I love this park. 28 years ago I married my wife Terry here. Terry passed away ten days ago and I come here for comfort. There is a small hill midway along the north side of the park. Stand there where we took our vows and slowly turn all the way around to drink in the beautiful mountains both near and far. The breeze was so refreshing today. Peace.

Several trail options for hiking. Very nice little park with facilities. A bit nostalgic for me, I lived in the area in early 1980's when it was all desert.

Trail 150 is short with a gradual elevation to 800-1000ft. You can also work your may around 308 for less elevation. As you get closer to the peak, certain angles require you to climb. Overall a nice short hike.

Need to Zen? Meditate? Pray? Here's your spot. It's big, open, clean and appears very safe. The mountains are close and the views are big and inviting. Surrounded by mostly luxury homes this large and beautifully maintained Phoenix park is easy to get to and truly relaxing. In the early mornings there are countless dog walking people, joggers and coffee drinking solitude seeking folks. The trails are at the parks foot if you want to hike a great big mountain that trails around it providing a 360 degree Phoenix view. This might become your favorite place.

Really nice park with a great mountain with walking trails, a playground for the kids and picnic tables. A great place to relax, play, picnic and have fun!

Looks like a nice playground and trails. I went to get a view of the full moon. Not many cacti up here as I wanted to take pics, but there were still a few. This park is nestled in the middle of a nice neighborhood.

Went on a weekday morning in mid-May at sunrise. Only a couple dozen people in mountain preserve. Ran around the perimeter trail. Not marked too well, but pretty much all paths get you around the mountain. Then went up the summit trail. Was the only one atop mountain - a treat for Phoenix mountains. Not as tall, but a good alternative to Camelback or Piestewa.

It is a pretty scenic road with a great view once you get up to the top. However once you get up top it is very crowded and hard to get a parking spot. I do love being there at Sunset, very pretty.

If you're thinking about visiting this park, stop thinking and go. Wake someone special up with you and go early in the morning to watch the sunrise you will not be disappointed. Directions: This Hidden Gem is located on the southeast end of Lookout Mountain If you're going to this park from Cave Creek Road turn when you get to Hearn Rd. Going westbound now on Hearn Rd. you'll come to 20th Place take a left onto 20th Place you should be heading south bound until N 18th Street turn right and go west again until you see the Park on your right you cannot miss it. Amenities: This park obviously sits at the bottom of Lookout Mountain so much like its neighbor to the North Buffalo Ridge Park, LMp offers quite a bit of light hiking. Along with the Hiking there is a lot of parking, clean and well-kept restrooms, tons of park benches for parties and two different modern playgrounds for the kids. Throw in Volley Ball Pits with nets for the adults, and two tennis courts to add a touch of class and all you need is a Mountain and you have a perfect park.

Beautiful park in a very nice neighborhood. There's parking and a path that goes up the little mountain. It's not too steep, and easy to walk through. 100% would reccomend to anyone. It truly has beautiful views.

Great little half mile hike. Second half is steeper than the first half. I made to the top in 10 minutes from the parking lot going my fastest. Beautiful 360 view from the top, also plenty of trails circumnavigating the mountain if you’re not into the elevation.

Love the mountain but the recent caution tape on the pullup bar is ridiculous. People are smart enough to either wear gloves, sanitize their hands after or wipe the bar down.

Great trail, sort of tough. They had to send 11 people in a drone up to find someone who apparently got hurt. But a nice trail system overall, very clean bathrooms.

Great hiking spot in north Phoenix. Did the summit trail once and the circumference trail another time. Highly recommend the summit trail if you're in the area

This is a great park. I go here to play tennis regularly. The courts are clean and have no cracks. The park has restrooms and fun things for kids to play on. Great for walking your dog or just enjoying a day at the park. It has a trail head that leads up to Lookout Mountain itself right from the parking lot. Love this place - recommended to everyone!

Love this little park. It has tons of pokestops and a handful of gyms not to mention two play areas for the kids two tennis courts and large grassy area on either side of the play areas. Great for family get togethers or birthday parties since there are several picnic tables throughout the park.

This park is a hidden gem. It's tucked in the neighborhood and it's a pretty quiet park. I took my kids 8 and 10 and we walked the whole workout course they have. There are two playgrounds. One for bigs and one for littles. Plenty of swings lots of grass to run around and burn off that extra energy. They do have a water fountain and bathrooms. Next time we will hike the mountain. I also love that the play equipment is covered.

  • 2/5 Salvador M. 4 months ago on Google
Small, dry, and dirty, Lookout Mountain Park isn't much of a park, as parks go. Still, it's popular because there isn't much else around from a park standpoint. The volleyball courts are new with ample lighting and a bunch of imported sand to feel more beach-like. The bathrooms aren't filthy, but nobody could call them "clean." There is some playground equipment, but overall, it is an ugly little dry park whose most notable feature is its proximity to Lookout Mountain.

This park has a great view of the North valley and of downtown. I can't wait to catch a sunset here!

  • 5/5 Juliette G. 8 months ago on Google
I loved how big the park is, that it's attached to a mountain to hike, but that there is various opportunities to work out. Not only does it have a volleyball and tennis court but it has instructional stops for walks to stretch or strength train. It also has creative areas or spots for kids too, but I barely engaged with those. Thank you!

Love this park so much the kids have fun,it is always clean, it's beautiful and in a nice neighborhood. BE CAREFUL Especially AFTER or close to SUNDOWN **COYOTE PACKS ** run the mountains! My family and dog went hiking just before sunset , around 6pm to 6:15ish. Maybe 20 feet from us a pack of coyotes started howling , we did not see them however they were too close for comfort. Keep in mind the mountains are there home . After we quickly retreated down , we kept hearing sounds of something being eaten . Have fun but be safe !You could even hear things moving around near the play area , another family decided to leave because of this also.

I love having the playground and hiking trails near each other! The mountain perimeter trail is easy enough for my three year old to do with me, and on days where we don’t feel like hiking we can just play at the playground as well. Everything looked clean and well maintained. Beautiful views!

  • 5/5 Amanda H. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful neighborhood park that is always very clean and quiet. A great place for families and children to play and relax. The desert views are lovely and the playground equipment and park is nicely maintained. Plenty of picnic tables and a few bbqs to grill. Freshly remodeled volleyball area and clean bathrooms. We have been coming here for years and highly recommend visiting.

All time favorite park here in Arizona, especially the City. Once it becomes around sunset and if you're on the mountain then you'll be able to enjoy the true beauty of the Arizona skyline during a sunset.

Good park! The jungle gyms are not intuitive and some of the exercise machines along the sidewalks are dangerous for children to use, but there are wide open spaces that are great for sports as well as model rocketry and remote control toys. There are many routes up to Lookout Mountain. There is a tennis court. The bathrooms may be the worst part.

This is a cool park and hiking the mountain from 16st is the best approach although there is a trail there that circles the mountain so it doesn't really matter where you start. The bees are attracted to water, it had rained the day before so they were drinking out of a little rock pond. I was lucky to spot a hawk hunting also.
