My wife had the big dipper, I had 2 slices of sausage and pepperoni pizza. So, if you tell them to give you a second because it's your first time. They ring a bell. Don't get used to it. It's just for the first timers. The pizza was some of the best I've ever had! That sauce is amazing! The big dipper was a little salty for me, but my wife enjoyed it! I wish we would have known about this before but a new go-to!

Looking for that small mom and pop chain that always has good food? You found it! When I moved into the neighborhood years ago we found this gem and fell in love. Small shop in a small strip mall with a great menu and even greater staff. You become part of the crew,they get to know your name and your orders before you say a word. The pizza is delicious,it had its own taste, nothing to compare to. Never been a fan of salad but I love the fresh and crispy salad they offer ( not once have I ever had wilted/soft veggies like some BIG chains). Love their wings and the jumbo homemade cookies.FYI: It does get packed during lunch time but they move through the crowds ASAP. Also they have a limited delivery zone. You gotta try it their 4.7+ rating is proof.

This was my 1st time here, After hearing multiple people recommend this place. I ordered: "The butcher" The specialty pizzas are $25 each for the large. The toppings were stacked so deep, You couldn't even see crust, and 2 hands was mandatory to prevent the pizza from bending and spilling all the toppings. I also ordered the 12 piece hot wings, Which are $1 a wing. Although the pizza and wings were great, I don't think ill be buying it again, Because that price, for me, is a bit steep.

This place came to my attention from a published list of "Highest-Rated Cheap Eats in Phoenix" and had to go check it out. Had it not been on that list, I would have never found it. It's a tiny spot tucked in a small plaza on Northern which makes it difficult to see if you weren't looking for it. It is, as they claim, a typical neighborhood pizza joint. A handful of tables and a selection of full pizzas, slice combos, sandwiches, and other items. We ordered some slices and an Italian sub. The slices were very large with lots of sausage and pretty typical of a NY style pie. They were reheated a bit too dark and crispy, but we're still very good. The sub was also like you would find in NY/NJ and was very good. We were there at lunch time and it was lively with a good vibe. No table service and nothing too fancy. The staff was busy and very pleasant. We may stop back in to order a fresh whole pizza. Pretty sure it will be excellent. Perfect lunch spot if you're in the hood. And yes, cheap too!

It was our first time to visit Stumpy's. The moment we walked in we were greeted! Everyone was very nice and they recommended some of their most popular items to help us decide. The pizza was delicious and loaded with toppings! The crust is the perfect thickness too. I recommend the meatballs which is an order of 4 handmade meatballs covered in sauce and cheese. We're looking forward to visit Stumpy's again soon!

I ordered delivery to my hotel room 2X during my short stay in Phoenix and BOTH times the customer service was on-point and the food was even better! Stumpy's has an absolutely incredible crust that is reminiscent of a true Neapolitan Pizza (sans the black blisters). Great flavor development, great chew, nice and thin in the middle with a built-in, airy/puffy bread stick around the edge:). The first order they stopped my order in its tracks just because they put black olives on my pizza instead of the green olives I had ordered. They swiftly remade it and had it delivered to me in minutes (great recovery). The toppings are much heavier than a Neapolitan pizza, but delicious just the same. My preference is for a heavier sauce profile, so I order a side of Marinara on the side to dip in. Makes it absolutely perfect. The Basic salad is also stupid-simple and uber-fresh. Nice mix of peppers, onions, olives, mushrooms, tomatoes and greens. I will add that it's not the cheapest pizza in town, but it shouldn't be. Worth every delicious bite. I am a chef, restaurateur who has been in the business almost 40 years. This is the real deal. I can't wait to come back down to Phoenix for more corporate "training" so I can have Stumpy's again! How messed-up is that?

One of the absolute greatest pizza shops in Phoenix. The crust is perfectly crispy and chewy. Sauce and cheese are well balanced and it's possible to eat an entire pie because it's just so good. Wings, subs, and other items consistently deliver. Grab a canoli on your way out.

Pizza wasn't cooked. Had way too much sauce and cheese on it, therefore the dough didn't rise. It was so raw that it made both my grandfather and I sick later that night.

7/9/20 This place has usually been god tier but the past 2 times have been incredibly disappointing. The pizza is undercooked, wet, and floppy and everything just falls off. It DID NOT used to be like that. I pray this is a fluke and not the new norm.

My favorite small business neighborhood pizza joint in Phoenix! Stumpy's has been feeding my family for 20 years strong. Pizza always consistently great - nice chewy crust and generous helpings of cheese, sauce and toppings (our favorite is fresh basil). Wings are cooked through which should be standard but often wings are undercooked at other restaurants but not at Stumpy's. Salads are ok. Rarely order anything else but pizza and wings but on occasion order sandwiches - very tasty! I think their secret is fresh meats and good rolls - chewy not fluffy like Wonder bread. Pleased to see Stumpy's thriving as the owners have worked their butts off -

Pizza was way too oily for the $45 for the "family feast. Soda was not cold when it came from the fountain. Only thing that was some what worth the price was the wings. Dont go for the pizza.

I ordered online and tip is automatically added and can not be taken off. I always tip but if it is added to the bill automatically that's not a tip that's the food costing more but being listed on the menu as such. Food is good.

An expansive choice of flavor combinations, with sandwiches that are too good not to try. If you like pizza, Stumpies is a consistently great choice. If you like hot subs, try their club, pastrami, or tuna. A personal favorite for both, and I'd recommend it for anyone.

We had the best pizza last night! We had their Pepperoni and chicken, and it was all tasty! They made their own pizza crust and sauces, that what's make them special and unique to other pizza parlors in the city. Their chicken was not too oily, and we love the crunchiness of it. Looking forward to coming back here and have again their pizza and chicken. They're the best!

The BEST GARLIC CHEESE BREAD in town. I was a little disappointed on my last visit. My favorite part of the Pie is the sauce because I'm not in N.Y. enjoying the dough because of the WATER from up state. And Yes for the people from Chi-town. The Brussels sprouts are cooked well and packed with flavor and sharp cheese, which is my new favorite now from this Italian restaurant. The food that I ordered gets along with the red wine. I LOVE the food!! But for crying out loud, if you tell me it's going to be 20 minutes when I order online please be accurate. I've ordered multiple times and you've never once had the order ready when I arrive at the approximated time. I understand a little difference but 20 to 30 minutes more? This has happened every single time I've ordered. Maybe it's time to face facts and move to a larger space and hire more people to handle the volume? At some point I'm going to have to stop coming and just order somewhere else. And this last time my sandwich was made incorrectly, which you told me about, and I said was ok, but then I watched it sit on top of your oven for 20 minutes while you made 6 wings to finish my order??!! Why not make the sandwich correctly in that same 20 minutes? This, btw, is on top of the already estimated 35 minute make time. So by the time I get home it's been over an hour since I ordered and my incorrectly made hot sandwich is now cold. Like I said the food is GREAT but this is almost getting to be too much. It's becoming an exercise of frustration every time I order. (BTW, did you ever reverse the double charge on my card from a few weeks ago? I didn't check because I trusted you when you said you would but now I wonder).

Best pizza crust! If they made the cust into bread sticks, I'd buy them by the dozen, maybe with some marinara sauce on the side. Its always packed, the music is old school rock - so love it for what it is, eat it and beat it. My 17 yr old is lovin' all the old music.😜 Nothing ordinary about it.

So my Husband and I wanted to try this place because it came highly recommended by a friend. My husband had played golf in the neighborhood of Stumpy’s so he decided to stop in try it for the first time. It’s important to know that my Husband ordered in person. The order was verified at the cashier and they still made our order wrong. My husband is so trusting and he never thought to check our simple order of two subs. He drove all the way home, opened the bag with excitement and found both our sub sandwiches were made wrong. I called immediately and asked to speak to the manager. Told him what happened and asked for a refund. He couldn’t refund us but he assured me his manager would call me. About 30 minutes later the actual manager called and he promised that the owner would call Monday 1/18/21 to refund our money. I wanted a refund mostly, because I could not eat the sandwich due to allergies and the sub being made wrong. Today is Tuesday 1/19/21 and we have not received a refund nor a phone called that was promised by the manager of the “Owner” who was to call. Lessoned learned... I would never recommend this place to anyone. You may consider Capriati’s instead. Stumpy’s doesn’t get your order right and they do not care about honoring the human word.

ok so I order from here 2 or 3 times a month and every single time I get my delivery, the food has been absolutely amazing. Today I ordered the "Big Dipper Sub" for the first time. OMG. I think I have figured out what spice they use in their food. It's called Magic :) Literally the best sandwich I may have ever had in my 52 years of eating. You would think it was just another "French dip" and well, it is but there is a flavor in there that is just magic. The meat was the most tender and they burn the edges of the bread to bring out that chard flavor. I am totally no longer hungry but if someone stuck another one in front of me I would probably attempt to eat it anyway. It is that good.

I am so glad we finally tried our neighborhood pizza place. Stumpy's pizza is amazing.....the hand-tossed dough is light and delicious, the "butcher" pizza is meaty but not heavy and their side salad has all the fresh and right ingredients for a delicious salad. Yum.

Fantastic restaurant! We didn’t book a table but only had to wait about 10 mins to be seated. The service was warm and friendly as soon as we walked in the door. The food was great, as expected. We got pizza, mozzarella sticks, and cheesecake. All were very good. It was very busy and affordable. We will definitely come back!

Hole in the wall joint. Not a lot of seating & often enough the parking spots are limited. At least when I've gone during lunchtime. Little pricey but the atmosphere & pizza is good. Medium drink with two slices & two toppings will cost you $10.50. Bathroom is in the back.

Saw this place and just had to check it out! The pizza was amazing and the service was fantastic! The staff really know their regulars and even greet them by name! This tiny pizza place really takes care of their staff and community, with customers artwork hung on the walls and pizzas flying out the door, even on a Tuesday! I will definitely be coming back!

I have to say it's the best pizza I've ever had and I am a Pizza connoisseur. I go to a different pizza place to try pizza every other week this is a mad awesome pizza place. The crust is like to die for, you don't have to know through this one it's just the right texture just light and crispy with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. By the way you can taste the freshness in the sauce, it's notable for sure I mean there's not a time that I've gone there since not been good and they're so friendly! If you're a pizza lover and you want a great experience order and meat lovers it's got a lot of meat guys! The pepperoni is I'm just going to say I don't think they have anything bad here!

Pizza and wings. Very good! Only issue was the place got slammed when we sat down. They do a lot of delivery and pick up business. So it took a while to get to our order. But the food and service was great despite the crowd! We were there on a Friday night. You know, some places can't handle the business and the food quality suffers...not here! I like the place...yep.

Co-worker introduced me to this spot, I had to try the authentic meatball and it didn't disappoint. The sauce is fresh and the meatballs and cheese are flavorful. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner! It won't break the bank either.

I went there for the first time after a hike at the phoenix preserve and was not disappointed! I got a large pizza with 24 wings (hot and mild) and their bread sticks. All off of the above were amazing, literally no complaints. The bread sticks have this seasoning on them that really makes it all the better. Staff were friendly and best of all the price was right on point! Doesn't get better. I'll be coming back for sure!

This is a good hole in the wall pizza shop. They have good quality, and consistent pies. We used to order a lot more from here and even for smaller house parties. The staff are all great and always friendly and super fast. My only gripe is, and maybe from the pandemic, but they have much more limited hours now. I’d come more as I used to if they were open more weekend hours and all. But even with that, great pizza and friendly and fast staff.

Our contractor turned us on to Stumpy’s Pizza last year. We usually order over the phone and pickup our order but they do have delivery service if you need it. On this occasion we decided to stop on our way home and ordered in person and waited. They always seem busy when we stop by although there were a few tables open this time. The pizza came out in the time you would expect for custom pizza by the slice. The service was great and they asked us if we wanted any cheese or hot pepper flakes before sending us on our way. The pizza was hot and fresh and we had plenty of napkins included!!

The atmosphere here is small but the restaurant is clean. The staff is attentive. I enjoy there two slice pizza combos, and there deserts rice crispy is amazing. I recommend you try this restaurant. They also sell subs and salads.

Tastes just as well as I remembered. I used to come here when I was in Boy Scouts. Amazing Pizza. Years later I came back and the pizza is still fantastic! The staff were amazing and patient despite making a large order right before closing. The Works Pizza had a great amount of toppings and there was even a good amount of cheese pull when grabbing your slice. The Wings were easily better than other chained pizza places. Overall their quality hasn't dropped since I was a child and it's worth giving this place a shot!
