First time here. It was a great experience. Very beautiful of the reservoir. A lot of ducks and seagulls. Bring bread to feed them! There were a lot of people feeding the ducks and seagulls. Be aware they can get a little aggressive when trying to feed them, but it wasn't too bad. Plenty of space to brings out some chairs or a blanket to have a picnic. I also saw people fishing as well.

You can smell the pine trees! Relaxing. The ducks & geese assume everyone has food.

A great place to go with your fur-baby!!! My husband, our (not so) little girl (tho she THINKS she is a lap-dog 😉), Sadie, and I go here as often as possible!!! It's beautiful, picturesque, and has millions of trails, not to mention a big gorgeous reservoir. Sunsets & sunrises can be particularly majestic here!!

Beautiful place to take a hike with the family year round. Natural scenery with wildlife and trails. The reservoir is massive and will not disappoint on the views.

My wife and I were headed to Baltimore to visit some friends and wanted to do a fall hike along the way. The trail head is at the bottom of a hill with space to park on the shoulder, no bathrooms though. There was more parking near the water, so maybe there were restrooms there. The hike itself was lovely. Well maintained trails wound through the woods with some gentle elevation gain. Coming from Wisconsin, seeing how little the leaves had changed was surprising this late in October was surprising, but there was still enough color to get those fall vibes. Side note: if you come in on Manor Rd and you see a line of trees along the road, there's a good chance you'll see a pig. Don't worry there's a sign informing you not to stop because the pig will not go in the road. Worth the side trip.

The best place to hike in Baltimore County. Dozens of trails for every skill level, only problem is sometimes the trailhead parking lots fill up early. There are also lots of old ruins to explore if you're into history. Perfect for a scenic drive as well.

absolutely the best park in maryland in my bias opinion. i love to hammock here and watch the sunset over water. it’s beautiful and photogenic- some great hikes here. i’ve spent 100s of hours here over the years. i can hammock in the trees near the water for 5 hours and there’s nothing i’d rather be doing while i’m there

Beautiful every season of the year although closed November through March. We keep two canoes there and you can rent boating equipment as well. No noisy motorboats to disrupt peaceful day of boating or fishing.

Center is really nice. Staff is great and very helpful. Boats are reasonably priced for the day. Sometimes we all go and rent more than one. We always catch something, we usually release so we don't weigh them. Love the other animals too, nice to see other stuff while fishing. The photos, however, are from a walking trail by the bridge not at the fishing center. We take our dog for long walks weekly, and tried one of their tails. Found a great fishing spot for days when we don't rent a boat! If you walk this trail though, be prepared for the hills, there's a bike trail as well.

Beautiful place to relax. Great for a picnic, hammock, casual walk, for a minimal fee take a boat / kayak / canoe out for a day etc.

Easy breezy trails. I have memories from when I was a toddler, when my siblings were toddlers, from college and beyond walking these same trails, looking at geese and ducks, and illegally swimming with floaties and my friends. A great reprieve from the mundanity of the day-to-day. Don't litter.

Highly recommend spending the day on the reservoir. Cheap electric boat rentals for the day is amazing. Love the fishing. Just brought home two nice size white perch today and me and my son are about to eat. This is a highly advisable destination to spend with a date, family, or even alone.

Most folks don't know that Baltimore city is one largest property owners in Baltimore county 300 miles of shore line for the drinking water of metro area but these guys don't give a quack year round residents just like for you to come say hello perhaps a cracker some bread and not leave a mess remember they live here we just visiting their house

The place good for kayaking. In summer it is open until 7 pm but in fall it is open until 5 pm. You can rent a motor boat for 33 dollars and only 3 people can ride it. There is an Asian American guy working in the office who is kinda rude though, but hey once you rent the boat you're nothing going to deal with anymore.

Nice to come here to fish. They have some very nice hiking trails also. Lot of people bring their children here to feed the geese and the ducks. This time of the year the trees are just starting to change colors it's beautiful.

The reservoir has MILES of hiking and spring is in full force! Lots of flowers and wild life (paradise for birders, saw deer, turtles, and one sad mange-ridden fox) popping up, just beware that by the reservoir lots of bugs are buzzing too... no one was on the trail when I went and it was pretty peaceful. Some garbage on the trail, will bring a bag next time and pick some up.
