This shop is hidden in the small alley. If you’re first time here, try to spot the queue outside the shop to find it. Dim sum served here is Thai style, which is sweet and comes with chili sauce at the side. Interesting experience if you haven’t tried this style. Staff speaks limited English but they would try to communicate with you at their best ;) or maybe google translate can help Note they have free tea at the table and you can get your drinks in front too. And the price is definitely affordable.

[Asia Honeymoon Tour March 2023] YOU HAVE TO GO! 6 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Backstreet dim sum shop. Only found due to a random You Tube video I watched from a VLogger. No english words, speakers or menus anywhere to be seen. Point to what you like the look of and they'll tray it up for you. Small dishes or 1, 2 or 3 items per dish. Mostly steamed, but some fried. Served hot. We got pork, chicken and 'god knows what' streamed dumplings and beef slow cooked riblets. Very cheap. Had about 8 little dishes for breakfast and it came to just under 170THB (£4). This place only opens 0500hrs to 1000hrs. No lunch. No tea. Get up early and enjoy a proper Thai breakfast with the locals!!!

In my opinion, the second branch makes their dim sum taste a little better than this one. My suggestion is do try to order something with shrimps because they taste great like Shrimp shumai and Hagao. “Pork belly stew” was also lovely as well as deep fried “kien”.

We are from Malaysia and we appreciate this kind of dim sum. Definitely not for those expecting high end dishes here. The price is so cheap! We had so many dim sum and 3 iced coffee and only cost RM30. We definitely appreciate the local feeling here! Aunties and workers were so accommodating!

Ordered 5 items with tea, and it only came up to 120baht. Decent, reliable dim sum that suits Singaporean taste! Shop that has been operating for 4 generations! No one could speak English, so just point and order 😊

My favorite dimsum mainly because of the red pork bun. The buns are made fresh. They are not frozen like other shops. Buns are fluffy and taste very good. The other dishes are also good and fresh. Been here many times.

Start day with Delicious Dim-sum. Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Mustard Green is mostly recommended.

Yummy local dim sum. Good choice for breakfast. You can choose the dish you want. Self-service of many sauces. Hot steam dim sum in the city center.

I have been here three days in a row at different time. My first visit was near the closing time when you have less option. Second time was at the peak time around 9 AM and I had to wait to be seated until I decided to take away as I am afraid that other dishes would run out (That day I managed to get the best taste). And the third one is in the early morning around 6.10. One thing in common that the dimsum were not that warm (and I prefer a warm or hot dimsum), probably because of many people need to be served immediately. Best tips is to select which one looks warm enough, right at the front section and sit after. Price... reasonable... That's how you could maximize your breakfast experience here.

The moment we discovered this place for breakfast, we decided to keep coming back. Don't expect Hong Kong style dim sum. Their version of dim sums are localised flavour, cheap yet tasty. Be here early as we came twice for their much acclaimed curry bun, but sold out even though we were there at 8am T.T

Another hidden gem found! It’s a dim sum place frequented by locals. None of the staff could speak English but they were still super friendly. We could just order easily from the pictures or just point to the food trays we want from their gigantic steamer in front of the stall. We ordered a whole lot of food and particularly love the Bak Kut teh (more herbal version rather than the peppery type), pork porridge and chicken feet. Price was definitely cheap for the quality of food. They have their own twist and flavour of dim sum so it would be unfair to compare to Hong Kong dim sum. So with their own flavour and version of each dish, it was a great experience and place to visit to kickstart our day.

Great breakfast spot that is open early. Lots of locals eating with high turn over. Clean food. Thai style dimsum with some Cantonese style dishes

First time trying this restaurant I really enjoyed it so much. Fish balls is the best!! Price is very reasonable.

Dumplings were alright. There are various kinds of dishes to try. Their tamarind sauce is a bit sweet for my liking. Price is not too expensive. They sell tiger peanuts as a snack at the front of the shop. It’s very tasty!

Dim sum evolved to Thai Chinese style. Interesting taste but definitely cannot be compared to Cantonese dim sum. Go for the experience. Bao skin is fluffy thought they didn’t look much visually.

Awesome dimsum. Reasonable price. Shop is a bit hard to find as it's located in alley way

This place was highly recommended by our colleagues so we decided to try it out one morning when we were in Old Phuket Town. We can guarantee that this place is legit and the dimsum on offer are some of the tastiest we’ve shoved in our mouths. The price too is absolutely inexpensive, we can easily have a feast for a song. The only complaint I have is that they close way too early in the morning, and for us living on the other side of the island, getting here early is a big task.

Yummy dim sum in a small place. Crowded and a few dish was so fast sold out. Hehe just shows how good their food are.

The dim sums served are quite cheap, but the taste is so so for us as we had better. Queuing is a must for this establishment, but the queue moves quickly. After you have been appointed a table, order the dim sums of choice by the counter, and all will be brought to your dining table. Typical dimsums like siumai hargau and chicken feet are quite okay, but the rest are just okay. I personally like their steamed bun with chicken curry.

If you’re looking for real dim sum, this isn’t it. The staff also doesn’t speak English and stared at us when we asked to be seated. Everything is cheap and catered towards the locals.

Old but clean restaurant. Famous among local Thai. Attentive and friendly staff. Reasonable price with quality food. Don't expect the Hongkong standard's dim sum here. The have their own style but is delicious too.

Simple local dim sum thai style. All the dishes taste the same. More for local community here. Definitely not for those highend Cantonese Dim Sum lover.

👍 Really cool place which our kids loved. We had lunch and drinks, the drinks are a bit of a novelty and the kids in particular love them. The traditional Thai food for lunch was fantastic and the Western meals we had were just good. Overall a really nice place and I would recommend worth a stop.

👍 One of the popular place to get roti in Phuket. There are some interesting choices of roti such as roti banana and roti with raisins. The roti is crispy and chewy which I enjoy the texture a lot. The curry chicken is good and I love the curry taste. The biryani rice is just average.
