It was a solid introduction to Phoenix-area beer as this was my first time in the city. Arrived there on a Saturday evening. It's a very small taproom with limited parking. Had a few IPAs. The scene is very geared towards your yuppie/urban bohemian. Had some guy recommending random beers to me from Mexico. I would drink the beer again, but not really my scene.

I think I fell in love with this place. We really enjoyed the drinks and loved the vibe of this place. Just a cool place to enjoy some great drinks. We were here for about an hour and there was a steady stream of customers the whole time we were there. Most customers ordered to go.

Solid brewery for beer drinkers. No thrills. Just sit back and drink beer and enjoy. Good selection and variety of beer.

I don't get the hype. I've been twice. The first time wasn't that impressive, but because everyone speaks so highly of this place I didn't want to review it based on what could have just been an off day. So I tried it again. The beer is good, but then again beer is subjective. Not everyone likes the same things. I will say that I could tell the beer was well made. Other than that there was nothing that really made them stand out from the crowd to me; nothing really exciting or memorable about the beers I tried. Both time I visited there seemed to be some kind of guided tour going on, but it didn't look like a fun tour for amateur beer lovers - everyone seemed to be dressed business casual and everything seemed more serious - no one was smiling. That (for me) lent to an odd vibe. It felt like I unexpectedly walked into the middle of a business deal. The place was semi crowded with the customary every other bar stool seating arrangement being implemented. No one was really talking to each other, everyone was just sitting there with a beer in front of them, stone faced, texting on their phones - careful not to make eye contact with anyone. Both times it just seemed awkward and not very welcoming - but maybe that's what "social interaction" is these days, what do I know? For all I know they all actually were talking to each other by text or on some "social media" app. Anyway, they have a good rep. I personally don't get it - but to each his own.

Wrenhouse has been an AZ favorite of microbrews. They host amazing different types, ranging from lagers, pale ales, sours, stouts and all in between! They just recently opened up a location up in Prescott which is awesome and a patio at their Phoenix location(totes awesome). Love the small place, but the big beers. They are true AZ and love AZ. Fun things they did with the Suns playoffs in 2021 was change their rally beer to a supportive color ways hype! Their spellbinder is one of those beers you should just travel to AZ just to get. Even if you grabbed it and left AZ. It’s worth it. The style of their cans are bomb. And they are EXCELLENT at seeing you up front with a beer and letting you know you must be inside or on their patio (so it was a quick pic grab, sorry for disobeying the rules). 11/10 would recommend.

I have never seen more Hazy IPA's in one location. Absolutely fabulous beers and the brewery is in a really nice old house. I wish I lived closer to this place. Definitely coming back. Oh and it has a Brewery Cat! You see dogs at every brewery but never Cats. Cats rule.

Staff is great! The beer even better lol sorry guys. Cute little chill place. If you love beer come here. See I'm even rhyming. Cheers to beers! I had the seven stars, yum...and the spellbinder Phantasm... Let me say I'm not an IPA girl, But this hazy IPA can get it. Enjoy!

Great brewery. Good vibes. Some interesting stuff on tap. Really liked the Crème de Banana. Nice little outdoor seating area. No food but you can bring in your own.

When we travel we like to hit local breweries and this is THE definition of local. Quaint, neighborhood vibe and you can see that it is popular based not just by the people here at 3pm on a Saturday but the exhaustive tap list (20 different varieties - from stouts to sours and everything in between). The beer tenders were amazing - friendly, personable and just plain nice. Quality of the beer matches the atmosphere too - top notch. We definitely will come back next time in town.

Cool craft brewery, with wide range of styles on draft and lots of cans available for on prem/to-go...although they gravitate towards lagers... Which is dope. #lagerlife

Easily Phoenix's best brewery. A must stop for IPA fans. Small tasting room. Nice selection of beers on tap with lots of cans to-go.

I went in expecting more due to the hype. I thought the beers I tried were ok, but nothing to get worked up over.

Let's be clear. The beer is fantastic. Love them. I tried to flag down the waiter and asked him a question about how much a four-pack is and he said they're all different prices and just left and never look back. I wanted to buy the dankworth but he left me standing there while he ate mints and chit chatted with a client without even serving or anything. Did not seem to care about other patrons and for that I am disappointed. But the beer was amazing. Saturday Feb 22 10:30 pm.

Definitely my favorite and one of the coolest breweries in the city. Perfect for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon drink and a must stop when visiting Phoenix. They are near the airport and a great place to unwind after a long flight.

My wife broke one her her favorite beer glasses from Wren House on January 1st. Now this particular glass was hard to come by because it wasn’t being made anymore. So I contacted the company and sent them a photo of the glass. Wren House really stepped up and pulled the same glass from their personal collection and sent it to me at no charge. Talk about customer service at its finest. We live up in Alaska and my wife loves their beer. Every time we visit family in Phoenix, we always make a stop. Thank you for being so kind!!

I thought this was a decent brewery. Then 2020 struck. Recently they implemented a mask policy and I tried to ask them via social media if they allow patrons who aren’t able wear masks. First they reported my comment and then they blocked me. It really was that simple and I received no communication. This seemed like a really immature and unprofessional way for a business to handle a question that’s..... I guess offensive somehow? I thought it was a reasonable question since I didn’t want to drive long distance unnecessarily. At a time when small businesses are struggling you would think business owners would be more grateful to have customers. When you hit that block button you know you’re losing 100% of all future business from that customer. This review isn’t about masks, or politics, or any other media driven nonsense. Personally I don’t care about any of that. It’s strictly about the businesses unprofessional conduct. If you personally value business ethics then this is a place best avoided. Onward and upward to good breweries with good beers and no negativity or angry people. Cheers.

Rarely do you find a craft brewery that does this wide a range of styles this well. I tried the lagers, the pales, the IPAs, the sours...all of them were world class. If you're VERY lucky gravy the cat might make an appearance. The staff were so friendly too. Also the merch is really good. Loved it here.

Great brewery. Really good beers and nice little spot. A converted small house doesn't allow for much room so I tend to only stop by for a beer or two before grabbing a four pack to-go!

Up from Tucson for a little staycation and had to visit Wren. I've had a couple of their offerings in Tucson and wanted to check out their taproom here. They have a great variety of styles. I had a blast trying several during our evening here. While not offering flights they do have 5 oz and 8 oz sizes perfect for trying out available beer. Atmosphere is very casual and comfortable as well. While they do not have food available they encourage bringing your own, ordering delivery, or ordering from vendors on site (when available). If you are worried about parking, you should be. It is limited on site but there is nearby street parking available. Plan ahead for your visit.

Wren is one of the best breweries in the state. Tiny indoor space and parking lot but such a cool reuse of an old house. Outside patio area is nice

Nice little home converted to tap room. Not a lot of parking available so Uber might be your best bet. Nice environment inside with great beers on tap plus the ones in can for either purchase or to enjoy here. They also have a good truck parked outside if you're looking to eat while here.

We loved this place. Awesome, well made, very tasty beers. Great variety of styles to choose from. Really liked how it's really a house, so cozy and warm and just nice to be in. Service and people behind the counter are an absolute gem.

My favorite Arizona brewery. Super good beers with a great variety. The bar staff is the best! Akil, Andrew, Hilda, Julia, Serena, and Tyler bring life to the taproom! Also a very close to the airport for anyone wondering!

Great little place to have some very good beer. The staff has always been fantastic! Julia is awesome, shes always on top of it and she knows her stuff! Parking isn't the best here if they're busy, there's not much of a parking lot. Other than that this place is great!

Really cool small brewery bar with delicious beers. Had the Fire Barrel, which I highly recommend - subtle smokey notes really make it great. Bartender Drew was awesome as well.

Nice little brewery with a good selection of beers on tap (sours, stouts, IPAs, etc) - something for everyone. There is plenty of seating both inside and out. Parking can be a bit tight, so carpool or bring a small car.

We stopped by this brewery based on all the good reviews. It's super cozy inside, and the beer is good. We tried several, and they were all good. Service was good despite the taproom being busy.

You’re going to have a great time at this brewery. If you want a true microbrewery atmosphere and the best beer in the area just go here and don’t waste your time with the other places. They focus on beer and beer only. Friendly bartenders, when the place has people waiting before it opens up you know it’s going to be worth it. Cheers.

No food options here, but who needs food when you have fantastic beer like this!! The service and ambience are great. A wonderful craft beer destination set in an old house. The beers are amazing, and plenty to choose from!! A definite must try whether you live here or just visiting!!

Not a lot to say. We stopped in for a beer while trafilfic was easing up. The place was nothing special. The beer, Spellbinder, was pretty good. The thing that put it over the top for a 5-star were the great people we met. My wifenand I sat next to a newly engaged couple and a couple 35 years married. We had a great conversation about beer, secrets to a great marriage, dogs, and children - quite eclectic! Anyways, we had a wonderful time making new acquaintances. We wish we would have got contact info ro stay in touch, but it was not to be. The brewery seemed like a local hangout as it was packed at 2pm on a Friday. We would love to come back and continue the conversation. Recommend!

Seriously the best brew house in Phoenix. Even beers that are my taste are fantastic. You'd be doing yourself a great disservice not to visit.

I was here in October. Didn't know much about the AZ craft beer scene outside of AZ Wilderness. With about 7 brewery visits total on my trip, Wren House offered the best beers easily. Dark robust, barrel aged, dry crisp, dank and hoppy. Beers for everyone to enjoy.

Beer was great! Definitely want to get their product in our neck of the woods! The tap room is a great bastion in the middle of a changing neighborhood. So far, best beer in AZ!

Supposedly the best brewery in Phoenix. Not a whole long on tap. Everything seemed about par, not really much knocking it out of the park. Staff was friendly, location was relaxed. But not too much to rave about.

Stopped here during a quick weekend trip to Phoenix. Fun, laid back atmosphere with good drinks. Staff were very friendly and as an added bonus, it’s dog friendly. If I’m ever back in Phoenix I’ll stop back.

Small microbrewery with cute and chill vibes. I love the design of their cans of beers. Tried the las frescas beer which was a pomegranate dragon fruit sour... It was super unique and I really liked it. I wanted to take it to go but unfortunately they only Brew small batches and have limited quantities :( also tried this coffee honey beer that was 10.1% but it was super smooth and tasty. Would definitely go again!!!

I went from a very casual beer drinker to knowing more than I ever wanted to about beer because I married a persnickety 'beer person.' Therefore I have ended up getting to know WH quite well since moving here a few years ago! This is the best brewery in AZ, and among the best in the country. We have enjoyed supporting WH through these pandemic months by utilizing online ordering for beer releases, curbside pick-up, and the fantastically convenient delivery service. Staff is always friendly and informative. We also love bringing our dogs to the tap room and look forward to doing so again in the future.

  • 4/5 Jay L. 4 years ago on Google
Great "coffee house" vibe .. but not coffee. They do have a great Coffee Porter though. We tried a few of their craft beers that are actually brewed on site. Excellent!! Big community table that feels natural to sit with other people. Oh ya. And great playlist going. If you have been on Rainey St in Austin Tx you will feel at home here. They have a rotation of food trucks that serve food on Weekends and some weekdays.

Very crowded and still very good. One of the best pilsners in town.
