Delicious food. Spring rolls were huge. Ordered the spicy basil chicken, which was flavourful and had a but of a kick to it (sometimes a restaurant will say spicy, but it isn't). Mango salad was sweet and tangy, so good! Chicken pad Thai was good, the chicken was seasoned well, but it was not the best one I've had. Mama was super nice!! Great restaurant, will go back for sure!

I came here hoping to try some local Thai food in Pickering. The place is located in the commercial plaza beside Pickering Go station. When we walked in there were was no tables setup. Just takeout. There was a young boy who came to the front cashier to take my order. We asked the owner for suggestions on what to order and she said everything is good and couldn't suggest a dish for us. Oh well... We ended up ordering red curry chicken and pad see eew with beef. The total came up to $30 approx. The young boy didn't really have good customer service skills and I told him I wanted number 4 on the menu and he replied back "I know." I didn't take any offense and kept an open mind. We were looking forward to trying the food as the owner said the food is really good. The red curry was aromatic and rich. I was surprised there wasn't any spice level nor did she ask if we wanted it spicy or mild. Would have like more chicken in the serving but there was bambo shoots, long green beans, red peppers, and potato. The pad see eew was cooked fresh to order. The dish consists of wide rice noodles, beef flank bok choy and broccoli. This really hit the spot although the presentation was not the greatest. Some things to note. The menu had the prices blacked out so we were at the mercy of the owner who could set any price. Please update your menus so your customers know how much they are spending. If you want some decent Thai food give them a try. Just be ready to order as they won't really help you with the menu. Maybe it was an off day but the owner wasn't really in the mood to talk to us nor greet us after walking in. Small improvements can go a long way. I will come back and try something else but hopefully the service improves.

A metric ton of food for a great price!!! Open the door and it just fills your head with the smells from afar! Brilliant tastes and made abbbbbsolutely authentic! Super nice lady who we spoke with and made our food, we assume was Mama Noi herself!!😊😊 The amount of food for the price was amazing!! The taste was divine, nothing overboard, perfectly done!! Definitely going back!! go Go GO!!!!!! Like the other places we've gone to, worth the drive and support small business and local!!!!

Food was delicious...spring rolls are huge. Soup was so tasty and fragrant. My only small complaint would be I wished the Cashew Chicken would have had as much flavor as the rest of the food.

Always a good time dining in with Mama in this little gem of restaurant located in Pickering. She’s an amazing cook and stays authentic to the Thai cuisine. You can always count on her and her bubbly personality to lighten up your day. My absolute favourites are her Chicken Pad Thai and the Spicy Basil Chicken. I recommend a visit. My first visit 10/13/2021. I ordered the veggie Pad Thai. I was so hungry after waiting in the service Canada line, I decided to try this place, because I enjoy Thai food. When I came home and tasted it, all I could taste was sugar. It was so sweet I instantly got a headache. There was hardly any veggies in the plate, literally 4 pieces of broccoli a bunch of carrots and nothing else. I also said to her no eggs, and I got eggs. I asked for spicy and no spice was added. Why is there SUGAR added to your food? I don’t consume much sugar, so I could taste it right away. I am very disappointed. I have to throw it out. $13.56 is now wasted. Authentic Thai food does not have sugar from my experience, this is a health issue. You also have a sign saying your price was increased by $1.00, due to food cost, but I got more noodles than veggies. I am very disappointed, and trying to now get my sugar levels balanced. I tried calling the restaurant, but no one answered. I will not be visiting y’all again.

Visit and support Hot Mama Noi's her Thai food is delicious, authentic and cooked with passion. Mama's always up for a good chat, her joyous spirit and energy is contagious. Times are extremely hard for her right now, she has been serving Durham for 12 years now and needs our support more than ever. The Thai red curry and spring rolls are phenomenal 😋

New tenant a few units away from this restaurant. First time trying this place and it was very good. I ordered the chicken pad thai to go. Portion was quite generous. Had a quick chat with the owner run by a grandma by herself. Owner was also watching her grandson home school at the same time. Will be back to try other items on the menu.

So good! Was not expecting the best pad thai Ive ever had to be in Pickering. Shrimp was huge, sauce is not overly sweet and that hot sauce is something else. Spring rolls are huge, but I could do without.

This place is the ultimate Thai hole in the wall! It doesn't look like much, it's very small inside, and I don't even know if they have a drink menu other than water, but the food was 10/10 amazing! I grew up in the restaurant business, and from that experience was so tickled that my "server" was a 12 year old boy. It's a great learning experience for him, and I think the customers will appreciate how seriously this family takes things. Cannot wait to order from here again!

I've been coming to this excellent Thai Restaurant for years. Mama Noi is an excellent cook. They consistently serve the best Thai food I've ever eaten in my many years on this planet! They are very friendly and you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. My favourite is the Spicy basil chicken! Very highly recommended!

Greeted by a 9 yr old, verging on rude customer service (cant blame him for his parents). Ordered soup and asked for some noodles in soup, paid extra.. that was ok by me. Hardly any broth to SOUP, mostly noodles. Mushrooms were squishy lumpy and past fresh point. Too much coconut milk in broth and was very unpalatable. Tried to eat it as it cost me $17 but it was so far off the mark that I tossed this lumpy noodle mess. Would not go back

Pad Thai 6V, Green Curry 2V, Spring Rolls, Basil Beef 14B and mango salad with ample steamed rice. I have a full blown food high! Have a healthy and prosperous New Year! Walk Well!

Reading the reviews I had high hopes for a great Thai place in Durham. Seeing the owner and chef was from Thailand was also reassuring. But unfortunately it wasn't as great as we expected. The Pad Thai had an odd smokey flavour rather than your usual tamirand flavour. It also tasted a bit rubbery. The Green Curry was delicious though and was filled with many mixed vegetables which we liked. The spring rolls were massive in size but also lacking in flavour. I think if we purchase from here again we'd stick with the curries and the fried rice. It seems like only Scarborough or Toronto have great Pad Thai, like from Jatujak.

My husband and I have been to this restaurant many times and will continue to frequent them. Food is delicious and portion sizes are good, takeout containers are always full to the top. One container usually lasts me 2 meals. However it is a little pricier than some places. Our go to are the pad see ew and the pad Thai. Customer service is very good as well. Highly recommended.

I didn’t feel like pot cooking so I stopped in for some freshly cooked Thai food. This time I ordered Thai green curry which is a must and spicy basil beef. Both dishes or full to the brim with lots of meat and tasty is anything. They came with a large portion of rice each. I highly recommend you check this place out. $21 all in with two orders of her homemade hot sauce as well

What a gem this place is for authentic, Thai flavours! I ordered tom yum soup, spicy basil (with chicken) and of course, the cult favourite spring rolls. You can tell everything is made fresh in house and with a lot of love! They even sell homemade hot sauce and ginger sauce… definitely a must try for all foodies. ❤️

Amazing food and extremely flavourful. They use fresh ingredients every day and you can taste it. Ordered for an office of 15 people and everyone loved it! Not too spicy but you can add the homemade hot sauce which is also packed with flavour. Mama and staff were very friendly and pleasant to deal with.

Ordered for my birthday and it was delicious. We ordered the green curry, spring rolls (which are huge), cashew chicken, beef panang curry and mango salad (the mango was perfect!) The food was ready for pick up at the requested time. The salad was packaged separate to keep it cool. This will be my go to place for Thai food going forward ...hands down.
