Imagine going to an "Authentic" Italian restaurant, paying $25, to just get a cheese pizza. That's what happened to me when I ordered a "Margarita" Pizza. I asked them if this was even my order since I was confused at first but nope! They said it's "Canadian" style Margarita Pizza 🤦🏻‍♀️ the waitress told me the Margarita Pizza I wanted is not on the menu (not sure why it's not on the menu since this is supposed to be an "Authentic" Italian restaurant.) My husband ordered the Funghi Misti Pizza and that was worse than the one I ordered. They put whole garlic cloves on top of the dry pizza dough which they attempted to cover up with some alfredo sauce and the cheese was horrid. My friend ordered a drink from here and it was way too over priced for just a bunch of ice and water. She also ordered Chicken Parmesan and that was horrible too! Way too much cheese. You can't even taste the chicken is so bland and dry. It takes skills to mess up your own cultural food. Never. again.

One of our favourite restaurants. The pastas, breads, pizza, etc is all tasty and much better than I've had at any other restaurant. The service is also pretty good. We've been here a number of times, including without reservations and they'll still accommodate us (but I definitely recommend reservations unless you want to wait).

Delicious food, excellent service. Very spacious and plenty of parking space. In the summertime. There is a nice outdoor space as well.

The pistachio pasta cream sauce is to die for. So tasty and it has such a refreshing taste. We really enjoyed our dinner and the service we were provided with by our waiter. Good pricing, good portion, and tasty Italian dishes!

We went to Amici, located in Pickering, for a lunchtime dine-in experience. The ambiance of the place was quite pleasant. I opted for a Pepsi as my beverage of choice, and our meal started with the Calamari Alla Garglia appetizer. However, I found the calamari to be overcooked and somewhat rubbery in texture, and the accompanying dip was not a good combination. For the main course, we ordered the Panino PLT, which came with a soup that was red snapper with saffron that was highly recommended by the staff and was alao a favorite at the table. My initial intention for visiting this restaurant was to savor their Butternut Squash Ravioli, and it certainly began on a positive note. The flavors of the ravioli were a true delight, and I thoroughly enjoyed the blend of ingredients. Regrettably, my dining experience took a downturn when I discovered a hair entangled in the grilled chicken partway through my meal. The waitress was incredibly apologetic and promptly offered to have the dish remade. I chose to have the replacement meal packed to go, as I didn't feel like dining alone at the table. In a commendable act, the waitress not only removed the Butternut Squash Ravioli dish from the bill but also included a serving of Tiramisu as a gesture of apology. Upon returning home, however, I couldn't shake the feeling that I received the same leftover meal in the takeout packaging, as the portion size appeared to match what remained on my plate at the restaurant. Given this unfortunate incident, I find it challenging to give this restaurant a good rating. The episode left me feeling quite disgusted, and as a result, I couldn't bring myself to enjoy the remainder of the meal I brought home.

The best pasta place in pickering!! 💛💛💛 i met the manager outside the store and he was the kindest soul ever. The food was so fresh and hot and had so many flavors! The grilled squid was soft and i loved every minute in amici. Will definitely come back.

I went here for a birthday celebration and was absolutely blown away by the delicious food. The food was so good. Generous bread basket + excellent service. Definitely one of the best places I’ve been to for pasta. Highly recommend

This restaurant deserves a 5 star, however, the negative treatment and bad communication style of one of the staff killed the great experience at the end. I had 5 guests and all of us enjoyed the food, the fantastic service of the waiter in charge and the beautiful atmosphere. I'm not sure why the staff in charge of seating the guests decided to come in the end and asked us to keep our kid quite or we have to leave the restaurant? There are a million other ways to mention this without being rude. Sorry, you just killed our joy at the end.

This is a tough review as I can't rate each component. Calamari seemed to be slightly overcooked, we were not a fan of the creamy dill (doesn't seem to fit the Italian theme) The Palini PLT was delicious, chicken breast grilled to perfection, moist and everything was well seasoned. The soup was red snapper with saffron, I can honestly say I could have this every single day. Nice chunks of red snapper, potatoes and other root vegetables, broth was silky smooth and so flavorful. Great job to the chef who created this soup. 10 stars just for the soup. Butternut squash ravioli was also ordered, presentation was very nice, unfortunately an unknown substance was found which appeared to be a hair. Staff was very apologetic and owner was informed. We had few options presented to us and another dish was made and the ravioli was removed from the bill and we were treated to a tiramisu to go. Excellent customer service.

Incredible food and wonderful service. We went on a Friday evening at about 6... it was quite busy but we were seated quickly. However I would recommend making a reservation, especially during busy time. Great restaurant! Worth the drive from Toronto!

Ate here for the first time in my life and it was very very good! Dined here recently with 3 other friends for a friends birthday. Our server was amazing and very attentive, constantly came over to check on us throughout our time here. Warm bread came to the table with butter. We each ordered drinks/cocktails/red wine. Got the avocado salad, chicken parm, butternut squash ravioli,etc. I will for sure return to try other dishes.

I'm not a person who leaves reviews (check my history) but this experience was truly so good that I had to. Was here on Friday and everything was so delicious that I came back on Tuesday. The great thing about Amici is the patio is covered. Even though it was raining fairly hard that didn't affect the meal. The manager Tony even came out today and shared some drinks with us. The food already was a 12/10 (the ravioli di manzo was mind blowing!!!) but they truly went over and above. Honestly was already planning to eat my way through the menu but their service only speeds that plan up! Try it today you won't be disappointed.

This was my first time here, went for a lunch meeting. And it was very delicious. Waitress was very nice, the Gnocci was also so yummy. Love the vibes in hear as well, makes you feel like You are in a little version of Italy. If you love Italian food, this is definitely the place to go!

Just visited this place for late lunch/early dinner. Restaurant has big variety of appetizers, main courses and salads. As well, as good choice of wines. Quality of dishes is great, meat cooked to perfection, very fine salads, made in harmony with condiments. Service was prompt, quick and every next dish was served right on time. Especially, big thanks to our waitress Ilean! Friendly, attentive and guiding us through the menu. Definitely, we will be frequent guests at Amici

My husband took me here tonight for my birthday, it was a first for both of us. The food, the atmosphere, the service, the food, everything was EXCEPTIONAL!! If I could give a 10 Star I would! It was worth every penny. We will be back very soon. By far the best restaurant I've been to & I've been to a lot!

The chicken parm was really great! The service was fantastic, and the ambiance was classy and nostalgic. Highly recommend this place if you like Italian and are in Durham

Great option for Italian cuisine in Pickering. The team at Amici are super friendly, and safely accommodate both small and large groups. The food is superb, and portions are quite generous. We took 2 families there and adults and kids alike were very happy with the experience. The complimentary bread plate is delicious, and seating options both inside and outside. Would highly recommend if you are in the area!

We only had 1hr for dinner so the server was on top of it food was quick and delicious service was just perfect. Didn't give them 5 star as the owner/manager was sitting people down and when I got there with a reservation he completely ignored me even the Host asked him to sit us down yet he walked by me to sit 4 people who came after us without any reservation! Poor hospitality on his part!

Went here for our anniversary, the service was excellent. We did have a reservation and I would highly recommend you having one or calling prior to going as they had to turn some people away due to being fully booked. We didn't have to wait long for our table. I will say the calamari wasn't my favourite thing here it was very traditional. The gnocchi was fantastic and the wood fired pizza was so flavorful. If you choose to go here be sure to try a pizza I dont think you would regret it.

We searched for a place to celebrate my husband's birthday and found this gem. Ambience was nice and place was clean. Love the big glass walls so there's natural light coming in the resto. Food were super delicious 😋 Everything we ordered were superb. And staff were pleasantly friendly and nice. They did not know that we are celebrating but our server gave us a calamari dish for FREE. Such a nice gesture! We will definitely be back and would recommend to family and friends 🧡

5 stars def. not enough! HIDDEN GEM! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. It was my first time here and my friends as well. The moment we entered the restaurant, everyone was so friendly! And oh boy the food was AMAZING! We all ordered different dishes and WOW! This is now my favourite Italian restaurant! Personally this beats any Italian Restaurant I’ve eaten in Downtown Toronto! Will absolutely be back!!!!

First time and it was a great experience. We were lucky to be seated as the place was busy. We opted to sit on the patio. Make sure to make reservations! The staff were on point and the food was delicious. Definitely coming back.

pretty typical for a Italian restaurant. Its got pasta, escargot, etc... it was a pleasure to be outside on the patio. It is a very busy restaurant I would recommend making renovation upon arrival.

It was really busy so it took a while to get the server’s attention at first but once we took our order she was always checking in on us, very nice lady. Food came in pretty quickly, was fresh and delicious. Will visit again.

Portions are amazing for the price. One order could feed 2 people maybe 3-4 kids because well pasta is heavy sometimes. I got the Fettuccine Alfredo because it's a classic. 11/10 would recommend. I also tried the balognese their sauce was amazing, a bit on the sour side for me but it makes sense considering it's as freshly mad and the season.

My family had came here for dinner the other day and my fiancé and I had arrived a bit later. Came 2 minutes before they had last call at 9pm and their service and patience was unmatched. We randomly found this place and what a gem. We had a reservation. It was really busy when we got there and we were sitting for about 15 minutes before we got a server, but once he realized we hadn’t been served he was all over it. He brought our drinks very fast and gave good recommendations. I think his name was Paul. Food was amazing. We shared a pizza as an appetizer, then we got some pastas and a salmon dish. It was all really delicious. Definitely can understand why they were a packed house. Hostess was really friendly as well.

Great quality of food, lots of variety, spacious dining room. Pasta and secondi plates were well made. Good wine selection but could be bigger in my opinion. Great service. Just right across Pickering Town Center.

I wanted to order everything off the menu. Grilled calamari was tender, not tough and chewy, Fettuccine Con Fungho Bianco - roasted field mushrooms, garlic, white wine, crema di parmigiano, parsley & truffle oil. One of the better pasta's I've had. Other meals ordered for our party were: Ravioli di Manzo, Penne con Pollo, Parmigiana di Pollo. Server was excellent, provided the right amount of attention. Highly recommend.

My family and I have eaten at Amici's a handful of times and each experience has been absolutely wonderful. Twice we had Kelly as our server and her service is amazing. She remembered us from the last time she was our server (5 months prior). Her recommendations for the food offered are excellent. The bread and food are incredible! Highly recommend this place

You can't go wrong dining at Amici!!! Off the chart authentic Italian food. Prices that won't make you feel as if you're being ripped off. (A common feeling these days.)

This place is AWESOME! I loved EVERY SINGLE PIECE I ordered! The appetizers were amazing, pizza was one of the best I've ever had in my life, veal dish and pistachios sauce pasta were to die for! The service was fast and top notch, no to mention the food was served SUPER FAST but the quality was not compromised - the food was still hot and exceptionally delicious nonetheless. The atmosphere is very relaxing and soothing, with all the rules and protocols being followed which makes you feel safe. I definitely recommend this place! 👌

We had our staff xmas party here this past weekend. It was truly an amazing time. It was great seeing my co workers so relaxed and happy. We are grateful to the staff at Amici for giving us great service and great food. We haven't been able to laugh and talk with each other since the beginning of the Pandemic. My dinner was amazing.. the only sad thing was that it was over to soon! I had a chicken dish and I must say.. chicken can be tricky. Usually it tastes dry and tasteless. Not this chicken, it was moist with the amount of gravy and the potatoes and veggies had the right amount of flavouring. My salad was exceptional as well. In no way was it wilted or saturated with too much dressing. It was just perfect. Thank you again Amici for a memorable evening!
