August 10, 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the most delightful experience at Dessert Lounge and Cafe in Pickering! I came across this gem during the 2023 Scavenger Hunt organized by the Pickering Public Library. It turned out to be a perfect post-birthday treat that left me with a big smile and a satisfied sweet tooth. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff. The ambiance of the place immediately put me at ease, and it was clear that they take great pride in maintaining a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. I opted for their signature dessert, "A Million Reesons," from their menu. This featured a generous scoop of Moose Tracks ice cream, with Reese's pieces, dark chocolate curls, and drizzled with a combination of peanut butter sauce and hot fudge. What truly stood out was the attention to detail and quality. The ingredients were clearly of the highest standard, and the presentation was impeccable. I also want to commend the staff for their exceptional service. They went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was memorable. Their friendly demeanor and eagerness to assist made my time there even more enjoyable. If you're in Pickering and have a craving for delectable desserts served with a side of warm hospitality, I wholeheartedly recommend paying them a visit. I hate that it took me to long to visit this Cafe. We went in the late evening and the owner(I think) was so friendly. She provided great recommendations and conversation. The teas and the cakes are soo delicious and the cafe is super cute. I got the Biscoff Cookie Cheesecake cake and a Vanilla Tea.

😋 Yummy, it tastes so good and fresh. Enjoy the waffle 🧇. The café is exceptionally beautiful! Everything about this café is dazzling and the ice cream is extremely wealthy in flavour. Can't wait to try the rest of the items on the menu.

This place is absolute perfection. From the warm presence of the staff there, the decor, the ambience, and the presentation and quality of the food and drinks, there was not one thing about my visit here that I can say was bad. There are so many delicious menu items that you will want to come back for more before you have even left. The Dessert Lounge really goes above and beyond expectations. Thanks for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back for more!

The owner is great and the ambiance is nice. The plaza can seem a bit busy but this place was a pocket of calm. The place can seat approx 36 people I think but let's say 30+ to be safe. Lots of dessert options to choose from here. The Red Velvet cake was moist and I appreciated the coconut whipped cream with the vanilla ice cream and the drizzle. Very generous portions. The coffee was nice and the espresso was good. The drinks platting was visually stunning and the drinks were served with a heart shaped sugar cookies is the best way to describe and not a biscotti which is fine and were good. Honey Cake was nice. It get better the deeper you get into the cake and you can taste more of the moist honey Cake near the center as opposed to the first or second bite. The great thing about this place is that currently they have closing hours close to midnight. Great place for some lengthy conversations, date night or a small get together. Will definitely come back here.

One of the best place for desert and coffee in town. Service was really quick and staff were really nice and friendly. Had a great time. Food quantity and quality was excellent and prices were also pocket friendly. Loved to be here will be visiting here again.

Found a peaceful quiet place, perfect for an evening date. We ordered saffron paradise and ginger twist along with carrot cake. Everything was really well presented and the server was friendly. We will come back :)

Went to pick up some burgers and saw this place in the plaza...went just to see what they had and when asked, she told me they had vegan/dairy free options...perfect for us. We picked a dairy free vanilla cinnamon milk shake and a crepe with vanilla ice cream, all of which was dairy free and totally delicious. The lady that assisted us was pleasant and helpful and overall seemed like a really nice person. We will be back "fuh sure" ☺️

Awesome customer service. I love the vibe here and the decor is stunning. Came for a tea with my SO at night and had an amazing time. The drinks were flavourful and the red velvet cake was delicious. Definitely have to visit again!

I accidentally stumbled upon Dessert Lounge after going to one of the restaurants next door and I was absolutely shocked about all of it. The aesthetic of the store, the polite service, the presentation of the food and drinks, and the taste of it is all high class at a reasonable price. I had the carrot cake and the Malo’s Pink Tea and they were amazing. There is no dessert cafe as gorgeous and delicious as Dessert Cafe

Delicious desserts!! The interior is very clean, well lit and beautifully done. I really like that their desserts are scrumptious but not overly sweet. I highly recommend their holiday and strawberry cheesecake waffles as well as Shiryakh (Afghan ice cream)

Where do I start…walked in with no expectations just saw it driving by. I was craving something sweet. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted so warmly and you just feel like you know the staff. The owner (I’m presuming) was very sweet and reassured my choices. I ordered the red velvet cake with Milo’s Pink Tea….12/10. The moistness of the cake and the deliciousness of the tea. I took one sip as I exited the door, stopped walking and had to go back and tell them how tasty the drink was. Super cute inside to take insta pics for all you Kim Ks of Durham Region. Great for date night.

This place looks nice and the atmosphere is great. We had the Hazelnutty waffles and ice cream. The dessert had a good presentation but the quality and the taste were very normal. The texture of waffle was a bit soggy and the ice cream wasn’t tasty. Definitely had tastier waffles and ice cream elsewhere. However, the customer service was excellent and the waitress was friendly and helpful.

Ouuu - dessert anyone? 🤭 This little shop is a must visit for sure. Cute and cozy place with plenty of options to choose from, all at very reasonable prices with great portion sizes. If all this wasn’t enough, the staff/customer service was a 10/10 for sure. Definitely going back for more / worth checking out if your in the area ☺️

Beautiful cafe in Pickering. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Customer service was also on point. The waitress was very responsive to our needs. Food presentation was also excellent. I tried their lava cake and it was moist, chocolatey, and decadent. Great spot for a date or friends get-together.

Great place for a nice coffee and desserts. We were trying to find a spot for nice coffee that is not just Tims or Starbucks. Love their decaf and my husband had iced latte that was great too! We are definitely going back again! Also, very nice staff as well!

Headed over to this dessert lounge located in a small busy corner of Pickering. The cafe was incredibly clean, decorated in millennial pink, with a dedicated spot for the Instagram peeps. The food was mediocre at best. There was only one server but she was great (although I found it weird to be served water AFTER we placed an order, awkward etiquette). I don’t think I’d come back for the food but I definitely would come back to hang out with company + for the atmosphere because it was a great overall experience. The pricing was incredibly decent for the quality + presentation of the food.

Ordered pink tea and chocolate cake with ice cream. Both dishes were good. Service is very good. Atmosphere is good. Good addition to Pickering. Must try if you have sweet tooth.

This place is beautifully decorated in pink and white with soft chairs, good music and of course great desserts. You will especially like the heart shaped cake waffles and ice cream choices. This restaurant features a spot to capture selfies/photos, as well as seating for you and your friends/date to enjoy a variety of sweet treats.

I love coming across female-owned businesses, especially when the place is "instagrammable" and offers a great spot to hangout over dessert. I've been seeing Dessert Lounge often on social media for a while now, so I was very excited to try it. It's easy to find the unit in the plaza as it stands out. The moment you step in, you almost won't feel like you're in Pickering. The interiors are beautiful - pink, florals and very comfy seating (plus the tables are well spaced out so you don't feel too close to other people). The staff are also very friendly and welcome you with a warm welcome and smile. Menu is available online and a QR code is available at every table. There's a lot of variety on the menu and a terrific selection, it almost makes it hard to choose what to get because everything sounds delicious. Here's some of the items we ordered: • Masala Chai Latte ($7.25): what I loved is not only the taste with the hint of cinnamon, but the presentation was super cute. It came with a flower and two heart-shaped palmiers. • Milkshakes - French Cinnamon & Spiked ($9.95): the perfect drink to wake you up or if you're looking for the perfect hint of coffee. The lotus drink tasted exactly like a lotus biscuit so it made for the perfect dessert. • Signature Creations* - Choco Coco Crepe ($18.95) & Holiday Waffle ($19.95): I would've ordered waffles for both if I knew that the waffles would turn out to be my favourite. The batter was great abd the taste was even better. I loved the addition of the coconut shavings. The ice cream that came with the desserts were also of a very generous portion/scoop! I love having the option and the great balance between fruity and chocolatey dessert because I feel like most dessert shops focus more on chocolate desserts and don't offer the same kind of balance/variety. For someone who also doesn't usually like waffles, I wasn't expecting to love the waffles as much as the crepe so this was a sweet surprise. • Carrot Cake ($12.75): I didn't get to try it since I was quite full but when I brought it home, it finished quickly which tells me it was delicious. I chose carrot cake as it looked different to the other cakes I've seen and I loved seeing that it has a lot of almonds And now for my favourite item: the Strawberry Cheesecake Croffle ($13.95). Super soft and so good. It was the ultimate chef's kiss Other items I'd like to try include: the cream rolls, saffron tea and the shiryakh (this is an Afghan own dessert shop, so they do have some authentic Afghani desserts too!) Items were really well presented. I'd prefer less powdered sugar but otherwise it was so nice.

Thank you to Dessert Lounge and your server Prince for looking after our party of 15 with a late Saturday night last minute post-dinner dessert reservation. The hostess kindly welcomed us to our table and helped add more chairs and an extra table to fit everyone. Prince, our server, had excellent customer service skills, was very kind, patient, friendly, and hard-working. He deserves a raise! There is a small corner in the shop decorated with a floral arrangement that everyone enjoyed as a backdrop to take photos with. We enjoyed a delicious and exceptionally presented assortment of cake, hot chocolate, teas, waffles, ice creams, and milkshakes. I personally can vouch for the red velvet cake and Belgian milk chocolate hot chocolate (highly recommend!). After our meals the staff were kind enough to let us light candles and cut a birthday cake we had brought to celebrate 2 birthdays. This is the best dessert spot in Pickering and I will gladly return the next time I'm in town.

It is a very cute cafe and we went for dessert. Their workers are so kind and considerate. The environment is peaceful and the decorations on the desserts are fantastic. Their waffle desserts and their hot chocolates are delicious. Absolutely recommended, we went twice already and it was amazing both times.

Food was amazing! Ordered chicken & waffles one day, came back for a strawberry cheesecake croffle another! Owner was super nice as well; checking on my party to make sure everything was fine. She even asked for feedback both times I went. I would legitimately come everyday if I could. *Edit* I never usually leave reviews but this place deserves it for sure.
