It was just after the first snow fall, the place was not busy. Walked the north loop, it was about 6km. At the north end is lacated the Pickering Museum Village. The village was beautiful. It was barely above zero, the hiking was nice though.

Nice trails with free parking! There are several trails to choose from, it was icy and wet due to the warm weather.

We love this place. Endless trails, and never really busy. So much wildlife and beauty. Now if only some of the private homes on nearby properties would stop using their leaf blowers....

Try to get here early, as the parking lot seems to fill up quickly. Be aware too, there are no public restrooms here. There are some nice, fairly easy and flat, hiking/biking trails that connect with this parking lot.

You can keep coming back to this park and never get bored. It's big enough to get lost in it if you wanted to.

Got lost in the woods so more signage throughout would be fabulous. What was supposed to be a one hour walk turned into 3hrs! All’s well that ends well and I’m just glad it didn’t get dark!

This place is nice for walking in the woods. The parking is free. We also have stayed here overnight with our campervan and it's okay. Just a bad thing : some trails are not mentionned on the map, it may be very confusing!

We visited in early August, and the mosquitos were pretty thick. No biggie if you come prepared, but we weren't and got eaten alive. Still, it is a nice dog-friendly place for a nature walk and we had a good time.

Always a great place to go for a walk. Quite, peaceful, the river gurgling in the background. A good place to get your thoughts together!

Great place for a hike / bike ride / to walk your dog. Please if your walking your dog in the forest have them on leash, it is the rule and appreciated

Go to Greenwood quite often with three dogs and usually a family member or a friend of mine. Love hiking the area and the dogs just love going through it. It's a great place to take animals or just take a walk or a hike. Bring water it can get hot and for the pooches you can just walk to any number of streams and they'll just go for a swim. Lots of other dogs are usually around so it's a great area for socolaizing your animals. Highly recommended for walking dogs or walking yourself.

What a super lovely place to visit. The grounds are beautiful and we got to see salmon. Total added bonus. Make sure you get there early though as the parking lot fills quickly

This trail is a hidden gem, Great walking trails and a beautiful stream/river to explore. Very secluded area with limited cellphone reception. A great place to get away for a few hours.

👍👍 Frenchman's Bay is a great place to visit and spend your day, chill and hike with friends and family. It is a small place with not many parking spaces. Once the parking lot is full, they close the main entrance at W Shore Blvd and then strictly follow “vehicle-out, vehicle-in” policy. There are ple...

👍👍 It is such a peaceful and beautiful little park by the Frenchman’s Bay. I have been a resident of this neighborhood for the past few months. 👍 This park is truly beautiful. Lots of open space, the baseball diamonds need a little TLC, but the soccer field is gorgeous. Watched the fire works there for canada day and it was beautiful.
