Really nice forested walk with easy trails. To bad the small parking lot is trashed and has garbage scattered everywhere.

Cool trail to walk through, I wouldnt suggest it at night time unless you like a thrill.

It is an easy short 4k hike and densed forest. Inside there is a big beaver pond and small board walk, the lake has been over 100 years. Parking area is rather small, great for family walk

Altona Forest is nice and peaceful. I'm not an avid hiker and I found that by the time we got to the middle the trail markers were scarce and it became scary that we could get lost. We spoke to two other sets of people who were also confused. We ran into one set of women twice, because they weren't sure how to get to their exit. The parking is not paved, does not have lines and can fit maybe six cars. If there weren't already cars, I wouldn't have known that it was a parking lot and that the entrance was there.

This area has fall colors at their peak roght now (Oct week 2). We went all the way yo High Park or other areas in GTA. The area aroind Altona and Rougemount were the best for fall colors. "Super like this lovely hike" !

Great trail, some parts very easy trail other parts more overgrown. Overall great for a fall hike.

Lots of downed trees across the trail. Needs some work. The small plank walkways are old a decrepit with nails sticking out, wouldnt suggest bringing a dog. Lots of garbage near the entrance. Trail could be enjoyed if youre prepared to hop over large tree trunks and get a little muddy. Trail is very overgrown in some areas. Not a casual trail if that's what you're looking for.

This place has great potential but I barely felt comfortable bringing my dog in. It's covered in litter to the point where you're almost worried you'll step on a needle. The hum of busy roads and construction definitely destroy any ambiance I'm sure this forest once had. I may try again in the spring but for now I have no interest in going back.

Really beautiful though the path needs some maintenance in replacing broken/removed boardwalk sections. Lots of wildlife around if you are quiet enough and go at the right time of day.

Nice hike with decent paths. A lot of it was icy when we went but would love to see it in the spring and summer.

Car speed too fast up and down that road it's crazy it's like driving in Quebec City
