This health center is beyond awful. If I could give them under 1 star I would. First off, we were on hold for 3 hours to make an initial appointment. We made an appointment for our 6 month old, a month in advance, for a Friday at 10AM. My husband and I both got work off to attend. The Monday prior to our sons appointment I got a voicemail from a staff member saying "hi, the doctor you scheduled with will not be in Friday but we have another doctor that will be in the office and they have an opening during the same time. please call back to confirm that is OK." I tried calling back Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, getting placed on hold each time for 1-3 hours each time. Never spoke to anyone. We decided we would just show up to our appointment Friday, with whatever doctor was available. Friday morning, as we are on our way to our sons appointment, I get a call at 9:50AM (remind you our scheduled appointment was at 10AM), from a front desk lady saying "just calling to make sure you guys aren't coming because we canceled your appointment." I asked if she could speak to the doctor and fit us in, as it was a mistake on their end, she said no and that they were fully booked for the day. I'd have to find another day. Long story short, we showed up anyways (because the whole situation was ridiculous frankly and my son needed his 6 month shots), and the doctor there made room for us at lunchtime. We were there for over 4 hours to get a few shots, all because Banner's system and customer service workers were so bad. All that to say, steer clear of this place. We will not be going back.

I never have written a bad review of a place but I was treated so poorly that I hope to spare anyone from going there. I needed to get some blood work done, so I decided to give Banner shot. Not only did the doctor I saw tell me that I was overreacting about some of serious symptoms I had. She dismissed everything I was saying and wouldn’t even listen to me. I had to beg this doctor to refer me elsewhere to get a second opinion. Come to find out, I went to a specialist and this is a very serious issue. If I would have not said anything and spoken up this issue would have gone in the dark. The office also took down my insurance information wrong and sent me a bill that I had to work with my insurance to get covered. Despite my issue with Banner, I really liked our pediatrician so I took my daughter to her 4 month check up. Only to be told that the doctor had retired. The lady at the front desk told me that they could get me seen in 40 minutes. I expressed in a very calm way how I was frustrated because I had gotten a text the day prior to confirm my appointment and that it’s not easy waiting with a baby. She was so rude and made me feel like I was crazy. I saw another family come up and they had the same thing happen. After waiting for 40 minutes the same lady at the front desk calls me up and says “we actually can’t see you today” She was so rude I left crying because it was so frustrating and she talked to me like I was crazy. I will never take my daughter back to a place that doesn’t respect my time. I am a working mom so I had to take off another sick day to take her to her new doctors office. This is the worst doctors office I have ever been too. They have no respect for your time, your feelings and don’t care to listen.

I really like Banner, however, there have been changes. I have been waiting a month for a prescription refill and to discuss a bill I received after a diagnosis code was used that my insurance won’t cover. Not sure why she used this code when I didn’t receive services or information/referral regarding the situation. My doctor won’t call me, and the medical assistant will take a week to call me after I leave a message with the front desk. I have had to leave 2 messages so far. Another week has gone by after the assistant said she would discuss my concerns with my doctor. It’s like talking to a third party who is not able to assist me. She suggested I schedule another appointment to talk to my doctor when I was just seen last month. I have been seen a couple of different times this year, do I really have to schedule an appointment for a follow up now? My issues continue to not be resolved. I am not sure why my doctor no longer does follow up calls after appointments/blood work is done. I don’t think a 5 minute phone call is too much to ask for.

Dr. Mikel is amazing!!! He listened and understood all my pain and symptoms when others didnt. He helped diagnose me when other doctors said it was in my head. He is such a wonderful, caring doctor and I wouldn't want to see anyone else. He has helped me in ways I can't even describe. Thank you for being one of the truly great ones out there. I appreciate all you do. Thanks.

Worse OBGYN experience ever. Unreasonable charge, unable to collect old medical record, lack of appointment availability with doctor. 1. They charged me $35 for filling out the FMLA form. And did not inform me upfront. 2. They tried to charge everything up front even when I have insurance, and failed to submit to my claim, so my deductible amount is lost count, lead to a over charged 3. For 3 times, they failed to obtain my previous medical record even after i signed all the forms 4. They don't have appointment opening until a month later. You can never reach the front desk. All calls go to the 'call center'. Hard to reach. many call transfers and wait time. 5. Through out my pregnancy, 3 out of 5 doctors quit. Only 1 provider left. No female provider for visit available. I had to be transferred from one doctor to another 4 times. However, the hospital experience is good. Just don't come to this OBGYN.

I signed a contract to receive all my prenatal care through this clinic and paid a very large amount on it when they suddenly cancelled and told me to go somewhere else in my third trimester. The care I was receiving from them was pretty mediocre and deceiving (telling you you're seeing an MD then sending you to a midwife, billing outside the contract for everything) and now they're dragging their feet to give me back the money they owe me and sending bills for things I've already paid. I talked to billing and they told me that I'm just going to have to just spend my maternity leave and time with my new baby calling them to contest every bill. Also it's now two months later and I haven't gotten a dime back of the money they owe me, which I need to pay the new doctor. I feel like I walked into a trap by ever going here. They never even provided any vital care for me or my baby, but I'll be getting the bills for months. They should be ashamed of taking advantage of pregnant people like this.

Terribly rude front desk staff. Also, I arrived on time for my 8am appointment. After waiting fifty minutes, I went to speak to the front desk and was told my appointment was changed to 8:30 without notice. I had to reschedule due to another appointment I scheduled at 9:30. The receptionist did not show any empathy or even offer an apology for the miscommunication. Absolutely no people skills!! Makes me concerned about the care providers and their bedside manner. 0/10 don’t recommend. I will not return.

I never leave bad reviews but my experience here has been ridiculous today. My appointment was at 3:15 pm. I have been sitting here waiting for the doctor for 1 hour. There is absolutely no reason to wait this long. I understand that doctors can run late. If that’s the case then let the patient know so they can make a decision. My time is just as valuable as their time is. This is underlying ridiculous and I’m going to find a new doctor because I shouldn’t have to wait an hour to see my doctor.

Reviews don't lie. I went in and saw a NP almost a month ago and paid about $160 dollar for nothing.... I still haven't get my prescription since my visit on 10/31 and it is 11/20...... How could a place get worse..........

Dr. Cheng is the best! BUT.... getting an appointment to see him it's like pulling teeth. The office is run very badly. If I need to see my doctor then I need to see him within the next two or three days not the next two or three weeks. I can't wait that long.

Both doctor Truong and doctor Jere O'Brien were amazing! My 12 year daughter saw Dr O'Brien (pediatrician) and she is probably the best pediatrician we've ever visited! Very experienced and genuinely cares! Thank you!

Great place.... But I find very disappointing that they DON'T HAVE THE EQUIPMENT FOR ULTRASOUND!!!!!!!! I come here for my prenatal visits but I have to either drive many miles to go to the one on Maricopa or pay extra money to get the ULTRASOUND done at another place....... To me that is very DISAPPOINTING. ??

Public beware, Banner Health scheduling trained to lie to patients and push appointments with nurse practitioners/midwives. I always ask to be scheduled with a medical doctor (MD/DO). Every time I am scheduled with either a nurse practitioner or midwife and reassured by the scheduler this is a medically trained physician. Deceiving the public is wrong on so many accounts but deceiving a fellow physician is ethically and morally wrong Banner Health. Patients have the right to request who they want to see and should not be lied to.

I went to go see Dr. Truong today and I had a wonderful experience. I go there a few minutes late because I had gone to the hospital part in error. When I got to the office they said I had been canceled due to no show. I explained to them what happened, the front office assistant was able to still get me in. When I met Dr. Truong he was very through and went through my medical background and addressed every question I had. He listened and asked me follow up questions to any flags he saw. He took his time with me and I am so happy with my service. I definitely recommend him in anyone is in the market for a new PCP. He is wonderful!

What started out as a bad day turned into a fantastic one . I had to drive to Banner yesterday afternoon to take my dad for his 1:00 appointment.Once we arrived we were told his appointment was for 8:15 . The woman @ the front desk was very helpful trying to correct the problem. She made a few phone calls to try to correct this mishap. Then we we’re introduced to Navonna. Navonna & the woman @ the front desk went far & beyond out of their way to get the problem solved which they did with great success. It was worth the wait. I’m sorry I didn’t get the woman’s name that first helped me @ the front desk , but I would Ike to thank Her & Navonna for the best customer service I’ve received since moving to Az 12 years ago. And a special thank you to Dr Ola -Oluwakiti Alabi. I had to bring my father back to the Dr this morning Nov.16th ,2022 and was able to to find out the other young lady who helped me with my dad a few months ago .Juanita & Navonna are two special employees . My dad and I appreciate your passion thanks lady’s

I visited the Banner Health GI clinic and scheduled two procedures to be performed 3 months later. Banner waited to submit the preauthorization until two weeks prior to my procedure. When one of the procedures was denied by my insurance, I contacted them multiple times to try and get the issue resolved. The staff was condescending, told me on more than one occasion that I could just pay out of pocket, and finally they REFUSED to complete a phone call with my insurance company as requested to have the procedure authorized. Pat from told me that “insurance would deny it anyway”. But did not bother to try. Complete lack of empathy or compassion and entirely negligent behavior!!

This clinic DOESN’T care if your important prescriptions run out and you need them refilled to prevent a serious health issue. They will take their time getting back to you, if at all. They will ignore your portal messages or take weeks to respond, again, if at all. There are much better clinics out there - don’t waste your time here. I just cancelled any future appointments with this clinic and have now found a new provider. First, the positives regarding this clinic which I always found to be consistent: Friendly, courteous, & helpful staff, short waiting room times (but long exam room waiting times), and clean. However, the few positives weren’t enough to outweigh all of the negatives. The most recent situation was the last straw for me. Long story short, tried to have a couple of prescriptions filled at the pharmacy, one of them a BP med. I’m waiting days, and then the pharm tells me they sent a couple of requests to Banner, but haven’t received a response. I call Banner and they tell me they didn’t receive anything (which has never happened before) and they’d forward my message high priority. Soon, I get a portal message stating that I need to verify one of the meds in order for them to proceed. I reply with verification and get no response. A couple of more days go by, meanwhile my BP is increasing. So, I call the clinic again and I’m told they won’t refill anything unless I make another appointment! What?! I’m within the timeframe of my last exam. That had never happened to me before, ever, with my usual provider, but they are out on leave and so I guess patients get ignored and have prescriptions held over their heads until they make more appointments. Well, that move backfired because they lost another unhappy patient and get no $$ in their wallet. I made a priority appt. within 24 hrs. with a new, highly recommended provider, so I’m good. Negatives I’ve noted with this clinic: Providers can be insensitive, ignore and/or not really listen or research/offer alternatives to care if the patient would like to make a change or adjustment. Long wait times in exam rooms. Prescription refills will be delayed, ignored, or discontinued without warning or any communication (even if abiding by timeframe of necessary follow-ups/check-ups/exams, etc.).

Dr. Kesara is hands down the best Dr. I ever had. His nurses are awesome as well. The check in staff needs work. I never feel comfortable with them. It's like they don't want to help you nor want to be there. It's like that all the time.

I waited for over an hour with no communication from the staff. When I finally got fed up and decided to leave, I asked about making an appointment for a later date, the offered no solutions. Don't waste your time or money. Only go here if you have all day to sit around and wait for them to get their act together. Total amateurs.

I decided to change PCPs, and did my research and found Dr. Hosten-Blackmond. I thought I had found a great fit, and scheduled my appointment online. I received my appointment confirmation which did not provide instructions to arrive 30 minutes early. I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment and completed all necessary paperwork. My appointment was scheduled for 4:20pm and at 5:00pm my name was called, I was advised I would need to reschedule since I didn’t arrive 30 minutes before my appointment. I questioned why I wasn’t told this upon arrival instead of having me sit for an hour. They stated the staff in the back doesn’t receive the exact times that are recorded at the front desk. The back staff member did apologize, and rescheduled my appointment for Friday. The front staff apologized as well and stated she didn’t understand why they operated that way. After leaving I realized that if a doctor refuses to see me although my paperwork was turned in prior to my appointment time, that is not the type of doctor I can trust with my medical care. I will be canceling my appointment, and locating another provider outside of the Banner network.

What an incredibly frustrating process. Looking for a doctor through their website that is taking new patients. Found several listed on the website that are taking new patients. Call to make an appointment and all doctors listed as taking new patients on Banner's website are mysteriously now not taking new patients. The call center people are so uncaring and unprofessional - beyond dry and almost rude. Banner is building a big new hospital in town and they cannot even handle the volume of patients they have it seem let alone the new patients that will be coming when the new facility is built. What are you doing Banner? Why is your system so poorly managed? I see tons of negative reviews about this location but no one seems to be doing anything to correct the problems. I truly cannot stand dignity health but seem that is my only other option and guess what --- their system actually works. I had such high hopes for Banner.

The staff is amazing. This was my first time and I am definitely planning to have this location as my primary health clinic. The doctor Albert Hsia was super friendly, funny, easy going, kind and understanding. Him and his helper made me feel relax and comfortable. I had the best experience I have ever had in the medical system.

Don't waste your time and money. I verified with the office staff twice that they were covered by my insurance and paid my copay at my appointment only to receive a $400 bill from them. I was prescribed medication during my appointment but it was never submitted to my pharmacy and when I called the health center the day after and then again a week later and they had no idea what I was talking about. I ended up driving down to the office and waiting about a half hour for them to work it out and send my scripts to my pharmacy. I then had an allergic reaction to my medication. I called the office and they transferred me to a triage nurse who then set up an appointment with the PA since my doc was unavailable, even for emergencies, but the office called an hour later to cancel it because they double booked me.

Dr. Albee Hsia is an amazing young doctor who we have been seeing for many years. He is compassionate and truly cares about his patients. It is very rare to find a doctor who listens and helps you arrive at a diagnosis and addresses options. Great guy, great bedside manner and a good diagnostician. I am happy to have him as my PCP and on my medical team. The world needs more doctors like Doctor Hsia.

Everyone is on vacation! There are not enough providers on the schedule. Everybody is super over booked and there are no openings. I called 2 min after opening (7am) and there are 0 Providers available across all clinics...for days and days and days. I get that it's Christmas in 5 days but it's totally unacceptable that Nurse Christine decided to go home early (8am) when she was the only appointment open for the next 10 days out of all the Banner clinics in the South & East Valley. Every location has only one doctor on no doctors for the next 2 weeks and they are booked solid. They won't even let me wait standby. Banner is broken.

Absolutely couldn't be happier!! I'm not a fan of doctors, or hospitals, or anything like that. But, I have to say. If, God forbid, you find yourself needing care from professionals who do care, this is the place! I suffer from p.t.s.d. fro. A stay in the hospital. So I have a phobia now. These wonderful folks take that overwhelming fear away, I trust them like I would my own family.

Worst experience at this location. We saw Selin Philips and she was the worst. She checked my daughters ears and my daughter started crying and this lady says “ It’s enough you can stop crying “ my daughter is 17 months old and wasn’t feeling good. You would think as a provider for children she would have the patience . She was very rude . I would recommend everyone to read reviews before seeing her. No wonder she’s rated a 3 star . Definitely do NOT recommend going here for care .

I have been to Banner twice in the last couple weeks to see Dr. Horwitz and Dr. Zehring. Check ins were prompt and flawless and saw them both at the scheduled times. Both doctors listened to my concerns and felt comfortable with their suggestions related to muscle spasms I’ve been experiencing. Would definitely recommend and appreciate their help in getting the care needed.

Dr. Truong is undoubtedly one of the most caring, kind and compassionate doctors, unlike any other. He diligently goes to great lengths to provide the best care possible for my dad, with patience and grace. He is trusting and true to his profession to help patients. We always feel at ease when Dr. Truong walks into the room, as he evidently works tirelessly to address any concerns we might have, on any given day, no matter the circumstances. His reassuring and caring nature helps us to feel at ease and in good care, and I find a sense of comfort in knowing that my dad's best interests are and will always be at heart.

BANNER HEALTH CENTER DOESN'T CARE. NEED URGENT ASSISTANCE?? GO ELSEWHERE. Customer service is awful. You need a prescription sent? Prepare to ask 4x to only have them jack you around. Asked many times over a week to send a prescription refilll - this happened multiple occasions over many prescriptions and they never followed up. I, as the customer, had to keep contacting them. COMMUNICATION IS POOR. If you can find a better provider with faster response time, DO IT. BANNER HEALTH CENTER DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ITS PATIENTS!

I went in for my wellness exam. I wanted to try this facility since they are a half a block from my home. During the 3 minute exam I asked the Dr to take a look at bump on my hand, which he spent 5 seconds feeling it. Then half a minute explaining what it was. Since this was out of the scope of the so called wellness exam they tried to charge me $140 for the appt. When I argued they tried to blame it on the insurance company setting the scope of service. I will not be going back since my regular Dr is genuinely concerned about my well being and not as concerned about padding his wallet.

The experience I had at Dr. Ryan Neeley's office was great. The staff cared about my health and privacy. Dr. Neeley showed me great respect, cared about the problems I was having with my right shoulder. He provided some options for me on how to take care of my shoulder. I took the route of getting the cortizone shot in my shoulder. It really feels great. He left the door open for me if I continue to have issues with my shoulder. I would recommend anyone that needs to see a Orthopedist please visit Dr. Ryan Neeley's office. You will not go wrong. :-)

Waited over 3 hours at banner Alma School only one patient came out in 3 hours. When I inquired I was told all 6 rooms were still filled and it could be another 2 hours I asked why they were so understaffed the receptionist had no answers an was unwilling to assist in anyway!!! The kiosk said it would be a 55 minute wait. WRONG!! **** Update banner health you suck! After waiting 3 hours I asked the receptionist to see if there was another banner health that was open and what the wait time was. She refused to assist and told me we could go elsewhere no help what so ever! We ended up at minute clinic a mile away just as they were closing.. Took us in no problem... Best visit ever with new Dr referrals and great medical care!!! Want great service and a great Dr. Go see Danielle and Kyle at minute clinic on Germaine and Dobson.. Stay away from banner!!

I am a new patient of Dr Truongs. I wish more Doctors were like him! We talked for quite a bit and had a few laughs and I left there feeling like I was in good hands. I haven't felt like that in a long time. It's a scary thing when you don't trust your doctor!

The receptionist or the person i talked to on the phone tells me they don't have any appointments for same day. Dr. Frank is an excellent Doctor. Dr. Frank says he was available on the day I wanted to do the appointment when I met him. I guess the people on the phone have to make sure they say the right thing. This location is perfect near my house and near my pharmacy.

Great clinic and staff; however, a lot of confusion in regard to prescriptions. We relocated from Wisconsin and I provided a list of my mother-in-law's prescriptions to her new primary physician for her chart. I was told all of her scrips would be sent to our local pharmacy. I have had to call the clinic numerous times because each time I try to have a new med refilled, the pharmacy has not received the prescription. I like to make one trip to the pharmacy, and having to get refills piece-meal is frustrating.

Have been calling for antihypertensive and diabetes meds for over 5 days, office kept on saying they will send the prescriptions to the pharmacy but never did. I was even told that the “MA” will give me a call but no one has ever called back. I had established my med list with PCP with them for over 3 weeks ago but was only told that the scripts “will be sent to the pharmacy”. Definitely unsafe practice, the people I have spoken with failed to appreciate the gravity of the situation and kept putting the issue aside saying “someone will call you” or “the MA will call you back”.

Dr. Frank is a wonderful doctor....however I always seem to have trouble having my prescriptions filled. I have called them in 2 days in advance like it suggests on the container, so that the pharmacy gives time to contact my dr, presumably, and I won't be without meds. I have been waiting over a week for the pharmacy to fill it, but they haven't gotten the ok from my dr yet. I don't know if he just hasn't called them in yet or if the clinic staff has never notified him that I need a refill. I have tried to contact the clinic these last two days but have been put on hold for a ridiculously long time only to have my call disconnected/hung up, TWICE! It should NOT take a week to get my meds, I am starting to feel terrible withdrawals. I am exremely disappointed with Banner for letting it go like this. And, this is not the first time I have had this issue. Thumbs down.

Dr. Frank Throung is one of the best Dr's I have ever been a patient of. He is friendly, thorough, and takes the time to know his patients. I have never had a Dr. that took the time to ask questions, and get to know you, before just medicating. I will continue to be a patient of his well into the future. Your front office staff could use some training. I wish they were a little more friendly when dealing with patients. They very rarely will even look up to say hi when you come in, and are very poor communicators. Thanks April

Very Disappointed with Banner! I went early Saturday morning to take my son who has Downs Syndrome to the Chandler clinic to get blood labs drawn. When we got there the lady at the desk who was very all by herself, pregnant and frustrated because she could not find any records or orders for blood work to be drawn on my son. Mind you I was very upset considering I had called the day before to make sure everything was ready set go for Saturday and I was told yes just show up and we will take care of him. Also they were supposed to have another person to help, again my son has Downs Syndrome! So after waiting all that time not to mention the inconvenience to us, we had to leave because the lady who said she was just filling in at this office for the day could not find my sons lab orders! What a messed up situation and I am new to this state from Texas and have had a few upsets dealing with Banner. I am not happy at all! This is my sons health they are playing around with and I don't appreciate it one bit! Something needs to be done!

Christina Joyave is a caring, knowledgeable, and overall extraordinary provider. She provides outstanding care and takes extreme pride in her work. There has never been an issue with medication sent to pharmacy or orders that she writes, yet makes herself readily available for you to contact her if there does happen to be an issue. I would highly recommend her. My only concern with this clinic is that I do not see much diversity. I get anxious even thinking about going to the doctor, so to have someone of a different ethnicity present at the front desk would make me feel more confortable.

Terrible service, I am an out of town patient and have been advised twice of an appointment and procedure. Not only was it an inconvenience to drive 2 hours twice to an appointment that would not take place as the Dr needed to reschedule, but the office and office coordinator had no sympathy nor did they apologize for the inconvenience. I had confirmed both appointments and drove to be turned away. The second time I got as far as prepping for the procedure. Then being told the Dr would not be in. I have left 2 messages to review a small balance that I thought was a slap in the face after my two complaints. The office coordinator told me it had to be paid and not waived. Not even for the inconvenience they caused or the travel time they had me waste on two occasions.

👍👍 When I arrived on Monday at 520pm, I checked in. Check in & all paper work was filled out online which made everything easy. It was busy, with 7 people ahead of me. It shows your position on the website in real time. The wait ended up being about 1 hr and 20 minutes. Once I got back with the staff,...

😠 Alan Bracher did my colonoscopy on 8.4.22. 😠 Admittedly there were only two people in the urgent care other than me but they got me in after about 20 minutes so as far as urgent care goes it's pretty good. The tech was nice.
