Worst hospital ever!!!!!my Spouse was having an allergic reaction to a medication injection and they took 2 hours just to get her into a room then they had her sit in the room for 30min before checking her vitals..then what do they do? Have her fill out her own paperwork and registration....all this whole time she can't breath and they don't even bother to check on her...

After writing off symptoms, not listening or acknowledging my health conditions and allergic reactions, they were extremely condescending and sent me off with nothing but a swollen arm from the staff trying to “float” in my iv after they already blew the other vein. No less than 15 times, she was digging the iv into my arm, nowhere near the vein. The other nurse refused to listen, talked over us and put tape on me after she was alerted to my adhesive allergy. She said I’d “be fine” Had to go to another hospital to get diagnosed with potential brain tumor and get an mri. But you know, she said I was fine, so I guess sending me away, treating me with the most disrespectful attitude I’ve ever experienced, and not taking me seriously about allergies…. I’m just glad I didn’t get discouraged and got a second opinion. The level of inadequate care was terrifying. Photo of my arm from the following day for reference of the “iv”

Worst hospital ever. Sat there for almost 5 hours, my mother has failing kidneys and pneumonia. 3rd time with pneumonia in the last year and they tell her it's non life threatening. They took back a guy with a knee brace and scooter, since when is obesity more life threatening than pneumonia to and elderly woman? Her insurance forces her to go here, but we're looking into other options. Avoid this place at all costs if you can. Staffs useless as well. Unreal

Worst customer service Everrrr!!! When I arrived Abrazo Health Scottsdale ER a nice Black woman who checked me in. She got me into check in nurse right away. He was delightful self deprecating and extremely thorough with the EKG. I told him I was having trouble breathing and he told me I was next to be called in. 3 1/2 hrs later, I’m still in the waiting room and the check in nurse and the front office personnel changed. A dark haired girl and a tattoo girl were now in place. I asked the new Caucasian girl how much longer. She told me there were no more beds. Sorry. They finally called me to the back for an X ray. As I’m being wheeled into the back I see 5 Wide open beds. As well as open rooms. I asked the X ray tech if he could get me an oxygen tank and a IV because I had constant diarrhea. The new nurse walked over and said, “ Who are you? I don’t know who you are.” “I need oxygen. I’m having trouble breathing.” She sighed and slapped an oxygen tester on my finger. “ You don’t need oxygen. Now get back in the waiting room. Sorry for being so sharp with you.” Then she walked away. But she wasn’t sorry. She could care less. I looked at the X ray tech and he just shrugged his shoulders. An hour later, I asked for more oxygen and the nurse jumps up and starts screaming at me, “You don’t need oxygen! Now go sit down.” “You got 5 beds back there.” I said. “Those beds are none of your business. Those beds are for emergencies. You want me to call security?” “Go call security.” (I have a video of that screaming match. With me and the nurse) The security guard Kirk deescalated the situation and the head of hospital management was called. Todd. He never showed and another nurse came to the window and was not the least bit helpful. She refused to give me my records and refused to send my tests/X-rays to another hospital. We left that hospital and went to Honor Health Scottsdale. I told them I needed oxygen and an iv and was immediately brought to the back. The nurses and doctors at Honor Health was delightful. I will never go to another Abrazo again.

Unless you are actively dying avoid this ER at all costs. This was the worst healthcare experience of my life.

Went here for extreme abdomen pain. They CT for a kidney stone. Sent me home with some pain meds and said wait it out. Took only two hours in and out which was the only good part. They charged my insurance $20,000 maxed out my $5,000 deductible. $10,000 of it was the abdomen CT. I more recently crashed my mountain bike breaking 5 ribs and puncturing my lungs and was admitted to Flagstaff Trauma Center. They took 13 images, a bunch of neck, chest and back x-rays. A head CT, Abdomen CT, Cervical Spine CT, Thorax CT, Pelvis CT. All this and they only charged my insurance $1900. I don't understand Abrazo. Both were Emergency room visits but the one in flag was much more extensive and included way more radiology images why was Abrazo 10x more expensive?

At first I thought their customer service was good but I was sadly misled. There was a nurse there with black rimmed glasses and tattoos all over her arms (a Karen for sure) who was extremely unprofessional and quite possibly the worst human I’ve ever met. She outright screamed at the patient. Who does that? After 4 hours we left. They would not give us test results or our records. They even kept a copy of a EKG that we got from an urgent care that they wouldn’t return to us.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I wasn’t feeling my baby move so I went to the closest er. They admitted me knowing they couldn’t help me, kept me over an hour only to send me to another hospital 45 minutes away. I figured I would get a small bill, which wouldn’t have been right but they never even found the baby’s heart beat and then charged me thousands of dollars! My insurance got charged over $4,000 and I’m responsible for more than $700. If something was wrong with my baby they were looking out more for their pocket book then the well-being of my child and myself. This place is going under and will not have your best interest in mind, only their pocket book!

Terrible service, had me waiting for 4 hours with 2 blood clots in my leg. I told them I needed help and they brought every person in before me. 5 people left along with me in fury. And they were there before I was and the people who arrived after us managed to somehow end up in a room. I didn’t even make it too a room I was only in the waiting area

I had an abscess tooth that had engulfed the entire lower part of my face and I was in EXTREME pain. The moment I walked in the staff was so friendly so kind and so caring they had me smiling and laughing even in my current state. I believe my docs were TRE (might be wrong here but he is great! Funny and kind I couldn't asked for better) and DANA. My PA Dana was a doll, she brightens up the darkest of moods and really so caring. Although it may have been one of my worst medical experiences it was my best emergency room visit.BY FAR. Love them

Singularly the worse ER ever! Dirty & grimy. After a severe fall, I came to the ER with a huge hematoma on my knee. I sat in the lobby for 4.5 hours before I was called back for a quick x-Ray. My wound was finally cleaned with just a squirt of water. No antibiotics, either topical or pills. I have lupus, resulting in a compromised immune system which makes me highly susceptible to infection. A few days later, my knee became infected. I had to get antibiotics called in by my PCP. After seeing an orthopedic surgeon the following week, his x-rays showed a fracture to my patella. Yet I was released with just a brace. Not even a bandage to cover my bad abrasion. I don't think there was a doctor in the hospital for at least the first 3 hours I sat in the waiting room. The ER was not crowded yet no one was being seen. Who leaves an elderly person sitting in a raggedy wheelchair for 4 hours after a very bad fall on concrete? I could have broken my hip or shoulder, in addition to the huge hematoma on my knee. Triage consisted of taking my blood pressure & being sent back to sit in an uncomfortable wheelchair in the waiting room. In spite of at least 5-6 recliners in the back which were not being used. I would be afraid to go to this ER with stroke or heart attack symptoms. The place looked like something from a third world war-torn country. It was unbelievable how awful this ER is. I have been to ER departments from DC to LA, from Atlanta to San Francisco but I have never had as bad an experience as this place. I got less care than what could have been administered at Urgent Care. I would rather WALK to Thompson Peak or Osborne than ever return to this dump!

I was very concerned about going to the ER here after reading the reviews. However my experience was very positive. I had a female PA that took care of me and she was very kind and compassionate. She ordered medication to address my symptoms, order testing, and was very thorough with her assessment. I only waited about a half hour to get back to her own and was only there about 4 hours which is outstanding for an ER visit

I went in a couple months ago due to a chronic condition flare up. You have to wait it out just like any other ER but the intake nurse Kirsten was familiar with what I was going through, she was very kind and thorough. She kept the flow of patients moving quickly while still ensuring the best care. The attending PA (also named Kirsten) was knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do to help me. She did some labs and prescribed medication both intravenously and for me to pick up after I left. I appreciated the care and attention I received from all staff members. The area doesn't feel the safest but if I had to go here again I absolutely would just for the individuals who really did their best to take care of me.

Poor inconsiderate treatment, almost like they didn’t believe me or what symptoms I was describing. For the most part interacting with staff was short(slightly rude) and uninformative. This experience was lonely and only increased my panic. Obviously it was my nearest emergency room and I sincerely hope I don’t have to go back to this location. I understand that the front desk staff must see a vast amount of interesting characters each night, but being short and rude only made my emergency visit feel that much more dire and fearful. I was genuinely afraid I was going to die. Would absolutely not recommend.

The wait time is too long, as the other comments for this hospital say its much better to go to any other one that’ll attend to you instead of waiting 5+ hours

I went with my son last night because he had been blasted by Freon. First of all they did absolutely nothing for him and then i witnessed such unprofessional behavior from three nurses. A pregnant woman was upset because she had been there for six hours and they wouldn’t even give her a Tylonel for her headache. She was upset and got a little loud and was told to “F” off, flipped the middle finger and was told that “No one cared”. How dare those people treat someone like that and use profanity. Avoid this emergency room…they don’t care! I feel it is necessary to add to this review after finding out the cost of these people doing NOTHING....$2300.00. Insurance companies need to take a serious look into these scammers! This needs to stop! I would not go to this emergency room if I was bleeding and going to die... anything would be better than this place with the horrible people that work there!

This is the worst Emergency room I have ever been to. I came in with right side middle back sharp pain. I asked for ct scan with contrast and they gave me a. Regular ct scan. I asked again for contrast and they denied me. I’m paying for it then why can’t I get one. Their was nobody in the emergency room and the nurse who was working their was harsh and rude. Seemed like she didn’t like her job and I guess the dr was over worked because his eyes were completely bloodshot and nurses answering room buzzer seemed irritated.

People there are not human beings. They are robots just like their own computer companions. Human life has ZERO value at this place. They care less whether you die or you don't, whether you are a child or an adult, whether you die first or last. Horrible place!

This is unbelievable...there are people laying all over outside and in....really sad....it's that way everywhere. Was too many people for me to wait. Other than that I've had surgeries there, and been admitted a few times and they were awesome. The nurses were the best. Made me very comfortable. Doesn't get any better than that...never an issue.

We to see if I can find out why my knee is badly swollen with bruising and a lump inside the Dr refused to X-Ray knowing my primary MD could treat me quicker and she could have done something to rule out a blood clot.i felt that it was like they didn't care to do anything I will not return. No thank you

Well over $3000 for an x ray for broken toes. Hours wait. Took my card before before giving an estimate of price before the procedure. Wouldn't let me leave with my card after hearing the estimated price. This place is a scam. No wonder someone came in threatening to bomb the place.

I came in battling some severe pain related to an underlying condition that has always been hard to talk about. Between the nurse who took my vitals, the nurse who did my iv and then my doctor, I had a kind, fast, empathetic experience. All my concerns .. all my questions all were answered respectfully even though my anxiety was high. Thank you
