This is absolutely my favorite sushi restaurant in town. We have been coming here for years and always very pleased with our experience. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. I always find myself ordering too much food. They also offer a variety of noodles, you can't go wrong with their yakisoba which typically comes with shrimp but you can substitute the shrimp for chicken if you are allergic to shellfish. I would highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for good sushi that won't break the bank. Update: Still my favorite sushi 🍣 restaurant. Great value and good food. Tonight I tried out for the first time their online ordering and it was fantastic. I got everything that I ordered with all my modifications. If you having trouble getting them on the phone just order online.

The sushi is really good For Real!! So many choices to choose from. Everyone can find a sushi they like I promise. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. I love that the chefs greet you when you walk in and say bye when you leave. Very friendly and clean. It opens at 4pm but worth the wait. Prices are fair as well.

Had the salmon bento made me feel a little iffy maybe the fish wasn’t super fresh not sure. But was good overall. Critiques : - straw is too short for the cup - table was wet from wiping when I sat down so dry table would be nice Things that made up for the experience the staff was very friendly. And said thank you and bye as we were leaving.

We were told that this place was supposed to be da 💣. Com but honestly it was not nice at all. All the sushi was served "Hot' & cooked, I like cold raw sushi not hot & cooked. 2 of the 4 dishes we ordered I ate, the other 2, I threw away. Service was great, we received our food within minutes. Atmosphere was not very nice we ended up bunched in a corner with 2 other tables of people that just came to very loudly talk about dungeons and dragons and were having 1 saki shot after the other. Not a place for a romantic dinner that is for sure. Will we go back, definitely not! The foods appearance was about a 6/10 it was overly decorated with mayo and chili sauce most likely to hide the taste. Nothing here tasted fresh or raw to us, my wife and I were disappointed.

A friend of mine highly recommended this place, so I went to check it out with my partner. I ordered the Unaju (eel bowl) and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was prepared in the traditional lunchbox format, with generous helpings of cooked eel in unaju sauce. I loved the little side dishes on the side, it was a wonderful experience to eat and see. I also got tempura and edamama to share with my partner, and they were well done! Since then, I have been returning to Akaihana to try their various dishes and indulge in the sushi rolls. I'm also very fond of their Arnold Palmer drink that's made with green tea. The service is always amazing with attentive servers that make the eating experience all the more special and wonderful. The restaurant offers booth, table, and bar seating, as well as outdoor seating too. The prices are very good for the amount of food you get, which is a plus when it comes to sushi. Come here if you haven't yet!

Excellent. Ties Tokyo Lobby as my new favorite sushi spot. I normally don't order fried/tempura rolls but I got the Paradise Roll and it is now one of my top three favorite rolls I've ever eaten. I haven't tested the fish here but I'm confident it's just as good as any. Lots of locals/regulars around the bar displaying the comfort with the staff that indicates a long-term, well-run establishment. Can't wait to come back.

I've been to many sushi places around the valley, but Akai Hana remains my true favorite. They have a vast menu for not only sushi, but lunch and dinner plate options as well. Unlike other sushi places, I think all the rolls are delicious and distinct (other places tend to have the same roll with a small difference). Happy Hour prices are great, service can be slow for dinner, but they tend to be pretty busy. I've never been disappointed by what I've ordered whether it's a new roll or a repeated favorite. Friends I've invited here have really liked it too. Las Vegas roll, Sunset roll, Nixon roll, and the Sashimi Salad are just a few of my favorites. Try it!

The sushi was well made. It took 15 minutes for someone to take my order. No napkin, chopsticks, dish for sushi. No one came to follow up. 3 employees are sitting down eating. The service definitely could be so much better. The patio was closed on a nice day.

My first time there and it was such a wonderful experience! Pleasantly welcomed at the door and didn't feel awkward dining alone! I ordered the Sashimi Salad and it was so flavorful! I enjoyed every bite! I need to go back to try other dishes!

Lovely sushi place, right off the freeway. The lunch specials are good and well priced. My lunch mate got the special and could not finish all the food. I got a couple of rolls and we shared a garlic edamame appetizer. I don't recommend the garlic edamame. The staff were nice and fairly attentive. Will definitely return! Highly recommend the rolls and any lunch box special.

We’ve been coming here for 15 years for a reason. Their sushi is consistently delicious, their team has all been working there forever, and it feels like home. Every time we try something new it’s a delight and we’ve never been disappointed. Definitely recommend sitting at the sushi bar, it’s always fun to watch the magic happen. Love you Mr Sushi!

I love this place! I’ve enjoyed numerous birthdays and Mother’s Day celebrations here. The owner is super friendly and the staff is fantastic. I’ve recommended this location to many many people. The food is exceptional. The menu has such a variety of all kinds; that I try something new every time I return. Hands down, by far-one of my favorite places to eat in all of Phoenix!

Overall dining experience was good. Service was ok, having to ask for some lemon a few times, but our food came out fairly quick. Our meals were nicely prepared, garnished and flavorful. I hear that if you sit at thr bar sushi portions and the experience is kicked up a notch. The chefs will definitely make it worth your while.
