A very very good sushi place. This is the first time visiting and so we ordered a lot of different types of sushi to be able to get an overall idea of the variety, quality and flavor of the food. Everything was very good and delicious. I recommend the geisha a go go and the rocket man(or something along those lines). But also even the basic rolls were very flavorful and well worth it. They have a happy hour from 3 to 7(I think) 7 days a week which is half off of the house rolls. The atmosphere in the place was great, music was not too loud and we managed to have a very good time and a pleasant conversation. Service was great, they were very quick and friendly. The one thing I would recommend to the staff(which is also why I am not giving you 5 stars) is to clean better. We entered first right after they opened and the table they seated us at was not clean at all. There were stains on it and it was sticky. Thing is it didn't even feel like the other tables were any better. I'm still happy we stayed, since this place was recommended to us, for the food was great but the dirtiness took a bit away from the experience. Anyhow thank you for the food service, we will definitely come back again.

Nice vibes! Great happy hour prices on drinks, appetizers, and rolls. I love the outdoor seating. I'm not a fan of the calamari, both the chicken lettuce wrap and salmon roll was on point.

Not worth the money for the food (not very good food). Poor service. Dirty bathrooms. They also don't wipe down their chairs (eek).

The “mask security” Wouldn’t allow us in without a mask to literally walk two steps to a table where the waitress dumped our paper menus where they flew to the floor and she walked off. We ordered a specialty roll that was $18 that was OK if I were trying to cover up mediocre frozen fish with jalapeños. it consisted of seared any old fish with jalapeño smothered In jalapeño. After analyzing the menu some more we realized everything was seared, meaning they didn’t have any REAL sushi. All the descriptions of the rolls were clearly written by the stoned 15 year old salad prep boys in tte back (“Must fight then EAT!!! FRITO SUSHI SAMURI!!!”). Overpowered by the jalapeño, left with ice to chew on for about 15 minutes, we decided our money was better spent at White Castle. The waitress returned with some new fan dangled credit card machine, which She seemed uninterested in taking my credit card yet wanted me to put my credit card into the black hole thing which on top of everything seemed impersonal as all hell and we were over it. Onwards to White Castle.

Awful service, hostesses and waitress just didn’t seem to care at all. Waited for 20 min to get a simple drink order, plus we ordered two coors and they came back after the long wait with only one and said “this is the only coors.” And dropped it at the table. Didn’t even seem to give a crud. The sake shots were awful, like straight fructose and no alcohol. Bloody marry tasted like straight shrimp cocktail sauce - worst I’ve ever had. If drinks were so awful I wouldn’t trust any food they serve. Not worth the wait, time, or money.

It was ok, we went there as a large group to do karaoke and their system wasn't great. It didn't have a lot of songs we wanted to sing, it messed up a lot and we had a couple technical difficulties with it being hooked up to the tv, as well as the mics didn't seem to be putting out any sound at all. I also think two hours for large parties isn't enough, especially for what we spent.

I just called to make a reservation for an engagement party of 8 people. It felt like she was trying to convince us not to come. She asked where I wanted to sit, I told her we preferred indoors. She mentioned a dessert fee for dining outdoors? Then told me there was a time limit on dining. Lol wow!! I think we'll pass.

Manager Jorie is horrible she attacked me after they offered us free drinks for moving our table 3 times then didn’t want to honor. Should never work in hospitality! You have one job babe! To be friendly :)

This was a really cool experience! It’s almost like a speakeasy for sushi! From what I understand, you must have a reservation or know someone to get in. When we got there it was roped off with a red carpet rope and a bouncer in front. We told him who we were coming to see and they came to get us and brought us to our table. The service was good, the waitress was attentive and everything came quickly. We ordered a few different sushi dishes which were all tasty as well as the mozzarella sticks. We also got a bottle of sake to share and it was really smooth! Potent, but flavorful and smooth. We went during happy hour so the prices were great too! I really liked the decor and there was pretty low lighting throughout. Next time I’d definitely like to try the karaoke!

Excellent spot for sushi and drinks, love the old style Japanese theme! Place gets busy so you may need to make reservations. Staff was super friendly and the waitress was sweet & reminded me of Rhianna ♥️. Will be back again!

When a party meets sushi it is Geisha a Go Go Sushi. Really fun spot. Happy hour is a happening scene. The staff is friendly and part of the fun vibe. The sushi is good but be prepared to be in a fun bar atmosphere with the other patrons.

Went here for a girls night out of karaoke. Got a large private room which was very nice. There were a total of 8 of us so we had a nice amount of space, don't think I'd actually book a small room as it looked teeny tiny in comparison. Staff that serviced room was cool however staff in front not the friendliest. Also room was not ready by reservation time and they are pretty strict about getting out on time or you'll get charged. Overall though had fun and will definitely try other places for karaoke.

The food was good but the experience with the server was not great. First of all, they wanted to charge us an outside dessert fee thinking we had a cake but it was a gift in a box….then people in our party were asking details of what types of sushi they had and she basically did not answer and told us to read the menu in a passive aggressive tone. It’s was a decent experience. Maybe she had a long night.

The food is always killer. The sushi rolls are amazing. My wife and I always get the curry noodles and they have excellent flavor. The drinks are tasty and unique.

Ate here with friends as they previously had a good experience. We ate on the patio. The restaurant has a casual feel. Staff was friendly. The drinks were creative and delicious! I was disappointed with the suishi. We ordered a few simple rolls and one 'specialty' roll. The over-priced 'specialty' roll was swimming in sauce(s). Overall the sushi was bland and looked mostly like rolls of white rice. I would have expected more given how much we paid for happy hour prices.

  • 5/5 Amanda H. 1 year ago on Google
My first time dining here and the sushi was very good. I enjoyed the flavored sake, too. Wait times were about 30 minutes during dinner. Take a walk around Old Town, and they text when your table is ready.

Came here for a bite to eat on a Saturday evening. It was a nice sat night so we sat at the outside bar. Wasn't too crowded so was expecting service to be a little smoother and quicker. The hostess said she would bring us menus once we were situated at the bar but she forgot. The bartender eventually notices us I'm guessing after 5-7min and asks if we want menus. That takes another 5min. Who I'm with orders the seaweed salad and a glass of wine I'm still a bit undecided and ask for a couple more min. About 10min go by mind you it's not busy and I decide to order the ooh kitty kitty roll. That's all I ordered. My friend is done with their salad and most of their wine is gone and I'm guessing it takes another 15-20min for me to get the sushi roll I was getting ready to cancel my order but it finally came out. The roll was tasty but the service was lacking this evening. I forgot to take pics

Went during happy hour. Worst sushi Ive ever had. My friends felt the same way, just poor quality. Drinks were good, service was great.

  • 5/5 Elizabeth A. 1 year ago on Google
The food here is very yummy. I love their happy hour. They have very nice outdoor seating, but they are super busy, so it crowded. They also tend to play the music too loud, so it's hard to hear your company. I still love going here often though!

What a total blast!!!!! We had such a good time in the small private karaoke rooms!! The food and service were outstanding!! The karaoke iPad was a little buggy; but it didn’t distract from our good time! Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for karaoke in Scottsdale!!!!

Been there for three times now. We like to grab their sushi during the happy hour. Their quality of fish is pretty good. We love their yellowtail roll, tuna roll, and veggie roll. Great amount of food for the price. Although we were not too impressed by the chicken potstickers. They tasted like some frozen gyoza full of additives. Go for their sushi, not their appetizers! Staffs are always nice there. Fast service, relaxed environment if you beat the crowd.

Reserved the large private room when visiting my girlfriend's family. Friendly and informed staff from making the reservation to checking out. Our large group had a great time and all enjoyed Sushi A Go Go.

  • 4/5 Jessica C. 6 months ago on Google
This place has been here forever! Sadly, the sushi i got last time tasted like something you get from Costco. However, the gyoza has always been really good. The bartender was not very attentive even though we were sitting right at the bar - he seemed downright annoyed to be doing his job. Other than that, we had an overall good experience. Atmosphere is always fun with good music

The karaoke app glitched multiple times and we lost at least 30 minutes of our reservation to technical difficulties. The staff was rude and acted like it was our fault that the machine didn’t work. They offered us no compensation and wouldn’t let us speak to a manager. When we finally spoke to a manager he was equally unhelpful. Would not return here for karaoke. Regarding the business’s response, we asked for help multiple times from staff from the beginning of our session. It should be their responsibility to consult with the manager if that is necessary. It is not acceptable to the business blame us for the malfunction of their technology. We understood and followed the instructions and still encountered multiple glitches with the app. It is clear from other customer reviews that we were not the only ones who have encountered issues with your technology. We were not offered any form of discount for the time lost due to technology issues and were lectured for not asking to speak to a manager when we were working with the staff continuously. If you are going to charge $125/hour for karaoke, you should invest in an application that works and offer better support to your customers, not try to blame them for your issues.

The expensive sushi is delicious. I went on Sunday and got the happy hour deals. Those rolls were bland and flavorless. They fish was fresh and well presented. They open at 3pm so get there at 255, so there is no wait, because it's 50% capacity.

    Girl manager is super rude

  • 1/5 Hannah H. 3 years ago on Google
I have NEVER had a more disappointing restaurant experience than at this place. They immediately were rude to ALL of our group when waiting for our table. They judged our group for absolutely no reason and could not offer an explanation. For those that were seated, the servers clearly were never trained on customer service. It was obvious they only wanted to serve certain people and a certain population. I've talked to multiple friends/family about this place, and they will not be back either as they had also already heard about their terrible service. Additionally, the times before this experience were not great either, the food/ambiance are only mediocre for the price, and the manager and other workers are the worst in the industry. The manager needs to be trained or retrained because she obviously doesn't know how to do her job and has probably never read a job description on management. Their inability to provide customer service is also evident in the responses provided to customers who rate them poorly. Amazing they're still open with so much better competition, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time! Go somewhere else, Diego Pops is right nextdoor, and they were amazing! Other sushi places in the area that we always have amazing experiences at and that have delicious food are: Hiro Sushi, Roka Akor, Sasaki, and Wok 'N Roll!

  • 1/5 Amanda J. 3 years ago on Google
I was really disappointed with the service and attitude of the workers. The food that was suppose to be hot was cold and it took forever to come out. In addition, while they include tip in the bill which is fine, they took it upon themselves to add an additional $10 tip on top of their tip to my bill without my permission. Rude and unprofessional... Their food is not good enough to support a night of awful service.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The food quality is amazing and so are the drinks. I recommend a Happy Hour visit so you can try multiple items and leave over-stuffed.
