Very fast service, you order & then seat yourself. It’s a tiny place, but a very nice cute place! We are from Minnesota and had our local hosts choose the restaurant. The tacos were ‘authentic’ and all the food delicious. Very affordable for great food. Only $55 for the four of us to eat.

Wow the tacos are amazing here; such great quality food. If you don't eat a lot please consider maybe ordering two or maybe one taco; I got a lot of meat on my tacos. Obviously a lot of meat is never bad. :) The tacos are made with handmade tortillas. This is such a wonderful environment with upbeat Latin music, and I say that because the music could be from Mexican artists or artists from other countries. High quality place with great customer service!

Went to this place after my first choice was too busy. Glad I came here! It was realllyyyy good! Got fish tacos & the costra taco! Spicy marg & a mango one! Can’t wait to come back for more tacos!! The chicharones were kind of stale so I probably wouldn’t order those again. But everything else, I will come back for! You order at the counter and it’s open seating from there, i doors or patio. There’s nice misters and music on the patio as well.

We dined at Taco Chelo in downtown Phoenix, it was a good experience. Cozy atmosphere with a creative twist on traditional Mexican cuisine. The service at Taco Chelo was friendly and attentive.

If you’re looking for some good taco and margaritas in downtown Phoenix, look no further. This restaurant definitely has a Spanish vibe with limited interior and bar seating. The patio is fairly decent size but be ware of the picnic tables, somehow I got wood splinters in my gym shorts. I really enjoyed the fish and chicken tacos. I also tried the chicken quesadilla and the flaming with chicken. Both were really good and are shown in the pics. The tortillas are freshly made in house and the food comes out quick. The only reason I didn’t give this spot a 5 star rating is because of it’s ordering process. Just like some of the other reviews mentioned, there is only on register that take both food and drink orders. This causes a huge line so make sure you order all of your food and drinks up front if you go during happy hour, otherwise you’ll be standing back in line.

Great vibes & even better tasting street tacos. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the music is very nostalgic of growing up in a Latin household. You might have to wait a little for your order, but totally worth it. These were some of the best tasting street tacos I’ve had! If you’re sitting at the bar, it might be a good idea to not sit directly under the air conditioning vents to avoid the falling droplets of condensation.

Cool part of town, cool vibe, great/fast service, topped with incredible food. The torta was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the tacos were amazing as well. This is a definite stop for when I’m in Phoenix.

Best tacos that I’ve had in AZ. The closest thing that reminded me of tacos from Mexico City. I tried each taco and my favorite was the carnitas. The Oaxaca Mule was good and strong. The Jamaican Margarita was smooth and a great deal during Happy Hour.

Cool looking, authentic tasting, eclectic spot with delish food and sauces. I liked the atmosphere, small but there is a bar, tables inside and out plus free ice cold water in the middle of the room. We ordered salad. Flamingos and chicken taco. They have their own spin on the meals. Not cheap but worth it.I will gladly be back

The tacos here are excellent. They have good horchata as well. The staff was friendly and professional.

I had the Carne Asada and Costra tacos and they were delicious! Horchata tends to be either a hit or miss when I go to Mexican restaurants and theirs was a definite hit! The staff are also very friendly and nice.

My wife and I ordered one of every taco 🌮 🙌 🌮 I struggle to find the words for how amazing these tacos were. Every single one of the tacos were astounding! Perfect level of char on the carne, the porky flavor coming through in the carnitas, the smokiness of a mesquite kiss just enough for nostalgia without overpowering the rest of the flavor, even a crazy caramelized onion and caramelized cheese taco that was was like nothing we'd ever experienced. The big shocker was how fantastic the veggie taco was, so flavorful and savory. The tortillas are often underappreciated, but here they are so good they have their own strong presence in the flavor and texture profiles that serves the elevate the rest of the handfuls of perfection. The food is just so damn good, and the atmosphere is relaxed. We were in town for a show and even tried to head back for seconds afterward, but they were closed already. We keep talking about driving the 2 hours just to enjoy it again. Next level wonderful. 💯 🔥

Amazing tacos and such a fun down town spot. Fast service for a Saturday afternoon around noon. The barbacoa was amazing, as was the costra. The fish taco was delicious and perfectly fried but the best one of all was the the Sonoran… 10/10. Chips and salsa are also a must, the chips are awesome. Only disappointment was the refried beans… tasted like ketchup. Highly recommend and will be returning!!

Food is good, but oily...really oily. They have a lot of choices for tacos, so there should be something for everyone. Chips and salsa are an extra charge and are not refillable. Water is available for free but the mixed drinks are a bit expensive...but are very good. Seating can be difficult to find inside but there is a lot of patio seating available. Service is quick, but it's rather loud in there and they are difficult to hear. No table service, so you need to order at the counter. Food is brought out to you and trays are cleaned up for you, at least. The atmosphere is good and it's a comfortable place to sit down and grab a quick bite and some drinks. All in all I was happy with the experience and would go back, but there are better places out there.

The food was good but not terrific. Very very oily and the steak has quite a few chewy pieces. The drinks were good but the mixed drinks are a bit expensive. Water is self-serve and you order at the counter. Food is brought out and dirty plates are picked up by the staff but everyone talks way too quiet and too fast so it's hard to know what they're asking or what food they've brought. It's a cool spot. I like the design they've gone for here and the outside seating is nice. I would go back but there are better taco experiences out there.

We visited Taco Chelo in the evening around 7 pm and it was busy, but there was still available seating inside as well as outside on the patio. It's a walk up counter where you order and then they bring the food out to you. We ordered both the Sonoran style tacos with cabbage and the Tijuana style tacos with cilantro and onions, as well as tortilla chips / salsa, refried beans and a margarita. The food was delicious and had a lot of flavor. The carne asada meat was marinated and tender and the size of the taco was a decent size (not the tiny ones so many street tacos seem to be these days). The refried beans had a creamier texture than I was used to but they were absolutely delicious. Whatever they are using to add some spice to it definitely works! Great salsa too. Overall, we were very pleased and if we found ourselves in the neighborhood, we would visit again.

So, the potato taco was simply amazing! It was incredible and did not need any sauce. The same goes for the flamingo. It was perfect. Although the place was busy, the atmosphere was pleasant. Caesar, the bartender, was so friendly, and he greeted everyone. 5 ⭐

I never write reviews but the Taco Chela salad was absolutely yummy and unique as were the vegetable tacos with roasted sweet potatoes. The salsas and sauces were so fresh and delicious. Homemade corn tortillas made the visit exceptional.

What a surprise! Order a la cart, and they bring it to your table. Highly recommend going for happy hour, 5$ hope margaritas, blended is stronger than on the rocks, and make sure to order spicy! Their flamingo dish is fabulous, recommend corn over flower tortillas, but both are delicious and made right in front of you!

Getting better and better with time... Their salads are some of the best I've had in my 50 years of life... That one with the jicama I yearn for, it's one of my top dishes in all of Arizona if not the world. Keep up the amazing work, bravo!

I got one of each of their more popular tacos. Ate all six of them. Feeling stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

I do not have the time to revisit restaurants too often, but when I have a taco craving I do like to make my way to come here. The fish tacos are great as well! I love their salsas and service is quick for how busy they can get. All the photos I attached to this review are from different times I have been here. I have probably come here 10+ times which often for me. I mention that, because it speaks to how often I make my way to go downtown and attempt to find close parking just to eat their tacos. Love it here!

Done if the best tacos I've ever eaten! They were flavorful and spiced just right. I tried the carne asada, the chicken, and the Sonoran. My favorite was the carne asada. I also had the prickly pear margarita which was flavorful but not too sweet. While it's a seasonal flavor, I imagine since it was that delicious, the original they make must be just as great.

Taquero Mucho is a decent spot for tacos; while I won't describe them as amazing, I tried the fish taco. The torta, however, had an average taste. Despite the nice ambience and seating, the overall flavor was mediocre. We appreciated the vibe and service, but I wouldn't recommend it solely based on taste.

Fast, affordable, delicious tacos! It might take a bit to out your order in as it’s a small place with not too much seating inside but once your order is in, the food comes out quickly. I went with the asada, fish, and carnitas tacos. They were all super juicy and delicious. They have a bar as well which makes for a great place to grab a bite and drinks after work or on the way to bar hop on Roosevelt Row. If it wasn’t for the limited seating inside, I’d definitely give them 5 stars. Looking forward to my next visit.

Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere in Roosevelt Row. Great drinks and tacos. El Pastor only served on Wednesdays which is the only one I haven’t tried. Consistently good even on busy days such as First Fridays. Friendly service always willing to help decide on a drink or meal. Also, very excited they are opening a new location in the East Valley

Decent tacos with fresh ingredients. Great spot to stop in for a quick bite. It has a nice little side patio to hang out on. The highlight for me was a toss up between the mezcal margarita (small but packs a punch) and the beef/egg taco which was a surprisingly good combination. If you ask for their best you'll get pork, chicken and the beef and egg.

I can’t say enough good things about it. Service was awesome got our drinks right away from the bar and found seating at the community table and enjoyed our tacos with the freshest handmade tortillas. Cutest old ladies making them and reminds me of my grandma. I’d highly recommend and make sure to get the salsas for the tacos.

This is a good little Taqueria. It’s in the downtown area Phoenix not too far from Chase Field. They have a good selection of tacos all on house made tortillas. Our first visit here, we tried a selection of five different tacos and all of them were good. Our favorite tacos were the fish taco, Al Pastor, and the Sonoran taco. We’ll be coming back to taste some more! Some of my favorite items are: Sonoran Taco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Al pastor taco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fish taco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My guide on how I use the 5 star system: ⭐️ = Not good ⭐️⭐️ = Not terrible, but would not get again ⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Solid, but I’d try something else before this again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Really liked it! You should try this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Loved it! Must try I’ll make adjustments to my ratings after subsequent visits. If you see a .3 or .7 it means: .3 = Wasn’t as good the 2nd or last time I tried it .7 = This was better the 2nd or last time I tried it.

I wish i can give this place 5 stars because the food is delicious! But someone please do something about the flies inside! This place needs to shut down for a day or two and control the issue. Counted 15 plus flies at the bar while bartender was making drinks, it is impossible to eat inside without flies attacking you. Such a shame because we liked the food but had to ask for a cover to take it home instead. Will not be coming back.

Have some vegetarian option and the service was very fast. Loved their fish tacos n bean burritos. Flamingos were good but only in the center we found the cheese stuffing and at the end we had only fried tacos.

Damn, so sad. I LOVE Al Pastor Tacos. I order them whenever I see them on the menu, forever searching for the Mexico City Al Pastor flavors. Paquime Street Food of Mexico so far has the best. Highly recommend them. These tacos have no flavor, they didn’t have pineapple, tortillas were amazing. The salsas and the lime made them taste good but I definitely wouldn’t call these Al Pastor. Grilled pork maybe? Definitely disappointed :/
