August 31, 2023 at 2:22 p.m. 🛑 BUTTERNUT SQUASH REAVIOLI is no longer on the menu! 😭 We dined at Billie Jax during lunchtime, savoring the relaxed and rustic ambiance of the barnyard setting provided by the establishment. Commencing our meal, we indulged in a refreshing chilled Pepsi. For our appetizer, we opted for the Calamari, which was accompanied by an exquisite combination of hoisin garlic sauce and a drizzle of ranch. The calamari was impeccably cooked, enhanced by the delightful addition of red and green peppers that contributed to the overall flavor profile. Perusing the lunch menu, I settled upon the Small Chicken Penne, featuring sautéed chicken and bell peppers, paired with a delectable Alfredo sauce. The dish proved to be exceptionally delectable and satisfying, to the point that the portion size was far from "small," as I ended up taking home leftovers. Meanwhile, my companion chose the Billie Jax Burger, accompanied by a Caesar salad. Their continuous praises about the burger's scrumptiousness and its ability to fill them up were hard to ignore. Remarkably, our waitress Emily left a lasting impression. Despite tending to over 10 tables single-handedly, she exhibited exceptional service. Her unwavering availability and attentiveness were evident as she memorized our orders and even recited them along with the specific modifications we had requested when placing the plates before us. Furthermore, the restroom facilities also garnered my approval for their cleanliness and upkeep.

First time here, was a little confused about how to get there in from the parking lot but who cares when Monday has half price wings! $8/lbs. we had 1lb of medium and 1lb of hot. Not too spicy and it was nice and sour. The special doesn’t come with carrots and celery but so worth it. Deep fried and breaded wings will definitely be ordered again.

A pretty good lunch spot if you're in the area. I came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon before catching a movie. The service was great, and the vibes were chill. The selection of food options was also pretty good. I got the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, but it also had the chance to try the chicken wrap, which is slightly different. Both were good in their own way. the fries were not my favourite but still pretty tasty. If you're a host sauce lover like myself, they have their house made hot sauce that they put on the Buffalo Chicken Strips, that you can try, but they will charge you $1 for it. They have lots of TVs to watch sports on as well. Overall, the food was pretty good, the service was fast & friendly. The prices were also pretty too!

First time visiting Billie Jax Grill & Bar. Ordered the Billie Jax Burger with Ceasar salad. The salad was simple and well put together. The burger was pretty hefty boasting an 8oz patty resting on cucumbers and coleslaw. Great texture combinations with the crunch of the cucumber and coleslaw. The calamari presentation was well put together and the drizzle of hoisen sauce was a nice touch. Great atmosphere with the wood beams and kinda rustic look. Service was exceptional by the waitress tending to all tables by herself, very efficient and didn't skip a beat.

Great bar! Clean well-kept spaces. Good food, superlative service! Brook was single handedly serving half a dozen tables and never let any of that exceptional hard work show on her. She was affable, responsive and swift with her work, kudos!

Terrible customer service from the moment that we walked through the door. A dirty wash cloth was dipped into a bucket of musty water and slathered over the table we were seated at. Once we sat down, we were left alone for at least 5 minutes. Menus arrived and the waitress took our drink orders (2 waters and a Pepsi) and disappeared for what felt like an eternity. Once we received our drinks, the waitress yet again disappeared. Upon her return, we proceeded to order two pounds of wings and selected the sauce type. After ordering, we inquired about the special and if we have to order a pop (which we had no objections of doing so). Only after asking this, it prompted the waitress to advise that there are no REFILLS on pop drinks when ordering wings. Two seconds after, she proceeds to advise that because it is half priced wings, that you do not get any dips or vegetables either. We left a $5 bill for the Pepsi and walked out to find another place to eat. Needless to say, we will never be coming back and we do not recommend. If I could rate this place I wouldn’t even give it one star.

Love the atmosphere here, the vibes are positive & relaxed. Great place to go to with friends or with a loved one. I wouldn't exactly say it's a kid environment as there was not a kids menu & caterer more to adults with a big size bar & lots of beer/drink selections (get a sitter). We ordered their special on Tuesday, half off wings & they were good in value & size but taste could have been slightly better. We tried Hot, Dusted Cajun, dry lemon & pepper & honey garlic. The top 2 favourites were the cajun and honey garlic. It was delicious & we kept going back to them. We weren't a fan of the lemon & pepper which was a bit of a shock, it had like a sugar taste to it that threw us off. Also the hot flavour was a disappointment as we love the heat, it is our normal go to but this flavour had an overloaded taste of vinegar & not so much in spice flavour - I hope they replace it with something spicy in flavour that make you want more & not get tired of it. Although I rated the food a 4 star this was based off of the lack of flavour in the wings. I still would give this place a 5 star overall as I really did enjoy this restaurant & looking forward to trying more of the menu as some of the meals coming out of the kitchen looked excellent!

Surprise Surprise for a restaurant in the East side of Whitby in a bit of a secluded location this place was definitely well worth the visit. The other customers and bartenders made for a fun and enjoyable experience. I had there union soup with their finest 8 Oz AAA black Angus steak. It tasted incredible. Never had a drink drink yet. However I'll be sure to next time. Everyone I could see in there were really enjoying themselves too. Well that was my first trip. About a month ago. Think it's time to go back and have that drink and take a few pictures.

I am a regular patron at this establishment, and I cannot praise it enough. The service here is consistently excellent. The staff is not only extremely friendly but maintains a welcoming atmosphere throughout the entire dining experience. For lunch, my go-to choice is the soup, salad, and bread combo, and it never fails to satisfy. The portion sizes are generous, providing a filling and delicious meal that makes for a perfect lunch. This review is based on one specific item on the menu. I love and often order a burger whenever I dine out. I have had the Mediterranean burger three times from Billie Jax and each time it did not disappoint. It is among top 5 best burgers I have ever had at a restaurant. Delish.

Amazing place, amazing staff and food! Only complaint is that someone in the kitchen dings the bell relentlessly if food is done. I can appreciate this as the food comes out fast but I think the kitchen needs to remember the servers are also trying to serve table inside and outside :)

Really loved my experience here. I had deep fried pickles as an app and they were so perfectly crunchy. For the main meal two pounds of wings and a Ceasar. Food was great, wings were a substantial size. My only gripe about it is they don't have enough variety when it comes to wing flavours. If they added a few more flavours like Garlic Parm, or Hot Honey it would be my go to wing place. My partner ordered a southern style chicken and it was so amazing. Nice crispiness to the chicken, seasoned so well. The Caesar was one of the best I've had in a restaurant. Our server was so nice and she checked in enough without feeling like she was bothering us. Atmosphere was also quite nice. I will be returning and making this location a go to spot to take people who live outside Whitby.

Needed to find a place for a quick bite because we only had 1 1/2 hours before we had to pick up our other son at a birthday party. Our server (Kyla) was super kind and helpful with our time crunch. The food was fantastic especially the Lobster Dip. My other son found the Keg urinals hilarious. What I also found refreshing is the number of TVs they had. Usually you have to move your head constantly to see what you want to watch. I had the luxury of having the Jays games right in front of my face and also in every direction I turned as well. We will definitely be back. Hopefully we will be able to stay longer and enjoy the atmosphere more.

Nice welcoming patio with friendly staff. There's always a "special" that people actually line to order. By the way "apps" are great and half off after 9pm. (Also during the Covid19 pandemic World Cup, tv's were brought outside, now that's an experience I won't forget 😍⚽📺

Food was delicious and service was the best. They've got a great Cobb salad, fresh and fulfilling! The sweet onion dressing (recommended by Shawn) 🤌 Our server, Shawn, was awesome! Great personality and excellent service! See ya next time!!

We had apps and steak at Billie Jax on Thursday night. The apps were 30% off which was a plus. We got the calamari and lobster dip. Loved the calamari and the lobster dip was good as well. The steak was cooked perfectly. I also got the Jax Caesar it was amazing and hubby got the coroniita which he enjoyed as well. We spent just under $80. And we both were stuff. Will definitely check them out again. The service was great too, nice vibe. And best thing it’s close to home in Whitby.

One of my favourite spots in Whitby. Food is always on point..tasty and plentiful for the portion sizes. Nice chill atmosphere, and usually great service. Only been once and the service was subpar, but maybe the waitress was having an off night. But would highly recommend as a place for a quick bite, watch the game or just some good food and nice atmosphere.

After such a pleasant experience yesterday with great service by Nicole (who hands down makes the best Cesar I have ever had) my sister and I enjoyed everything we had. Service was impeccable! Food was great. Good job Nicole. That being said, this afternoon my sister and I decided we wanted to come back and enjoy lunch and a Cesar again. We entered the restaurant and told the waitress (don’t know her name but she was working today at 2:30pm) that we wanted two Cesar’s. When they arrived they were not the same: so I kindly asked her to bring us some horse radish and a pickle and a menu. Yes I had to ask for a menu. When she returned she didn’t bring the menus. We were already disappointed with the Cesar’s not being the same but that wasn’t a huge deal. I asked her, miss can we please have Menus . That’s when she turned to us i from of two other customers and Rudley replied “yup I only have two hands” and that’s when we both decided that we were no longer interested and decided we would not be dining for lunch at Billy Jax. And we left. I hat a disappointing experience because we were so satisfied with yesterdays service we decided that was our new spot for Cesar’s and lunch. As of now we will not be returning if that waitress is there. I am a waitress and I assure you I would never treat customers that rudely EVER. And I would bring a menu first thing when I seat them to avoid having “both my hands full” if they had to ask. Yesterdays service though, with Nicole and the rest of the staff was amazing! Get that waitress some extra training

Went to Billie Jax on a Durham Region Eats recommendation. Ordered perogies (recommended) and bacon wrapped scallops for apps. Scallops were cooked almost to a dust. Ate 1 and it was like chalk. Let server know, she was amazingly understanding and refunded the dish. Mains, we ordered a wedge salad and Korean beef dish. Salad was good. Beef, tough and dry - overcooked. Unfortunately, we were all at a loss tonight.

Food was good. Server definitely could have been a lot more attentive. She was polite and made an effort to find the answers to our questions.! But styrofoam, non-recyclable take out??! Really?! Why? Because it’s cheaper than the alternative?! I asked to speak to the Manager about this. She was very uncomfortable. I tried to reassure her that I found no fault with her, only the company. I also am accountable as I specifically tried to remember to bring my own dish ‘just in case’ and yet forgot. Shame on both of us! No more plastic bags at stores, which break down a lot sooner, but places are still allowed to use styrofoam??! #6 !!!! Unacceptable! Re-election time! Look after the Earth for us, our children and our children’s children NOW!!

Had a good well priced lunch here the other day . They have a special on chicken wings on Mondays. My server was friendly and efficient. There is a good sized patio and ample inside seating. Enjoy their free Wi-Fi.

We enjoyed good service and large portions (we couldn't eat it all)!! Clean washrooms. My friend ordered wine they didn't ask what size. It was a 9 oz drink, too much for her. The restaurant was a little chilly but once our food arrived we didn't notice.

Positives- Nice patio. Good service Clean covid experience. Food- We both ordered the bbq 1/2 chicken dinner. Result- chicken looked and tasted like it was cooked hours ago. Bbq sauce added and heated on a grill. Chicken was cold when we got it. Gravy had film on top like it was sitting for awhile. Fries were cold and not very tasty. Not much to say about the coleslaw. We google mapped the area. This restaurant popped up with a 4.3 rating. It should have a 3.3. At the most Nothing fresh. Had 3 bites and it was time to locate new dinner place. First and last time. No 2nd chance.

Love their selection of craft beers. A bit on the pricier side, but it it fits with the décor of the restaurant. Their buffalo cauliflower bites are great.

Great vibes in this place, we were totally happy with our dinner. Irish Red beer is great, and steak and mushroom pie was beyond of all expectations. Will definitely make this our regular stop when in Whitby.

It was my first time eating here and it was quite nice, great selection on menu, with daily deals. Waitress was very nice and made sure everyone had what they needed in a timely manner. Highly recommend the coconut shrimp appetizer and seared salmon 👍

They have a good patio and the vibe is nice here. Food was good and everything was reasonably priced. I'll be coming back again and would add this place to my list of bars/restaurants to check out in Whitby.

Avoid ordering for take out! Please enjoy your meal inside instead! They provide great food and service in the restaurant. We ordered take out for the first time over the weekend and were really disappointed. We placed the order early and scheduled a pick-up time. I arrived about 5 minutes early to pick up. At that time they had not noticed that an order was put in on their system. I overheard the server say “Classic, it didn’t ring!” Making it sound like this wasn’t the first time it happened. The server did not say anything to me that they had not received the order so I finally asked if they saw it? She replied “No, but it will only be 10 minute” . She never once apologized. She then left the kitchen area and didn’t not return back, leaving some other staff to deal with this. The kitchen staff could be seen prioritizing my order first which I appreciated. They were able to complete the order in about 10-12 minutes. Unfortunately, because it was rushed out the bacon on the perogies was undercooked - photo added. They gave be a free cheese cake for dessert and one gentleman apologized.

Had a nice night out, busy place but staff were attentive and food was delicious, they had some interesting options on the menu and quite a few daily specials - will definitely be back!

Great food and the service here is awesome. The chicken tenders are real chicken breast tossed with sauce. It always seems to be the same server and he is a one man show. We come here often.

Absolutely fantastic food and wonderful service. Everything was flavorful and fresh and the fries appeared as though they were cut in house. Can't wait to go back, the only negative thing I can say is that I didnt find this place sooner!

We’ve been to Billie Jax multiple times and we’ve never had a bad experience. The food is always amazing and the service outstanding. We always look forward to going for dinner. Last night the waiter remembered our starter order & my fiancés drink order from the last time we were in and it was a surprise as I didn’t realize we were remembered.
