Such a magnificent place! It has a playground, a splash pad, park, picnic areas, lighthouse, and a beach. What's more, the parking is free and also easily available.

Celebrated a child's birthday party here. We were able to bring a BBQ which was helpful. It's a nice spot on the water. Park for the kids was great and a splash pad, however, the splash pad was not open πŸ˜”

Heydenshore has something to offer for everyone. A hidden gem for children and adults alike, ranging from its turquoise waters, to long walks by the beach. Make sure to arrive early if you're planning a family picnic and enjoy the setting sun to end your prefect weekend.

Great park with ample parking across street from community center. Parking is free and multiple areas to view Lake Ontario are available throughout the park. Multiple picnic tables are available, you cannot BBQ in the park. Park is very well maintained.

Nice park with lots of parking and beach area around where you can sit and enjoy with friends and family. liked from the facility point of view. there is separate washroom also available. I kind of have seen people doing picnic and outdoor activities like playing, painting and biking on little trail.

It's one of the best parks I have been to by far! It's nice to bring the kids out to enjoy the park. They have an outdoor gym and a nice trail for biking/walking. Sometimes, the benches are on the rocky beach, and it's just a beautiful view. Whether u go early morning or late at night to see the lighthouse, there is always a nice view along with kind people.

Very nice spot for relaxing and taking a dip in the lake. On a clear day the water looks beautiful. You can’t tell where the water ends and the sky begins.

Super nice place, singing waves, whistling air, birds chirping and naughty seagulls. The trail is long and fantastic

It's a great park; large open layout, clean beach, lots of comfy benches, critters don't hog you for food and surprisely no geese and their poop. Beware of many large spiders in the washroom.

Nice place to spend the day. Beach is rocky, but fine with water shoes. Pretty deep a few steps from the shore. Lots of parking in the overflow lot across the street. There are usually a couple food trucks (one that sells fries and another that sells ice cream I think). There's a jungle gym, splash pad, gazebos, and outdoor gym. There are public bathrooms. And it's right off the waterfront trail. No BBQing or cooking permitted.

Absolutely love this place, so beautiful. The kids will love the park it's up to date and large. There are 2 parks and a water park. The lake and sand is clean and stunning. There are picnic tables and facilities, a trail, and dock. Plenty of grass space for picnics as well. The ice cream truck comes around often. Guaranteed day of fun in the sun.

Well maintained green space, with ample of parking, lovely place, the park has a play area for kids and a splash pad , there is a biking trail and a stretch of beach( not sandy) yet nice, with a view of lake Ontario. washrooms, however, need to be kept clean.

September 2021 Beautiful water front park in Whitby. Highly recommended to visit ,keep in mind during weekends parking spot in the area not sufficient. Play grounds for kids and adults are well maintained. Few minutes from Hwy401 East.

Good place to hangout relax and chill. Has a trail if you wish to bike ride or just walk. A small beach or just stay In the Parkside under the trees with ample shade.

Nice bike/walk trail here. Paved, with rest stops and benches along the length. Well maintained with trash receptacles

Always a pleasure to be there. I love the close combination of beach and park. Normally beaches are far from the parks but not here. My kids can enjoy both at the same time while I can watch them simultaneously without running around . Good and nice sitting areas as well . For me it's by far the best place to go for picnic. A little concern if I mention that would be parking which is quite limited specially on weekends.

Loved this place as a kid! Revisited back after so many years and still love it! This park has it all, tons of parking, walking/bike trails, a beach, a little water park for the kids, couple playgrounds, a little light house you could walk to! Would definitely recommend to everyone!

I recently visited a stunning beach that left me mesmerized! It was the perfect spot for a day of fun with friends. We indulged in various activities, making unforgettable memories. The beach's serene atmosphere and well-maintained facilities added to the overall appeal. I can't recommend this place enough if you're seeking both natural beauty and exciting outdoor activities.

It is a very beautiful park with lots of options for kids to play, enough parking space and free. The splash pad is closed at the moment. You can do boardwalk, cycling and picnic here. It is good place to spend 5-6 hours near Lakeshore.

I love Kiwanis Heydenshore! The waterfront trail, the pier ane the community feeling throughout the park and clearings is wonderful, although sometimes a little overly busy.

The beach is nice and the playground has good options. One of the rides has a broken spring. The splash pad has been in construction for quite some time. Good they are doing some construction on the old water treatment plant (Hopefully it will be a food court)

It's a beautiful park with ample parking space. I enjoyed walking on the trail and wonderful scenery. It was worth to drive for an hour from home. I will definitely visit there again with a bike.

Nice place . They have only two shaded picnic places. Nice sandy beach. A light house . Overall good experience.

The Splashpad is getting a major reno. The trees have peaked in fall. The weather is getting chilly. But this park remains my favorite destination on a lazy weekend afternoon with family

Lots of space to run, walk, sit, even on busy days you can find a quiet spot near water or grass. Lovely kids park,swings.Calming. Womens washrooms could use some ventilation though- used them once and the stench and absence of soap made me want to cry.
