I was looking forward to trying Ike's for the very first time. So I had it for lunch with my coworkers today only to go in to such horrible customer service. Lady at the front was so rude. Rolled her eyes because I asked to have the “dirty sauce” on the side. Again, never been here before so I wanted to make sure I tried it first before putting in my sandwich. Got to work finding no sauce on the side. And my bread covered in Mold. I ate the first half without paying much attention. It was pretty nasty finding mold in my bread. Not sure where this 4.5 rating is coming from but lady in the front needs to calm down and smile some more.

Truly felt like this place was playing a prank on me. Called in an order. 2 sandwiches, nothing else--came to $28 before tax. I wondered if the employee had misspoken. On the drive over I imagined the sandwiches must be huge, incredibly delicious, or both. Ha! Maybe 8 inches long, very thin layers of meat and cheese. The taste was, um, fine, I guess? Nothing exciting or tasty to report. I could live with it at $5. At the price, it's a joke. As a matter of personal taste, I find the name and logo off-putting, so I figured the restaurant's success against those barriers must be a testament to the delicious sandwiches served within. Now I'm just baffled. If you can account for the popularity of this extraordinarily expensive sandwich restaurant with poor-to-middling food, let me know. Also let me know if you know why some sandwiches have 3(!) varieties of cheese on them.

I was trying to apply for a job and got the interview and got the job but when it came to giving me the emails to start work they keep telling me they were going to send it in the morning everyday when I asked and then I wake up to nothing for a week and then they finally sent the email and there’s no option to start the work forms even thoe that’s what the email says it is. I feel like they were playing with me and were not professional at all. We all need a job and when a place is playing with you like this it wastes time and you don’t get anywhere. They hire little kids but when a women with two kids needs the job they play with you I feel so disrespected.

Excited for all the vegan options, but both of our sandwiches were a little underwhelming for the price. Pretty sandwiches and funky place though. They were out of vegan turkey but subbed easily for the vegan chicken. Friendly!

I once loved this place, until they raised the price on every sandwich, (especially vegetarian which is way less expensive), by 2 dollars. Also who the heck would ever put dirty sauce on a Monte Carlo?!

My husband and I came here for sandwiches 2 weeks ago. We ordered 2 sandwiches for us, and a grilled cheese for our daughter. For 3 sandwiches, our total came out to over $50, which is fairly substantial for a couple of sandwiches. No worries on that, the sandwiches looked really good and we were excited to eat them. I asked for lettuce, tomato, pickle, and red onion on my sandwich and my husband asked for avocado and a couple other toppings. When we got home to eat our sandwiches, we were extremely disappointed. None of our sandwiches had ANYTHING on them apart from the deli meat. For over $50, I was definitely upset. I called the store back and asked to speak with a manager and I explained our situation. The manager seemed apologetic and said he would give us a refund, but that never happened. It is now over 2 weeks past this interaction and my husband is now having to file for a charge back with our credit card company as this location did not honor their word. I'm disappointed by our experience here and as it was our first time, we will not be back.

Very disappointed!!!! My fiancé and I wanted to try this place out for the first time today. We walked in around 1pm. There was maybe 3 people in the restaurant. There was no one in line, but the employees acted like we weren’t there and didn’t even acknowledge us. My fiancé said oh you guys are busy huh? The employee just said, “yeah” and turned around. We immediately left. Such horrible service. We will never visit this place again!

I ordered a meatless mike yesterday, and forgot to say “make it vegan.” The guy behind the counter was so nice and he remade me the sandwich to my liking although I was willing to pay for it again. Usually I don’t get such nice people serving me when I ask for plant based because I think it annoys people or something. I felt very comfortable and welcomed here. It was my first time at this location and I’m very grateful. The food tasted great as always

This is the first time I've been here. I loved the unique sandwich selections. Everything was so good! It was pretty cold in there, and there really wasn't anywhere we could sit to get away from the air blasting on us. That was my only complaint, and I would go back for sure, but just take a sweater.

I am usually a big fan of Ike's Love & Sandwiches, but my recent experience at their Camelback location has left a bitter taste. The initial process of ordering online was smooth - I placed an order for five unique sandwiches for a local company, expecting quick, easy, and accurate service. Unfortunately, things didn't pan out as planned. Upon arriving for pickup, I was informed that due to a broken oven, my order couldn't be completed. Despite the disappointment, I appreciated the staff's honesty and their assurance of a refund. The issue started compounding when they were unable to share my specific order details with the 4th Avenue location for me to pick up from, due to concerns about impacting the refund. As a consolation, I was provided three discount coupons, only to discover later that I could only use one at a time but it couldn't be used on the app. Feeling pressed for time, I opted to place a new order online, hoping for a seamless experience at the 4th Avenue location. But the disappointment didn't stop at the Camelback location. Upon my arrival, I was expecting to see five sandwiches with the traditional lollipops to accompany each one, something we've come to expect and enjoy. However, the bag was missing the lollipops. After specifically requesting them, they were reluctantly added to my bag. To make matters worse, when I finally managed to deliver the order, three out of the five sandwiches were incorrect. It was not just a letdown for me, but also for the employees eagerly waiting for their lunch. As a final blow, two days later, I noticed two charges from Ike's. Thankfully, the general manager at Camelback, James, assured me a refund would now be processed. He was apologetic and acknowledged the ongoing issue with their app, a consolation but still doesn't negate the series of inconveniences I experienced. In essence, this was an unfortunately disappointing interaction with Ike's Love & Sandwiches, where even small details like the missing lollipops amplified the overall dissatisfaction. I genuinely hope they take this feedback into account and make necessary improvements in their service. The sandwiches are great, but the experience needs to match.

I ordered through Uber Eats. Not only was the sandwich soggy, they forgot the marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks. The sandwich had decent flavor but overall, not a good experience. Might be better in house.

It was my first time at any Ikes Love and Sandwiches. I got the Joe Namath sandwich on their dutch crunch bread and added cucumbers. The best I can put it is like this - the sandwich has potential but was overly drenched in an Asian sesame dressing that was SOOO sweet my sandwich tasted like a dessert😒❌🚫. There was so much of it, it also made the bread soggy - which means the half I couldn't eat and saved will probably be a pain to revive later (if its not completely demolished already)😩. Had a bite of another sandwich and it was good so maybe Ill have to think about giving it a second chance... maybe. At least the fried zucchini was 💣🤦‍♀️.

This place was just okay. I heard a lot of hype about it so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately I did not have my phone so I could not take pictures. They seem to specialize in chicken sandwiches. I like roast beef so I ordered a roast beef sandwich called the Tony soprano. It was okay, but not the best roast beef flavoring. I had to wait about a half hour to eat it because I took it home. It was a cold sandwich but by the time I ate it the bread was pretty hard. I expected more because of how many people were talking about it. I did love the logo and the layout of the restaurant. If I do try them again I will try to get it on a different type of bread and order chicken, which seems to be the majority of their sandwiches.

Food is always good but one cashier in particular needs to check their attitude. Ordered 2 Da Vinci sandwiches around noon today and was greeted with a sour attitude. Apparently, my partner and I interrupted something important this worker was doing and ordered an inconvenient sandwich but she was super rude for no reason. Medium height, brunette cashier. Really ruined the vibe of the place.

Kind of just mushy for a sandwich. Got the #9 the flavor was okay, but it was just a mushy, saucy mess. No crisp or crunch to the bread, which tasted sweetened and sugary. Not much chicken compared to lettuce and avocado.

  • 3/5 Derrick L. 1 year ago on Google
The sandwiches are pretty good, but the prices are too high in my opinion. Cheba hut is around the corner which I think tastes better and cost less. Jimmy John's is close by too and it's cheaper for around the same taste. If it was cheaper then it would go up to 4 stars

Very tasty sandwiches, great vegetarian selection, and doggie friendly. Really a great place to get a great sandwich. Also yummy sides-onion rings and breaded Zucchini. Would go here again.

I think my main problem with this place is the price point. The sandwiches are twice as expensive as compared to a place like subway. But if you're looking for a gourmet sandwich, this is a really great spot. They also have a huge vegan/vegetarian menu which is very amazing and uncommon. I got the reading rainbow with sundried tomato pesto, avocado, and cheddar cheese and it tasted pretty good.

Had the 'mobile crisis unit #23' was very good. Many choices of sandwiches and can modify as you please. You wouldn't think a certain combination would work unless you try it. Experiment to your hearts content, Highly recommend.

We tried Ike’s today for the first time. Overall, the experience and the food were exceptional. There were a couple of hiccups though, that are worth noting. I had the Barry B., customized within an inch of its life (added avocado, substituted havarti for Swiss, requested it cold). It was AMAZING. Flawless. The Dutch bread is my new favorite food. This might be the best sandwich ever. He ordered the Papa Sam burger but we received the sub instead. Still good but he really wanted to try the Hawaiian bun. We also ordered onion rings and jalapeño poppers. They put both, hot out of the fryer, into sealed plastic containers. They were steamed to complete mush. The flavor of the onion rings seemed great but they weren’t edible. You have to know where to park for pickup if you’re driving (just south around the corner is a loading zone) The app is pretty good except you can’t modify an item once it’s in the cart. I had to delete my stupidly complex sandwich order and start over because I chose the wrong bread. There’s no way I would give this food anything but five stars, if not for steaming the fried items to death!

Superb vegan sandwiches! Instantly became my new favorite spot. The boyfriend got the Jaymee and I ordered the Handsome Owl veganized. We both agreed that we could even eat the bread alone, it was that good! The customer service was spectacular as well. Will recommend to others, thank you!

My wife and I stopped in today for lunch. We were met by a person who asked if we wanted to dine in or order take out. We responded that we wanted to dine in. The employee then informed us that they could not accommodate us because of an abundance of online orders. WHAT?!!! Needless to say we left without lunch. What kind of business turns away good paying customers? Whoever owns this establishment should be ashamed of themselves. Needless to say we will not be back.

I am visiting Phoenix and had to make a stop at Ikes once I saw there were a few locations here. There isn't an Ikes where I live but this was one of my favorite places in Cali. I had the vegan Handsome Owl this time and it was just as delicious as always. Tony welcomed me and I got the same feel as my Ikes back home. I was surprised to read some folks had a disappointing experience here. I don't know what was going on before but give this spot another try. It looks like they've taken your experiences into consideration and are back to their usual chill excellence.

The only place you're gonna get a delicious GLUTEN FREE sub sandwich in Phoenix! Pic is what the gf sub bread looks like! Its soft and made at a local gf shop in scottsdale. Great sandwich experience! I had the Matt Cain and it was a great choice for a meat lover, but they have vegan choices and dozens more to choose from. I like lots of sauce but if you don’t tell them because they don’t skimp on sauce. Their signature bread was crispy and a refreshing twist on the traditional sub bun, but other bread options are available.

The staff at the downtown Tempe location was highly unprofessional, rude, inappropriately dressed, and playing music with profane lyrics. I asked for no cheese and they made my sandwich with cheese. I had to return it and they were rude about having to make it again. Not confident that they take precautions for allergens. I had to ask multiple times to make sure that were using gluten free bread as well. Seems that this location needs new staff

  • 2/5 Daniel C. 4 years ago on Google
The value of this place was borderline from the start. Good sandwiches but a bit on the pricey side. Now they bumped the prices up at least $2 per sub. And there just isn't enough substance to the sandwich to justify it. I'd rather walk a block extra to Jimmy John for a sub with the same amount (or more) of filling, chips, and a drink for $11 vs the $14 for just the sub I'm getting here.
