Definitely has quickly become my favorite place to go for coffee, a meal, and fresh roasted coffee beans to take home. The atmosphere is great for both hanging out with friends and studying, but definitely not stuffy. They do serve wine in the evening as well. Seating seems limited for the popularity, but when I compare it to other coffee shops, there’s actually more seating here than the majority of shops in town. Fact is, it’s just a popular place. So, you might have to wait for a seat at peak times. TRIVIA: The original plan for this location was to be only the roasters, but the owner thought it might be good to go ahead and add the cafe. Good call, Mr. Kraus!

I went to Press and picked up some beans because my local shop (Grinders) was having supply chain issues and were out of beans. Well the beans from Press were sadly just terrible; super dry and the coffee was bitter! They promote they roast on site and maybe they just don't rotate stock enough? Or? Not sure what the issue is but I wouldn't buy their beans again! The beans were super dry! If you are from the area I'd drive to Grinders at Dunlap and Central to get fresh roasted high quality beans. Grinders beans are fantastic with great flavor and now back in stock! You can see the difference in beans in the pic, left Press right Grinders. Press coffee house is amazing place though and was packed with customers! Lots of people both inside and out enjoying their coffees. I didn't try any of their drinks and perhaps they are lots better than the coffee beans!

Beautiful new facility. So cool to see the roasters out in the open. Great coffee, good vibes, excellent smells. Wish parking was better, but that’s not really their fault. Definitely worth a visit. It’s might just be the coolest coffee shop in town.

Review Update: Consistently great coffee 👊🏼. They no longer have beer and cocktails. Good space to study and do small hangouts. It is great tasting coffee. Great spot for a variety of purposes from studying to small hangouts - with even a happy hour option with beers on tap and cocktails. BUT Not super pleased with customer service though - skipped SB to support local but second thought it might have been a better experience 😬

Really pretty inside! But service is consistently slow and unenthused--the kind of service with a forced smile. I've had excellent service at other Press locations.

Great coffee and good service. Was visiting from out of town and 2 people recommended this spot. I got a quad cappuccino once and a red eye pour over the other time. Both great. Also got the breakfast sandwiches. I recommend asking for cheddar instead of American on the sandwiches. Nice outdoor seating area, very ample indoor seating area. Also got some coffee for home ... great stuff.

Met my Friend for lunch instead of breakfast this time. We shared a Turkey sandwich and a peanut butter cookie. We also each had a Greyhound. Everything was delicious as ever. And to make it even better, we helped Phoenix Children's Hospital. Thanks and see you again soon❣

...Press coffee has new biz plan ...take advantage of Covid 19 Pandemic situation... Price for cold brew coffee $4.34 but we don't give out change she says. I said oh you are rounding. She said yes. I said: OK here is my $4. Her: we need 5. Me: Then why didn't you ask for 5? Lets round to nearest dollar which is $4. Her: silent Me: only round up? Her: yes Me: ? ?last time i come here. ...how much for a straw?

Great coffee, and a fun vibe. Love the atmosphere and the staff is friendly and competent. That said, this review is not about the coffee. While I was there yesterday buying beans, there were 3 employees visible behind the coffee bar, only 1 was wearing a mask. They were all wearing gloves. Medical professionals wear gloves to prevent the spread of germs, viruses and bacteria. However, they CHANGE them each time they come in contact with a new patient. Your barristas never changed their gloves. The person operating the cash register was also making drinks. You would be safer having your employees wash their hands more often. I also noticed the majority of customers were also not wearing masks. This is there prerogative of course, but I think you have a duty to protect your staff and your patrons and require that your staff wear masks while working. Kudos to the one gentlemen yesterday morning wearing a mask.

Coffee was ok, that's not why the low star. First customer service maybe more smiling to greet customers and the second most important thing the whole time we were there the bacon smell was atrocious it's everywhere in the entry store even in the restroom. This a coffee place where they actually have coffee roasters and the smell at least should be coffee you would think especially in the morning, we were there at 8:15am for few hours. They need better ventilation system. So moved to the second floor and still the smell was even worse. Needs a better exhaust system as installed in other places.

Discriminate against people with ADA disabilities. Some people can't wear masks. The employees refuse to accommodate due to personal fear. Sadly it causes customer harm.

Good coffee and tea! I got an iced chai latte and an iced americano which were both very delicious. I had prompt and kind service by the staff here as well. They have their own roasteries on site which was a plus and very cool to see in person.

Nice building says PRESS in large letters and after driving by a few times, I stopped in. Great atmosphere with high ceilings and the smell of coffee beans roasting. They serve beer! wine too & stay open until 7. Friendly counter staff and a delicious latte. Good balcony with an open feeling and an Espresso bar.

Cortado was smooth and very tasty. The space is big, lots of seating, including some chairs outside. I had the original breakfast burrito which was just ok. Otherwise, this is a great spot to caffeinate and/or meet up with friends post morning hike.

We enjoy this local coffee shop for its high end coffee, assortment of treats, and walking distance from our home. They are open for take out during COVID. However, while they do wear gloves we didn’t see them change them. The employees don’t wear masks, despite customers and employees being within social distances. The 1st floor has tables and chairs out as an invitation to sit. There were so many customers (without masks) and no system to keep them a safe distance from each other. Our safety is more important than our coffee, so while we love this local coffee shop we won’t be visiting again until we see this pandemic taken more seriously.

First time at press coffee. I got a iced latte with half sugar(half pump) of caramel and vanilla. It was okay but wanted a little sweeter and asked for a pump more of vanilla. Idly they put 1 pump I believe. So I think I had 1 1/2 pumps of vanilla and u can definitely taste the vanilla. Next time I would just get it as it comes or try a mocha. Heard that’s popular. I think this is the most luxurious place on the block. Parking not as much but fair. The doors are huge like windows, which is cool. I also got the turkey wrap. It was good and a bit spicy because of the sirracha. My friend got the peanut butter shake. It had a weird taste like a protein flavor. She asked for mocha and they added it to her drink and it tasted better. It’s not really a shake cause it’s not blended. There’s also a bar here. There’s also an upstairs. There’s a patio outside.

One star!!! Horrible Service!!! You deserve no stars this visit!!! I went to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends at Press. When I arrived the front door was locked. I checked the back door and that door was also locked. The back door had hours posted stating they close at 7PM. It was 3:45PM and I could see customers inside enjoying their coffee so I knocked on the front window and front door. I figured with COVID restrictions they were limiting customers in the store. A server who was mopping the floor answered the door and yelling out the door yelled we are closed. Asked server what their hours were and he said the close at 4PM. Explained it is 3:45 and hours on side door state the close at 7PM. Suggested they post their new hours as others are likely going to want to be served thinking they are opened. Server stated whatever maybe we should and slammed the door shut. I wrote to management and no response. Best of luck in the future but your server needs to go or at least get basic customer service training. Other great coffee places nearby so I guess I will be visiting them soon... Again consider posting your new hours and don't close early, 3:45PM is not 4PM...

Excellent interiors, spacious location, friendly staff, good coffee roast (i bought a bag) what could have been an excellent pour of cortado was affected by adding too much milk due to size of regular to-go coffee cup... need to size ur drinks per original spec consistently

Great local coffee shop. Plenty of room, everyone very friendly and helpful. Big open vats of coffee beans getting roasted in the back of the shop which you can watch on the stairs as you go upstairs to more seating. Aroma is amazing. Outdoor seating as well.

I absolutely love the aesthetic of this location and really enjoy having a roastery so close to home... But, it just isn't convenient or welcoming whatsoever. Every time I've been in, I can't help but realize it takes no less that fifteen minutes to recieve a single latte. On top of the usual long wait times, the employees are without an approachable disposition, and seem eager to see you leave. I prefer the Biltmore location, as they nail it no matter what!

I am a regular fan of PRESS and was excited to support these guys today. However, I was very disheartened to see a lack of social distancing measures communicated and in place. I would feel much more comfortable purchasing my coffee here regularly if when I walked in, I saw clear standards laid out as to how customers and employees are expected to behave to keep everyone safe (ALL employees wearing masks, markings on the floor and common areas to keep people distanced, and minimized seating capacity). I hope management will take head of the customers voicing their concerns. We want to support your efforts to provide yummy coffee to everyone, but also want to feel safe while doing so.

I love the atmosphere of the place. For it being my first time there today I have to say that I highly recommend this fine establishment. For anyone who's looking for recommendations on drinks I recommended the Hot Chai Latte.

It smells so great in here, yet we didn't get any coffee this recent trip! A couple Wren House Beers caught our eye. Which paired well with a couple desserts. The ambiance is great - lots of outdoor seating, great service, and the amazing aroma of coffee.

Best coffee I have had so far... I gave it 4 star because it's a little bit pricey (2 8oz lattes $10) and because it does not have a drive through. I will definitely come back.

It's a place where you can relax to clear up your mind from your problems to your home or other things that bother your mind. I usually go to a coffeeshop to study because it is a good place to be alone where no one can distract you. And the best for it because their staff really gives you space. And sometimes they give you free cakes for you to study well which is I find it sweet thank you

If you're looking for great coffee, stop by Press Coffee on 32nd Street. The staff is very welcoming and kind, the food is great, and oh don't even get me started on the coffee! The espresso drinks are to-die-for and the cold brew is wicked. Whether it's early in the morning or a mid-day-pick-me-up, Press Coffee is the place to go! Wonderful staff located throughout the Valley. Everyone there is friendly extremely knowledgeable and fully understand what coffee is. Please know that press coffee serves real coffee (not coffee flavoured beverages). I highly recommend Jimmy and Jack from the Biltmore office. They are great at pour overs but please note that all press members have been trained at this location. Def top 3 in AZ. Thank you press for letting people from AZ try what real coffee taste like.

JUST WATCHED Barista take the 12 oz coffee they made and move it to the 16oz cup and just add a bit more milk to make it closer to 16oz. Cup not full, but I do expect when I go down to get a refill they won’t give me an issue, since I didn’t make a huge complaint in front of the 5 other people standing and waiting. Don’t bother getting 16oz, you still get 12.

My brother in law and I went to get a quick cup and happened upon this place. We arrived at 4:54 (not knowing they closed at 5) and ordered 2 pour overs and an espresso shot. The staff treated us really well, we ordered time intensive orders right before close (sorry y'all) and discussed some of the profiles in the drinks we ordered. Next time I'm in PHX, I'll be stopping here again.

  • 5/5 Katrina B. 1 year ago on Google
First time here and we were impressed. I got the oat milk honey cinnamon shaker, my daughter got chocolate milk. Both were delicious. We got breakfast which wasn't bad for a coffee shop and everything was reasonably priced. Customer service was great. We loved the vibe.

  • 4/5 Rachel T. 1 year ago on Google
Randomly stopped in after an "away game" at a nearby school. The menu is easy to read and clear. Ordering is simple inside at the counter, or they have an app to make it even faster. We ordered at the counter & they prepared our drinks and gave them to us, and we sat to wait for our names to be called. The kitchen was busy and there were a few delays and snafus with one of our hot food orders. Michael, the manager on duty (on his day off!) saved the ENTIRE experience for us! He was sincere in his apology, earnest in his efforts to correct the problem, and very sweetly generous with some treats for the table while we waited for our order. When we're back in the area, we will look to stop in again. The chocolate milk is rich and creamy. The bagels are chewy and pillowy with that perfect light crunch on the outside. You can tell they use quality & fresh ingredients in their menu items, and they have superior service!!

I am a coffee freak and one of my fav hobbies is to go around the globe searching for the perfect coffee shop. Since the first time I tried the Espresso Honey Cinnamon Shaker I haven’t stopped thinking about it, it’s the perfect combination of light, sweet, coffee, and cinnamon. I really like the concept of this brand, and it’s a nice place to hang if you have some work or just meeting your friends, but be ready for a large crowd, so bring your headphones and you’ll be good to go! The food is ok for a quick bite but don’t expect too much, we got the original burrito and it was a little bit cold, the breakfast sandwich was surprisingly good. All prices are fair for what you get. I’ll definitely be coming back for coffee and Shakers.

  • 5/5 Arianna M. 1 year ago on Google
Press is my favorite coffee place to take friends to in the valley. The beans are pretty pricey but very unique flavors. My go-to drink is the chai cold brew shaker, or the pumpkin shaker in season. The breakfast sandwich is also very good!

Press was amazing! Quaint coffee shop that roasts their own beans. We really enjoyed this place. The architecture was done very well. Big open windows to let the sunshine in. The coffee was great. The atmosphere was exceptional. The service was good! We will definitely come back here when we are in the Phoenix area.

I just like coffee and there are a lot of places serving good coffee. But Press has a well designed layout, easy to follow menu, even the bathroom isn't an after thought. Roasting and grinding on site can't be beat. Even though you will drive by dozens of dairy vendors (Starbucks) to getting one of the Press locations it is head and shilders above any corporate coffee.

This place is the best! They have lots of seating and plugs so it’s a great place to sit down and get some work done. The staff are really friendly too, make an effort to know your name if you come here a few times. I would strongly recommend the cold brew 😎

Beautiful location, everyone is very nice. Love coming here several times per week. The drinks and food are stellar. My only knock is that this is now the second time in under 2 weeks where I’ve gotten their original burrito and it’s come without any bacon - zero (which should be included, per their menu). If they run out, I wish they would tell us instead of just letting me order and making it without, and if they’re forgetting, they need to fix their process.

First time at Press Coffee! 👍 I think you are better than Starbucks. You seem popular. I will need to return. My son introduced me to you. Great coffee!

We love going to Press coffee to meet with clients and to work together with my team. Its a beautiful place to sit and the ambiance is on point. Love the natural light that comes in and of course the service is exceptional, and the coffee even better.

Ordered Matcha tea latte, Chai tea latter, Original Burrito and Caprese Avocado Toast. They were decent but the avocado toast was bland. Would go back for the coffee tho.

Three probat roasters going, good time. Man made an excellent Japanese iced coffee upon request.

Great coffee. Don’t like that all of their Americano sizes have the same amount of espresso and just more water per size. I feel like it’s misleading. And they only brew double shots. So if you want more coffee, you have to pay more for the extra water and then also for the shots.
