We were a party of seven... birthday dinner, on a week day night around 6ish. Let me just say... This place has the BEST waiting staff I have ever seen in my life. I'm gonna praise them. Everyone one of them, from the one we ran into outside, before arriving for the meal, to the very last one of the night. Amazing. These people seem to really enjoy their jobs as well. What a breath of fresh air. The food was really good. Everything arrived perfect. Drinks were amazing. We all had a wonderful time. It does looks strange from the outside, next to MedOne. Looks more like an office building than a restaurant. Do not let that fool ya. I would fully suggest going here to experience the ambiance, the food and beverages, and especially the wait staff. All wait staff, everywhere in the world, should be trained by this staff. Just amazing.

The Gladly is nestled in the heart of the Biltmore. A classic venue for working professionals to escape and enjoy a meal and cocktails. The venue is a staple favorite as they are very consistent when it comes to the service they provide. I’ve been here several times and can say that what I get is always the same top notch experience. From the servers, to the host and including the bartender the service is pristine. You can never go wrong with their original salad. Such an interesting mix of ingredients as the dish is served cold, presented and mixed table side. You can never go wrong ordering this. I’m usually skeptical of ordering salmon as many places rarely cook it so it’s not dry. I’ve had the salmon enough times to assure you I savored each bite. I’ve also had the steak which is also a vested dish that will satisfy your taste buds. The cocktails are always strong and if you’re unsure of which drink to order an easy conversation with the bartender will remedy that.

This is a top favorite of mine for lunch or dinner. It’s great to take clients to if you’re looking for a higher end place and vibe. The chopped salad is absolutely delicious and the salmon and mashed potato’s are to die for! Hands down best I’ve ever had!!! And I eat out a lot! The service is top notch. And the drinks are phenomenal, you should definitely try the Glady Manhattan and That One Drink. So amazing. Check it out! Never a disappointment. Ever.

The Gladly is one of my favorite restaurants in the valley!!! It has the best [famous] chopped salad you will ever eat. Citizen Public House in Scottsdale also has the same salad. The quality of food, drinks, service, and atmosphere here are all fantastic. However it is quite expensive so I consider it a special occasion kind of place for myself.

I am SO glad we chose this restaurant!!! I discovered The Gladly via a recommendation from a food blogger that had visited the restaurant during her trip to Phoenix. The food is phenomenal. It is easily one of the top 3 meals I've ever eaten. The chef is an expert at combining unique flavor profiles to create amazing dishes. If you are ever in the Phoenix area I highly suggest making a stop here! This is what we ordered and everything was sooo good: {Chilean Crab Cakes} roasted corn salad | avocado sauce | chile oil {Roasted Brussels Sprouts} sweet corn grits | shaved Pecorino Romano | truffle oil {Pan Seared Scallops} sweet corn grits | Tender Belly bacon lardon | sautéed snow pea greens | cola gastrique {Press Coffee Short Rib} coffee rubbed boneless short ribs | parsnip purée | cherry bbq sauce | sautéed greens

The food was great! The atmosphere was phenomenal. Everything was perfect except the server... he just took our order with a snobby attitude. The "bus boy" took care of us with the most professional performance I have ever received. He treated my wife and I wonderfully.

Excellent staff. The food was good, but nothing to right home about. The ambience was good. Easy to park, with plenty of parking in the back.

Chef is stuck on himself. Wont come see you unless he wants too. You play with food chef. You're not curing cancer. Learn to be more personable....your food will taste better if you do

Great atmosphere if you like the bar scene. A little slow getting served for dinner, but if you're looking for an amazing choice of whiskeys this is the place. You've got to get the "Ice Ball" - really cool.

So Glad To Have The Gladly I went to The Gladly 4 years ago for Mother's Day and it was incredible, so much so that I decided I wanted to enjoy that amazing chopped salad for my birthday this year. I called because I wasn't sure if they were doing curbside pickup and Danielle happily informed me they'd be happy to fulfill my birthday wish! Danielle went over some menu items and I decided on the short ribs and chopped salad, which were prepared to perfection and left me in a food coma! When I picked up my order I was wished a happy birthday by the gentleman who brought it out, which was a really pleasant surprise. Once home, I found inside the bag a birthday card signed by all the staff members and cookies!!! Let me tell you, this is how you go above and beyond! I got a little misty eyed, I couldn't believe the kindness of these strangers, and the cookies were delicious, too. I had to call back and tell Danielle how their kindness really made my birthday special! I hope the management reads this review and sees what great people they have working for them! I've already mentioned the food, but it bears mentioning again that the short ribs were tender, delectable, and had a crust just begging for that amazing cherry reduction barbecue sauce! The parsnip puree was creamy and flavorful and the broccoli still had a little snap to it. Oh! And don't get me started on the chopped salad because I could find a thesaurus and lay down adjectives for days! This salad is unequivocally perfect. The "OG chopped salad" is my all time, hands down, ultimate favorite fancy food! The ingredients all dance on your tongue in perfect harmony, each bite a flavor combination all its own, and you never feel uncomfortably full even after eating the ENTIRE salad! The dressing really adds to the flavor, which if you read the list of ingredients seems rather impossible, but try it and you'll see it's true. I could keep going, but just go try it and find your own adjectives! 😍💚

Perfection from start to finish! We were here for New Year's and were not disappointed. Our server, Terry, was fantastic! He was very friendly and gave very honest opinions and recommendations. I had the House of Lords cocktail and it is my new favorite! Perfectly balanced and delicious. My husband had The Beginner's Luck and said it was one of the best cocktails he ever had. I had the chopped salad which was a great variety of flavors and textures while my husband had the daily soup (sausage and lentil) which he loved. We had the noble bread plate which was delicious given it's simplicity. We both had the scallops on Terry's recommendation and OMG absolutely the BEST scallops I ever had. The were beyond perfection in both seasoning and texture. I think any other scallops will be a disappointment from now on as The Gladly has really set the bar at an unsurpassable level. The grits had a very smooth, creamy, and just luscious texture. Bread pudding was nice and light and the sauce was to die far. Literally not one piece of constructive criticism I could even offer. I can't wait to come back!!!

My friends and I came here during Arizona Restaurant Week. I had short ribs and chopped salad. The chopped salad was fresh and good! However, the short ribs were burnt and dry (see photos). The brocolli was over salted (you can taste the salt crystals). The service seemed mediocre for the night. We had missing utensils, and our waitress was no where to be found most of the night. While I have been here before and there were great reviews of The Gladly, we think the quality has gone down and we won't be returning.

Great vibes for a neighborhood restaurant. There are indoor and outdoor space where you can bring dogs to dine in with you. The staffs were very friendly and well trained with hospitality mindset. Try the experimental cocktail menu, where the bartender will make you the special cocktail of the day (it’s ok to try…if you don’t like it, the waitress will change the cocktail for you.) I would recommend you to order crab cake and brussel sprout . The sauce for the crab cake was very refreshing and they use high quality graded crab. The brussel sprout was not that crispy but the mashed potato was out of this world! They put truffle oil in it. Very delicious. The dish that I was not impressed the most was the poke bowl. I think it lacked of the soy sauce flavor (it was a think lemon cream sauce).

Wifey brought me here for my birthday and Father's day dinner, both being on Father's day but we got other plans that day with the family. Atmosphere was great even with the current reconstruction of their patio. Food was excellent! Bacon fat popcorn was mind blowingly good. The original chopped salad was amazing and has the perfect dressing to compliment. We had the salmon and ribeye steak both fantastic with the sides shown. For dessert I created the ice-cream cookie sandwich shown. Ask for this and let them know Rasheda sent you for it, you won't be disappointed! The cookies are soft warm and gooey and perfect for this. Enjoy! 😉

Great ambience with modern furniture such as Prouve dining chairs adorn this sleek New American establishment. Extensive wine list with a good by the glass program. The wait staff has knowledge of wine and doesn’t simply pour the entire carafe into the glass, which is a plus for the wine connoisseurs out there. A variety of menu items ranging from salads, kid-friendly Mac-n-cheese, to vegetarian options. Well worth a visit and a fine evening of dress-up or down.

We went here for our girls bachelorette party over the weekend. This was our fancy dinner. It was delicious 🤤 everything everyone has was up to par. The drinks were incredible and not too badly priced. Staff was very attentive and even gave the bride a note from the staff for being a bride to be. Dark nice ambiance inside.

I really wanted to enjoy my meal at The Gladly however unfortunately there were just a few too many disappointments to rate it higher. The drinks were strong and on point, however the food was a bit of a letdown. The burrata appetizer was entirely too salty, and the cheese itself just didn’t have the classic flavors you’d expect from such a delicious soft cheese. The parsnip purée with the short rib had a very unappealing flavor to it that both myself and my boyfriend found to be inedible. The short rib itself however was cooked very well and had good flavor. The Chimichurri chicken was good, but again not great. I’m not sure if this was just a one-off bad meal here based on all the positive reviews, however I would pass on returning to find out.

The food was really good. The yellow fin tuna tasted very fresh. My husband really enjoyed his hamburger. I would give this place a 5 star review but the service wasn’t very friendly or welcoming. Although, I would come back for the food and to try different dishes.

This place was wonderful. The filet mignon was amazing. The atmosphere was sweet and our group had the best time. Fantastic service. The goats cheese with fig appetizers was my favorite. We prearranged the menu and our large group dinner.

This place was great! So was their appetizer/snacks. If you want to try every and any type of drink/cocktail/wine, or beer; they've got it. The bartenders/mixologist know how to do any type of drink that suits your fancy. We've been several times and would like to go back there. I believe their hours are only 10:00/10:30. It's well worth your trip. They're quite expensive, but at least try one time and you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere is nice -- we dressed up a bit when we went last. Music is nice too!

New year's dinner at The Gladly went surprisingly smooth, despite being very busy. There was a set list of options for a three course dinner. I ordered the wedge salad, the ribeye, and a Manhattan. The dessert was a red velvet cake. Everything was delicious, priced fairly, and with prompt service. I can't complain and will return.

The best valued New Year's Eve fixed menu I've had in a while. Extensive choices were offered for both the salad and entree courses. The food was delicious and service was prompt. I couldn't have asked for a better dinner on my New Year's Eve.

The Gladly has been a local favorite for years. From business dinners to date nights, the ambiance and offerings provide for a great meal. My party and I were enthused to visit The Gladly post-quarantine as our first meal dining in. The scallops were devine, per usual, and original chopped salad didn’t disappoint. Burrata and Pinot noir to round out the meal made it complete. So blessed to be able to enjoy a meal at this amazing Phoenix staple and look forward to more and more.

The Gladly has a great menu, very nice wine list and perhaps the best whisky list in Phoenix! Great raw bar with brown butter tuna & a nice selection of raw oysters. Don't miss the Original Chopped Salad, it's DELICIOUS. For a main they have a number of nice options with seared scallops, filet mignon, press coffee short rib and a yummy tuna poke, but my absolute favorite is the duck meatloaf! It's delicious!

Being the last ones on the patio with a large group our server was handling inside meant we got a little forgotten at the end there, but otherwise a perfect meal. That duck meatloaf was out of this world. All the flavors combined for a perfectly balanced dish. That roasted chicken was so moist and flavorful. Paired nicely with the risotto and tomatoes. That buttermooink burger though, that's where it was at. If you're into burgers, this one will leave you thinking about it for days after. Very worth a stop. Kind of an odd location, but come hungry.

Six of us had dinner here last night. NOT impressed. We were seated in the 'whiskey' room ( the only ones in there) Thus, we seemed forgotten half the time. Had to go to the bar and the bartender came in to get us new drinks. The food was marginal, medium rare steak was more like medium, vegetables under cooked. Not worth the money spent!!

  • 4/5 Sandy L. 3 years ago on Google
Food and service impeccable, but my reason for 4 star vs 5 is the price. For the portions felt it was very pricey. The chopped salad was much smaller than before and over $20 for upgrade to grilled salmon vs smoked. $25 for the lunch special and our other party ordered the beef burger. Lunch for 3, with no alcohol or beverages was over $80 with tip.

This happened over 2 years ago, and it looks like they’ve gotten rid of the review. Probably the poorest service I’ve ever experienced, me and my girlfriend walked into this place and the place was very nice, we were dressed casual and we asked if there was a dress code, the receptionist said “no, you’re fine. “ The place was near empty and there were 2 parties already having lunch, we asked to sit down and she said there is no availability. She said the bars available, it’s open seating, go ahead and help yourself, so we sit down and greet the bar tender as he was having a conversation with a patron and cleaning glasses. He says nothing. So me and Shauna kinda look at eachother and say,”are you feeling what I’m feeling?” We wait for a bit and wait and wait.. I told Shauna my gf, I was gonna write a review before I left and when I get done ,let’s leave. So I wrote this review and we walked out without eating or drinking.

My first visit here and certainly not my last! We were thankful for the ample parking and validation of our parking ticket. We walked in and immediately could see the really cool vibe of the place. There’s a really cool patio with soft lighting and heaters. We ordered the Noble Bread Plate which was wonderful comfort food for us. I had The Original Chopped Salad which came with smoked salmon but since I’m not a fan of smoked food, they were kind to simply grill it at my request. I ate every bite! The service was excellent and adhered to masks to keep us all safe. Excellent experience!

The food is really delicious! There's a reason that there's always a line out the door. I got both the two chicken tenders combo and the sliders combo. I like spicy food but since I wasn't familiar with their spice level, I got one hot and one medium version. Next time I'll get both meals hot because it's tolerable enough for my bf (who isn't a big fan of spice) to eat. I saw people dipping their fries in cheese sauce so I got some on the side for an extra $0.50 and it was good. The price for each meal was right around $11-$14. Not bad at all for the quantity of food you receive and the delicious quality.

Alla'nduja pizza: 3/5 Unfortunately my least favorite order of the night, probably because I didn't think it'd be THIS spicy. AND it came with a giant knife and we had to cut it ourselves - we were terrible at this and all the toppings would drag everywhere and I'd be left with giant bare areas on the pizza (Uneven areas of toppings on pizza drives me crazy!). I thought just the sausage would be spicy - the tomato sauce used on the pizza definitely carries a lot of heat as well. My partner didn't like the flavors either - we both agreed that the crust and ingredients individually were fresh, but we didn't like the overall flavor of the spigarello (resembled broccoli rabe leaves), sausage, and spicy sauce together. I wish I had ordered the burrata pizza or margherita instead! Doh!

Parking: valet available for $4. Try the streets first because you can get lucky! Staff: attentive and great. It was a friend's birthday so they even brought out some flan with a candle for him Food: delicious! This was my first time having Brazilian BBQ but the cuts of meat they brought out were flavorful, hot, and so good. The sides they have were also great but I don't suggest filling yourself up on that. Oh, and don't miss out on the plantains and grilled pineapples... yum! Price: $60 + tip/tax for dinner. Pricey for sure but it's definitely an experience.

If you are fan of Citizen of Public House in Oldtown Scottsdale then you will be fan of The Gladly Restaurant as well. I recommend the Ribs, Scallops and Cob salad. Shout out to our server Tim for recommending the Gladly Makers drink!! :)

Went for friday dinner. Place was very spacious with a casual somewhat romantic decoration. We got eggplant dip and torshi(pickled vegetables) for appetizers. My friend liked the pickled veggies, I was okay with it. The eggplant dip was slightly warm, flavorful and I liked it. I got the chicken and ground beef kebab plate. The chicken was good(not dry and seaoned) but nothing to write home about. The beef was seasoned nicely and cooked to perfection.

I am also a huge fan of the ground sirloin kabob (koobideh), as it is very flavorful and juicy. This is a popular item and so the kitchen may be out by the late evening. That can be disappointing. The kashkeh bademjoon (eggplant dip) is another favorite.

Menu had many great options. Brussel sprouts starter was buttery greatness. This chop salad was delish and unique. The steak salad looked incredible too.

Food, bar, and service were all excellent. Atmosphere after dark was less neighborhood eatery, more upscale swanky joint with an interesting clientele mix of those in shorts and those in sports coats, a bit like “come as you are”

Fantastic place, the food, drinks and service is all top notch. I have been here a few times and this place keeps raising the bar. They have a fantastic Bourbon 🥃 and Whiskey collection and offer a clear ice ball pressed right on the table. The rock lasts for 3-4 drinks easy. A must try if you like whisky. The food is super. They also have a happy hour which is an amazing deal for the quality of menu items. The sausage & pretzel, burrata and super yummy nuts are superb. The crab cakes and tuna crudo are good. The short ribs and chimichuri chicken are phenomenal. The chicken dish is quite spicy and very flavorful and savory. The service is exceptional and overall ambiance is great.

Really delicious lunch. Giuliano was a fantastic server, highly attentive with great customer service skills. He helped us get out the door on time for my flight. Thanks for a great experience!

Overall, a nice restaurant with many speciality cocktails and drinks. The service was not up to the quality of the food. We had to ask for refills on drinks and dirty glasses were never removed. No serious attempt was made to sell dessert. Short Ribs and accompanying sauce were great.

I'm a big fan of Citizen Public House but this was my first visit to their sister restaurant, The Gladly, and it was just as excellent! A few menu items are available at both restaurants and we couldn't resist the chopped salad here either. I also tried one of the specials that night: short rib ravioli and it was delicious. The cocktails were also really good. I will definitely be back and would like to try something from the raw bar next time too.

A lovely experience on a lovely Phoenix night. We enjoyed dinner on the patio. Nice ambiance, even with Camelback Road a stones throw away. The entire staff was polite and caring, and our server (Rachel) was fun and delightful. The salmon I ordered was great, my partner's scallops were delicious, and the bread pudding makes my mouth water now just thinking about it. Looking forward to returning!

Gorgeous venue, attentive staff and delish food. My friend and I are in town and stumbled across this place. It was eye catching at night with cool lighting and candles. So we decided to turn the car around. We were greeted by a friendly hostess then the waitress. The grits and Brussel sprouts were different but didn’t disappoint. We both enjoyed a house cocktail which were smooth. Then for dinner we had the chicken with a spicy potatoes. Take my word it’s a great classy place for a fine dining meal.

One of the most sloppily put together meals. The veggie entree was awful. Overcooked quinoa and wild rice blend. Very mushy. All my vegetables were massively served. The mushrooms were supposed to be the start and yet I can’t find them. No attention to detail with the cuts whatsoever. Then some sort of balsamic? This isn’t a cohesive meal. It’s obvious whoever came up this is not plant based. Salmon was poorly cooked with the skin on it was soggy and the skin was so chewy. My knife barely cut through it. The salad had no greens and was majority corn…This is top two worst meals I’ve ever had in Phoenix. Couscous salad with salmon and the veggie entree. 🚮 Over $50 for this. I’m shocked. Such a fancy aesthetic.

Food and drinks here are always amazing. Probably some of the best zero proof (non-alcoholic) cocktails I’ve had in a long time. The chicken wings are always delicious. As are the salads and poke bowl. It is slightly expensive, but that’s to be expected for the quality of food and service you’re receiving.

First, I would like to thank Liz& Art for a wonderful experience. The food is amazing. I tried the short ribs, which is outstanding!!!!!! The chef created a delectable strawberry cheesecake. This needs to be added to the menu. My tummy has not been this happy in a long time. Thank you for the food, atmosphere and warm welcome. I can't wait for my next visit.

I happy recommend this eatery! Food: delicious with hardy potion size. Service: excellent. My first time here with a private party, but will not hesitate to make personal reservations and come again.

A Delight!! Service: Upon arriving for reservation, we found a lovely placecard set up by the hostess commemorating our celebratory event. Additionally, our always pleasant and attentive server kindly offered a complimentary dessert in honor of the festivities. Food: Perfectly prepared and delicious. Salmon was tender and tasty, spicy potatoes were 100x more supurb than fries or mash, and rum bread pudding is a definite stand out! And as if the amazing array of whisky selections wasn't already enough, the artisan ice ball adds an extra special distinctive artistic flare that's a must have addition to any glass! Atmosphere: Clean, bright, stylish, and relaxed ambiance. Beautiful bar.

The food was good. I ordered medium well steak, and it was more well, unfortunately, but still tasty! We came to celebrate our anniversary I loved that they were able to make a mini custom sign for us. Nice touch! They even had a happy hour, and drinks were incredible!

One of the most underrated places in Arcadia. Food is good, place is usually not too busy. And the prices aren't outrageous. I highly recommend.

What a great place! We had dinner and drinks here last night. The salmon was great! For appetizers-try the Brussels sprouts and the tuna (not on the menu), they closed at 10 but continued to serve us until 11. The service was great. The old fashions were going down way too well!

We were greeted with the door opened and a smile! We enjoyed the bar area until the attentive hostess sat us in the newly remodeled patio. So nice with plants and comfy seating. There's also a big family table where we have had company gatherings. The Food is why we come here. The menu has something for everyone and soooo delicious! The people at the Gladly are happy and make you feel important. The Gladly was named appropriately. Make sure to make reservations!
