This is my fourth year volunteering at Soper Creek, a rewarding and exciting experience. It involves feeding (the fun part), and cleaning (the not so fun but necessary part) such animals as foxes, porcupines, skunks, bobcats, a great horned owl, a lynx and a badger. My sister took part in a tour and was excited to have the opportunity to pet a porcupine and feed the foxes. I recommend this to anyone interested in learning about these animals and the work Soper Creek does to care for orphaned and injured animals, and prepare them for release.

This is an amazing place with incredibly dedicated staff and volunteers helping to rehabilitate sick and injured wildlife or providing a natural environment for those who cannot return to the wild. Wonderful learning opportunities for young and old. I took my Mother and daughter for a tour last year and they still talk about it. The only income is from donations and educational camps/tours - no government funding at all yet they are inspected constantly and required to meet rigorous standards set by the Ministry in order to keep licenses they must pay for. I am so proud to have a facility like this in my back yard.

Very unprofessional. Rude, False advertising and non compassionate. I signed my daughter up for summer camp. They advertised they had a full running washroom trailer. The 1st day my daughter told me that all they had were outhouses. I was shocked! I called up and Stephanie (Owner) advised me that they had to take them out week #2 because it cost too much to keep it clean. I informed Stephanie that my daughter has a medical condition and needs a full washroom facility. I Told her that I would provide a doctor's note. She advised me if I provided a note she would refund me the rest of the week. In the end Stephanie only refunded me 3 days. Stephanie refuses to answer why I'm only being refunded for 3 days?? Such poor business ethics and professionalism. You can't advertise something and then not provide it to your customers!!! Especially for medical reasons!! Will never EVER support this business again!

My family and I recently did the Lynx Love wildlife workshop at Soper Creek Rescue and loved it. The grounds were beautiful and the enclosures for the animals are right in the forest. You can see they really know how to take care of all the different species and are happy to share that information. We went in with the young lynx which was so wonderful but got to see from outside the ground hog, porcupines, bobcats, dingos, crows and more I can't even remember. We weren't permitted to see the rehab side of the property but know they are caring for a lot of orphaned babies now too. Worth every penny for the experience, for kids and adults !!

As a mother of a camper and a weekly volunteer, my experience with Soper Creek Wildlife has been amazing. My daughter raves about her camp experience and we have referred many other families who have also had wonderful camp experiences. As a volunteer, the owners, staff and other volunteers have been fantastic - we all share the values of providing our wildlife with the best care and educating the community about respecting and valuing our wildlife.

Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue is an amazing organization - an incredible staff of hard working, caring staff run this sanctuary. Without this group of dedicated people, many wildlife animals would not receive the care they need. The rescue fundraises in many creative ways to meet the heavy financial burden that comes with running an organization of this magnitude. A primary focus is educating the public about wildlife - through day camps for children, classroom seminars and public appearances at local events. My grandchildren thrive at day camp - it’s always the highlight of their summer vacation. Our family is so grateful for the incredible staff at Soper Creek Wildlife. Keep up the amazing work!

My daughter just finished a week of camp and she absolutely loved it! Everyday when we picked her up she was full of excitement and couldn’t wait to share all the new things she learned and fun activities she did. We will absolutely be back next year!

Wonderful place to take your kids for a tour or even just for adults. We did the 3 hour tour and it was worth every penny! Staff is knowledge about wildlife, and our tour guide Leah was absolutely amazing!

My son has attended camp here for 3 summers and 2 March breaks, he's loves it so much that he also had his birthday party here! He has learned so much about animals through Soper Creek.

Christmas with wildlife. It was a perfect evening for a walk through the woods. Presentation well done and christmas light display so nice. I even bought tickets for another evening for a family gift.

My daughter has been a participant in day camps here since junior kindergarten. Wonderful spot, excellent staff, and a great cause. Staff teach about conservation and care. Couldn't recommend it more.

The kids loved their summer camp experience last week! They were excited to meet the animals, play in the creek, and build forts. They were sad when camp week was ending so we will definitely be back! We’ve previously done a wildlife experience day and that was also really fun and informative. Thank you!

The place is very well maintained in a relaxing forested area. The animals are adorable and they don't look depressed like in a typical zoo. The staff are very knowledgable and take very good care of them. We were surprised they brought us inside a few of the cages where we could pet the porcupines and the dingo. They also have a groundhog, a lynx, a coyote, foxes, crows, turtles, and snakes. It all depends on what they got rescued and what they can release back in the wild.

I called about a squirrel in my back yard with 2 broken legs that needs help and they told me they will not come and help it. What kind of animal rescue doesn’t actually rescue animals. Disgusting

I have been involved with Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue for several years, volunteering, participating in events, and even using their services when I found an injured squirrel. My experience with them has been nothing but positive. The owners, staff and volunteers are fantastic, organized and friendly. They run so many great programs, and the animals are well cared for. Being an advocate for animals, I couldn't be more pleased that Durham now has a wildlife rescue, and it has been such a positive experience to see the involvement from the community for such an amazing cause!

I did the 'Wildlife Experience' and was very impressed. Our tour guide Leah was so educational, cheerful, and kind. We got to interact with many of the animals, feed some of them, and learn about how they got to Soper Creek and much more. Well worth the price of admission. Thanks!!
