It's a budget motel but it pushes the boundaries of habitability. If you're used to mints on your pillow and room service, you're not going to do well here. But, if you realize that it's safer and more comfortable than sleeping outside, and you can be thankful for having a very simple, very non luxurious shelter surrounded by folks that have all seen the inside of a prison cell at least once in their lives, then you'll survive just fine. 1 star for the room which was pretty gross and made me limit my stay to 2 nights as the depression that was setting in was unbearable, and 5 stars for the nice girl who checked me in.

Fun little place! Fun little cockroaches welcomed us to our room. Fun happy people hanging around/sleeping on the stairs. Cool little tube tv to keep you distracted from the nefarious activity outside your door. Surprised they had a mirror in the room! Metal bracing/bracket on the two doors to the rooms we tried to get in to that looked like they'd been kicked in. Interesting feature of the hotel was the copious amounts of trash! Trash on the street, trash in the parking lots, over filled trash cans, bags of trash outside of people rooms! Checked for bed bugs and didn't see any. Woke up with bites and so did my cousin. Maybe I had these bites before and I didn't notice until I woke up. Didn't see any actual needles, just a few caps. The front desk guy was was good and fast. We weren't able to get into the first room, but that could have been user error. Definitely the worst place I've ever stayed. Can't believe people get charged to stay here. I don't believe I've left a one star review before.

So, started out by waiting 30 minutes in line to be able to check in, but the receptionist was nice enough so I hoped the rest of the stay would go smoothly. Of course it was all downhill from there. I did my booting through booking.com, and I checked other booking sites as well and every one of them says that there's supposed to be free wifi, and not only do you have to pay for it, it's not available in every room, then walking into the room the secondary flip lock is broken off and unfixed. The TV turns on, but there's no cable or anything. Then there's the bugs, I only spotted a few roaches, but all night while we slept we got bit up. At first we thought it was mosquitoes, but when we were on our way out in the morning, we found bed bugs on our clothes and in our stuff. We had booking.com file a complaint, and they're requesting a refund, but it takes up to 5 days to get a response from the hotel. Now we have to go through and deep clean all of our stuff and take all of our clothing that was with us to a laundromat. Hopefully they refund at least partial to cover all of that.

Booked the room for 3 nights. We weren't expecting fancy, just a place to sleep while we visited family. We walked in and omg, it was horrible. Like I said, we were not expecting fancy but we were expecting a decent place to sleep. This place was so below decent. I could've dealt with the fact that there was no towels in the room, no shower curtain and that the TV didn't even have a power cord. What we could not tolerate though was the infestation of roaches. Once we saw that, we went right back to the women who checked us in and requested a refund. They took our info and said they'd call us later that day or the next once it had been processed. Didn't get any call. Went back 2 days later since we hadn't gotten a call and was told by someone else that they had submitted a refund and it would take 3-5 days for the money to get back to us. It's been over a week now and still haven't gotten our money back. Called them today to inquire about it and was told that it doesn't show in their records that they submitted a refund. In fact, it shows that we checked in but not that we checked out. And now we have to wait for them to do some "research" to find out what happened. We were told twice that we were going to get a refund and the second time we were told that a refund had already been submitted. Beyond frustrating and absolutely the worst place. Gave the new manager my info and we'll see if they get back to us in the next day or so. If not, I guess we'll be looking at other routes we can take to get out money back.

My room was literally given to someone else while I was at the library and all of my personal items are gone--including my cash, money. No one in the office knows who gave my room to someone else or who cleaned my room, possibly keeping all my things. Does the new guest have it all? They won't look at the video surveillance and the employee won't tell me the name of the manager.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! SAFETY HAZARD!!! This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. There were people wandering around outside who were clearly under the influence of multiple substances, not to mention the piles of trash laying all over the property. The man who checked us in was sleeping in the back when we arrived and then was extremely rude when we asked to check in. The hotel had overbooked or just didn’t care if you reserved a room ahead of time because the room we originally booked wasn’t available and we were told “sorry that’s not my problem”. When we got to the room that was available it looked as if it were being renovated. One of the two beds was broken, the TV was missing and the wires had been cut and pulled from the wall, there was a hole in the wall, the artwork was missing, tiles in the bathroom were broken and extremely sharp, there were no toiletries or toilet paper, the lock on the door was broken, when I looked through the peephole I could see INTO the room, and the floor sagged when we walked on it. We immediately took our stuff back to the car and went back to the front desk to ask for a different room. The guy at the front desk was extremely rude and told us there was nothing he could do because all the other rooms were either full or hadn’t been cleaned yet because “the housekeeping staff doesn’t do their jobs”. We had seen a couple rooms that were empty on our way back to the front desk and when I asked about them he told me that those rooms had reservations. SO DID WE! I told him at that moment I wanted a refund and after 30min of back and forth we got our money back and left. It was an absolute nightmare.

Booked on Priceline at the Roadway Inn on 9/22/22, no clean rooms available upon arrival at check in so no room at that great online rate. Had to purchase a more expensive Ecolodge Inn room at same location, the bait and switch. The room I was provided does not have a working TV smells horrible, really bad, the smell clings to clothing. The room is missing the lamp shades, the WI Fi does not work of course, has not for a long time according to front desk. Light fixtures are hanging from out of the ceiling, the faucet on the sink is not attached to the sink. This place is a dump, the graffiti not removed from walls adds an artistic flare to a room with no pictures on the wall. Nothing works here, not even the door locks, lowball online rate for rooms that don’t exist then the substandard room described above is what you will be sold, this is not a 2 star and is not even a 1 star. Don’t stay here, the place is not what is advertised, checking the reviews, advertised cheap rooms that don't exist are the business model here, the owner’s replies are amusing, he is so, so sorry the guest are disappointed with the rooms he misrepresents.

Amazing and friendly staff. Staff was the only good part. Rooms were completely vile. Taped off fire alarms- brown stains covering the sheets-a door that didn't latch- cigarette ash in a non smoking room- nasty floors didn't look like it was cleaned at all- a light fixture hanging from a literal thread on the ceiling- no cover on AC unit- holes all over the blankets- and probably more that I forgot. We moved rooms 3 times before we decided to get a refund and go somewhere else. Definitely do not recommend staying here, I barely made it an hour at that hotel. Literal only good thing was the staff and they were amazing.

If I was able to give it zero Stars I would in a heartbeat. The room was filthy and definitely not suitable to be rented out. I had to clean my own room. There was a pike when I was done. The beds not even made nor the trash taken out. There as still someone's soap on the dirty shower! When I called the office to complain she came up to the room. Glances roundand had the nerve to ask me what the problem was! Omg so disgusting 🤢 .

Absolutely the worst hotel to stay at. Bed linens had rat holes all in them, a/c was held together by duct tap, floor tiles broken, TV and mini fridge were gone, bath towel was stained and didn't have a wash cloth. The front desk was friendly but that's the only good thing to be said about this place. 10 out of 10 do NOT recommend.

This place is terrifying. We paid for a room after hours of driving, just desperate for some rest. As soon as we walked in, it reeked of cigarette smoke, there were holes punched in the wall, people under the influence passed out in front of doors. We ended up leaving immediately because we felt unsafe. Cars were circling the parking lot. When we left after 15 minutes of being there we requested a refund and was told it was against policy.

Worst hotel I've ever been to. 3 customers since I've been in the front desk area have asked for refunds. They gave one guy a key to a room that's already occupied and walked in on the people. We reserved 2 queen beds. They gave us a room with 1 full. And the key wouldn't work. Now they won't refund my money until priceline does it. Also crawling with crackheads.

The room was nasty; dead roaches on the bathroom floor, toilet seat broken, only one pillow for a king bed, only one ice machine and it was broken, couldn't find the remote, and the property overall was dirty. I've been in a lot of hotels, and this was the worst experience ever.

I checked in at 2735 W Sweetwater Ave Building B, Phoenix, AZ 85029 and I checked out within 1 hour for the reason of no ac,no TV and no working shower in a room. I was told that I'll receive full refund. What I received was double charge on my account ( charges are in red) together with email stating, that my reservation was canceled for " no show" at the hotel. When called to ask about that on 06/ 20/22 at 2:30 pm, receptionist stated that she " haven't sent" me any email and that one of the two charges on my account is a refund. I explained to her that two charges are in red, and there is an email explaining that I have "no show", which may be a mistake but she continued telling me that one of the charges is a refund and that she has not sent me any email. I asked her to whom I can turn to, in order to inquire about the email and she said again that she didn't send me any email, that there's nobody there, that one of my double charges is a refund but I don't know about it. I asked her to stop repeating and listen , which she did, so I explained again double charges in red and email stating my " no show", but she stated "ma'am don't yell at me, I have a line here", making up a reason for me to move on. Even with the worse English, I should be understood, when I state red color on my account, and email denying my check in... anyways I can help you to find some more competent people to work.

Waited 20 plus min to check in after booking with priceline. We already paid. I called the next day to request a refund and they denied me as they said someone was there when there was nobody at the desk. Half a dozen others behind us also were waiting to check in. Didn't look like the safest place to stay, people wondering around everywhere. Beware.

My teenage son and I booked a room for two nights on Priceline. We knew it wouldn’t be glamorous at two stars. When we arrived we were not allowed to enter the lobby (appeared condemned) a person behind a small sliding window took my driver’s license and $40.00 cash deposit and disappeared for 20-30 minutes while we sweated in the little front corridor with the sliding window. We were unable to even locate the room that we were given a key card. One of the homeless people out front suggested it might be on the far side where the fire engine had just pulled in to put out a small room fire. We drove off without our deposit, $120.00 wasted on Priceline. I attempted to get my $40. Cash back but no one would come to the window. Definitely a scam! Received multiple “how was you trip” emails from price line… Called and talked to a representative who offered me 15% off my next adventure with Priceline. I experienced fraud activity on my debit card immediately following this trip…

OMG please don't ever stay here!!!!!! I booked for a whole month coming from out of town, spent 2k. We got there they gave us a room that was filled with a family smoking pot so when I asked for another room they gave us one that was still being "cleaned" at 5pm, it was roach infested everywhere, smelt like dog urine was just marinated on the floor, no TV, no bathroom door, the dresser was broken and wouldn't shut causing my 2 year old to get hurt, I asked to cancel and get a refund. I was informed they would charge me one night plus tax, I said that's fine. And now the manager (tall skinny grey hair man) is refusing to refund me at all!!!!!!! They stole 2k of my money!!!!! Beware when you step on the property!!!!!!!!

This is the absolute worst place! DO NOT STAY THERE! Gang members everywhere. TV falling off the wall, door had been busted open by police or worse. I walked in the room and walked right out. Forfeited my money because my life is more valuable. As I was checking out another guest was checking out too that had only been there 2 hours. DO NOT STAY THERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE!

I would give this place negative 5 stars if I could. My main entry doorframe of the room was broken and would not close. A big security risk. The staff had no intention of resolving the issue. Not to mention the room was filthy. I also heard other customers complaining of issues with the water and electricity which the staff pushed aside. The staff was rude and the rooms are awful. Do NOT stay here.

Upon arrival with a reservation my room was not available. After waiting hours I was given a room with mold, dirty beds and a huge hole in the bathroom door. I believe "Christina" was at the front desk, she was incredibly rude and negative. I was not refunded for my first night stay(remember, Upon arrival there was not a room available). Many people lurking around at all hours. I did not feel safe. The management is absolutely horrible!!!

Waited in line with about 5 other people for over 2 hours. One woman and her son were given a key to a room a bunch of men were already in. Somebody came down asking if anybody had narcan. Most people were trying to get refunds for gross rooms or cards that were charged without any reservation actually being booked. The room I was going to stay in (I decided to leave) had blood on the curtains, a shoe on the floor, and smelled of mildew. Do not stay here! (Putting this same review for the econo lodge since they share a lot and are equally repulsive).

I wouldn’t bring my worst enemy to this place. Absolutely horrible and degrading experience. My friend and I were traveling for a concert and just needed a place to sleep for the night - little did we know we booked a room in Hell. The place is littered with wandering homeless and druggies. The room door had black mold around it. Inside, the floor felt sticky, stains on the wall, no working microwave, no chair, towels had yellow stains on them, burn holes on the linens, the faucet was leaking water on the floor, the smell was pungent - it felt incredibly dirty. The icing on the cake was the staff. Upon checking out, a women at the front basically argued with me over giving me back my $40 deposit because I didn’t have a receipt for it - which I WAS NEVER GIVEN. I was ONLY given a key to the room, and I had paid everything in cash. She insisted I received a receipt and made me feel so insulted. I know she kept the money just because. It might sound like a cheap deal, but DO NOT STAY HERE. This place needs to be condemned. Worst hotel experience of my life. I wish I could give it negative stars.

Please don’t go to this hotel even if it is $1. Theives. Liars and terrible management. There’s a lady at the front desk who treats people in the most terrible ways I’ve ever seen. Don’t leave your items in the room. They stole my laptop last night, when we went out to get food. We found out the door is never locked. Even when it seems locked, they have ways of accessing your room to steal your stuff. It’s the worst place you can think about.

I checked in Sunday night after making (and paying for) a reservation online. It took an hour and a half to check in. The front desk person told me I’d have to pay a $40 deposit which was refundable upon checkout. There was no toilet paper, no door on the bathroom, what appeared to be black mold around the tub, no garbage can in the room, and some janky mirror placed sideways and parallel to the bed. Every single night, I had to go get the key reset to get into the room. Most nights, it was a 10-20 minute wait for someone to come to the counter. One night, one of the workers was smoking pot in the stairwell right outside my room and when I’m walking up the stairs, she says “sorry I’m a drug addict,” while actively smoking pot. When I checked out this morning, I was told the person that checked me in placed me as a “no show,” and did something with the $40 deposit I’d placed on the hotel and so I’d have to talk to upper management later. The place is terrible. If I could’ve given it 0 stars, I would’ve

This hotel sucks, everything broken, shower head broken and leaking, air conditioner is also broken but they insist it still running, running with warm wind in 120 degrees F, so I checked out my second day of my reservation (still have three days left) , their front desk told me I am all set and they will refund me the rest of my reservation, but they lies. I kept waiting their refund, then they said I was not checking out till the end. They don’t even return my 40 dollars deposit. Really mean hotel, definitely don’t stay at in this horrible hotel in your life. It will harm you physically and mentally.

Horrible experience!! ZERO STARS IF I COULD. The manager was so rude. MULTIPLE GUESTS WERE COMPLAINING WHEN WE WERE. Drug addicts everywhere even the employees look like it. They don't even clean the rooms right. Nothing works. They don't have toilet paper, towels, tvs, microwave. Foil with black stuff on it. Burn holes in blankets. Beds weren't made. Do NOT stay here. I recommend EZ 8 or SUPER 8 over this place!!!!!

Pretty terrible but I don't know who would have expectations at $40 a night. Tv did not work and fridge was gone but I only needed a place to crash for the he night before I got the road again . All I can say is I wouldn't suggest bringing the kids here for a good time at the pool ,

Hideous, filthy, roaches, holes in every wall. No bedside tables, no phone, no TV, no fridge. Smelled of something vile and rancid mixed with cheap perfume. Never returned my deposit because I "didn't check out"... I have worked in several hotels and hostels, NONE required in-person checkout at the front desk. Just keep driving!!!

The door had chunks torn out of it. It was barely locked. There were roaches and other bugs. Room was dirty. No amenities. TV didn't work. The worst place I've ever stayed.

Horrible all the way we got there and they literally walked us around to find a room. When we finally got settled the shower didn’t work and there were roaches everywhere. The microwave was broken literally had to hold the door of the microwave closed in order for it to work. When we told them about the shower they gave us the runaround about having someone fix it. When we asked for another room we were completely ignored. Don’t stay here

  • 5/5 Olivia B. 6 months ago on Google
Office management is awesome! Jim and his team take care of you, you have great access to the freeway, which is important to me, and pretty good prices compared to other locations in town. And they answer the phone everytime you call a bonus.

This hotel is completely garbage. Health Inspection or city ordinance must go to that hotel. Some websites that have this hotel listed must be ashamed while reserving this hotel. You must be careful and aware. I and my family we have a bad experience with this hotel it has no curtains, the toilet in the bathroom it was tartar and the bathtub and scratches. The bedsheets were very dirty and it was no television no microwave neither refrigerator available either. Is completely dirty and we don't recommend this place hotel and must close it bad odors and dirty floors

They are very friendly and helpful as long as you have a reservation that is. I would highly recommend making a reservation and staying on their good side cuz they're very helpful when it comes to paying your for your room, if you're going to spend more than one night. I'm definitely going to come back when I need to if I need to get another reservation at a motel in this area.

6/27 My elderly parents reserved a room using HOTWIRE at this roadway inn to be able to sleep a few hours on their way through back to California. They arrived and were told at first they didn't have a room for them even though they got a confirmation email. They were then offered the last room and placed in a room with no AC. It was still 100 degrees. There was graffiti on the walls INSIDE the room and holes in the ceiling. My parents assessed the room and decided to get back in their car and drive through the night. MY PARENTS HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED THEIR REFUND. what kind of place accepts the reservation when they don't have an adequate room?
