BAD SERVICE AND HORRIBLE "FOOD"!!! No wonder they charge you when they walk in the door, otherwise you'd turn around with one look at the place!! Had to get my own refills (literally take my cup to the wait station and beg for a refill) and not one plate was picked up or did the waiter stop by to see how everything was, NOT ONCE. I've included their "house rules" which was posted EVERYWHERE along with the price list, which I included their list for drink prices (BTW, the $2.09 Water is TAP WATER, not bottled)

Mixed feelings about this place. It was a favorite back in the day, but ever since the pandemic, it’s missing something. The food is certainly very fresh — you’ll always see one of the staff bringing out freshly prepared trays and keeping the counters clean. But there seems to be far less variety, fewer serving trays than before. General Tso’s chicken has been replaced by corn on the cob and macaroni and cheese. The Mongolian BBQ grill is no longer in service, and their soft-serve ice cream machine has apparently been decommissioned, replaced by 4 tubs of chocolate and chocolate chip. Another “Long Covid” vestige I wish would go away: those styrofoam plates and bowls. Final complaint, apparently they had issues with unscrupulous customers walking out without paying. Now, you pay up front when you enter. That’s totally OK, nothing out of the ordinary about paying before eating at a buffet. What I don’t like is that they don’t immediately run the charge and give you back your card. Rather, they keep the card, show you to your seat, and while you’re away serving yourself, they bring your card and receipt in the tray and leave it on your table for potentially some other unscrupulous customer to walk away with. Anyway, the food is OK, the staff polite and efficient, but this place is just not as good as it was pre-pandemic. Fun Fact: This building was inaugurated back in 1978 as an El Torito Mexican restaurant, no bull!

They have a wide variety of food. The price for an adult( >10) is $15 at the time of this post. They have a age tier <6 and 6-10 that get a price reduction. The most of the food was decent restaurant quality which is a surprise for a buffet style. They had some vegetarian options. The waiter were on top of refills and clearing plates. The wife wants to make this place our after church eatery.

First time I have been to the place since covid hit, the food got better, the service is still good but they don't like to talk to customers much. The main room has good AC but the outer rooms do not. The wonton soup is really good along with noodles

Ambiance is like eating Chinese food inside the Alamo. Enjoy Spanish Colonial style while eating egg foo young. Wow, not sure if Santa Ana or Mao's forces will attack but I'm going to eat the beef broccoli FAST. Yes, the carpet is gross. Whatever. The sushi probably has no real fish in it so there's that and many items on the buffet will induce cardiac arrest if you at them daily for five days. But, a few item are pretty good; octopus salad followed by delicious chocolate pudding! Maybe it's a trend in Paris or Milan, who knows. Enjoy!

First time here and will definitely be going back. The selection was fantastic as well and the quality of food. Reasonably priced as well. We have 3 teenager's and they loved it too! The service we received was amazing. Our server was Jaiden, he was phenomenal to say the least. Such great work ethic for such a young man. His parents should be very proud of him!

Literal hot garbage; would give 0 stars if possible. This was a Las Vegas roll. It smells like mildew, I would recommend a hard pass. Also I'm 87% positive that this is uncle Ben's minute rice. Whatever it is not fried rice.

Loved it, haven't been here since 2018 yeah it's 2024 people Happy New Year's. My experience was exceptional the food first of all was super hot and fresh , the rice, chicken, beef , sushi, noodles, fruit snacks egg rolls sweet and sour sauce, the white rice was fluffy and not dry too . I am so looking forward to my next visit FYI I went at like 9pm Friday night and the beer was flat. #ForgetAboutIt 🫶

Foods are ok. Sushi rolls are great but not many choices. The place is running down. Looks kinda desperate. Needs renovation.

I ordered take out from here and it was very unacceptable, the beef and broccoli was very very watery (like a soup), the fried rice was not fried rice look at the pictures. Also, the sushi was unacceptable as well, the seaweed was bad like almost slimy. I will never order from here ever and I DO NOT recommend it to anyone!

Warning: You are going to get what you paid for. Disappointingly small selection (esp. sushi), and they managed to make freshly prepared food (kitchen staff bring them out fairly frequently in a big batch) taste stale. Oh and if you go there alone, bunch of flies will keep you company while you dine. If the business plan on staying open and surviving, they need to at least deep-clean the building, especially the dining area. I suggest that you should go elsewhere and spend little but more for food with significantly better quality.

This place used to be pretty good, but not so much now. They had a wider variety of food and for a buffet it was well prepared and included quite a few very Chinese dishes. Now it's really pretty bog standard food and their prices went up a fair bit. Not only that but they're using paper plates, not even stout ones, but kind of flimsy. Mind you, the food isn't terrible necessarily, it's just not all that good, as well as being more expensive.

I haven't been to a buffet since we'll before the pandemic. I am always cautious about them also, as you pay a lot per person and the choices can be somewhat limited. I think we paid 14.99 per person here. The choices were plentiful and fresh. I didn't see much in the way of dishes that hadn't been resupplied or were obviously not fresh. I tried all the fried dishes - I liked the jumbo shrimp, orange chicken, fried chicken, spare ribs (or short not sure) - the sushi was good but some were bland in my opinion. I tried the steamed dumplings and those weren't my favorite. The deserts I tried were all good - the fried donuts were just too good - I mean, c'mon right? My daughter had lomein noodles, orange chicken, mostly same things I had, and she liked everything too. Overall it was a very nice dinner with my daughter - the employees are very nice, certainly attentive (used dishes were removed from our table, water glasses replenished, dishes on the buffet were kept fresh. I would go again - yummy stuff!

We went here for Dinner, had not been here since before COVID started. I have to say I won't be going back aside from the service being bad, and Yes it's a buffet but it's not like you can get up and go get your own drinks or extra napkin if you need them, the food was the worse I have ever eaten there. Some of the meats smelled, awful taste, spring rolls, sushi, well you get the idea. For the amount of money you pay per person it wasn't worth my Money (18.96) or time. I'm sure restaurants suffer but damn the quality of service and food should never change, if they can't make it with limited staff and cutting corners they shouldn't be open. Go at your own risk. But for me it's sucked.. Won't be going back. If your looking for sushi definitely not the place anymore go across the street. 🤢

I hadn’t been here in almost 2 years, even though it is close to my house, because of the pandemic. The food was terrible. It must have been sitting in the hot trays for several hours. The egg roll was petrified. The beef in the beef and broccoli was terrible. The won ton soup container had no won tons. I hope they improve, because I used to really enjoy this place. $16.57 for the buffet and a Coke!

Everyone was soooo friendly. I really loved the service and the atmosphere. But the food was warm at best. Not hot. The cold items didn't feel cold. The sushi that had avocado had super brown avocado. It was gross. The food was good, just bothered me that it was barely even warm. I was scared to eat because I didn't want to get sick from food not being kept up to temp

Extremely pricey for what you don't get. Also the food quality is very poor. The hot and sour soup was neither, the egg drop soup barely tolerable, and the sushi was just a sad state of affairs. My 13 year old daughter (who eats everything) took a few bites of her beef broccoli and declared that we had been ripped off and wanted nothing more to do with the place, she repeatedly said she had not done anything bad enough to deserve having to eat there and wanted to go home. She also had a grand time commenting on how cheap the tiny, and almost cute, the mini nigiri were. We should have gone further afield to Wok n Roll or that Grand Buffet place down south. We'd have spent less money and come away fed, without the need to hit Jack in the Box on the way home. There was a bright spot however, their banana pudding wasn't too bad. Heed my warning save your money, save your belly, and save yourselves: avoid New China Buffet at all costs ......

Not the worst buffet I've ever been to but not one I'll be coming back to either. The food wasn't disgusting but much of it was bland, not seasoned well. Almost nothing was labeled for you to know what it was and with the flavor lacking I'm still not sure what some of what I ate was even supposed to be. For the price I paid it was very underwhelming. Even if I had been someplace cheaper like Panda Express I would have been disappointed with the quality of the food. On the somewhat brighter side, the service was decent and the dining room was reasonably clean.

My family and I go here to eat (8+ people) and it’s our favorite buffet to go to because the food is amazing! The egg drop so is the best and I have at least 5 bowls every time I go. The atmosphere is nice and the people who work there take good care of you.

Disappointed at this place. So much potential to be a good buffet but it falls short. 1: The price. I understand inflation and supply chains issues and being short staffed makes business difficult, but for the price they charge, the food and service should be at least decent. It wasn’t. 2: The fried rice and lo Mein were strictly vegetarian. No meat options for those. Perfect if you’re vegan/vegetarian, but if you’re looking for regular chow Mein/fried rice, this place doesn’t have it. Maybe on their regular restaurant menu, but not in their buffet. 3: Not a good selection. Pretty self explanatory. 4: They do not refill the food stations. I was noticing empty stations. Not good for when it gets busy. 5: No waitress/waiter to collect plates/refill drinks. I only saw one for the 1 hour I was there. I gave this place a shot thinking it was good because of the majority of good reviews and good pictures. It fell short of my expectations and I was disappointed. I won’t be returning. The price is not worth it.

Great buffet. Some of the best sushi and shrimp I had. The desserts are fine, but the jello is a bit hard for some reason. But, the food is great, I always get the udon noodles, the rice noodles, breaded shrimp, and sushi. They have 2 tv's which play kid shows, sport, and news. The service is okay though, they rarely come to take plates, and never ask how the food is. They always seem to be in a rush. Great place would recommend

I'm not sure what happened over the years, but their food never tasted so terrible before. They will help you get what you need, which is great, but their food is not as appetizing as before. Their white rice tastes just like minute rice, the fried rice was bland, the orange chicken was more like orange than chicken, and their chicken wings tasted funny to me. It sucks because they used to be good, but sadly, my taste buds prefer other options.

A good average Chinese buffet which serves what I call "grade B" Chinese food. It's not a glitzy shiny place like Lin's - this one is a bit worn around the edges and the food stations are in a dark cramped area. But, the food is good (enough choices to keep things interesting) and the servers are attentive. I think I was there maybe 45 minutes and they stopped to refill my drink four times! Yeah, prices have gone up - but food prices are up everywhere, so I'll cut them some slack in that regard. An entirely OK place and one which I'll go back to.

Most of the fried food in trays under a sneeze shield is a little dry. Soups fine, deserts are fine also. The place is quiet. There's two tvs and you can see sports or kids shows.

Food was disappointing. My boss and I went for lunch right as they opened yet the food was already stale. Sushi was bland and not cold enough to really feel safe. Waiter was in a rush to do everything like they didn't want to spend 1 second longer at the table than necessary. Place is huge and empty. Not surprising based on the food and staff.

  • 3/5 Nikki E. 9 months ago on Google
Food was cold as soon as it was on your plate but did taste good. Ice cream was already melting as soon as you put it in bowl or cone. Fruit was really good tho.

There is literally something for everyone in the family to enjoy. It's a buffet so if you're looking for fancy silverware or a show put on by the chef, this is not your place. If you're looking for good food, a variety of food and a decent price, then this is your place.

  • 4/5 goose10091203 10 months ago on Google
Good food if you get it fresh. Some of it sits out for a bit longer and you can tell. Overall the food is good for a buffet. I marked down service cause there was none after they seat you. Not even a soda refill.

UNFORTUNATELY I WONT BE COMING WITH MY FAMILY AFTER WE COULDNT EVEN SWALLOW THE FOOD. ITS DISGUSTING AND OVER PRICED. UNDER COOKED FOOD . DONT COME IF YOU WANT TO HAVE FOOD POISINING!!!

  • 1/5 Kevin G. 11 months ago on Google
The food is not very good. It tastes like it's been sitting out under a lamp since yesterday. On two occasions, in the same visit, I asked a kitchen worker for chop sticks. As I was asking her, she pulled food out of her apron and ate it in front of me. The second time I went to the buffet another kitchen worker went to the dessert counter and filled his hand up (not a plate) with watermelon and casually walked back to the kitchen. How has the health department NOT shut this place down yet??? You want Chinese food? Go to Panda Express. It's better than this dump

  • 2/5 Angelica G. 1 year ago on Google
They are but far the rudest buffet I've ever been too. They were constantly on top of me when I was getting my food asking me if I was done. They charged me $12 for 1 pound 11 ounces of food. When it said 7.99 a pound. And when I told them I wouldn't pay that they kept my $20 . It was all I had left. So I just left without eating and I lost my last $20. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Uncompassionate money hungry place.
