If you're local to Phoenix (and even if you're not) this should be on your list of places to visit in the city! This wonderfully preserved home is so fun to tour. The house looks small from the outside but is huge on the inside with period detail furniture, gorgeous woodwork throughout and soaring ceilings. We had the best tour guide and had such a good time. Def worth the cost and worth it for picture value alone. Also, centrally located with a parking garage right next door and walking distance restaurants.

The house, tour, and surrounding area were so amazing and enjoyable. We got our tickets at the building next door and enjoyed the gift shop and history wall while waiting for the tour to start. The tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. The house itself is so detailed and fancy and historically accurate (except for the AC but I welcomed that!) Well worth the $12.

I really enjoy visiting the Heritage Square in Phoenix. The museum is a very cool place to visit and its a great place to take pictures. There is a Science center there and there are venues. I really enjoyed myself and look forward to going back.

Great square. When the weather is nice and they have activities going around. It is beautiful in the area. The Little House stands alone with all the action around it.

I am a Phoenix history buff, so I LOVE historic tours. The tours start at 10am, the ticket office open at 9:50am. Expect to take 45 minutes or so to get the full tour. Check Groupon for discounted tickets. Our tour docent Stan was VERY knowledgeable and shared a wealth of information with us. He even shared bits and pieces that even my dad (a born and raised Phoenician) didn't know. I don't want to give away too much of the tour. But if you're interested in learning more about our great city, and take a trip back in time, schedule the tour!

Really Interesting vintage house in Heritage Square. To visit, you must go on a tour (about 45 minutes) but well worth it. You can book in advance at their website or on site.

More than your average docent tour! I've done these in many places but never felt like it was an experience initself, usually just a pleasant stroll with general anecdotes. The amazing lady (forgot her name) who did my tour has a real passion, broad historical knowledge, & a very human touch. Whether you care about history or not, this is genuinely both fun & interesting. One of the only local experiences that will leave you feeling happy & satisfied with how you spent your time!

Jessica, our tour guide this evening did an outstanding job, feeding us lots of information about the area. We were looking forward to touring the house at Night but that is only in the day time. ( wish the website said something about this) so of ur looking for a late night walk in hopes to tour the house you will have to do a daytime tour. Not as fun as a night time tour.

Such a great time learning about the city history, and the house that preserved in such good condition restoring it and bringing great value to the city history. Also the staff is really friendly most of them are volunteers so they know a lot about the house

When I went there the tour guide was very informative, there were also free souvenirs there. It is a good trip if you'd want to learn the history of Wells Fargo.

Excellent example of the Victorian style home of the late 1800’s. Although not much if any of the original furnishings remained during the time it was used as a boarding house, the restorers used period pieces to complement each room. A must see for lovers of historical architecture!

Everytime I go for a walk downtown I make sure to visit this area. Glimpse of Phoenix history groomed and well maintained creates a snapshot of our past. The covered gazebo area complete with parking and variety of planted greenery is my favorite area. Historic buildings being used as mini museums or small businesses is a wonderful touch. Plenty of green grass with a science center across the way creates an interesting contrast to this historic site. I recommend everyone take a stroll to enjoy Phoenixpast.

I've always absolutely loved this magical place. You walk through and it's like you forgot you were in a city. They have festivals and events all the time. You could make plans to stay all day in that area. Great place to visit!

I enjoyed the tour of the Rosson house. It is staged well to look the century in which it was built. The tour guide was knowledgeable. The price is somewhat hard to swallow but not outrageous. The heritage square is so well done and beautiful to visit. It's worth a stop and visit pizzaria Bianco around the corner!

I took the tour a week ago. It was great. The house is lovely and will-restored. Lots of historical facts were brought alive by the beautiful house and the terrific tour guide. restoration details and facts. I was very happy that all tour members were required to wear masks. Although I was very unhappy that, clearly, masks were not required to be worn properly. With extremely limited space and rude mask behavior, I should have left. I didn’t. I should have. MASKS SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO BE WORN CORRECTLY during the entire tour.

This was my first visit to the museum. They have amazing artifacts and lots of information about the history of the Wells Fargo Company. The real stagecoach at the front is a great way to see what they looked like. They do have some interactive areas which adults would like. There is an Art Gallery to the back of the building displaying some very beautiful pieces. The only disappointing part was that I couldn't take photos of the historic area. The employee was absolutely wonderful so I definitely will be back! I did take about an hour and a half to go through it!

Very cool western memorabilia on display. This is a great place to bring young and old alike. There are interactive displays. You can even try your hand at sitting in a stagecoach and grabbing the reins. I’m going back again when family comes for a visit.

I was looking to kill some time when I was exploring downtown phx and I came upon this museum. While it is small, there are so many different unique things to see in this museum, especially the real wagon from back in the pony express days. The guy who worked there was really well informed about everything, and he gave me a great understanding of Wells Fargo's history, as well as history of the Pony Express and Gold Rush.

  • 4/5 Robert W. 3 years ago on Google

Very nice small history museum. It's free. Top-notch displays. Several fun, interactive exhibits for kids. A small but classy art display. Well worth a visit. 30 minutes will usually do. Pro tip: Parking can be tough. Try to park at the near-by Phoenix Police Museum. There are several free spaces there. See the Police Museum (20 minutes), then walk over and see the Wells Fargo Museum

This was free! There were all kinds of exhibits to make the era come alive. Fairly interactive. The photo opportunities were a highlight. They even emailed a photo. The guy at the desk was up beat and fun. This would be a cool place to take kids. Metered parking was a bit tight and short term. We saw it before the meter expired so was fine.

The Rosson House brings back memories of field trips from both my childhood and my kids trips too! This time we went during their Oddities and Curiosities Tour in time for Halloween. Beautiful home with tons of history surrounding it. Take the tour, see the amazing advances of technology that have come and dont complain about your cell phone not working after you see how humble even the wealthiest used to live. We toured with a small group and the sisters from out of state on vacation even loved the opportunity to look at Phoenix History.
