We really love this park ❤️ kid’s favorite one. They love the lake with so many ducks. The grass is always green there, many trees for enough shade, lot of seating benches. Huge play area there for kids, Tennis courts and the baseball ground is big plus . Saturday mornings are always busy there due to the farmer’s market, if you love shopping produce locally then a must visit place. Highly recommended !

Always good 🎣fishing and they cleaned the entire pond out ,cleaned and removed turtle traps, also the water is actually clean ,and clear !! They did a great job on removing limbs, much, rocks, old tangled up line. Minimal snagging Means more fishing less hooking and baiting. Always a fun time with the family or just a quick sto. Trout are biting really well off of garlic power bait, worms ,and corn. Catfish love, chicken breast ,hot dogs, and chicken gizzards!! I personally Caught every species of fish available at this pond including about 30 turtles 🐢.... Hopefully the removed many of them as they are not supposed to be in the pond. Good luck and have fun!!! Bring a trash bag, and chairs as seating is limited along shoreline. They just stoked it 5 days ago with trout and catfish !! 12/15/2021

we all go through a lot of hurdles in life. this one was an especially cold and lonely night. I think, for some reason, I can't do it. I can't stop thinking about this one person and come to terms with a happy future without them. I can't move forward without them on my mind. for all the things I ever wanted to accomplish, letting go of them seems even harder. every time I see them it throws me for a thousand fold loop. how can someone be that beautiful? why can't I stop thinking about them? this happened so long ago? it causes me a great deal of anguish and strife. what am I doing wrong? what is WRONG WITH me? these inner flaws and mental turmoil come to a head on nights like these. roadrunner park at night provides a solemn backdrop for these kinds of thoughts. almost as a chamber of meditation. the quiet reflection of the moonlight on the lakefront. the noisy quacking of the squabbling ducks. a boy and his teenage struggles. it's rough sometimes. but that's a part of life. I don't know when I'll get over this. if I ever will. I pray to God it's soon. I don't know how much longer I can do this. but if there's any place I'd want to quietly contemplate my own demise and why I'm not good enough it definitely would be at roadrunner park. 5/5 recommend show up at night with a good friend and a lot to think about. doesn't get much better than this!

I highly recommend Roadrunner Park as being ideal for doggie play dates, dog walks, bird watching (serene lake w/ adequate benches for sitting), tennis, picnics, swimming, alongside a playground. Transparently, I discovered Roadrunner Park this morning. My partner and I will soon adopt a puppy. And I plan to walk my soon-to-be adopted puppy at this park. I’m very pleased w/ the non-existent litter and sufficient shade from trees. In short, highly recommended.

Great playground...for bigger kids as well as little ones. Lots of ducks & turtles in the lake. Even a Blue Heron. Lots of picnic tables as well as covered Ramadan. Farners market on Saturday mornings, too. Pool, baseball field, tennis courts & basketball court. This park has it all.

I absolutely love this park! I've been coming here for 30+ years and now my daughter is enjoying it too. I always see families here and kids playing on the playground! The ducks are a huge plus too.

My pooch enjoys this park and it's always clean with friendly people. Keep your head on a swivel though, lots of ducks means lots of poop.

First time visiting this park. Came on a Saturday to visit the farmers market. It was very nice, pretty small took about 10 minutes to look at, then went for a walk around the park. It was plenty busy on Saturday. People walking around, kids roller skating, there was a gender reveal party, lots of kids at the playground, people using the sports areas and even a fly fishing class taking place. Was nice to visit but wouldn't be my first choice park to go to.

  • 3/5 Michael N. 4 years ago on Google
This is a decent park overall. Although the kids area is a little older and out of date compared to other parks. They have several fields for different sporting events. Basketball, soccer fields, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, even a pool. They also have a great farmers market on Saturdays. One of the biggest events in the park that people like most. Parking can be a bit tough though and needs to be addressed. Also the bathrooms need to be updated and/ or fixed badly.

Nice, comfortable park, with a duck pond, a playground, volleyball and basketball courts, and a reasonable amount of space. They have bathroom facilities (I did not go in, myself). I might not spend more than an hour there, without bringing stuff to do with me, but it's an all together well-rounded park. I'd rate it 8 or 9 out of 10. Aside from a potential lack of shade, it would be a great spot for a picnic.

Beautiful, busy but not too busy. Lots to do including tennis playing. Courts open early 5:30. Large areas to walk and play, fly kite, watch birds, ducks and geese, watch people play, watch dogs pay and work. Everyone friendly but staying socially distanced be prepared to wear masks. Great space.

The park itself is great. Plenty of activities, a farmer's market, playground, even a pool (with limited availability in normal times). Parking can get nasty though. Also, often, the restrooms can make you go "oof". So if that's one of your deal breakers, be aware

I have not been to Roadrunner park for many years. I was really impressed on how fun it is. Just walking around the lake with the numerous ducks and other birds around was a lot of fun. There's a lot of other activity including tennis and fishing and soccer. I will be back.

Park is very nice. Nice pond with geese, ducks and pigeons. Lots of green grass. Unfortunately half the people were not wearing masks, nobody at the farmers market was socially distancing even though the tents were setup apart from each other. And lots of people had dogs off of the leash.

My favorite park. Beautiful scenery with so much to offer. Pool, playground, baseball, walking, running, volleyball, basketball, picnics, bbq, tennis, farmers market on weekends and a beautiful pond with wildlife. I was worried moving to Paradise Valley, thinking it would be snobby. Everyone I’ve encountered on my walks through the park have been friendly. The culture is diverse. The park is clean and very safe, even at night.

Love Road runner spark. Always has a lot of people there, farmers market, tennis, fishing. Only issue is the over population of ducks and slit of Dead fish.

  • 4/5 Sherry W. 3 years ago on Google
Please drain the lake & clean it!! It's pretty gross The dead trees need some attention too. The bathrooms are about 20 yrs overdue for remodeling! And your West pool is getting algae growth BUT still my favorite local park with 40 yrs of memories there!

This Park is big enough that you should always try and go deeper in before picking your table, bench, patch, or shade. Parking is large but street parking is only allowed on the Columbine Dr border. I spent a couple of summers in the pool, as well as used the lit soccer fields behind the tennis courts. Roadrunner Park and Pond are excellent use of a compact green (or AZ grass brown) space where they host farmers markets, tournaments, or group engagements.

The only park I've found in the valley where I can walk onto a real baseball field (not softball) that's not locked up, and practice pitching off of a pitcher's mound! And it's open untill 11pm, and has restrooms. It's worth the 45 minute commute from Mesa.

Awesome park, but would like to see the pond taken care of as well, cleaned of derbies, plastic, plastic bottles and dead catfish, unless it's good for turtles. There are ducks of variety and guesses. So also to see the restrooms up graded to standard, they did the purpose but need a make over.

  • 3/5 DRK F. 3 years ago on Google
It was a nice park. The only thing I found bad was the grass was a little dry, the play ground was a little sun damaged, and one of the slides were blocked off causing my child to hit his head. So I will give this park 3 stars .

Shade, water, pool, farmers market... Awesome. But plan ahead for parking. It was nice to have security onsite to help direct traffic and identify parking places. Pond had recently been cleaned and turned bright blue. Lots of ducks. Lots of open space to bring dogs. It's a gem.

One of our most favorite parks to visit. Big open areas and plenty of sports areas also. There's also a pool and kids area. Don't forget to bring some bread to feed the ducks!

  • 5/5 Sterling M. 2 years ago on Google
There has been a farmer's market here every Saturday for many years. Great place. They have a community pool open in the summer. They have sprawling grassy fields great for flying kites (beware of the kite eating trees). There is are multiple soccer fields, baseball fields where you can play kickball, softball, baseball etc. Relatively safe at all hours of the day and early evening. There is a pond where you can fish that has lots of ducks and turtles for your enjoyment. There is also a big playground. There are public bathrooms here.

When it comes to parks in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, this is a nicer one. The grass is very green, there’s lots of big trees for shade, places to play sports, to sit, and a pond. Good for PokémonGo as well because there’s lots of stops and gyms near each other, and lots of other players on community days

A busy park with lots of cabanas to enjoy gathering with friends and family. It has a nice pound with ducks and gooses. People are fishing! At Saturdays there are a farmer market, real products of local farms. I bought grounded beef and chicken thighs, real natural product, highly recommend. The park are kept clean and green, but the restrooms are not so much. Otherwise, I will give 5 stars.

Excellent spot for taking a walk, feeding the ducks, sports( volleyball, basketball, baseball, and others, I'm sure. Always well kept, even while construction fences are in multiple areas, they are all covered with a tarp to not spoil the view.

Roadrunner Park is a hidden gem for anyone who loves spending time in nature. My boyfriend and I visited the park recently and were blown away by the natural beauty that surrounds the park's grounds. We spent the morning fishing and exploring, and the serene ambiance of the park provided the perfect setting for a romantic day out. As a nature lover, I was impressed by the abundance of flora and fauna that thrives in the park's environment. The tranquil ponds are home to a variety of wildlife, and we had the pleasure of seeing some beautiful birds and fish during our visit. While the park's facilities could use some improvement, I appreciate the raw, unfiltered beauty that the park has to offer. The rustic picnic tables and facilities only add to the park's natural charm, and it felt like we were transported to a simpler time when nature was the main attraction. I would highly recommend Roadrunner Park to anyone who wants to experience the beauty and serenity of nature. Whether you're an avid angler or simply looking for a peaceful place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Roadrunner Park is a great choice. Four stars!

Love the Saturday market! And love the pond, this park is full of people but not full of parking. It’s a great park to walk to or ride your bike. I’d love to see the farmers market expand and include a bigger variety The Sound Healer, that is there from time to time is amazing.

No doubt it's a huge park but people need to be responsible enough to clean after their pets. Parties are hosted but irresponsible in leaving behind their used plates and dishes. If a trash bin is full, find an alternative to dump your trash, just don't try to squeeze in the same bin.

A nice little park that takes about 20 minutes to walk around its lake. At the moment, The lake has been drained of all its water, cleaned, and refilled. I think I read the project is going to take about 3 or 4 months to complete which I think is very speedy considering government time. Plenty of picnic tables fire pits and portable bathrooms available although they can get pretty grody toward the end of the day.

  • 4/5 Ashton R. 7 months ago on Google
Roadrunner Park is awesome for volleyball with friends. They have nets all set up, which makes it super easy to start playing. We had a blast in the park, enjoying the game and the outdoors. It's the perfect spot for some relaxed volleyball fun with friends. 👍👍

Our family grew up around this park... aunts, uncles, and cousins. We've been meeting at this park for our annual family reunion picnics because we love the ramadas, the lake, accessibility of restrooms, and the trees. We were disappointed that the lake was closed off due to remodeling, but we're looking forward to seeing it next year
