The food and service is great, but the management don’t seem to realize that consistently only having one person working during a big influx of people coming in and out of the store is not healthy for customers or the worker present. The service becomes slower, and there is not enough workers present to support each other to get the job done. It shouldn’t be like this as no other coffee culture, nor fast food cafe has this issue, always having multiple workers serving or cashing out at a time; it’s not unreasonable to look at how it’s affecting the customers in real time.

I love this location! It is extremely clean and I love their mocha frozen'cchino. It is a great place to complete work or simply have a nice, relaxing chat with your friends, family, and/or significant other. I will definitely be going back there!

I always break my restaurants visits down to three categories. Customer service, restaurant feel and food. Customer service, my visit was good because of how pleasant and polite she was. I love the attitude and customer focus behaviour. I give you a golden star 🌟 for that. Restaurant was clean, it had amazing pictures and I love everything about the atmosphere. Only thing I didn’t like was the washrooms. Food I ordered couple of things. It was not bad. I like the quality I think the price is high. I think you guys need to improve with how much you charge for simple things. Overall not a bad experience. Thank you.

This location gets quite busy and I think that the staff have trouble keeping up with the traffic. For instance, I was in line for upwards of 10 minutes and the food took another 10 minutes to be served. My breakfast bagel was falling apart (tasted great though), and it was stuck to the napkin that it was served on. I have never had this problem at other coffee culture locations, even when it’s busy.

I hosted my Fall networking event at the Whitby Coffee Culture and I am planning the holiday one there since it was a great success. The new manager Ellen is working incredibly hard to bring back the glory of the place. The sit in area is cozy and the treats are super good. I am planning to try them all. I am looking forward to bringing my customers here and hosting more events. I believe that people need to be more patient at peak time. Some drinks need longer time. Kindness goes a long way!

My partner and I have been regulars at this particular location for years, even throughout covid. Earlier this spring, we had been sitting out on the patio enjoying a coffee with my small dog who is quiet and friendly. There was nobody on the patio with us. The owner, who was not working that day, stopped by to check in on his employees. He then sent one of his employees to tell us that we had to leave because we were not able to have a dog on the patio. I was confused by this, thinking that perhaps there was some sort of bylaw that did not allow pets on restaurant patios, but Starbucks allows us to have our dog on the patio, and I've seen some locations even provide a water bowl for pets. We were the only ones on the patio and my dog wasn't making any noise or causing any trouble so I did not understand why we had to leave. This, combined with the fact that the owner walked right by us without saying a word, and sent out one of his employees to do the dirty work, left a really bad taste. 2 stars given as the coffee, food, and atmosphere are generally good, but we have decided, sadly, that we will not be returning to this location after this experience. :(

Went there with friends for lunch. The staff are very nice and friendly, spoke to Alen, very nice and knowledgeable, the service was quick and the food was delicious and fresh. cute little shop I strongly recommend.

I enjoy a good cafe but coffee culture in Whitby is like a home away from home now. I am not only ADDICTED to the beverage and food options but the staff and the ambience of the cafe as well. I met DANA the first time when my boyfriend and I visited this cafe as something a little different for our usual morning coffee. I was feeling festive with Christmas coming up and saw that there was a gingerbread beverage on their Christmas menu but didn’t know what to expect and end up not enjoying it. Dana was able to hear me out with my go-to’s at cafe’s and put a spin to my usual laté by customizing my beverage to incorporate gingerbread ! My boyfriend and I go all the time now and can sit for hours sipping and talking freely with no need to rush. She now says goodbye when we leave by saying ‘see you next week’ LOOOL knowing very well it’s TRUE! Thank you for blessing Whitby with such a beautiful cafe and owning the culture behind coffee 😍🙌🏽

Went for lunch and coffee on a weekday.. salad was wholesome. Berry- pecan salad didn't have pecans in it though. There was only 1 person working and doing a great job at handling 12 full tables. We couldn't wait any longer for coffee. Waited for 10 mins in line and left for the nearest Starbucks. Management might need to look into staffing.

Do not order online for this location. I just placed an order online, received confirmation email of it with an order number. Currently getting my hair done nearby and my stylist was so nice to get it for me. When she got there, they had no knowledge of it, and they even stated they don't even have a device that handles online orders. So it's floating into space lol. The employees at this location still made my order regardless of them not receiving it. :) If you need my email confirmation to bring it up at HQ or whatever, let me know, I'll keep the confirmation email :)

I went to coffee culture and I can say the service here was incredible! Ellen was my server and she was SO nice. She made my boyfriend and I feel so welcome! The food was also super great! Thank you Ellen for the great experience. I will definitely be back.

We have been to this location a number of times. The place is always clean and the staff are super friendly! Love the freshly baked scones especially. I’ve recommended it to my girl friends and they’ve all been as impressed. Keep up the great work.

I come here for the cozy atmosphere and Ellen’s personal hospitality. She knows exactly what you need, the food is always perfect and the place is nice and clean. I have been here all day today and now recommend letting her dress up your cake and latte as your last treat before you leave.

Coffee isn't the best but it's a cozy place. Would be 5 stars if they didn't burn something every hour, it really irritates the nose. They also run out of crepe batch alot. I like how they have water on the side and complimentary WiFi. Good place overall with beautiful decor. Makes it very classy and feels like a warm familiar place.

Hands down the best atmosphere, service and food/drink selection of any cafe around. Ellen is an absolute superstar; hardest working and dedicated employee. There is always a smile on her face and she makes you feel so welcome. If you're looking for a great place to relax and enjoy a coffee and muffin, catch up on your emails or hang out with some friends, I highly recommend THIS location. For those that have mentioned being irritated with wait times, please try to have a little more patience and understanding; perhaps the day you came in someone called in sick or simply didn't show for their shift. The fact that this location is so busy should tell you how amazing it is.

Had an amazing experience at this Coffee Culture. The new manager Ellen was such a delight. I went there for lunch to celebrate my sisters birthday and she made sure we were welcomed the moment we walked in. She even gave my sister a complimentary mango drink because it was her birthday. Will definitely be going back, such a great place!

I have always liked Coffee Culture but now I LOVE it!!. It is now under new management and Ellen has taken over. She made sure I was welcomed and assured me everything in their pantry was fully stocked. I had the Berry Pecan Salad which was delicious, an amazing carrot muffin and I sampled a Oreo Frappuccino. Amazing!! Our Whitby is in good hands now with the charming and efficient Ellen at the helm!

I like this place. Quaint and friendly staff. Dealt with Ellen, she was very welcoming and had a nice smile. Tried their breakfast sandwich with avocado. Delicious. Pistachio muffin is also delicious.

Delicious sandwiches and soups keep me coming back to Coffee Culture. I prefer eating food that tastes like it was made from scratch. Ps. Their coffee is also better! Highly recommend!

This is my new favourite coffee shop! All of the menu items here are delicious as well and a reasonable price for what you get. It is a great environment for getting work done, or inviting friends out for a cup of coffee. Most importantly, the staff is very friendly. 10/10 would recommend coming here!

In cleanliness, took out a huge loogee of hand sanitizer from the dispenser at front of store since it was clogged up. Over filled coffee cup too and spilled on table but those things happen. I didn't take away from stars for that.

This is a great place to chill out with friends and family. The food is great and the baked goods are appetizing as well. The only downside to this place is that service is very slow as just 1 person was managing everything. Also it will be nice to have confectionery placed at the counters for self help.

This was an insane experience, So my mother doesn't speak that well English and she was trying to tell me while I ordered my food and processed the payment . The girls that morning were working were rude and dont care about higen. One was picking her ears, then played with her long nails to take whatever she took out of her ears! This was very disgusting as it was our first time trying this coffee place near our home . The service wasn't nice as I requested for them to wash their hand and give me new muffins, and they tried to fool me and my mom by taking the same muffin at the back and bagged it to us and we saw all of it . I pray the restaurant owner tells this girl's to be cautious how they serve people and show little respect to elderly people

First visit here today was excellent. Coffee was awesome, I really enjoyed. Great fast friendly service.I loved the fact they served me my breakfast sandwich at my table. Comfortable seating and free wi-fi. I will definitely return.

Went there for my birthday breakfast and was a nice quiet atmosphere. Great service as they brought our bagels to the table ! Lattes were amazing ! And there baked goods are delicious ! Had a candy cane red velvet muffin ! And power up bagel ! Recommend !

Good place to stop for a coffee, cappuccino, latte or whatever you like. Not a ton of seating and people definitely like to take their time in there (seats occupied, no more coffee drinking), but that's okay as it's a nice spot to hang out. We were both pleased with our drinks!

Stopped in to do some work for a bit. Staff is very friendly, coffee and muffin were fine, however the wifi is down so I can’t work. Staff had no idea. Employee said the router or whatever is locked in the office and there’s nothing she can do. Her manager “…may be in in a couple of hours.” Not helpful.
