Arrived to a closed Hogfathers :( but as luck had it the owner and MASTER SMOKER saw us we were about to drive off. He had been up all night and smoking for the last 18 hours. So happy we didn’t miss the opportunity to try! Nailed the tasting platter and ordered homemade smoked sausage (not to be missed) and added some extra sides - don’t miss out on the beans. What an awesome lunch!! Planning our return already. Very VERY humble owners - the couple survived through this difficult time and running this place by themselves can’t be easy - but they are doing an excellent job! Phuket is a better place because of people like them!!

Recommended. We (2 person) ordered the mixed platter with mashed potatoes and coleslaw together additional we took the curly fries. The meat was really tender and very delicious. Curly fries crispy and tasty. Staff was friendly. Best BBQ so far in Phuket.

Update. May 19 2023. Disappointed. After a long visit returned tonight for another fantastic dinner. Ordered the sampler, it was ok. The fabulous beer selection is now Thai draft beer only. Had a Leo out of desperation, paid the price on the trip home. Counter service only, tables cleared when guests leave. Disappointed is really an under statement. Fantastic!! I tried the low and slow sampler and was blown away! Delicious is a understatement! Washed down with a cold Amercan import beer. 2 Days later! I was so impressed with the barbecue that two days later I brought some friends and family for a return feast. We ordered individual portions of the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, of course had to have some coleslaw and a Caesar salad. Everything was absolutely delicious! Had to keep the guests from licking the plates.

We went there after reading reviews on trip advisor and I'm so glad we made the effort was more than worth it. Food was absolutely mind blowing. I love BBQ and I met the Hog Father who is a BBQ guru and that's a fact. This man went to Austin USA for two months to improve his BBQ game and the results you will find are quite clearly on the plate. We were treated to a little tour of his bbq setup and it was so impressive the dedication is clear. We had the sampler and that consisted of pork ribs pulled pork brisket and we had sides of curly fries coleslaw and pickles and jalapeños. Added some mayo and their honey mustard sauce and we were #winning. Take a trip here it is absolutely wonderful

I have heard a lot of good things about this place and was not disappointed. A little off the main road but really worth coming here for authentic USA style BBQ.

Order the sampler (brisket, pulled pork, and ribs) on your first time. The service is great (told me not to order too much), and food is served fast and piping hot. Personally I love the curly fries, brisket, and mashed potatoes.

The most delicious pulled pork I’ve ever tried in Phuket. Perfect ribs and tasty brisket, but maybe just a little bit dry. My recommendation is to try meat plate with these three meat which served with mashed potatoes, coleslaw or french fries. Burgers is also mouthwatering

Best bbq in Phuket! All the food is incredible- smoked and slow cooked order and pay at the bar before you sit down. I recommend the Brisket but it’s all delicious!

One of the BEST Pulled Pork sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. I know that’s a bold statement to make, I used to own a butcher shop back home in Canada and we slow smoked shoulders and made pulled pork all the time. If you are looking for smoked BBQ on Phuket look no further than Hogfather BBQ & More.

Came here to do a takeaway. Their opening hours is 3pm to 8pm. Recommend to come after 4pm as it seems like a small business when I came. The lady staff was very kind. Had no issue ordering. Tried the mixed platter and the meats were good!

We really enjoyed our dinner here. We went with the Platter plus some rings & fries. The brisket is easily some of the most tender we've ever tasted. Ribs & Pulled Pork delicious as well, not to forget the big mug of ice cold Chang Draft. Service was great, meal arrived quite quickly & all very tasty. We shall return should the opportunity present itself.

Owners cook the brisket themselves and it was the nicest brisket /ribs I have ever had. The sample plate and a side of chips is more than enough for two on a hot afternoon and the mash potatoes it comes with is heavenly and you can tell it’s made from scratch. Owners were lovely and the atmosphere with American country music was relaxing. Would definitely recommend this place. We were the only table in there and service and quality was top notch

Good place to visit if you are a Texas BBQ lover, very nice service by owners and never crowded. Respect for the good choice of draught beer, though there's no any liquor available.

THE BEST Authentic Texas Ribs I’ve EVER Had in my life! And I lived in America! Can you believe it? Juicy, the bone slide of the meat just by holding it! amazing sauce, fries are super fresh and crispy, super tasty pickles I’m telling you they should sell them! This high quality of ribs 0.5kg only for $380 baht!! Owner is super nice, he showed us the grill and the making of process! highly recommend this place to all meat lovers!! You won’t regret it!

For the pros very tasty BBQ! Brisket, pulled pork and ribs in the sampler were very good. To be honest the portion size for the price was disappointing. The sides of slaw and mashed were tiny. They have an odd service/ordering process. You go to the counter order then they bring to your table, If you want something, you have to go to the counter. More like a really expensive fast food joint. Really good food, wish it was more affordable and better restaurant experience.

Excellent food, comparable to the ribs and brisket back home in Melbourne. Service was also great and beer was on tap and well priced. Ribs were cooked well, smoky and fell off the bone.

As every other review here, I loved the Hogfather! The pulled pork was my personal favourite but the ribs and brisket very good too. We had to go back a second time before we left thailand, and cant wait to revisit again! One of the best BBQ meats we've eaten and perhaps the best in Phuket!

Took the family to the Hogfather, kids absolutely loved it, shared the sampler plate, great value, the brisket is exceptional! In fact I've never tasted anything quite like it! Will definately be back soon. Well worth a visit!

Proper smoked ribs and pulled pork, atomic wings deffo worth a try, awesome homemade bbq sauce, very kind hosts. If you like this kind of food you really wont be dissapointed, everything was tasty, portion size great and the price very fair. 100% reccomended! Thank you guys.

I was raised in Texas, I know my US BBQ styles. I’ve been looking for actual authentic American BBQ for many years in Thailand, this place has it!! After eating here, I have to say…this is the BEST bbq place I’ve tried anywhere in Thailand. The Hogfather mainly has Texas Style BBQ. If you know anything about Texas BBQ, the Hogfather learned some of his skills at (the famous) Franklin BBQ in Austin Texas. The sauce here is made by scratch and so delicious I wish he sold the sauce by the bottle. Being from Texas, I highly recommend the brisket! They make their own Texas-style brisket cooked for 14+ hours! The pulled pork and ribs are delicious as well. We started with ordering the sampler with my wife and it was plenty of food for 2 people. I’m not kidding when I say THIS place has authentic Texas bbq!!! Come to the Hogfather and leave full & happy!
