We tries the soup combo with the cabbage roll and the #1combo with the perogies. The Borscht soup was great and not what I thought it would be. The tomato dip for the perogies was so good we used it on our other dishes as well. Great service and we will be back 👍 😀 🙌 We came back again and got the Borscht with the sausage roll. Awesome!!

Absolutely amazing food! The staff is friendly and helpful. My favorites were the cabbage ball, dumplings, and smoked sausage, but it was all great. Can’t wait to go back.

Fast and delicious! ❤ Very good prices. Great selections for everybody. Very clean and beautiful location. The views out of the windows are phenomenal. 😍 Bonus: they give you 4% off if you pay with cash! 🤑 We got combo #1, cherry vareniki (boiled of course), hearty chicken bouillon. Very happy with everything!

Incredible hidden Gem in North Phoenix. First, the staff was amazing. When ordering I told them I’d never had Ukrainian food before. After that they checked on me constantly and asked my thoughts on everything I tried. For the food, everything I ate was great! I loved that they had Ukrainian beer, it made the meal feel even more authentic. The sausages, cabbage roll, and piergori were my favorite and I could have easily eaten 20 piergoris, they were that good. I didn’t know what I was missing by not having Ukrainian food but will not go this long without it again. This is an adorable small business that puts so much love into their food and I will definitely be back.

Ukrainian food just like grandma used to make. Good selection of traditional foods like pierogies, potato pancakes, sauerkraut and borscht. As a vegetarian I ate the marinaded cabbage. Huge bowl. They have other vegetarian options like stewed vegetables and salads.

I had a great meal here!!! On my recent visit I had the Hunter Stew. It was full of beef and potatoes when was season very well came with a side of bread. I also try the sausage which is very flavorful and had a hint of spice. The service was friendly and offered a sample of the borscht. I highly recommend this place!

My dining partner is part Polish and I was hoping that we might find food like "his mother and grandmother used to make". He is very shy on compliments but ate every drop of soup, every morsel of perogie smoothered in bacon/onions/sour cream and sampled a little of my pork with cherry sauce and baby potatoes! He agrees that we should drop by again and try a few more dishes. I think that he was very happy. He claimed that he had never tried Borshch soup before but I had (on a couple of trips to Russia and Estonia) and the spoonful I tried was really good! This is a "family owned" restaurant with a few booths and tables. You order at the counter but they served us at our table. The curtains were quite decorative and reminded me of some of the colorful shirts worn in Eastern European countries. All in all, this was a truly delightful experience. On a hot and humid summer day in Phoenix, it was nice to have someone else cook this kind of cuisine instead of cooking soup for hours at home!

Update: Definitely try the stuffed cabbage rolls. Best I've had EVER. Lots of love in every dish. Excellent Hunters Stew. Meat is very tender. Great flavor. Pierogies were excellent. Definitely some of the best Eastern European food I've had in USA. Definitely returning. Owner was great as well.

This place is a European GEM! I was born in Poland and this is a true taste of home. The food is incredible and that says a lot because my mom was a great cook. I highly recommend bringing a group friends and ordering many different dishes - “family style” to try a few staples. Enjoy!

I had eaten Soup & Sausage food during the pandemic via delivery, but this was my first in-person visit. This is a small place and not fancy but don't let that fool you. Their menu is filled with Eastern European dishes freshly prepared when you order. My husband enjoyed the sausage & potato pancake combo. My friend tried a stuffed sandwich that she raved about. And my other friend & I ordered the chicken schnitzel which came with 1 side. She ordered the potatoes and I went with their braised sauerkraut. The chicken was seasoned just right...and the sauerkraut was AMAZING!!! We ordered a slice of Ukrainian cake on their menu. I was told that it comes from a bakery in the Ukraine. It was very different from our American type of moist cakes, having a much drier texture. We were glad to support a Ukrainian bakery trying to survive during the current war & turmoil.. You will not be disappointed in your meal at Soup & Sausage Bistro. I hope you have the pleasure of being greeted by Fatima. She took our order and served our food. A delightful young lady.

Absolutely delicious. Very authentic and affordable. We called ahead for takeout and tried the sausage, potato pancakes, peroggies, beef cabbage roll, and chicken soup all for under 50 bucks. Every single item was outstanding. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

Really good, authentic food. Counter service. Pretty unique food at least for me. The Italian sausage is delicious and some of the best around in my opinion as an Italian American. The sausage is cooked to order and served hot, juicy, and extremely tasty. The sausage plate came with the baby boiled potatoes. The potatoes are a simple, but fantastic dish. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and complemented by the herbs and touch of butter. The chicken soup was okay. It was a little bland. I probably would not order the chicken soup again because they have much better soups. The dumplings are fantastic. A large portion size of just deliciousness. The place could be a little cleaner and could change the dirty ceiling tiles. However, the quality of the food overrides the negatives. I will definitely visit this place again.

Hunter stew and chicken soup are fantastic. Stew is a bit salty and the bread was dry. Great selection of imported beers. Definitely has the homemade taste to it. Will return and get a real Bock beer. Soup portions are huge

This place is so damn good. After several visits, I decided to finally share my review. The main advantage is their authenticity. Whatever you will order, it would be fresh made right on the spot. That being said, sometimes you will need to wait 10-15 minutes for your food to be ready, but believe me, it is worthy. I have tried more than 2/3 of their menu and I have not find anything which I would not like. It is mostly the Eastern European style of food originated in Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia or Hungary. Not only it reminds me my childhood and my grandma cooking, but it also good from the nutritional perspective. And healthy! Well, healthy quite depends on what you order, but you have so many great options here, that you certainly cannot go wrong :)

With my first spoonful of soup, I was back in Ukraine. It brought tears to my eyes. The interior is nothing special, but it reminded me of little restaurants in Kyiv and Chernihov, so maybe five stars for atmosphere would be right.

I would give this restaurant endless stars if I could. Absolutely incredible, flavorful, heartwarming food. I was having a hard day yesterday and needed some comfort food and I knew to run straight here. We have been here several times and have tried many things from the menu and everything has always been delicious. My favorite is their pelmeni pork dumplings! You have to try them! They give you such a generous portion and is enough to take home and enjoy the next day all over again. I love you Soup and Sausage Bistro! Thank you for making my day yesterday and always

FANTASTIC food! I went with my grandma and brother. My brother got the Hunter Soup which reminded me of the food my mom made at home! I got the sausage and sauerkraut. The sausage was cooked perfectly, with a nice crisp bite and juicy center. The smoked sauerkraut was a hefty serving, but i couldn't stop eating it! Only downside is it is a little pricey, but other than that it's great :)

We just discovered this place. Absolutely amazing. I needed comfort food, and this more than fit the bill. The hunters stew is delicious, the pierogies are fluffy and tasty. we tried a couple different soups. I can’t say enough about how good this food was!! We will be visiting often!

Was looking for some good home comfort food. Best beef cabbage rolls I've ever had. Don't tell my grandma 🤫 This will be our new favorite place. Also the cake is the best. Hazelnut is my husband's favorite. Thank you for a very enjoyable date night dinner. Looking forward to trying more delicious meals our next night in.

Authentic Eastern European cuisine in Moon Valley. My Ukrainian wife and I tried some of the traditional dishes, like borscht and pierogis and were both agreed that the taste rivaled the kitchen table in a Slavic home. A meager location, hole in the wall kind of place.

  • 5/5 Ken B. 2 months ago on Google New
So the wife and I drove over here based on some of the reviews that we saw, and the fact we wanted to try something different. All I can say is I am so glad we drove the 60 miles here. Well worth the trip. I had the hunters Stew and it was just packed full of meat as you can see from the picture, and the taste was superb and oh so tender. The meat just broke apart with a fork. The pork Stew that my wife had was packed full of flavors, although I am not a fan of cabbage, this is definitely something I would order and eat. As for the pan fried parodies. They were cooked perfectly. They let you order a half order of these if needed, like we did. There server was very friendly and always checking on us making sure everything was done properly and that our glasses were full even though we only had water. I would definitely make the hour plus trip to come back here again.

Soup & Sausage bistro is a god send in the PHX area, especially being an option on Uber Eats. Their pierogis are stellar, and they have a great menu with other central and Eastern European foods. Also, I cannot recommend the Pelmeni more. Amazing stuff all around.

Tiny Ukrainian restaurant with outstanding sausages! And I mean outstanding. Tight snap on the casing follow by a dribble of warm fat and juices as you bite in... I had the kabanosy and sauteed sauerkraut. This was my first of what is sure to be many visits. Great Eastern European beer selection as well.

  • 5/5 Mary N. 3 years ago on Google
This is great comfort food especially in these times and you can even get fresh veggies! Just click on order w/GrubHub and you'll get it fast with no contact! And the pork cabbage rolls and stewed sauerkraut are so so good!! Also impressed with the small packaging for each item! I got 4 items, pd $39, including tip. For a single person the amount you get can be for 2 - 4 or more meals.

  • 5/5 Mona D. 3 years ago on Google
Today I ordered the stewed saukraut and the pork cabbage rolls along with the solyanka soup. Once again it was heaven! The flavors came thru with every bite that I just wanted more. I've never had a bad experience there. I just wished they were on the west side of the valley close to me so I can visit more often. I am also very happy to see that they were able to stay in business dureing this time when everyone else seems to be closing. Their food is always hot and flavorful. Yummy! Yummy! Yummy!

The only problem is that the price is too high. Ordered the alare carte with 9pm reservations. Still cost $150. The tempura style is very closed to the traditional style. If you do not want the omakase, you should ordered alare carte by your self. The mushroom is very good. Street parking is easy to find after 7pm.

Wonderful food. I'm American with a very American pallet for taste, so I'm always nervous trying new cuisine. I got the Borscht and it was one of the best soups I've ever had in my live. Wonderful flavor. Also had their beef dumplings (forgot name) and they were amazing as well. If you live by give them a chance, you wont be disappointed.

Super place to meet and chat with coworkers. I had a brother come into town and he asked me to go back here. The prices are well within reason for the quality. Like a restaurant in Washington I liked.

Whenever friends come from out of town, I always take them here. Parking isn't tooooo bad, if you get lucky, you'll be able to find parking in front of the store, but if not, there's plenty of street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Excuse me, how can a restaurant this delicious even exist? Literally the only complaint I have is that it filled me up and I couldn't eat more! The sausages were FANTASTIC and the Solyanka was the best soup I think I've ever had. Also, those fries? WOW! Everything was clean inside and the staff was super friendly! I'll definitely be coming here again!

Great reviews and wanting to try something new. Tried the Hunter's Stew, Solyanka and a sausage baked in a roll. Stew and soup were very good... sausage roll was as described, a link baked in dough... So... food was decent but didn't live up to hype from other reviews. 3 stars??? Not too crowded, one person ahead to order... 45 minutes from order till food arrived at table. I don't get it... soup... stew... 45 minutes??? A new experience I won't need to repeat.
