I’ve been going here for years and it never disappoints for a quick lunch or grab n’ go dinner that is fairly healthy. The salads are always fresh and the chicken in always cooked perfectly. I’m addicted to their tzatziki!

I love Z's Greek! The food is great, I got the Lemon Chicken Soup, Marinated chicken, Falafel Appetizer and Baklava for desert! The soup was nice and warm, the flavor was slightly underseasoned (Maybe it was the last batch) but the chicken was cooked well with lots of white pieces of chicken, and a nice portion of rice as well. The falafel was crunchy and seasoned very well! The sauce the give you is great and really goes with the falafel. The chicken was cooked really well, the seasoning on point, very moist and the bed of rice was great. The salad was good too as a side dish. The pita bread was nice and warm, and they give you a generous portion of it. It's worth the stop by!

Fast, Friendly, Fresh, Fantastic! Really impressed! A lot of food. Watch out though, the prices have jumped by about $2 per item. I got the Greek Salad, ,$10.99 and added chicken $4, so my total pretax and pretip was $15! If you're hungry, it's a lot of chicken. I couldn't eat half the chicken and ate less than half the salad, so I will have plenty for tomorrow! It's a no frills place, but it's worth a trip. Nice outdoor patio and decent amount of parking! Drive through also.

I quite enjoyed my visit to Z's Greek! When I got there I was a bit worried about the price of the items. I ordered a pita club and when I got it, it was massive. I normally don't struggle to eat all of the food I order, but I couldn't finish the sandwich. It tasted pretty dang good too. I also really enjoyed the salad as well. I was very happy with everything I got. I would definitely recommend this place if your looking for some top notch Greek food.

Absolutely delicious food and clean environment. Very simple restaurant with Chicago style American food as well such as burgers & Philly Cheese Steak. I got the Gyro Pita and the portion size was more than enough + it came w/ a side salad, yellow rice, pita bread and lemon roasted red potatoes. Would definitely come back! So flavorful! 5/5

My wife and I used to live in the heart of Phoenix on Indian School Rd, and we would frequently come here for a quiet sit-down meal. We moved about six years ago to a place outside of the city, and I really miss this place. I had an occasion to actually drive into the city earlier today (Wed. 23rd) to take care of some car-related business, and then it hit me - hey, we are at about 16th St and Indian School, why not order something from Z's Greek? So I called them, ordered two lamb souvlaki platters (our favorite) to go, and we just picked them up at the drive-thru, easy peazy, then took them home. Tasted just the same as always. Please don't change your menu - ever. We love you, Z's Greek. PS: You actually get TWO skewers of lamb and peppers. I had already eaten one before it occurred to me to take a pic LOL Same with the pita bread - I'd already eaten that!

Good gyros, excellent fries! Our family enjoyed the food and the people working there were very friendly and working so hard in the heat. Thanks for a good family meal!

Service was awesome and fast! Plates are big they came with a lot of food. We even order some food for nexts day lunch and asked them to put the lettuce apart and they gave us everything separated so we can heat it a prepare it next day. Thank you for that!

First time here was trying out with wife and very good service and clean establishment. We had both Gyron plates with extra pita bread and crazy fries . Portions are large and gyro meat was good. if in town would recommend it for quick bite.

Have been eating at his place since it opened, the best food and atmosphere. Unfortunately their prices have absolutely gone through the roof!!! Such a shame. I am not the only one that feels that way, many of my friends, neighbors who used to frequent the restaurant at least weekly cannot afford to anymore. Such a shame it used to be our favorite neighborhood restaurant, often riding our bikes there on the weekends.

Food was delicious and fresh. We had the gyro and the chicken pita both were very tasty. The fries were nice and crispy. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall great place.

Every single time I get take-out here, it’s amazingly consistent. Delicious gyro platter, very generous portions, the best rice and a great salad that actually tastes fresh. I love this place! Also the lemon chicken soup is fantastic in the colder months. Highly recommend as your go-to take-out dinner spot.

Great little neighborhood joint. Very friendly staff and comfy inside & patio despite being a bit dated / small. Food is absolutely delicious, I get a side of their lemon potatoes whenever I want a small snack that won’t make me feel gross. Good size portions for the price!

Let me start off by saying, the service here is better than you get at most upscale restaurants! Every single person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting at Zs has been friendly, fast, knowledgeable and so helpful it is unbelievable! What's incredible is that the food might be even better! Everything I have tried here has been absolutely delicious! Everybody I have come here with has echoed that! 100/10 would recommend!

Never been here before. I didn’t eat anything all day and was driving down Indian School and decided to enter Z’s to get a quick bite to eat for dinner. The staff member taking my order was extremely helpful and professional. I ordered a gyro pita with no tomatoes. Once I got my gyro pita, there were tomatoes but I didn’t complain just started picking them off. The gentleman working the front saw me do this and said he was sorry for messing up my order and gave me free fries! Excellent customer service and good food!

Food was a bit too much greasy this time, also the rice could be of better quality, hope they work on fixing that.

Update: 12/05/22 Had lunch today ordering the Gyros combo with soup (Ovgolemono). As in the past I’ve ordered the Gyros with no lettuce, and white onions sliced thin. She asked if I wanted extra sauce (she remembered that); and if I wanted cheesecake (as I had that last time. I had chocolate cake before that). Strange then to get my Gyros with RED ONION! I don’t know what to do besides alert others about the service one may receive, share a photo of the onions, and drop the four star review to one star. I just don’t understand this. And despite going out of my way to eat here, maybe I need to search for a new place that serves great Gyros and Ovgolemono soup? Update: 11/28/22 Had lunch, and it was all good. The only part about the Gyros 🥙 that I found odd: I asked for white onion sliced thin, and found both white onion raw and grilled. I finished trying their cheesecake and can say it’s quite good. Now if only they made Galaktoboureko I could say I’ve found a slice of heaven on earth. Maybe a crumbiete? Update: 11/21/22 Had lunch today, and learned that I could have white onion instead of red on my gyros 🥙. The soup was thick with rice; very little broth. The onions were in big chunks. Maybe next time they’ll slice them thinner. It would be an improved taste over the chunks. Good lunch still. Tried the chocolate cake. It’s good. The frosting too thick and rich. Milk chocolate frosting may be better? —— Update: Soup is in season, and I came here on Tuesday 11/01/22. The Ovgolemono soup is good. I’m very pleased that it’s back in season. I’d eat it even during summertime despite the desert heat being in the 100’s. I have to say that I’m not a fan of red onions that are diced. Tomatoes are diced too. I wish they’d use white, yellow, or Vidalia onions sliced long and thin… NOT diced. And the tomatoes should be sliced as well. Not whole slices; sliced in halves. And no lettuce. A proper gyros is simple: meat, onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. This last visit the sauce had too much chunks of what appeared to be red onions(?)… it’s a simple sauce as I recall that has yogurt, sour cream, cucumber, garlic, salt & pepper, herbs, and lemon juice. Too much herbs can ruin it. —— I’ve lived in Phoenix for over a year and a half, and have had difficulty finding a good gyros. By chance I’ve driven by Z’s a few times, and today I had the chance to have lunch. I’m not one for lettuce on my gyros. Just tomatoes, sliced onions, and tzatziki sauce. Had I known that they used red onions I would have asked for easy on the onions. It’s a Scott Conant thing… red onions have a distinct bite that kills the pallet. If they are kind to recommendations, please use yellow or sweet onions. I had their combo with the Greek salad. The dressing was not my expected choice. Oil and balsamic would have been better. The meal was very good. I would have loved more than one kalamata olive 🫒 on the salad. The tzatziki sauce is the best I’ve had compared to other restaurants tzatziki sauces. The meal with a fountain drink was over $15+change. One last thing, since it’s summer they don’t serve soup. I wouldn’t care about the season; I like ovgolemono soup. One can’t beat a good lemon, chicken, and rice soup. I look forward to when they’ll be serving the soup. This restaurant is a great find.

They give you huge portions and they have a drive thru! You may have to wait because they cook everything fresh.

Love this place, one of my faves, little pricey for a lunch combo, but a lot of food for that price, you won't leave hungry.

Blah. We got the marinated chicken platter. That came with fries, rice and salad. Fries tasted old and they were soggy(maybe oil), salad was okay, rice was below average. We also ordered one Large thing of hummus...it had an odd flavor after taste. Nothing stood out and the flavors were just not there. This place is on the pricer side of Greek food and the prices don't match the portions. We love Greek/Mediterranean food but this place was just not it. Won't be back but give it try.
