MeeTonPoe Phuket Town

Restaurant

👍 More like 3.5 stars. This place was packed. But it was like a 15 mins wait for our party of 2. Tried their special dish, Mee Ton Poe. Which was okay, wasn’t what I was expecting. I think the they could’ve seasoned the dish better. What I liked the most was the pork intestine satay and chicken satay.... People often mention good, noodles, satay, pork, fried, Phuket, dish, Thai, noodle, delicious,

It wasn't what I was expecting after all the hype, the best part were the Pork Skewers served on the side! Maybe I am to western and there was too much going on in the noodles but it was very special. It was very good though in any case just a bit too much! Go and try for yourself though you probably won't be disappointed!

Quite a touristic place but locals eat here too. The food was amazing, especially at such a low price point. Having said that, there are other spots like this that have better noodles.

A very local, no frill, type of local eatery. They serve up some of the best fried noodle. The noodle tastes more Chinese than Thai in my opinion. Super yummy. Then you have an array equally yummy delicious sides like spicy Thai salads and barbequed skewered pork to choose form.

Delicious traditional noodles and dishes from a family that's been in the business here for decades. The signature noodle dish, mee ton poe, was delicious, decently sized, and a priced well at 80b. We also ordered hor mok, an egg curry custard steamed in banana leaves, which was flavorful and spicy. The service was cold and it seemed like nobody wanted to be there, which drew the vibe down.

The food is so good and cheap! The satay, noodles, friend prawn rolls and otah are my favourites. The lady staff could even speak Chinese! Definitely work make your way here for a good and satisfying meal!

The MeeTonPoe( Fried noodle with pork) is my comfort food whenever I visit Phuket. The fish cake is yummy as a starter. however I found the pork satay was little chewy and the peanut sauce was sweeter. Overall, it is always been a good choice for light lunch or after tea place.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Phuket town and it is also in the Michelin guide for one of the best places to eat in the city! All of the food is extremely fresh and I recommend getting the fried prawns as an appetizer! You will not be disappointed! Do keep in mind that this is one of the restaurants you have to visit early because they do sell out quite fast! If you arrive anytime after 3 pm you could be at a risk of missing out on some of their best menu options!

The restaurant is located at the clock tower of Phuket and very easy to find the parking lot. Stir fried hokkien with pork and raw egg is absolutely delicious. Chicken satay is the perfect side dish, satay, satay sauce is well cooked. The price is reasonable comparing to other restaurants in Phuket the touristy city of Thailand.

Came here based recommendation online, food was excellent and the Hokkien mee is the kind similar to those offer in Singapore but this one more wok hei

Second time coming here, re-ordered the noodles, pork satay and black pulut rice dessert.

The taste is normal but cheap. Quite slow cooking. Worth a try!

It’s nice, on the average level. It’s not like wow! You gotta eat here. But if you want to try local food that has been branded, then yeah, this place is for you. Warning - it’s super warm inside, bring your own electric fan.

Always crowded! Ordered Hokkein noodles, satay and Pad Thai. Love it. It’s really something to enjoy. Oh… drank Ovaltine ice. Malaysia only had Milo Ice.

Food was good, especially the satay. Deducted 1 star because they forgot about 1 of our order, and despite checking with the waitress twice on the food (which the waiter just brush our enquiries aside and keep saying coming soon) only the 2nd waitress went to the kitchen to check on the order and realised the initial order was not place. Apart from service, food was good. Particularly like the small packet of fried pork skin.

The pork skewers we ordered as an appetizer were delicious, although some of the flavors were unfamiliar to us. We visited with our children, but there were no baby chairs and the chairs were simple, so I don’t think the restaurant is suitable for people with children.

honestly, this is the first thai food store that i didn’t enjoy. flavors were too mild and its very obviously tailored to suit the tourist. pad kee mao wasn’t tasty at all and the fried tomyum noodles were way too salty.

During my visit to the original restaurant in Phuket, I decided to try their signature dish, the Fried Noodle 'Hok Kien' with egg. Although the noodle itself was enjoyable, I found the flavor to be a bit on the salty side, which may not be to everyone's taste. However, if you're a fan of noodles, it's still worth a try. I also had the Pork Satay, which was decent but didn't stand out as particularly special. While it may not have been a standout dish, it was still enjoyable enough. Considering that this is the original restaurant in Phuket, I would still recommend giving it a try if you happen to be in town. I's worth experiencing the originality and ambiance of the place.

The pork satay is delicious. The prawn spring roll is very crispy and good. This is my go to place every time I come to Phuket. The hokkien noodle is a must have.

Great spot for lunch with a variety of options. We ordered the pad Thai for 60 baht and a Thai iced coffee for 25 baht. Everything was really tasty and affordable. The service was decent considering it was a full house around 3pm, but it took about twenty minutes for our food to arrive. Overall good experience, and we recommend it!

A simple n practical little open air restaurant serving several dishes only. The service was alright, car parking was easy, not difficult to locate, surroundings were very acceptable and... The food was wonderful! Price reasonable.

Ordered Mee Ton Po with egg (all 3 types of noodles) and Pad Thai. Other than that the fried noodles had a generous amount of meat, felt it didn't really stand out in anyway - wouldn't have put it in Michelin Guide myself. Both dishes were too wet for fried noodles, and the horfun were on the very soft side. Have definitely had better noodles elsewhere in Phuket. Not to say it was bad, it just wasn't anything special.

It was pouring rain a quick glance seemed like a great place to get out of rain from... was hesitant at first but turned into a fantastic food experience. The atmosphere was rich with proud family history and the food was nothing short of outstanding!!! Total lucky stop... will go again soon!

Noodle is good but not as good as the one in LokTien. Shrimp is way too small. Satay is freshly barbecue and the sauce is good but pickle is bad bad bad... The vinegar is not good at all....

Recommended, Phuket menu. Mee Ton Poe is a fried noddle with pork or seafood. And Mee Tom Yum is so spicy yummy.

This is quite a popular street food “restaurant.” They have tables and chairs, but it’s a very basic setup. In fact, it looks like a construction site. The noodles were flavorful, but the winner was the shrimp spring roll plate. Worth a try if you’re in the area.

Tasty local-style street food. The family has been in the noodle business for about 100 years, so they know what they are doing. Smaller-sized portions for the price point -- lots of locals eating here, but they definitely cater to tourists. Must try the signature hokkien noodles with the egg -- very good.

🫤 Not worth the money. Food is a 3/5 stars but I gave a 2 stars rating due to how expensive the food is compared to most restaurants in Phuket. The crab curry is essentially crab meat in green curry which did not taste amazing, the rest of the dishes were average and the only thing that was great was...
