A pleasant discovery on a last day with my gal, a late brunch after a drive from Scottsdale. Food was delicious with large portions. An all day happy hour also sweetened the pot. A lovely salad was split... it was so huge, and the fish and chips could likely have been served the same, but I was exceptionally hungry, so polished off a serving myself... 3 piece F&C! Prices were very reasonable, and this would be my local if I lived in Phoenix. Great staff/service too... would loved to have spent the day. Live/stay at walking distance, or have a DD though, lol!

Windsor is located conveniently near Central and Camelback Ave in midtown Phoenix, a great choice for our Sunday brunch outing. Arriving at around 11am on Sunday, there were already people waiting in line. One of the highlights of Windsor is its beautiful and serene backyard, filled with lush greenery and a refreshing mist. It provided the perfect setting for our family, and we were fortunate enough to secure a private corner sofa where we could comfortably accommodate our three children. We ordered a variety of dishes. The Windsor Egg Benedict with lox and spinach was a standout. The eggs were impeccably fresh, and the combination of the runny yolks on two perfectly toasted muffins was a delight for both the eyes and the taste buds. The vibrant colors of bright yellow and cozy pink added to the overall appeal of the dish and brought a sense of joy and happiness. Another standout was the Southern Style Sausage & Gravy. Although I'm not typically a fan of sausage, this one impressed me. It was fresh and had just the right amount of seasoning without being overly salty. The flavors blended harmoniously, making it a satisfying and savory choice. The portion sizes of kids' meals were generous, and the combination of freshly baked fish fillet, orange slices, grapes, and mac and cheese provided a balanced and wholesome meal. Our children thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Customers were offered the option to order the well-known Churn ice cream right from the table. We opted to visit the adjacent Churn ice cream shop this time to let our kids pick and choose their flavors Our server, Jacob, was exceptional. Despite the challenges that come with dining out with three young children, Jacob remained calm, patient, and attentive throughout our meal. He periodically checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed, and his friendly demeanor made our experience joyful and memorable. It was evident that Jacob took pride in his 11-year tenure at Windsor and genuinely enjoyed serving customers, spreading happiness and positivity.

Went to the Windsor for lunch, it was fairly busy but we were seated immediately inside. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, both options are equally appealing. The building has tons of character as well as the outdoor patio area. The service was great, we ordered burgers and fish and chips. Everything tasted excellent. Loved the experience, would definitely back.

Been wanting to have a burger here forever and the one time I tried they're kitchen was closed due to some unforseen issues. What was awesome is the gave us a comp gift card to use at the other places across the street! Waited a week and came back and wad not disappointed. The burger was beyond what I could've expected and I never knew what I was missing by scrapping off caramelized onions, they're so good! Vibe, service and food all amazing. Gotta come back.

Cool spot to go grab a drink or more! I enjoy a beer or two and they have an option to grab a pitcher which equals about two pints, great deal! They have outdoor, indoor, and bar seating. They have a couple of tvs and music but not too loud where you can't hear your company. Chill spot and everyone seemed super nice! Gotta check it out. Oh and we did try the burger, it was delicious. The ranch too since I'm not a ketchup fan. Stop by and enjoy! I did forget to take a picture of the burger. Next time!

Came here for a late lunch with some friends and the kiddos in tow. We opted to sit outside so the kids could talk without disrupting others. Not the best opportunity for larger group sizes. Very tight quarters outside. So be mindful if you’re bringing more than 8 people. The staff was very kind and patient with us and all of the kiddos. The burgers were very delicious along with the fries. I wish the misters outside were a bit more consistent though. At times it felt as if it was raining and other times where there was nothing coming out and the heat was starting to get go us.

A must try local neighborhood place. The drinks and food 💯. The freshness and quality of the drinks are the main reason to try this place #51 and #22 is what I ordered. By far my favorite #51 but if I'm honest I would give all of them a try. Hubby order unfiltered IPA on a rotating beer on tap. Although we went during busy hours, service was delivered beyond what we expected. Felt the great energy and hustle. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back for more.

You get a free appetizer on your first visit so make sure to mention this!!! Came on a Friday night so it was kind of busy but we got a table right away! The service was very fast and efficient! Our waiter failed to let us know about the free appetizer so instead they gave me a free cocktail 🍸. Fine with me lol . Also it’s very dark inside so keep that in mind while dining. They don’t have a kids menu which is surprising since churn is next door and probably attracts a younger crowd and families with children. Got the fried chicken 🍗 it was very good . Also got a cucumber cocktail that was delicious 😋

Another fantastic experience at Windsor. This time for two lunch visits. I cannot resist the Fish and Chips with a beautiful side of kale salad. The next visit I went for the ribs and the incredible church potatoes. A glutinous affair for sure but the bill is surprisingly fair which can be attributed to the $6 cocktails specials which is the finest excuse for day drinking. Service is always professional and excellent and the overall vibe is right. A visit to the ice cream shop Scoop does not even require leaving your table. All around winner again and again. And they are so kind to the pups on the patio. One of my valley go to favorites.

A lively place with a fun drink menu, diverse clientele and a staff that seems to genuinely work there. We tried a couple of the cocktails and had dinner. The porkwich was a great choice. With pig three ways, you can't go wrong. You could taste the pulled pork, ham and bacon separately, but they blended as well to a delicious bite. We had the Fish and Chips as well. The fish was very crispy on the outside with the right yeasty hint of beer, while being tender, flaky and moist inside. The chips were sthin and crispy. Rather than getting dessert we opted to walk over to Churn, right next door. They offer the ice cream at Windsor if you like. Either way you should try the ice cream.

Had a nice lunch. It was busy but we still had good service. The fish in the fish and chips were good. The fries were uninspired and I'd suggest they try something better there. The appetizers were different. Not really to my taste but not bad - worth trying but I'll probably won't order them again.

Not just a short term trendy restaurant filled with a generic patron. This one has lasted and has a variety of customers. The patio is cute but inside is warm dark and cozy. The cassette wall is cool and fun to have churn ice cream shop attached. The whiskey drinks were good but the food was fantastic. The deviled egg dip is unique and goes well with the house chips. Two of us shared the bbq plate and it was filling enough. The ribs fell off the bone, the ham with the mustard was perfect and there was so much flavor in the pulled pork without not any sauce. Of course the cheddar jalapeno cornbread was a delicious add on as well. Wonderful dinner

A local suggested this place for brunch and it did not disappoint. It is packed on the weekends but worth the wait. Fantastic variety and price on cocktails. The cinnamon roll, fish & chips, and cheesy potatoes were all great. The only complaint I have was the fries with the fish and chips were labeled as having a “Sweet & Spicy” seasoning on the menu, however they tasted like regular salted fries. They were great, just not sweet & spicy.

Phenomenal restaurant! We came for Sunday Brunch. Great food and drink menu. Our food was spectacular... good portions and cooked perfectly. It was hard to choose what to get because everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing! Our server was super friendly and kept our drinks full. The outdoor patio is an awesome place to enjoy your meal and / or drinks... very peaceful. Highly recommend!

First timer. 1:30pm on a rainy weekday and it’s packed. Great vibe. Not the pretentious Scottsdale crowd that I’m used to but a great mix with lots of gays 💃🏽. Happy hour $6 wine and beer is a great deal. Food very good with one exception: if there were a crime for impersonating a banh mi sandwich, Windsor would get life in prison. Fish on brioche with cucumbers is not a banh mi; It’s a tasty fish sammie. Looking forward to future visits.

This would've been a 5 star but they didn't have NA beers and I'll explain. If I was on a date, being a no drinker, I'm forced to order soda (which I don't drink) or water or tea. Not kool in that moment, but I was with the fellas tonight to watch the game. The place is beautiful inside. A gorgeous patio with misters and shade. The fellas loved their meal, but we all agreed that the meal that was the winner was the one the waitress chose for me. BBQ rib plate with a biscuit, pulled pork, and Jo's church potatos. Awesome!! We started with the house chips and the Russian roulette. Both very good, but the chips with blue cheese and sauteed onions was fantastic. We all had dessert and once again I asked the server to pick something for me and she chose a strawberry shortcake from Churn. (For many years this was my go to dessert if available). This was a fantastic visit and thank you for wonderful food and our server was top notch....THANK YOU!

Very hip little restaurant in the heart of Phoenix. Varied menu has something for everyone - I had the fish and chips today which was good. Even better was the homemade chips starter w/bacon and chipotle sauce. The blackberry lemonade just hit the spot and made it all perfect. I'll be back! Oh yeah, there's a little ice cream shop on the other end - and a cool wall of cassettes you'll see in the hallway!

This is a nice place to have a meal with friends. It's pretty hipster so keep that in mind. The service felt pretty good. We got an amazing server with great attitude. Also the orders fulfilled pretty quickly. What I didn't like is that it felt super crowded. Also although the food tasted well it felt a bit overpriced. For example the rack of ribs was on the small side.

So we have a unique experience. This is our local restaurant and we have a pup that we had to say goodbye to. We brought him to the patio at the Windsor. The team was wonderful to our boy and treated him to an incredible meal and like the king he is. I know this is a human restaurant but what they did for my fur baby was incredible and I’m beyond thankful to the incredible staff

Loved this restuarant. This was the last stop in Arizona until our flight back to New York, and it was a phenomenal choice. Great quality dinner, drinks, and friendly staff. Atmosphere and ambience on point. Inside and outside dining available. Parking on site available. Highly recommend this place for both locals and visitors. My Instagram is @zarinazzzgab follow me

Drinks were amazing as always. Food was awful. Ribs were burnt and had a TON of bbq sauce to try to mask it. Food was maybe warm in spots. Could tell it was microwaved. Service from the staff was good. Hubby had the burger. Said it was a burger, nothing special. Won't go back there to eat but will most likely go back for cocktails.

Great restaurant in a prime uptown location. The food flavorful and the servers are always friendly. Another perk is they share the dessert menu with Churn next door.

My husband and I stopped here twice during our vacation to AZ. The overall vibe and atmosphere of Windsor was so inviting and fun. The cocktails were perfectly balanced and delicious. My husband didn't know what to get so the bartender whipped something up on the fly for him and it was great! Nathan (amazing waiter extraordinaire) suggested the chicken sammy and biscuits and gravy- both did not disappoint. After our wonderful experience we knew we had to stop back before we left Phoenix so we did. Again, we had great cocktails, service, and food. Whenever we turn to AZ we will definitely be returning.

Went for lunch here on Tuesday and it was amazing! Ordered the 98 from the bartender, Megan, and it was amazing! A Mezcal based drink but also very well balanced at the same time, not a complete smoke bomb. Vanessa, the manager dropped my food and checked on me and the burger was awesome. Great service and food, would highly recommend.

We love coming to the Windsor! Cocktails here are great and a great deal! The fried chicken is unbeatable. I love the inside and the outside area both, they have heaters and misters to keep things temperate as needed. The vibe, people, decor, and music makes it fun. Always trying something new because all of it has been great!

This place was predominantly white and my sons father (white) took me (black) here for my birthday dinner. I was never treated differently by any staff. However I could tell it seemed a bit more welcoming and normal to have white customers because they were the ones who made me feel like a spectacle. Other than that, it's an aesthetic place and the food was good.

This is a MUST try when in Phoenix! An incredible happy hour and some beautiful and delicious cocktails (highly recommend No. 17, No. 88, and No. 110 [no pictured]). Everyone in our party loved their meals. I got the market fish and it was INCREDIBLE. They get everything right at Windsor.

Came to this place because it sounded like a spot we would go to for a great meal and good drinks. Nick and Shawn where on point with service and suggestions. A super swanky place to enjoy the dinner and ice-cream for dessert. Service is awesome food is better than great and the cocktails are the best.

Great service and food! While waiting near the door to be seated, multiple staff if we’ve been helped. Our waitress and staff always refilled our waters before they were too low and checked in a couple of times to see how the food was. As we finished with our plates, they were picked up quickly. The loaded chips, picnic kabobs, and the salmon quinoa (fish of the day) were delicious. Cool atmosphere. We had a great experience and plan to return.

We come to the Windsor very frequently, and we love it. Our server, Sophie is always very friendly and attentive, and our food is delicious. I personally recommend the Backyard Burger, Windsor style, and the mac and cheese is delicious. Overall, an excellent evening.

Great atmosphere, positive service but do not get specialty ribs they are massively burnt on top. Go with a burger. Still tipped out 20% to server but no manager came to our table about our overcooked food. Sadly disapointing on food however drinks are good, minus the pours being small.

Of course great drinks, food, and prices but the thing that makes this the best in Phoenix, the staff! Consistent staff, which means good management, employees treated fairly, good work environment, etc. Every time we're there we feel like we are the only ones there bc the staff treats us amazingly! Get over there and find out for yourself!

The food was so good. Sometimes you go to places at the last hour before they close and the service is lacking...not today!! Carlos was our server. He informed us about the menu and food options . The food was so good the mac and cheese was soo yummy and crispy on top. Megan made me the most perfect Jameson and ginger ale!! Thanks to you both our choice for dinner tonight was a good one!!

Easily the best brunch in Phoenix! The food never disappoints, the cocktails are great (37 is the best brunch cocktail EVER!), and the service is always outstanding. The Matador, biscuits and gravy or Lox Eggs Benedict are some of the best dishes, though there really hasn't been one we didn't like. Do wish they'd bring back the crab cake Benedict. Shootout to Jacob for always providing amazing service!

Cozy atmosphere with nice patio. Very good food, delicious Mac and Cheese and Hamburgers. Mixed grain salad was good. Tried fried okra and it was very tasty. Kids divided trays include and great variety with each order, entree, side, fruit and veggies for a very fair price. Someone at the table had a pink, fruity drink in a martini glass with rose petals on top that was delicious. Good food, good prices and enjoy great Churn Ice Cream next door for dessert.

  • 5/5 Bradley H. 4 years ago on Google
We ran into Rene, a manager, while eating ice cream at Churn, which is next door, and wonderful as well. He told us to try the cheeseburgers if we had a chance. We came back the next night for Cheeseburgers and were not disappointed! They were excellent! The restaurant was crowded but we only waited at the bar for a little while before we were seated. The wait staff was awesome also. Juan and Hills were so friendly and nice. We highly recommend this place!
