I wish I could leave 0 stars if I could. My wife and I dropped by today for a quick bite to eat and have never been in this restaurant before. My wife did not have a particularly big appetite and wanted to share my soup with me. As per the waitress, unfortunately we cannot order 1 soup alone for sharing, we wanted to order the extra large size. The waitress suggested that we order an appetizer, “and than it is okay to share the soup. I’m sorry this is the rules of the restaurant.” After receiving this information, she also mentioned that it had to be an appetizer that was “at least 4 pieces.” Looking at the menu, it would have come to the same price as the size of their smallest bowl of soup which is a medium. The concept of not sharing food is foreign to me, I have been to many restaurants where it is discouraged to waste food. Nonetheless, we left shortly afterwards. They would rather lose the business of a lunch item for the fact that we cannot share the soup. After glancing around other families and dining tables, it was clear to us other people were “sharing.” It’s possible maybe because they bought more items but we were the only 2-person table. For a restaurant that states they are thanking people for supporting “small businesses,” this was disappointing. I will never come back to this restaurant again.

First time here . Great place to have a warm soup on a cold day . Food did take a abit long to come out . but over all the soup was delicious. We ordered the extra large souphouse special which was $18+ noodles could have been more . But good to share . Will be back to try some other dishes.

This is probably the first Pho restaurant in Pickering and is still the best! We have been coming here for ever since the kids where small. They are now 24 & 22! The food here has always been excellent and the service is fast and very friendly. Definitely recommend this place!

If you're looking for this type of food the best place to go is not here. Check out my photo for a much better place I discovered much better flavour and price. Not the best if you're trying to impress anyone. Their store hours are not consistent in what they advertise and what they really have planned so if you look on the Internet and they say they're open don't drive there make sure phone, except they don't always answer the phone. If you complain about the hours they'll tell you just not to go there anymore. I think their business is bad and they're very stressed. I have eaten at that restaurant many times in the last 8 years the last few times I went with other people and it was advertised open and it was closed. If you complain about anything they go from really nice people to horrible people and they We'll tell you don't come back if you don't like it. They don't have to tell you that because I would never go back and I would never recommend anyone to go there. Read the other notes about inconsistent hours and you'll see how they run the business. If they can't keep something simple like their hours how Can they maintain other things You don't see.

It's been quite a while since I've been to Pho Saigon, even though they're in my neighbourhood. I dropped in for dinner recently, with a friend. She had a vermicelli dish with beef and I had a large beef pho. The pho broth was very flavourful and plentiful, more than enough for my friend to have some. The vermicelli dish was also enough for her to take some to work for lunch the next day. The restaurant was clean, with lots of spacing between the tables. The service was also quite efficient, with food arriving fairly quickly. I had forgotten how good their food was but I'll be back to enjoy more of it!

Spacious restaurant with a broad menu of Vietnamese cuisine. This was our first visit and we tried a number of dishes including the house special pho, a rice and meat dish and a vermicelli bowl. Each of these entrees were fresh and great tasting. We also tried the fried tofu and Thai spring rolls. Our kids enjoyed both of these, though we substituted the peanut sauce for fish sauce due to allergies. The servers were pleasant and food came out fairly quickly. We'll definitely be back.

I used to frequent Pho Saigon regularly, both for dining in and placing takeout orders with delivery service. I observed that the dining-in experience consistently went smoothly, likely due to the face-to-face interactions with the staff. However, a noticeable contrast arose when I placed orders for delivery over the phone – a series of unfortunate issues ensued. What struck me was the staff's attitude in handling these problems; they exhibited rudeness and an unwillingness to rectify the issues, often without even extending a simple apology. Initially, I assumed these incidents were isolated cases, but my optimism waned after subsequent attempts. On two separate occasions after, we encountered a string of problems with our orders, leaving us greatly dissatisfied. Regrettably, this continuous stream of issues led us to the conclusion that it was best to discontinue ordering from Pho Saigon. I find myself wishing I could describe this establishment as hit-or-miss in terms of both food quality and service, but truthfully, it appears they've fallen short on multiple occasions.

Coming from the West Coast it took us a couple years to find this place and it is hands down one of the best Vietnamese restaurants around. We have trying at least 20 some different Vietnamese restaurants and this is our go to. We live in Oshawa and drive to Pickering just for Pho Saigon. The owner and staff are awesome, super friendly and aiming to please. The food is amazing and portions are more than enough. Definitely a must try and you won't be disappointed.

Pho was great, but nothing that stood out compared to most other places. Restaurant overall looked really nice, good atmosphere. Service was quick and straightforward.

I enjoyed this establishment very much. The only downside was there was no paper towels in the bathroom. And the hand dryer was very weak pressure. So I had to dry my hands on my pants. Other than that. It’s amazing. I can’t believe this used to be a Harvey’s long ago!!! P.S the ice coffee is delicious Namaste.🙏🏻

I loved this place. I've been going since I was a kid, but now the quality of the appetizers have diminished a lot. Their fried spring rolls have shrunk and they don't even come close to giving a plate full of squid tentacles. The soup is still good though. Rice dishes are a hit or miss.

Have order food from here for years especially the Red Thai Curry. Have always love the flavour and received a good quantity of food. However was extremely disappointed with the quantity of the Thai Curry this time (shown in the picture). There was less than half a container of curry for $16

Phở lacks the aroma and pho flavor. Bún Bò Huế tastes more like Bún Riêu broth. Friendly service and clean restaurant. I would come back if the dishes were more authentic. :(

Love their soup. Mainly I go here cause they have rice noodle (gluten-free). The ingredients are fresh. I like that there is room to move around. Some restaurants you’re packed like sardines. Good prices too.

The food here was incredible. I had the vermicelli with spring roll and pork and I was not disappointed. The house fish sauce went well with all the fresh veggies. I shared some of the house special Pho and I was really impressed with the broth as well. The staff is extremely friendly and the food was quick, fresh, and delicious. I will be coming back.

The best. Taste, quality, speed and service never disappoint. My wife and I have pretty much 2 items we go back and forth between (and we customize them to our taste). Thev recognize from the moment we walk in and are the most accommodating always. A Pickering staple and we never want to see this one go. Support local businesses!

First time here. None of us had been before. Food was ok. My curry dish was great but we weren't wowed by the meal overall. And the spring rolls we overcooked. I really wanted to love it. Waitress was fantastic.

The foods come out fast. Taste wonderful, warm dishes keep soup and rice hot for a long time. Nice and friendly services. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends. Also very clean!

Was working in the area and stumbled upon this place. Ordered the rare beef pho large. The broth had decent flavor. Quality of beef was ok. Service was very good. Hot tea always a bonus.

The taste and deliciousness of this resto speak for itself. Portion sizes are generous too.

The soup is really tasty but please note if we order pho without real meat, like meatball or seafood, the soup less tasty than the ones with meat.

I really enjoy coming here for a standard bowl of pho. They take really good covid measures and the staff is always accommodating and friendly. Portions are fairly large.

Excellent selection and friendly service. It is best to book as they were very busy, being one of the Regions still open. Thank you

Portions and service were good. Unfortunately, the beef in the pho was not rare, it was well done and the beef brisket was very salty & chewy- I could not eat the brisket at all. Bring cash to pay the tips portion- there's no option to put tips on the machine. And the women's washroom was closed off so you have to use the men's which only has one stall open but the signs didn't exactly clarify it became all gender washroom. I haven't been here before so I'm sure locals love it and want to support it. My comments here really are to just give people a heads up if you're not familiar with some of these details.

These were amazing dishes and I look forward to a return visit to try a soup dish! Went to try the chicken & beef rice again with a side of tofu just to see if it would be good a second time...wow very impress as it was great again, more than enough for two and the fried tofu was amazing . I have found my new asian food take out! The young woman at the order desk ( waitress) was helpful and friendly.

The opening times are unpredictable. They are closed when they’re scheduled to be open. Time of operations should be fixed/solidified. They never update the time on google. The food too isn’t so bad considering it’s the only one in Pickering.

An easy 5 star review. The food is great and the customer service is great. They are so personable, friendly and accomodating. My personal favs are the fresh rolls and veggie soup (mushroom broth and tofu) and the shrimp and pork spring rolls. If you're looking for a great place to eat in Durham, this is it. My husband & I and friends eat here nearly once a week and have 0 complaints.

Great place for Viet eats! Pictured is the vermicelli with beef and a spring roll. Spring roll was delicious and so was the rest of the dish. Had the Vietnamese coffee and thought it was great! No complaints about this place - great customer service and food came out quickly.

Awful quality. They fry everything in the same vat as it all has that fish taste. Very greasy spring rolls. Everything tastee but not fresh.

This is my favourite place to get pho in Durham Region and definitely should be rated higher! I usually get an XL house special to go. The portioning is great, and can feed two people with left overs. I am also a fan of their broth which keeps me coming back here over other Vietnamese restaurants in the area.

Amazing food! You must try the Vermicelli with beef, add soy sauce and hot chili sauce and you got a 10 out of 10 dish. The staff is so helpful and kind. We've been going to the scarborough location for more than a decade and here you get the same experience, some of that staff is here too. We will definitely be coming back!

I had tried to call to place an order tonight and no one picked up. I understood it was Valentine's and they were probably busy. I drove.to the restaurant to place my order and mentioned how I had tried to call and just was making friendly conversation about how they must be busy. The woman at the front was so rude and aburptly and with attitude cuts me off to point at the phone and says " as you can see the phone's right here and there only one of me and one of her( pointing at her colleague". I was annoyed she talked to me that way but still placed my order. Went to my car and realized I didn't deserve to be spoken to in such a condescending tone. Went back to cancel my order. I can spend my $80 order on another business

The food was good, I've had better, but it was a good meal for the price. The atmosphere and setting made me feel relaxed and at ease. Good place to eat.

the staff on shift , younger and taller than the other one refused to give me spoon and fork even if i actually got up from my seat to ask for one. She said they only give the spoon and fork w/ knife for rice dishes. I told her my order is rice with curry. She asked me to use the plastic/melamine spoon used for soup. why does she have to argue with the customer for a spoon and fork? why can’t she just give the spoon and fork? when she gave the spoon and fork, she had a comment “you just have to ask!” ah hello?! i just got up from my seat to ask for one. and only if she is listening to what the customer wants. POOR CUSTOMER service is what we experienced here today.
