This place has quality food and offerings Daily for everyone. The staff at st. Mary's Food Bank is diligent and on point with all their operations. Their work slow is smooth and they'll get you in and out quickly whether you're driving through or walking up. Beware there might be a little much to carry... but looking on the bright side there is no reason for anyone to go hungry. Bring your ID for boxes of food or you'll get like 3 bags if you don't have ID.

We really enjoy volunteering for Sr. Mary's. They provide great services for the less fortunate and during the holiday season - those services are needed most. If you have some free time and you want to give back, visit St. Mary's or any other food bank this holiday season.

This place is a good resource when in need for food. However they do not give you more food if you have more than one person in the household. I was told everyone gets the same amount. If you go, prepare to wait for about an hour. The lines are long.

I was there as a volunteer. The people are so friendly and helpful. You can tell they care a great deal for their clients/families. We packed Senior boxes today. Overall about 770 boxes that will be distributed to Senior citizens having difficulty managing their day to day life including nutritious food This is a great organization and worthwhile to volunteer here. I will be making this a regular activity!!

***TRUCK DRIVERS*** Place is pretty easy to find. Follow the signs for shipping and receiving. Everything is labeled well. Easy check in. Immediately given a door. Don't try to check in more than 1 hour early. Docks are super tight if you're in a sleeper. But manageable. People are nice. Very reasonable unload time. Overall good experience. Not to much street parking.

They take SUCH good care of volunteers, this was the nicest nonperishable box packing shift yet. Have been coming here for years but the new administration worked especially hard to share information and I look forward to helping again in the future.

I called this church to see if they would put a picture of my brother up. He is missing. Me and my family are desperate to find him. He served in the military. Last time he was seen he had been assaulted. I was extremely disappointed when they said point-blank… No, we cannot do that. All I needed them to do was to put up a picture in case anyone saw him.. I thought churches were supposed to be compassionate. It is a big disappointment to me, considering I have been a Christian, my whole life. We are taught to help others . My brother has given to charities his whole life. My family and I have given to numerous charities as well. I hope no one there ever had to experience a family member that is missing. And if they do… I pray that people will openly help them when they need it.

Thank you St. Mary’s, we’re thankful and blessed with the food you’ve all provided. I’ve used you a couple times and I’m grateful for the food. The staff are great at what they do despite doing work in the heat. I appreciate it. Many blessings to you all.

I used the home delivery program. No one ever came to my home for the delivery. Then when I called to speak with someone all they can do is schedule another delivery for 2 weeks out. Their delivery partner lied stating no one was available. At no time did anyone knock on my door. Their delivery partner was obviously lazy and did not want to come to lay door. I stayed home from 6am to 6pm waiting all day and rearranged my schedule so that I could be home for the delivery.

I absolutely love volunteering at St Mary's food bank! The staff is incredibly helpful and are always wearing a smile 😊 I love the energy the room fills with during our packing sessions. They always have fun upbeat music! Thanks for all you do for the community ❤️❤️

I volunteered here on a Saturday. It was a great experience. Very well organized and the food bank staff are amazing people. I would highly recommend signing up for a volunteer shift. Great experience for an amazing cause.

A wonderful charity that is well organized. If you show up for a working shift, then you will be part of an assembly line to box food for people in the community who need the help. You can call ahead and be part of your own team of friends, neighbors, or coworkers. Or you can show up as an individual. You can make a difference.

This place is so chaotic . It’s built like a FEMA Camp . This place expects you to drive around the neighborhood risking getting pulled over or in a wreck. I’m glad the police are outside “cooking” in the Sun . Acting like they want to “Help” the people they hate and lock up, What a joke . Whoever is in charge eat a d!ck .

First time coming and I truly thank God for these people and the help. They were so warm and giving and no judgement. Me and my kids will be volunteering him very soon.

I just started the Community Kitchen program. If you're looking for a second chance and are interested in culinary or warehouse training this would be the place to go! All you have to do is show up. Everyone is so kind, they make you feel welcomed and they truly are there to help you and make sure you don't fail. I will update my review when I actually have spent some time working the program, but I'm so happy to be there and finally am hopeful about my future. They do more then just provide food to you if you need it, they change lives.

I have requested five different times to receive food from St Mary's food bank. Today was the last one for me I have never received one loaf of bread or anything from St Mary's food bank. I have scheduled five different times I have never gotten a text message phone call or email saying that they were going to be late or that they weren't going to show. Today today - 10/26/2022. They had scheduled me to stay at home from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. because they were going to deliver food for me and my four total family members I did not receive a text message and email a call nothing this is a fifth time that they have not delivered. Does St Mary's food Bank actually deliver food because you couldn't prove it by me

Staff & volunteers were very nice and courteous. Be prepared to possibly have to make a few trips around the block before you'll get in. Normally a very busy place, but lines do move pretty fast considering how many cars there are. Still I would plan to be in line waiting about a half an hour. Come early! Thank God for this place, times have been very tough lately. ❤️

We are very grateful for St Mary's help. We just wish they would put protein in the delivery boxes. Not sure why they stopped. One 5oz can of tuna mixed with soy protein and water isn't much for 2 older people for the week.

I volunteered at St.Mary's Food Bank in Surprise, Arizona, for six months as a volunteer from the Church of the Brethren in 2003 and had a terrible experience! Really terrible! The director at the time managed the food bank with a thuggish un-Christian attitude and allowed the paid managers and administrators, many from employment with Maricopa County, to run rough shod over the warehouse and volunteers. I was summarily dismissed without the opportunity to present my side of a story involving a black male activist who arrived one day with racist baggage that was liberally dispersed everyday at the warehouse. Even John Van Hengel, the founder of the world's first food bank (sic) who kept an office nearby and with whom I had many discussions, was displeased with the director at the time. In my heart I pray this creep got the sad ending in life that he deserved. All this is to vent my feelings and to warn others wishing to volunteer at this food bank to take care....the people managing and in control of St.Mary's Food Bank are often working there with mixed motives and represent the worst behavior to be found in the field of food relief in Arizona.

I finally was able to go early enough to receive food boxes but my prior 3 trips before that I was too late and they ran out of food before 1:30. A little frustrating when your already struggling to feed your kids but then also 3 trips I made there and wasted precious gas for nothing.

Volunteered a few weeks back. It was a like well oiled machine. We were given clear instructions, and people running it were very nice! Also, the food bank is open M-F 8am-2pm. If different households are going in the same car, they require a valid form of ID and proof of residency, such as a monthly bill.

The St Mary's on 31st Avenue and Thomas was Amazing. I will refer them to anybody. They give a lot unlike the church distribution center. The one church gave very little. Not enough to last the week for a family of three. I was very grateful for they're support. Thank you St. Marys!

A professionally organized set up for packing and providing nutrition services for those in need. Handicap access on Saturday absent for volunteers. I made it up the steps and continued around the venue using my walker. They provided me with comfortable seating so I could participate by making boxes. I assume the wheelchair ramps are available if requested. Very enlightening experience - participate!

Try to get here by 6:30AM. If you come after 8A, you'll drive in circles. It can be frustrating. But the key is... Patience is a virtue!!

It was a week ahead of the date aswell, was told I was approved, and that they understood the circumstance. So I started my roadtrip, when I get called fr...
