Had a reservation set for the evening. Great location with some history behind it. There is an roof top patio which looks great for the views. We were greeted and lead to our table. Server was friendly and attentive. Ordered some drinks and of course to check out the tap beer made on site. We ordered some appetizers to start and things came in-good order, not rushed, enjoy some drinks while we looked over the menu. So many great selections! Overall very impressed with the experience and can’t wait to return to check out some of the other great food/drink items. Please hit the like button if you agree.

This place is amazing! I’ve eaten here recently on a Thursday night for the first time and it was very very good. Nice restaurant were great ambience and even greater servers . We had a very friendly sever who made our dining experience even better. I ordered the steak salad and my date ordered the chicken finger and friends. Also ordered a couple drinks. I will for sure be back to try other menu items.

Went there for the first time with the Wife and thoroughly enjoyed our time and experience. Upstairs was a spacious and fresh and as busy as it was, there was no delay in service. The food was great, loved the fusion element! Our waitress was on point and the staff were all professional. Will be going back.

Dined in on Friday night for dinner close to 8:30pm. The Food experience and ambience was great as usual. Had been there many times before for drinks and food. The food is pricey and tasty. But the only difference this time was that the service sucked to be honest and the fries came a bit soggy with used oil smell . Not sure what happened there. The server was looking tired and rushing to bring take out boxes without even us asking for it. Didn't show interest in what she was doing and this in turn affects the customers moods and the experience. The last time we had been there the server was amazing and very friendly. Hope it gets better.

Exceptionally friendly staff. Spacious and well decorated venue with eclectic vibes. Comfortable and chic. Well portioned and cooked dishes with a good variety. Tried butter chicken nachos and hot chicken this time and they were excellent. Would recommend and visit again.

We were early for our reservation, so we were directed to the lounge upstairs. Amazing vibe, live music, great beers. The food was excellent. We ordered an appetizer and even that was too much. Ended up taking half my dinner home. Our server was lovely, even after working a double shift. Always smiling and chatty. Will absolutely go back.

The service was great, but the food was just “okay”.. For the price point I would rather spend my money elsewhere to be honest. We most likely won’t be coming back for a while as nothing stood out to us in particular other than the service. A little disappointed as I’ve seen a lot of other great reviews from other people.

Oysters were so fresh. The mussels in Thai sauce were also delicious. Wagyu burger and Nashville hot chicken sandwich were both yummy too. Vibe is good, food is great and lots of delicious drinks too. Our server was super nice and gave us some great recommendations for food and drinks. 10/10 recommend this place. Good place for date nights! Definitely a little gem in Durham region.

First time visiting this bistro. Was seated promptly and our server was friendly. We ordered the 12welve Angus burger with fries. Burger was juicy, perfectly cooked and very good. Food arrived quickly. Atmosphere was very loud so difficult to have a conversation. In terms of service, the server spent the entire time socializing with other servers that were seated at a table in sight of the customers. This was very unsightly, distracting and in my opinion unacceptable as other establishments have their staff areas away from customer view. It made my experience much less enjoyable. We weren’t checked on by our server during the meal nor did we receive extra ketchup that we requested. Would’ve liked to be informed that the mini serving of gravy would have an extra $2 charge. Spent $60 with tip (no drinks) for two entrees which i found a little exorbitant for burgers.

The food never disappoints at 12welve! The servers are always friendly. The portions and taste of the food justifies the price, in my opinion! I've tried and loved: fish and chips, spicy burrata flatbread, signature bistro fingers (spicy BBQ) with sweet potato fries (see pic). Their regular fries are crispy and seasoned well as well.

If you are in and around whitby, you should check out this gastropub 12welve! I recently dined at Twelve Bistro and Tapwerks, and I must say, it was really good. Their Korean cauliflower and Korean burger was super delicious! Overall I was very impressed with the experience! Little in a pricier side

I’ve yet to have a bad experience at 12welve but was very disappointed with my last visit. I ordered the fish tacos (which I have had many times before) and was given the smallest portion of fish with a huge amount of batter. For the price of these tacos I would expect more consistency in their portion sizes. This felt like a rip off. I likely won’t be ordering these again and would recommend others to avoid as well.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Twelve Bistro and Tapwerks, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. From the moment we stepped through the door until the moment we left, the exceptional service, warm ambiance, and delectable cuisine combined to create an awesome working lunch. I must commend our server, Tori, for providing us with impeccable service. Her friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and extensive knowledge of the menu made our dining experience truly delightful. Tori's passion for her work shone through, as she guided us through the menu, recommended the perfect pairings, and ensured that our glasses were always topped up. Her genuine warmth and enthusiasm elevated our lunch to another level. What truly impressed me was when the general manager, Craig personally visited our table. It was evident that the staff at Twelve Bistro take great pride in their establishment. The general manager's visit not only showcased their commitment to ensuring each guest's satisfaction but also demonstrated the dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout our stay. This personal touch made us feel like valued guests and added a touch of luxury to our dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! The culinary creations at Twelve Bistro and Tapwerks are nothing short of extraordinary. The moment the first dish arrived, I knew we were in for a treat. And it did not disappoint! The star of the evening was undoubtedly the flatbreads. Bursting with flavors, each bite was a symphony of taste, leaving me yearning for more. The perfect balance of toppings, the freshness of the ingredients, and the skillful execution by the chefs left me in awe. It's safe to say that the flatbreads at Twelve Bistro and Tapwerks are an absolute must-try! My experience at Twelve Bistro and Tapwerks was beyond exceptional. From the outstanding service provided by Tori to the personal attention from the general manager, Craig the level of care and dedication exhibited by the staff was truly commendable. And let's not forget the incredible culinary delights, with the flatbreads stealing the show. If you're looking for a dining experience that combines top-notch service, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding cuisine, look no further than Twelve Bistro and Tapwerks. It's an absolute gem that I highly recommend, and I can't wait to return for another chef's kiss-worthy meal! Niki Forget Pineapple Media

Fantastic! Beef brisket Mac n cheese, Sopressata Flatbread and jerk chicken with shrimp pasta. All three were hot and delicious. Honestly one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will definitely return.

Servers are friendly, swift and very engaging. Food were served quicker than expect giving the amount of food we ordered. Quality and taste were above and beyond especially the duck fat fries came with actual duck meat. Rigatoni were spot on, just right amount of sauce and spice. The burger served with pork stomach. Also this place doesn't play around with the spiciness. Hot is actually proper spicy that give you sweats. Parking is a bit tricky but not impossible. Will definitely visit again and try out different dishes.

NEVER FAILS :) Again very impressed with the Amazing Guest Service , FOOD QUALITY /TASTE and Menu Innovation. Will want to try every item on the Menu as I believe it would be just as good as the 6 menu items we tried so far …… worth the travel from Pickering to Whitby skipping all restaurants in between . Yesterday tried the Jerk Angus Burger and Thai Chicken Curry …. Yummy

Service was fantastic but food not so much. Fish and chips — batter was so doughy on both orders we had to pick out the fish from the uncooked batter. Braised beef with penne — beef cubes were chewy and not what you’d expect from something braised. Butter chicken nachos were good. Would not spend that kind of money here again.

I had just completed a tour of Brock St brewery, located in the same building. It was a very interesting tour, complete with complimentary samples. We stopped in at 12welve Bistro, located on the ground floor of the same building. It's a restaurant/pub operated as a separate entity. My friend had the Coconut Curry Mussels and he really liked it. It looked and smelled really good. I would have tried it if I wasn't allergic to shellfish. Darn! My burger had two Angus beef patties, a slice of pork belly, smoked cheddar, their secret sauce, and a side of fries This was a really good burger! It was thick, flavourful, and juicy. The fries were really good too! I've dined here in the past and everything has always been really good, including the ambiance, and service. If you haven't been here, give it a try!

Went there a couple of weeks ago while I was in town visiting family. It was one of the best meals Ive had in quite a while! The oysters were very fresh and very delicious, the wings were tangy and yummy, and everything else was spot on. The waitress was great as she allowed us to try some of the beers before we committed to one, although you can hardly go wrong with the offerings of Brock Street Brewery. The service was a bit slow but they were pretty slammed, and even though it was busy the staff was very friendly and never showed the stress they were probably under. The vibe is also really comfortable and welcoming, can’t wait to go back!
