I want to say that this is the cleanest claw machine arcade I've ever been to. You can see the attention to detail. At the same time, their machines are very good at grabbing dolls, which is different from other arcades I've visited before. Moreover, the quality of the dolls is quite good, which makes me feel safe for my kids to play with. The main point is that this place is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly.

DinoSumo Clawcity was a fantastic experience! The staff are enthusiastic and really nice. The plushies are good quality, and trade-in prizes are very good, too, with lots of variety. I was thrilled with all the Studio Ghibli merchandise, great if you’re a fan of Totoro or No-Face. I’d love to see some Sanrio characters too! This experience is not just for kids.

Would give zero if could. What an absolute rip off. Please avoid at all costs. Employee could see we weren't winning. Even propped the plushie so it's an easy win but the claws won't lift it. Absolutely a rip off. For that price you should win every time. Please save your money people, I can't stress it enough

Place is rigged, the claw can barely hold anything and loses grip as soon it picks up anything, leaving you super frustrated. Spent $50 and won nearly nothing, feeling scammed. Won’t be returning for sure! Save your money for elsewhere

Edited review as I revisited this location over a year later. Still 1 star. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Machines are still rigged hard. This time I accepted the assistance of the employee. The employee told me the machines are set to not allow a win for 3 tries, and that I should try a machine 3 times before asking for assistance. I tried a machine once, and the claw didn't grab. Employee helped me by stacking up the toys into a very tall tower with one at the top. That allowed me to get 1 toy. Took my remaining 3 tries to another machine, and the claw didn't grab onto the toy for all 3 tries. Just simply glided around the stuffed animal without moving it. This place is still an obvious scam, and for the price point ($20 for 5 tries, with at least 3 guaranteed to fail) it is absurd. Avoid this place at all cost. It is NOT WORTH IT and is paramount theft. Go to Vava in the Oshawa Center if you want to go, or Toronto. At least they make an attempt to grab the toys. ------------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW 1 STAR $40 for two stuffed animals. The claw machines are rigged HARD, where there is no grab force. ~~Please, avoid this place at all cost! Go to the one in the Oshawa Center instead! ~~ To elaborate: claw machines come with settings. The main one is a "winning grab", where the claw will hold on or "lock". As a business you want to make more money than you spend. So owners will set it so if a prize costs $5, and a play costs $5, then a winning grab will happen every $10. Whoever owns this place has that setting cranked so high, it's a paramount scam. And the worst part is rhat it's super blatant too. To the point where it's insulting. The claw doesn't grab and drop like you'd expect, it just doesn't grab at all. The employees set the prizes by hand to be on top of the piles and in the center, and the claw won't even budge them. In my time there, I had the employee ask me 3 times completely unprompted if I would like her to open the machine and reposition the prize. This place is so terrible even the employees know! If the owner would like some help testing their settings, I'm vgiving them an open invitation to reach out to me. As it is now, their reputation is going to tank and I'll be surprised if they last a year.

BUYER BEWARE. This place is totally sketchy. Gachapon always is. The stuff they sell is either extremely inflated ($60 for a $25 Gundam kit?!?) or is junk from Temu. Seriously half the statues on display are Chinese knockoffs that they claim are imported from Japan. The collectibles coins and bills are 100% ali express / temu. Do yourself a favour and use Google Lens or a similar app if you want to buy something outright. It'll save you money when you realize you can buy things cheaper elsewhere. 100% scam.

After reading reviews that said this place was "rigged" and that the positive reviews were paid for, I decided to check it out for myself. I chose the $50 option, which gave me 30 tokens and came with a bubble tea plushie as a bonus. Regarding the comment this place being pricy, in most places, $50 typically gets you around 100 tokens, with machines requiring an average of 3 to 6 tokens each. Here, however, machines require a maximum of 2 tokens, and only 1 token for smaller machines. If we ran calculations based on that, $50 will grant you about 16 to 33 tries in other places (at 3 tokens per machine) but about 16 tries here (at 2 tokens for 90 percent of the machines). In the end, I won 5 large plushies and 3 small ones. I wouldn’t consider this a scam based on my experience. I recorded my first 9 times of continuous gameplay, so you can judge for yourself. I have been visiting this location regularly and have also explored most of the claw machine spots in the GTA. This update reflects my latest experience. The membership program here isn’t as appealing as at other locations. Most arcades allow you to spend $100 and get automatically enrolled, but here, you need to pay a $40 annual membership fee. While it provides a slight discount on token purchases and tracks your points for you using their system, it feels less rewarding overall. (Especially token tracking is provided free in most places.) They have good deals during promotion and massive prize selection. They charge 2$ for bag, so bring your own.

Sumodino is such a fun and unique spot in Pickering! They’ve got an amazing selection of claw machines with great prizes. On top of that, they sell a wide array of cool merchandise, from plush toys to collectibles. The space is bright, clean, and welcoming, and they even have a great party room that’s perfect for birthdays or group events. Whether you’re just stopping by for fun or planning a celebration, it’s a great experience all around!

Pretty clean play area . Price is reasonable compared to most claw area . We paid our kids to play $10 for 5 tokens Party room is pretty cheap $80 .. considering them giving tokens for 1 bucks each claw trial during your birthday 🎂
