Phuket Botanic Garden

Tourist attraction

😐 The Gardens were probably amazing pre covid but they seem to have been let go for years. There is only one staff member who is an older Thai gentleman who doesn't speak English. We still had a good time wandering around and feeding the fish. It is not worth 500 baht. Maybe 50 baht. Hopefully it is... People often mention garden, nice, worth, fish, plants, Thai,

The experience for sure not worth 500 B. We entered through the side, not main entrance, although it was the middle of the day. The place looks abandoned. There was no one inside, no guests, no keepers. By the end of the walk which took about an hour we saw one Thai man who did not speak English. Plants did not look taken care of and some facilities should for sure be restored. We enjoyed our time there, just not worth the money. If you come inside, feed the fish for sure, they seemed very hungry. You might have a better experience if you’re an influencer looking for cute pics spots or if you bring a beer or lunch to stay longer and sit down. But beware of insects which will eat you alive, bring long sleeves or a repellent.

In other countries, botanical garden is a huge nice forest with a lot of different plants. Here it's a half-closed small set of insta zones with some plants in a not good state. Doesn't worth to go there for free, but it cost 500THB :)

Very big variety of plants and trees but not worth the 500 baht for the entrance. There are several theme parks (with just palm trees or cactus for example) but there are only a few name tags on them, so you don't really know what you are seeing. Also there are too many mosquitoes, which is kinda expected, ok.

I was the only visitor at 11am. Certainly nothing very special in here. I needed some quiet time. Which I mostly got. Except for the piped music. The themed gardens look a little bit like a 14 year old did them for a rushed school project. If you need a break from too much city noise. Go. If you're looking for botanical excellence or ideas for your own garden buy a magazine

Nice place to wander around for say 40 minutes. Peaceful away from the traffic. Good parking, hardly anyone there when I went. No butterflies in butterfly house. Can feed fish with a cheap bag of food. Different themes, nice orchids. 500 Baht entry...

Large, outdoor garden scenes with many Instagram-worthy scenes. Definitely bring bug spray or buy it when offered. Short on education and identification but lots to see anyway.

Paths are quite slippery. Some of the decking is very worn and dangerous - feels like it will give way underneath you. Fish pond seemed very over crowded. There was an adult peacock and peahen and a couple of of peachicks kept in two small cage enclosures. The chicks seemed distressed in the cage next to the adult peacocks - pecking at the divide. There was also tortoise in with the young peacocks, with a tiny bowl of water to get into. Not sure these animals should be housed together, one of the chicks was pecking at the tortoises face. It's cruel how the animals are kept. Would not recommend.

Hi everyone! I have visited this garden with my BF. What i am feeling after visiting? Just i am so sad about the garden. Looks like nobody care about it since 2020. Cashpoint was closed, main entrance also :( Old Thai man called us into souvenir shop to buy tickets 500 bat for one person. Plants Look less healthy than Just Plants near to the Road. In orchid garden the was Just 1. In lotus garden there were not any lotus. Butterfly garden was not open (seems like it does not exisxt more)... Museum became. Useum I would like to see garden when it was nicely cared and maybe price 500 bat was sincere. But now it doesnt worth it to see sad garden paiyng so high price. I hope they Will survive and repair their Beautiful garden.

Netty. Was. Here. Such a stunning space and very large area to get lost in a magical garden displays. Many seperate spaces to enjoy with statues; plant life and even a waterfall to wander underneath! I was blown away with how beautifully done this botanical gardens are.. and with such expansive space to wander through.. with still so much more potential with existing space and buildings located throughout the property this could be a national treasure for Phuket.

Nice botanic garden with various sections. Entrance fee is 100 for Thai nationals and 500 for foreigners. The place is well maintained albeit a bit small. It takes about 1h - 1.30h to see everything. Do bring water, some snacks and mosquito spray. The shop is closed so you can't buy anything on site and the mosquitoes will have a feast on you if you aren't prepared.

One of my favorite places in Phuket. If you love nature, it's a must to visit. 2 small lakes and a beautiful waterfall in the Rain Forest area its so nice. Butterfly garden is not available anymore in this times. Before was pretty nice. The atmosphere is so quiet and the music in the background it's in perfect sinergy with the surrounding.

I visited this place yesterday in raining season. It is beautiful, full of interesting plans, a lot of orhids and fish ponds. There is relaxing music in the background. The gentleman at the reception is really nice, kind and helpful / it is reccomended to use mosquito spray in this season // great place for relax and nice photos :)

So glad that I didn’t listen to all the negative comments and visited this stunning place! This garden could seem a bit abandoned, but definitely NOT repulsive or unpleasant. It is still beautiful and impressive! And what’s even more important, these days, when Phuket is overloaded with tourists, this place is soooo relaxing and calm. It is totally worth visiting! The garden is big and full of wonderful plants. Ponds are full of fish, and you may feed them if you want to :)

It seems like Covid affwcted a lot the garden. It looks abounded and unkempt. The attraction is definitely not worth 500 bt.

100 for Thai 500 is excessive for a foreigner, just over an hour in there was very nice but I would think 250 would have been more realistic, nice way to kill a hot morning, only go if you like tropical plants and want to chill in a nice garden.

We visited the botanical garden just a few days ago. We were the only people there, which was nice as it was quite and peaceful. They have some lovely places to takes photos and some great plants and big fish! The mosquitos gave me a fright ! My husband legs were literally covered! Thank goodness, I had some spray on me. The reason I gave it a 4 star is because the butterfly garden was in ruins (closed).

This was a bit disappointing. You had to pay to go in 1000bht ($50) for two. Needs some TLC. Lots of lovely wall plaques. It was nice to walk around but not worth the money. Our photos make it look good. The entrance looks amazing.

👍👍 Truly one of the most memorable moments of my life. I didn’t ever imagine myself seeing a healthy, happy and playful tiger in real life. Even less so that I would actually PET one!! 👍 Was a 45 minute drive from Patong but the zip wires made it worthwhile. We've done GoApe in the UK and this was much better. The zip lines are much higher and longer, and you get to fly over the jungle! The views across the bay were also a bonus. Unfortunately the ATV was a bit tame 🫤. You follow a...

😠 I'll always regret riding an elephant. I was an inexperienced traveler. These animals are extreme intelligent and the level of pain they must endure to become docile is unimaginable. Refrain from supporting this type of activity.

😠 ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! We went to this place to see elephants but when we arrived their feet were chained together in a tiny enclosure whilst they were visibly distressed trying to move. With lots of research suggesting that elephants are very advanced creatures, this is especially cruel and disgust...
