Interesting weekend by the water. We went in on Friday afternoon and found a good spot next to the water. You can swim and it is not that deep for quit a way out. Aside from a few loud moments you can hear the water all night and there was lots of space. Some people launched small boats right from the campsites. The night sky is amazing and I should have taken my telescope. I will go back again but not so close to a holiday. Tonto pass is required and it’s first come first serve so go early to get good spots. Cell reception is spotty but good for text and maybe emergency calls. It is sandy so a lot of common sense when driving around in there.

Heads up. This area is extremely overgrown right now. There’s no beach left right now. The good news is the lake is large, beautiful and full of other camp areas

We camped for 3 days. Busy spot, but the water was lovely and enjoyed the stay. πŸ• Glad we had a portable toilet though, as the portable toilets provided were gross. People are so rude and nasty in that regard. Forest service staff were cleaning it, but they can only do so much.

At Roosevelt Lake, Beach camping at Horse Pasture/Bermuda Flats has several spots but it's all Beach camping there is at the lake so it fills up fast. Don't forget to get your Tobto Pass card for each day. The America Beautiful pass dies NOT work here.

Love this lake...hope to one day retire here....for the winter of course :) our granddaughter swam this evening, could hardly get her out of the lake. ..Jesus bless it here with some substantial moisture. ..

Very easy for a person with disability to hang out by the water. Absolutely love this area. Love how you can set up camp right next to the water

It's a scenic spot as you get to see the expanse of the lake's water in front of you with the mountains in the horizon. When I went, it wasn't too busy. The road backs into the water, and the water was pretty shallow by the shore- so it makes for a nice launch area for kayaks or other boats. I didn't see any restrooms or water fountains. I only saw a ramada with a picnic table, grill, and what appeared to be a shower.

πŸ‘ Stayed here for 2 weeks with our 2 dogs. We also brought our boat and rented a slip. First of all, the lake is gorgeous, almost always glass and very quiet during the week. The dock is quite a walk and very long. They offer golf cart shuttles to and from your location. We tipped the driver if we had...
