My husband brought me here for the first time, he said the food is so great and I am impressed. The only thing that ia missing in the food that I really expected is that the spicy. It's not spicy at all, we asked for the fish sauce with lot of chili and that save the food. I still recommended this place 💯👍.

Absolutely amazing Thai food. If you're someone that eats spicy food regularly then don't shy away from the spicy options. They're not as spicy as the menu leads you to believe. The Thai Iced Tea absolutely delicious and the waitstaff was very pleasant and friendly.

DELICIOUS! Second best Thai food in AZ in my opinion, but first best with originality. I go for the dragon eggs evrytime and get them both crispy and steamed but the crispy are definitely better. Can't go wrong with either though. Similiar to dim sum meat filling. Green curry is SPICY and incredible. The pork and noodle dish was pretty good but not my favorite. Anything with their coconut rice is great

I come here from time to time because I am picky about the drinks they serve. They have a wide selection of drinks but regular brewed iced tea. They have flavored tea which I am not fond of and that is tie breaker for me. I don't like ordering soda but here I have too. Their soups, appetizers, and salads are pretty good. If you like ribs this is the place to try it. Their serving portions is on the small side. I ordered the pad Thai and there wasn't enough noodles in the dish. It was disappointing for me. I'm used to heaping amount of noodles for the pad Thai in other places. I remembered why I don't come here often. The atmosphere is trendy with art on the walls. Didn't hear any music playing. We did have a nice server and with a smile. It takes them awhile to come back to the table. So be ready to order when they ask you for your drink orders.

We loved it. We started with 'dragon eggs' which were really cute and did resemble game of thrones dragon eggs. Fun. They were a meat ball in like won-ton covering. I had galee gai and it should have been quite a bit hotter for my taste. Menu said it was medium I'd say mild. But it was a nice yellow curry. My partner had peanut passion. Chicken with peanut sauce. Basically what they serve with satay chicken, but a lot of it. Really good as well. Oh, the atmosphere, typical Asian restaurant, with some great tiger paintings. All in all a fine meal.

I left my wallet on the table on top of my to go box… I forgot them both without realizing.. my waitress brought me my food before I got to the door but, no wallet. I realized this halfway home and went back after calling them.. they denied it all and completely avoided me. This place has shady shady people who work there and that includes the white guy. He did not help at all and I’m extremely disappointed in this restaurant. I will never never return. It’s incredible how shady she was bringing me my food like she was doing me a favor while pocketing my wallet and everything in it! We even gave you a good tip! Good luck to you. I do not recommend eating here!

I was excited to try their food yesterday. I bought 3 different dishes to try. I was so disappointed. The food was not good at all. I threw away 40+ worth of food. I read the reviews before I tried them out. It's hard to believe the high reviews are real. Honestly I never leave reviews, but seriously the food was a no go.

Really enjoyed the food; the "Dragon's Eggs" appetizer in particular was good enough to derail my train of thought mid-sentence with its unexpected deliciousness. We showed up pretty near closing time and the staff was very gracious about it. That plus (I assume) pandemic worries made for almost private dining in a comfortable patio setting. Excellent service overall. Visited here once before, ~10 years ago. At least as good as then and maybe better.

Went here with a few friends. To start, the seating was not the best for being a sit down restaurant. Needs a face lift. We started with some appetizers and drinks and then ordered some plates to share. Overall the service was pretty slow, shortly after we started eating, we finished our first (alcoholic) drink and we waited about 20 min before they came back to check on us and get us another drink. Most of us agreed on the order of what we liked 1. Yellow curry 2. Drinks 3. Fat one (noodles) 4. Tropical fried rice 5. Pad Sie-ew 6. Chicken egg rolls 7. Peanut passion 8. Crispy Corn Fritters 9. Holy Basil chicken

Cozy place with interesting appetizers and entrees. My husband and I came here for our anniversary and really enjoyed everything! They weren't super busy for a Monday evening and we were well taken care of by the staff. They have unique flavors and combinations for Their dishes, it made us want to come back to try other things! The dragon eggs were delicious I wanted to take a container of that sauce home it was so good! It's located in phoenix They have plenty of parking in the back. Definitely a good place to hit up!

Perfectly cooked food. Service was great and quick. I tried dragon eggs (both crispy and steamed) for the first time based on the reviews from google. It did not disappoint me. We ordered dragon eggs, Tom Ka Gai soup, Red curry, and Thai sweet tea (for two people). Nothing went wrong. The soups were served in one of a kind of Fire pots, which not only kept the soup piping hot, but made it look incredibly impressive.

We were driving around downtown Phoenix looking for a downtown spot to eat. We stopped at a restaurant but then remembered we had looked up Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives featured restaurants. So we quickly changed our plan and headed to the Wild Thaiger. In our week long trip, this was the BEST food experience we had around Arizona. Here’s why: we ordered the dragon eggs, which were featured on the show. They were even better than we expected. We got half and half steamed and crispy, and ate every one of them. We also ordered a veggie egg roll and the spring rolls, which were fresh and amazing. Since we came there because of the show, we were going to order Guy Fieri’s picks, but we noticed they called their soups Hot Pots, so we decided to order those before ordering Guy Fieri’s picks. The climax of the meal was when they served our hot pots, which arrived in authentic, Thai style volcano bowls, that were warmed by flame. The broths, vegetables, and meats were everything you could’ve imagined and more. We ordered the coconut broth with tofu and veggies and the super soup. Both had different style broths and were equally amazing. The coconut one has the extra punch of flavor. We ate our entire hot pots and didn’t order anything else since we were so stuffed! They also had authentic Asian beer choices, which was cool. We spoke with the waitress about DDD and she gave us a lot of good information about the restaurant, the show, and the surrounding area. The service was incredible, excellent, A+! If you haven’t been to Wild Thaiger in downtown Phoenix, then you don’t know what Thai food is!

I enjoyed my food as well as the atmosphere. It's a small place but the service was quick and ambience was great. The Chicken Satay was amazing. I also recommend the Mi Dung. The veggie rolls were ok so next time I will pass on those. I would love to come here again to try some of their other menu items.

Food was wonderful, super flavorful. I will be back. we ordered a "Thai Spicy" dish... The flavors and everything was great except it was not very spicy. I'm not sure if I just have a high tolerance but I have had 3star much spicier than this one.

  • 1/5 Olivia G. 3 years ago on Google
My husband went for the first time today because their photos looked so good! He came back disgusted he witnessed them using the microwave to warm up shrimp and chicken and place it in the sauce and serve to customer. The chicken does not looked cooked properly! Ordering from a restraunt I don't want food from a microwave. I could have picked up from grocery store and microwaved my damn self! Pretty upset and disgusted! Order at your own risk!

Top quality food. We had the beef panang, the boar, and the dragon eggs. So very tasty. Great flavors! The fried rice was obviously fresh. The staff was polite, efficient and patient. We will definitely go back.

This is a very nice Thai restaurant in downtown Phoenix. It was recommended on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. Free parking in the rear of the restaurant. Small dining room with an open kitchen, small bar area. There's a patio dining area that's covered, which is where we ended up. We tried the Dragon Eyes appetizer which comes steamed or crispy - we preferred the crispy, but both were good. We waited a long time after we were done with the appetizer, but out waitress did come out to tell us that the kitchen got slammed and she apologized. We ordered De-Cha Boar, Beef Panang, Fat Noodles, and Pad Thai. All were delicious, but my favorite was probably the Beef Panang. Highly recommend if you love Thai food like me!

The Wild Thaiger may not look like much on the outside-- just an unassuming little place on CENTRAL AVE. a block North of Virginia. But once you open the door, and step into this COZY LITTLE JEWEL, and smell the fragrances of Thailand, and meet Chef Olashaun, you'll want to sample the delights of THAI CUISINE. Nothing here disappoints at all. Been coming here since 2005. This is "a tiny bowl of BANGKOK" to be savored here in PHOENIX! OLA'S Tom Kha Gai is as good as it gets. Ola and husband David are always welcoming to everyone. Their place has also been featured on DINERS, DRIVE-INS, and DIVES!! ENJOY!!

Started with the vegan spring rolls (a special), which were crisp, fresh, and really tasty on their own, but I was really only interested in using them as a conduit for transporting peanut sauce into my mouth. That peanut sauce...best I've had, I think. The Thai boat noodles were great, too, and under $4 for a "small" bowl. Only actually small if you happen to be gigantic. Threw in a bit of the hot peppers on the table, and it was delectable. Could've been a tad hotter, but it was flavorful and rich with about six different modalities of protein. Hello, tripe. The service was slow-ish but not bad. Be warned--if you're there with a large party, they do not split checks onto more than two cards.

So me and my friend went here 7/28 around 3:30 and there was plenty of parking available, the food was delicious, and the service was also quite good. Both the portions, and the presentations were good. The flavor, and the freshness was there, and the drinks!! Let me tell you, their cocktail selection was surprising and superb. The drinks were rich in flavor, presentation and strong(-in a good way), and affordable. We were just overall impressed with this place. Me and my friend decided we may be back. So, if you're looking for a place to have lunch before going back to work, or dinner or even looking for a place to celebrate an event this might be the place you want to try.

Definitely a place to return again and again. We ordered appetizers- Dragon eggs(half steamed/half fried) and fresh rolls(veggie spring rolls w peanut sauce). Super yummy. We also ordered Seafood crab puffs and Tom Kah Gai soup(comes bubbling and flaming) Pad Thai(no pic). Yum yum yum

I've been coming to this place for years but just came back a few weeks back for the first time since COVID. Food is still delicious. As long as the owner/manager is there, can't remember her name, she makes sure everything is on point, especially service and everything coming out of the kitchen. Had the fried mahi curry, volcano wraps, pork satay, fried bananas, and of course sake bombers. Could not find a single thing to complain about. I will always go back to them!!!

Great Thai place on Central. Unique classic feel with locals walking in you can tell its a neighborhood favorite. You want spicy, they will make it spicy. Great date place as well as business gathering. They have an outdoor patio facing Central for that evening metro feel. The chocolate cake was outrageous!

Warmly welcomed (i was by myself) within a minute - got seated right away. Kinda warm color lighting inside (not bright white light). Very comfortable with the A/C level - not too cold, and definitely not warm at all. Gentle music was playing in the background. The kitchen was viewable from the dining room which was pretty awesome to me. Got a Thai Iced tea within 2 minutes of ordering (the waitress was serving other customers their food before my tea, which i whole heartedly appreciate!). Took my order right away. 6 minutes later, they brought me my food! Warm and delicious... Mmmmmm - yummy! 10 minutes later, before i was done with my last two bites, they brought out the desert I ordered initially (i asked it to be brought out after my yellow curry was done eaten - I'm from Ohio, bear with my English). And just before i completed my desert, they brought my check out. They were so attentive - i never was in want for anything. I even heard a conversation with a customer about remembering their kid being in a car seat, and now they're driving on their own. It's got wonderful parking off street and is easy to get to. Loved this place

I used to eat here 15+ or so years ago when I lived in the valley long ago. Well, I've moved back and this is the first time I've been to this place in a long time. Quality and service is still very good. I didn't feel like dining in, so I took out. I ordered the half rack of ribs. It was really good. The meat was perfectly cooked and very tender. They put all of the sauces on the side, which I love for takeout. I already ate part of it, so here's the remaining that's pictured. Great portions, bang for your buck. Glad this place has not gone downhill.

Friendly staff, but VERY underwhelming food. I'm used to a really incredible Thai place back home, so I was expecting something of the same caliber...not at all. If, similarly, you're a Thai food aficionado, I don't recommend trying The Wild Thaiger; find an authentic place in Phoenix. My first red flag was that the menu was unlike any other Thai food menu I've ever seen, but I gave it benefit of the doubt on the chance they had a chef putting their own spin on classic Thai dishes. I ordered the Fat One (noodle dish) for my entree, and it wasn't remotely spicy. Very, very little sauce (as in there wasn't enough to even SLIGHTLY pool at the bottom), zero flavor, and the vegetables weren't fully cooked, so they were more of obstacles in the dish rather than part of it. Two stars because the satay chicken was passable. The dipping sauce for it was pretty good. But it's also what I ended up dousing my noodles in so they would have some flavor. Really disappointing experience. Judging by the wealth of positive reviews this place otherwise has, not sure if I had an uncommon experience or if I just have higher-than-average standards for Thai food...

Chicken Pad Thai was delicious, so was the soup and coconut ice cream are to die for, I loved everything I've tried in this restaurant. Highly recommend visiting, it's a Thai gem 💎✨ I usually don't say anything wrong, but it would be nice if somebody cleaned the reception where people wait to be seated. It's the first thing you see and the dirt there catches attention 🫣 But overall I loved the experience, our waitress was very nice and will definitely be coming back.
