Amazing spot for breakfast or lunch with a nice patio. 100% gluten free, but you wouldn’t know it! The AZ hot chicken sandwich was definitely the best I’ve ever had gluten free. The bread and buns were also top notch. Excited to keep coming back!

My daughter has celiac's and is gluten free. All the things she normally "can't" have, she can have here. Chicken and waffles, chocolate eclairs, biscuits and gravy. Cookies, cupcakes, brownies. This is a scratch kitchen so they can literally make anything that your little heart desires and they are able to tweak things but this is a 100% gluten-free facility and they offer so many varieties of desserts, morning pastries, my daughter could not decide between all of the wonderful things on the menu just to eat, let alone trying to choose a single dessert. They also had a huge variety of local honey there. They had everything from regular honey to hot honey I think they even had scorpion pepper honey. These are definitely a must try also with the chicken and waffles. My daughter fell in love immediately with the spicy honey and the chicken and waffles. I couldn't recommend this place more highly if you are on a Gluten Sensitive diet.

Listen, This place has so much hype and I bought into it. Yes! Gluten free options are far in between and a whole restaurant that caters to only gluten free options is top tier. I was really excited for this place that I dragged my husband with me and hyped him up. All the reviews I read that was so positive and claiming everyone should go eat here definitely set my standards up high. My husband ordered the spicy chicken and waffles and I had vegan versions with fried oysters mushrooms which was recommended by our server claiming that it was the best seller there. We also ordered two coffees (once iced and one hot) being informed they serve press coffee. Firstly, I have had Press coffee very often. And the coffee we received were not it!! Like not it!! If you know your lattes and are a coffee connoisseur, don’t order coffee here. You will be throughly disappointed. My husband and I took one sip and immediately said nope. We are not drinking this. Moving on the food. The food was decent. Edible. However not up to the standards of the glorified reviews this place got for its food especially the chicken and waffles. My husband said the chicken was dry and the coating wasn’t really seasoned, just spicy. The oyster mushrooms definitely had a light nice batter that I thought was flavorful however, you could taste the oil it was fried in which wasn’t pleasant. And honestly. The plate needs more mushrooms that aren’t size of a penny. I expect to see full size oyster mushrooms on my plate for the price being charged. Overall, would I go back because it’s made it to my favorite spots to eat at ?—- NO. I don’t know how this place earned such raving reviews. What we were served was average that came with a disproportionately high price tag.

Amazing!!! I have a gluten allergy & Jewel's has been the BEST gluten free restaurant I've ever eaten at. I literally wanted to cry because I was so happy to be eating something so delicious that didn't taste like "gluten free". Just fyi I brought home leftovers and they heated up great 🥰

I have been here a handful of times. I really enjoy the chicken and waffles. The chicken is perfectly spicy and crispy! The waffles are perfectly made. This time we got an order of the doughnuts and wow they were good! I do suggest asking for extra syrup. They don’t give you very much. Also be okay with waiting for seating, service, food. Don’t go here if you are on a time crunch. But if you have nothing going on it is well worth it. Solid parking lot. Seating is great. The staff is kind.

I was diagnosed with Celiac disease about 8 years ago and since then I've been trying to find as many gluten free restaurants and businesses as I can. I want to bring attention to these places so they can grow and get more business and I have found some gems over the years. Of all the gems however, none are as wonderful as Jewels. I had been told to try them for years but not until recently did I have the opportunity to go. I have now found the single best gluten free restaurant in my 8 year search. The food is unparalleled, the service is flawless and the only thing that would make this place better is if they had more locations. (west valley please) Words can't describe how delicious this restaurant is so please just go give them a visit.

This has been my go-to Gluten Free paradise in Phoenix. Justine is such an amazing woman, she’s created the safest place for people with severe allergies to eat. The food ALWAYS tastes amazing. You can’t tell whats gluten free, dairy free or vegan! It’s just that good! Her employees are so attentive to the customers, she ensures everyone is satisfied. So many great menu options as well from savory to sweet! I’ve been coming here since she opened, and will continue to go here when I travel to Phoenix!! I highly recommend this cafe to everyone, even those who don’t have a food allergy because the food is that amazing!

Really cute spot and super friendly employees. Next time I'll come with a bigger appetite. I got the caprese avo toast and basil truffle fries. My spouse got chicken and waffles along with fried pickles and our son ordered the popcorn chicken, plus 2 iced chai tea lattes and a house made lemonade. Everything was really good. I recently started following them on IG as I was just diagnosed with celiac disease. So I need to start my gluten free journey and my family was down for checking this place out with me. They really liked everything too. I'll definitely have to try the baked goods and desserts next time, that's where my weakness lies and what I will likely miss most being gluten

Best. Gluten free. Fried. Chicken!!!! What? I finally went and tried the chicken and waffles. It has been FOREVER since I've eaten real fried chicken but guess what y'all??? Jewel's has it. And it was delicious. It was so nice to walk in a joint, order whatever I want and get it all safe to eat-GLUTEN FREE. I am so grateful there are places like Jewel's Bakery because without them, I don't get to eat like everyone else. It's about time gluten free people get to eat delicious food too. You'll find it here. Along with the fried pickles. 🤤 I'm coming back to try everything else on the menu next time I'm in town. Or maybe a date night with the hubster.

Celiac and the whole menu is gluten free. The donut holes were phenomenal! I got the hot chicken sandwich and my husband got the chicken and waffles. Whether gluten free or not, would definitely recommend.

If you have celiac disease I HIGHLY recommend this spot if you're out in phoenix. It was so good we came almost everyday while we were out here. Definitely get a cinnamon roll on your way out! Even my husband could not tell a difference. We will be back next time we are out this way. Instagram- iamafood_addict

1st time and wont be the last time. Food was delicious, we had the chorizo hash bowl and chicken with waffles. I asked for a salsa on the side and they gave me a home made green one that complimented the chorizo very well. Service was on time and attentive. Great place for good food and bottomless mimosas 👌🏻🥂

What a gem of a place. Stopped in here twice and got some deliciously delightful food. When I come back and visit I’m definitely making an effort to stop in! All gluten free? Amazing. I will likely dream about the chicken and waffles.

The staff was friendly and we had brunch after the Sunday rush. For Sunday breakfast there is always a line, so plan accordingly. Reservations are accepted. The food is delicious and gluten-free. My only complaint was the price which a bit high in my opinion.

We stopped here twice on our trip to Phoenix because it was just that good! We loved the hashbrown dippers, cheese curds, waffles and vegan fried "chicken" mushrooms. We also enjoyed all the baked goods we tried, especially the strawberry cheesecake cookie. The dirty chai was really great too. I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in Phoenix again!

Woweeee what a GEM! Their food (and sauces) are all mostly homemade and have the most delicious tang to them. The chicken came out piping hot and fresh. I was worried the meals would be greasy and heavy but it was quite the opposite. I can’t wait to go back on a weekend and try to cinnamon roll! Service was also top notch - super friendly server and host. Cute vibe inside too!

This is the turkey bowl. Had turkey sausage in it. I changed the potatoes to their tot style. Every time I come here I try something new and I am NEVER disappointed. I am so grateful there is a delicious, gluten free kitchen near me! Do you know another secret?? This place turns into a fabulous taco joint on the weekends! Check out Jewels, even if you don't have to do gluten free. You will not be disappointed! 🙂 Cheers y'all!

I tried out Jewel's for the first time yesterday for brunch and had the most amazing experience! The food was divine - we had the pickle chips & donut holes for apps and the chicken sandwich & hot chicken and waffles for our entrees. Each was delightful and knowing it was all GF made it that much better. Also, the syrup is out of this world!! To top it all off - our server, Oscar, was incredible. He gave us recommendations, was super attentive, and made our experience at Jewel's one we won't forget. This is hands down my new favorite brunch spot!

I drove 45 minutes to try this place for the first time after struggling to find any gluten free and dairy free restaurants near me and choose Jewel’s Cafe for my birthday celebration brunch. I placed my order ahead of time knowing the pastries sell out quickly and asked if they had any cinnamon rolls left. I was told there were only three left and I said I would take one, only to find out that when I got there to pick up my order that one hadn’t been set aside for me. Not only that but the guy taking my payment laughed about not having set one side and clearly wasn’t planning on mentioning it because I had to ask if the cinnamon roll was also in the bag. It’s upsetting that we spent over $100 on food and even as we tried to find a replacement option for the mistake he made, he didn’t offer any suggestions or even comp the donut holes we settled on. I then waited another 10 minutes for the donut holes and delayed bringing the family the rest of the food. I had really high hopes for my first experience at Jewel’s Cafe because I’ve heard such great things but the customer service experience today leaves a lot to be desired.

I found out about Jewels in November 2022 when I was planning my trip to Arizona and I was diagnosed with Celiac in 2017 so finding out about Jewels Cafe was the second best day of my life. The best day of my life was eating at Jewels and feeling like a normal human being at a restaurant again with no restrictions. Being able to eat with no anxiety is the best feeling ever and I’m so thankful for Jewels Cafe for offering that with spectacular food! My dad (who can eat gluten) has said their burrito was the best burrito he has had. My husband and I made a trip to Arizona in May 2023 and chose to eat at Jewels 3 out 5 days we were in town. Overall, Jewels Cafe is worth the 6-7 hour drive from New Mexico! We are forever grateful customers.

Gluten free food SO good that you might shed a tear. Fried chicken & waffles, burritos, biscuits & gravy. Fried cheese curds, friend pickles, donuts, cupcakes. Food I’ve either never had or haven’t had in years. Highly recommend the fried cheese curds! The entire facility is GF which is comforting.

My favorite spot to grab brunch in Phoenix! Love that I can order anything off the menu and not have to worry about gluten. Everything I have ordered here has been excellent, my favorites are the cheese curds and the popcorn chicken + donut holes. I always take friends & family here when they are in town, and they love it too!

What a great place with everything GF. My daughter has celiac and our family loved everything we ordered, and we ordered a ton. Cheese curds, fried pickles, fried chicken, Belgium waffles, omelettes, French fries. Great staff, cute place.

OMG! If you're in Phoenix, you need to run to Jewel's Bakery and Cafe and get one of their $8 gluten-free cinnamon rolls. This actually has the correct yeasted bread texture. These were incredible. Also tried the cannoli cupcake and lemon raspberry cookie. While they were good, the cinnamon roll was FANTASTIC. 10/10 cinnamon roll. They're a 100% gluten free restaurant and bakery which was fantastic for a celiac like me. Thanks to @eatglutenfreeaz on IG for the tip to eat here. While I just got my bakery items to go, there is table service here. It's a very casual vibe. Last visited: November 2023

Excellent concept and an extreme variety of food choices. From Sandwiches and Cinnamon Rolls to Buffalo Bites and lots of other daily or weekly specials. Most things are very heavy and fatty, but that seems to be the taste in the US

Who knew gluten-free food was this GOOD!? If you went not knowing, you'd have no clue! It's amazing food! There is a long wait but totally worth it. Service was casual but wonderful. If there was one thing I critic, it'd be the cocktails. But everything else outways that minor thing. Mahe sure to check this place out!

Gluten-free restaurant, where the food actually tastes good. I have been wanting chicken and waffles for so long. Everything that I had was so good. As an added benefit, they make their own gf flour blend that you can buy.

  • 5/5 Kerry K. 8 months ago on Google
Making all your food gluten free is hard enough, but making it taste this good and being creative with the menu is next level. There were so many really yummy looking things on the menu to order that picking any one thing was tough.

  • 5/5 Gwen A. 2 years ago on Google
I cannot say enough good things about Jewel’s. My husband and I went not knowing it’s entirely gluten free but were so happy that it was, since he doesn’t eat gluten. And honestly the fact that it’s gluten free takes nothing away from the food, it in fact makes some of it better. The pancakes and waffles are some of the best I’ve ever had, they have a mochi consistency that is chewy on the inside and crisp on the outside, just incredible. The service was so prompt and friendly. I love it here, can’t wait to come back every weekend for brunch.

Didn't get a picture of everything because we jumped on the appetizers too quick but WOW everything here is absolutely DELICIOUS ans food portions were generous! I don't have a gluten intolerance but honestly, if every restaurant prepared their gluten-free options like this, I'd order it everytime because of how tasty everything was prepared. Amazing place, already lots of people sat down when we got there 9 minutes after opening and we can see why!

It's been years since I had a Belgian waffle and this one did not disappoint! Very impressive menu for people who have dietary restrictions or had chosen to be vegan or vegetarian. There's something delicious for everyone! Disturbing staff was great and the food came out fast. A special shout out to Frank :-)

  • 5/5 Dayna 2 years ago on Google
The food here is fantastic, but because it's so good and because there are so few gluten free restaurants in the valley, this place is generally packed. Expect to have a short wait for a table, but it will certainly be worth the wait. Everything I've tried here has been great, but I highly recommend the chicken & waffles, those are the best. The waffles have the best texture, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, not what you normally expect for gluten free bread type products. The sauces are all delicious. The coffee is slightly more bitter than my preference, but less bitter than Starbucks pike place. The bakery options are also delicious, especially the cinnamon rolls. Prices are very reasonable especially for gluten free items. You won't be disappointed.

Good food, but a little pricey. Ordered the cheese curds which were oily and $11, which we didn’t realize until we got our meal. The Country Fried Chicken was really good and the AZ Hot Chicken sandwich was SPICY!! Overall, good food and friendly service.

  • 5/5 Kelsey G. 3 years ago on Google
This place is amazing! As a gluten free person I am so glad I found this place. Granted on my way out of town. But their spicy chicken sandwich actually makes me miss sandwiches. And I didn’t have to worry about what was in anything because it is a dedicated gluten free place. Definitely saving this for the next time I’m near Phoenix. 😍

  • 5/5 Chelsey W. 2 years ago on Google
We ate at this place on the first and last day of our vacation to Sedona. We absolutely loved it. It’s so refreshing to be able to go to a restaurant that has an entire menu that is gluten free. And it’s not just salads and bowls. The food is incredible! The service is amazing. They were very friendly and it’s nice and clean.

This was an amazing experience!!!! As anyone with food allergies will know, eating out can be so difficult it is often not even worth it! Here at Jewel Cafe I didn't have to fret over gluten free options (400 thumbs up for that!). I ordered many different things and can honestly say everything was beyond my best expectation!! Delicious!
