I went here for lunch. The food is good. The patio is dog friendly if you’re interested in bringing your dog. You seat yourself and walk up to the counter to order. They give you a number to put on your table and they bring your food. The bar has a ton of options on tap. I got the hot chicken sandwich and liked it a lot. The confetti fries are really good too. The Americana burger was delicious. I didn’t really like the onion rings, the batter is sweet. They give you a hot sauce to dip it in and that kind of balances it but I wouldn’t order them again. The heart shaped box beer is really good. Overall this is a good place to eat and I enjoyed the atmosphere and open air patio.

Well what a freaking surprise huh. We have loved the original location since 2013 and as anticipated we love this location. It's really quite amazing to see what you guys have built right next to us. The love and thought you put into what is put out for us consumers is amazing. Enough about that, this location is now my favorite. I love efficiency and this location provides that since it's go up and order. It's very spacious and open. Not sure of the chicken sandwich I had is at the other location now or not but damn that was great. Spicy but not over the top, full of flavor. We love what you guys have done with it and can't wait to see what more you add over time.

So glad we stopped in here on our trip to PHX!! The beer hit the spot and the staff was absolutely awesome! Kyle poured our beers and told us everything we needed to know about our choices. The staff truly made this experience for us! The guys at the door offered suggestions on what to try and we weren’t disappointed! The food was 🔥 we ordered the confetti fries and the PB&J burger they were superb!!! Took home the Desert Yeast Project to share with friends. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Phoenix!

The weather was wonderful and one of the first things I saw as I was walking up to the place, was the pride flag. I really love that and it made me feel safe. The food here is phenomenal. I've never had a bad burger or fries at this place. Their beer is also exceptional. The only downside of this particular visit was that they didn't have any dark beers on tap. No Porters or Stouts. I think with such a diverse line of beers that they offer, they should have at least one offer for people who to like to drink dark beer on tap. That is my only complaint. I love bourbon and whiskey so I ended up getting a NEW fashioned. It was a nice refreshing twist on an old fashioned. So,.I ended up getting 2!! My husband likes fruit sour beers, and they had two new ones on tap today and my husband loved them! They also have wine for all you wine lovers. We love this place and I will be back!!

Great beer garden for anytime of day. The menu is outstanding.... Then they still have food! The food is also outstanding. Had the pretzel and while not expecting much for something light, blown away. Tried the burger and just as great. Definitely a great place to hang out, have a beer and maybe play some yard games too.

Great beer and awesome food. Love the dog friendly patio, plenty of shade and misters. Their food is top notch for a brewery, loved everything we tried! The duck fat fries and soft pretzel were the favorites. LGBTQ+ friendly!

Always a great spot to hang out over great beers! I live in the neighborhood and am really glad we have this place! Food menu has significantly improved over time, now with vegan/vegetarian options, and they have a few non-alcoholic options too.

Really lovely big open space, as much inside as it is outside, lots of misters which is very useful in these temperatures! The beer is obviously outstanding, the staff were really great, super friendly and fast. It's not cheap but it is quality beer in a really nice space so it's well worth it. Loved it.

This place is lovely. A good majority of the place is outdoors so on nice days it’s perfect, entirely shaded with plenty of fans and misters. The beer is delicious and the food is top notch, probably the best burger I’ve had in a long time. I believe all their sauces are house made, so they won’t taste like what you’d expect, but they’re all good. Our food came quickly and there’s two bars to get your drinks which is nice.

This is a great brewery, large open yard, with shade and a shipping container bar setup. Along with a large indoor dining area. Great brews at an ever increasing price point, but that's industry wide for craft products, makes this a great location to hang out and play one of the many games offered on site. Bring your pups!

The drinks are good! The cocktails are good, Pineapple Express is great! Cactus drop is also good! The food good is good too. Nice environment, cool outdoor seatings, I like the fire place a lot. Friends can sit together have a drink and talk, for a good friends’ night.

This is one of my favorite places to go in downtown Phoenix and I highly recommend it. The food is incredible and the beer is top notch. The veggie burger is actually one of the best I've had! The outdoor space is beautiful with a lovely atmosphere. Great service, friendly bar tenders and super casual. It's also dog friendly. What's not to love!

Had a 10hr layover in Phoenix and decided to stop and grab a bite, absolutely loved it. The fries are cooked in duck fat which just makes them oh so yummy, and the pulled pork is a 3/5 for pulled pork in my (arbitrary) book ;) it feels like a definite fun place to spend time with friends, meet some new people and have some great local drinks! The staff is also super awesome. You should give it a try!

High rating based on service & atmosphere. Busboys constantly checking if they can take trash for you. Tap-tenders give accurate description about everything on drink menu, along with taste tests. I had Honey BBQ sandwich. Came with fries deep fried in duck fat. I could taste the difference faintly. The sandwich was exploding with meat, crispy onions, & slaw. I saved half for breakfast the following morning. Eating outside with the 70s punk-rock-funk music was an entire vibe that makes you want to continue any conversation.

This is a great place for craft beer (not pictured are all the other beers I had that evening). The AZ Fried Chicken sandwich was very good, a little too much Buffalo sauce, but still quite good. The coleslaw was good as well, and had a nice spiciness to it. As with just about everywhere I have eaten in Phoenix, service was great, and service for me definitely makes an experience memorable. Overall, I would definitely return, mostly for the beer.

Cassidy was the rudest person ever. She had the audacity to say she was the manager even tho we waited time to go in. She clapped when we just decided to leave without having a problem with her. I didn’t get the attitude ? Never coming here again .

Server was awesome and warned me about lactose in a drink that would've ruined my night! Solid drinks, great service, fantastic location and atmosphere. The fire pits were a great find walking around Phoenix on one of its coldest weekends.

From the doorman, cashier to bartender, they gave off such good vibes. The peanut brittle ale ( whatever its called ) is amazing. Got churros and fish taco, yumyum. Definitely my fav beer place in the area !

Great sampling of beers - might be the BEST 2 flights I've ever had. Props to the brewer. Food was great too. This place was hopping - obviously well loved by the locals.

Amazing pulled pork sandwich. Great flavors, duck fat fries were incredible. Hot honey bbq sauce was perfect. Got a flight of hazy IPAs to compliment the meal. Highly recommend. 6 stars!

The ambient was good, didn’t really like the music, but only because it wasn’t my type of music! Very chill place, would go again to hangout w/ friends. Drinks were good even though i really don’t like alcohol. Very cute spot i say! People also had their dogs so pets are welcome!

I came there on a Saturday afternoon., I did a brief walk about the area to take in the vibe. There were a few establishments around and I decided on the Wilderness DTPHX. Big ,open, busy. I had a basic cheese burger and fries with a bottled coke. I found a table amidst all the other patrons and sat down with my number. (44). First the food: I received my order in a good time frame and the presentation was awesome, not to mention; Delicious. The couple of things that might have been on the down side, were the flies. A few too many for a comfortable dine; also the music. The level of music caused customers to raise their voices , creating a verbal distortion that was a little annoying. I did not try other places in the area so i cant compare places or value. I will say the price was decent. The food was hot, well made, delicious. Aside from some minor afflictions I would recommend this as a great drop in spot for a quick meal. Oh; and before I sign off; this place had a super wide selection of local beers from water in the regions of Arizona. Would I eat there again? Yes! Yes I would.

I kinda wished I loved in Phoenix so I could always go here! Every beer I've tried, I've liked. The burgers are delicious and the fries might be my favorite ever! Add to that the great atmosphere and this place has it all.

The beer selection is extensive! The seasonal blueberry cider was one of my favorites. I love how you can sample different beers/ciders before committing to a full glass! I tasted the prickly pear cider and it was sweet and refreshing. The patio is a great place to hang out, especially to enjoy Arizona’s fall/winter weather. The duck fat fries were tasty!

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. AZ hot fried chicken sandwich can be quite messy to eat but also very yummy. I recommend the blue corn lager.

Easily one of the best breweries in Arizona and I love their focus on local AZ ingredients. They always have something new and interesting on tap and the food is really good (though they are mysteriously missing the pork belly sliders offered at the original Gilbert location). This location does have the advantage of the large dog friendly patio though. Street parking and paid lots only in the area.

Place was quick to order food and efficient with the line. The staff was super friendly and lots of space to sit. Food was decent, had the pulled pork and epic onion rings. Peach cider was great. Great ambiance- would go back again!

We found AZ widerness an have been coming 2 to 3 times a month. We bring all our out if state visitors. The fingers an fries can not be beat. Its great vibe to come with a group of different diets! Dogs are welcome an so are kids! The food comes quick an correct everytime. And the beer, the beer us a must but they also have cocktails, wine an cider. Enjoy!!

Being from New Mexico I'm used to visiting excellent local breweries - this place is one of the best I've ever visited. The sheer variety of high quality beers can be overwhelming so I decided to have two flights. Beer after beer I was amazed. The taste profiles of these beers were some of the best I've ever had. And then there's the food - wow - everything I tried on my two visits was delicious. Top all of this off was an excellent environment and servers who want you to have an excellent experience makes this place TOP NOTCH. I can't wait to come again.

I enjoyed this place. I was on my own for the evening so I decided to come here. I had been to the Chandler location several years ago. The food was great as were the drinks. In fact I was shocked at how quickly both arrived, despite the fact that they were filling up quickly as it was Friday night and the monthly First Friday festival was going on. Pricing was a bit high on the drinks, but I'd go again. I got the Wagyu burger and it was great.

  • 4/5 David D. 2 years ago on Google
They've got an amazing space, excellent food, and lots of drink options. They've got a good selection of mixed drinks, beers, and several sours. My only gripe would be no malty beers on tap. Either high tess 10%+ abv beers or light and hoppy beers. Overall, it's a great place to hang out, bring friends, or even meet new friends.

Always a great time at AZ wilderness! They have delicious food options and their beer selection is quite good as well. The vibe is always nice and a great hang out spot in Phoenix Downton! They have an interesting wine selection as well. I tried their frozen wine cocktail and it was yum! They also host live music performances on weekends! And are LGBTQ+ friendly!

Great food, beer and vibes. Highly recommend. Went a few times during my stay in PHX and was not disappointed. The Chocolate Bunny was my favorite beer I tired. Note, if you bring your own scooter you must lock it up outside. They were able to provide a look to my friend who brought his own but it took them a few minutes to lock and unlock it.

This is my favorite place to get a beer in Arizona. There isn't a bad seat outside or inside. Great bartenders and service. The beer variety is awesome. Anytime I come downtown, I stop by here. I'd recommend it to any beer fan.

Love what this business stands for, and their sustainability efforts. Their food, beer & craft beverage selection is incredible, as is their staff. Very happy, vibrant environment to spend my time. I went back there twice on my 4-day visit to Phoenix.

Awesome beer selection and delicious food. The patio is huge with misters and an outdoor bar too. The beer tenders were all super friendly as well. The inside space is also nice and the merch was super cool. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

This place never disappoints. The food is good, and the drink options (including non-alcoholic drink selections) are extensive. Also, I was impressed with how they are making sure people stay, minimally, 6 ft apart. Going out makes me nervous these days, but I felt pretty safe there.

Horrible Service. We came for my birthday and was greeted in a very rudely manner by the hosts (Cassidy). With me trying to ignore the rude interaction we put our name on the list and wait for about 20mins.. my girlfriend goes up to see how much longer it would take and was also treated poorly. I rarely write reviews but felt like this needed to be said because the place for the most part is a great hangout spot but having employees treat costumers in such a poor manner really doesn’t help.. especially for a special occasion such as a birthday.

Wow, if I knew fancy big words to describe this place I would use them but, since I don't let me just say that the peanut butter and jelly ? was everything in my mouth never knew it needed, and those Duck fat ? And the ? Gose ? was wicked. I had a mouthgasim ?

We have hosted a number of birthdays and family events here over the past year, and Arizona Wilderness has made each one wonderful. They are already a reliable choice for great beer and delicious food, but we love that they also make it so easy to reserve a table and host a gathering! We've pre-ordered party platters and we've waited to order individually when we arrived. We've come with just adults and we've brought all the kids along. It's always a great experience. All the thumbs up!

Great place to have a beer. Love the beer. The people that work here have no manners at all. Very rarely do I meet a person that wants to serve. Downtown site

I was away from AZ working in Saudi Arabia for the past 3 months, and this was my 1st stop when I got home for a 2 week leave. I share the context because that is just how good the beer is! Highly recommended for both natives and visitors. Phenomenal beer and if you're hungry you can't go wrong with anything on the food menu, but the duck fat fries are every bit as good as advertised.

Great food! But pass on the cole slaw. That slaw is like if a radish and onion both swiped right, had a their first date in your mouth and said yolo. Everything else is great though.

My absolute favorite bar in all of Phoenix. The ambience is great, their outdoor area is a ton of fun (doggos welcome) and the beer is outstanding. Always a great time here. Also, their fried chicken sandwich may be the best one I've had in all of Phoenix... and I've had A LOT of chicken sandwiches. They're doing takeout during the COVID-19 pandemic, get at it!

Good beer, good food, great patio, and ambiance! As good as it gets! We came here pre Diamondbacks game for dinner. They have a wonderful, large, open-air patio that's covered. There are plenty of games, firepits, and dogs for everyone. A super laid back, fun environment! They have an indoor and outdoor bar. Full menu - with delicious burgers! They even had a solid music playlist in the background. The only downside is parking can be a little challenging in this area, but we'll deff be back!

Definitely try this place out! AMAZING!! I know that I’m going to for sure again just because I want to eat it there because I can only imagine how much better this was. Don’t get me wrong this was amazing. I ordered food for delivery during this pandemic craziness and was extremely pleased with my dinner choice for the evening. Packaged well for delivery drivers and contactless delivery options. Great organization too. No spills or anything. They pack it so your food doesn’t get soggy. As for food, I order and that’s what’s pictured is their Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich w/ Jalapeño Slaw and Duckfat Fries and it was awesome. Fried chicken was nice an crispy and buffalo sauce was on point. Jalapeño slaw was perfect addition and nice crunch. Fries were finished, let me rephrase they were inhaled with no remains left. Everything was so good and I can’t wait to try it again in restaurant and to continue making my way through this menu. I also ordered the Downtown Burger in this order as well. Thick burger piled with toppings. Everything fresh and juicy. Side of Duckfat Fries with it as well. Like I said before definitely ordering from again and will be in restaurant as soon as things get more normal again!
