Food was amazing. Little bit salty on The fresh chips and the fresh house made salsa was spot on. Staff was on point with being knowledgeable and able to handle the service needs.

I can’t say I am surprised cause of the name, I should have known better. First off as soon as you walk in the staff forget they are being paid to be there, they seem like they have a attitude. They take offence to you asking any questions, they don’t even believe in their own product. The food was a catastrophe in the making. My burger was hard and tasted like it was sitting it the freezer for months before they brought it out. The fries also taste off for some reason. This establishment is one that I will never be returning to.

Good food and good service. We came on a Sunday and Diamond (I believe her name is) was working alone. The place filled up pretty quickly but she still managed to provide us with timely service. The food was amazing, we got the platter for two that comes on a hot plate and it had everything we needed. My partner wanted the enchiladas as well so we got those too! As an app we tried the alligator bites. They were alright, nothing to brag about bur the food was cooked just right and it was a good time. Highly recommend. Thanks Diamond!

The restaurant was cold, moved 3 different times to different tables and finally sat next to the taco stove for warmth. Drinks were made with cubes not crushed ice. 1 appetizer item menu was not available, 1 dinner item on menu not available, 1 dessert item on menu not available and a dirty spoon was served. The tip of $35 was beyond reasonable. Slow service. A disappointment. The Beer was cold :)

After our horrible experience in the Oshawa location we received a gift certificate from Lonestar's head office to give their restaurant another try which we decided to use at this location at Whites Rd. in Pickering. The service was excellent. The food was wonderful. This location was a little dirty but they did clean after we asked them to without hesitation. Other than that, everything was great. Hubby had the 7 oz steak with the mushroom skillet and I have the fish tacos. Both of us had the Mexican poutine which was out of this world by the way! As always, we started with the nachos and salsa which is complementary and we added the fiesta which included the queso and churros.

First time going to Lonestar in Pickering. Great place, very spacious inside and their patio was well spread out to accommodate social distancing guidelines. Our server was friendly and attentive which was great. I ordered the chicken chimichanga with onion rings. The portion was a decent size and it was very tasty. We also order churros for dessert, which came out warm and fresh. I would definitely recommend visiting this place again.

Usually love lone star but today we got takeout for the first time. Was told 30 minutes and at 37 minutes I had to ask the girl where our food was. She went to the back and came back with nothing. She didn’t say anything and went back to sorting cutlery. I had to get her attention again and she said “oh sorry. It’ll be a few minutes.” When we finally got the food it was a 5 minute drive home. We unboxed the steak fajita bowls ($53) and were VERY disappointed. Everything was very cold and there was barely anything in the boxes. We each pulled out the red sauce they gave and one was full while the other barely had a quarter of the amount. Overall it was a bad experience with really bad quality food. Normally we love everything.

Amazing service from our waiter. Food came quickly and tasted great! Margaritas are fun and flavorful too. I would recommend it to family, friends, or anyone looking for a cute date night.

Visited here for a friends birthday recently (group of 7) We sat in the bar area at a bigger table. The hostess gave us the choice to sit outside but it looked like it might rain. We had the worst service from our server. At times it took her over 30mins to check on the table and when she would come to clear plates, cups etc, she wouldn’t even have the decency to ask if we needed anything else. What made it even worse was the air conditioner was broken so the restaurant was disgustingly hot. It got so hot inside that we went through the patio door just to get some fresh air. The manager came to scold us about going through the back door and letting all the hot air in!!! A table of 7 adults in their early to mid 30’s getting scolded by the manager about opening the back door is a little pathetic and it made us feel like we were little kids. Horrible service! We paid our bills and went across the street to Chucks Road House where it was nice and cool and WAYYY better service. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

I've never had a bad experience at Lone Star. Having been coming here for over 15 years, I'm pleased to see that the quality is as consistent no matter the location nor how much time passes between visits. Had the classic steak Fajitas with shrimp on the side. Steak was cooked oh so perfect was red and juicy when it arrived at the table sizzling and stayed juicy through the last bits of cooking on the hot plate. Shrimp were equally as good, felt great value for $$ spent. Thanks lone star for keeping it consistent. That fuzzy peach margarita.... they sure don't skimp on the tequila! Very pleased.

I would give this a LONELY star but management did a great job reaping an extra 3 stars, fill your galaxy one star a at time! Oh, where do I even start with this restaurant's fajitas! They were so delicious that they must have used a time machine to cook them to perfection, but the portions were smaller than a squirrel's lunch. I practically needed a microscope to see them! 🌮 Now, about our waitress, she was clearly auditioning for the Sloth Olympics. She moved slower than a snail on vacation, making us wonder if she was on a quest to beat the world record for slowest service. And oh boy, when it came to the bill, she managed to create a culinary masterpiece of mistakes, as if she was an avant-garde artist of errors! It was like decoding an ancient manuscript trying to figure out what we actually ordered. We ended up with a laughable puzzle that even Sherlock Holmes would struggle to solve. 🐌 Overall, despite the tiny fajitas and the comically slow service with an artistic twist on the bill, it was a hilariously memorable experience we won't soon forget! Thanks guys! Appretiate you guys helping out with the bill due to inconvenience, hopefully back soon when your portions get bigger!

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3 stars) Lone Star Restaurant offers number one fajitas that are absolutely delicious. The food itself is top-notch, especially the fried pickles which are incredibly huge! However, I believe the restaurant needs to work on their service and food presentation. Additionally, the onion rings were a bit greasy. Overall, a good place for tasty fajitas, but there's room for improvement in other areas.

We had amazing service from the time we got into the restaurant. We sat in the bar/lounge as there were a few large groups in the dining hall. Our bartender/server was amazing, the service we received from Cobra was outstanding. I truly enjoy going out and seeing people who have so much pride and joy in the work they do. It brings that much more to the experience when dining out. His drinks were mixed to the "t"... Meaning they were perfect. We would be back to this location.

Went here for dinner for the 1st time since the pandemic started. Ordered Fajita's Especial (Chicken, Steak, Shrimp and BBQ Back Ribs with all the fixin's. Great choice. Love the fresh baked Tortillas.

I haven't been here in a few years. It was a great upgrade. The food was excellent, the staff was very courteous and we enjoyed ourselves. Gotta love the free chips and salsa. Absolutely would go back. What a pleasant surprise how nice and tasty it all was. We got the alligator bites, I got big Burritos, others got the tacos and the fajitas. Everyone loved their food.

I received undercooked chicken wings yesterday evening from Lone Star, Pickering location, when I ordered through Uber Eats. I called the manager and she said that she would speak with the cook. The meat is raw with blood. I sent the manager a picture on her phone so she could see also. It is so important to cook food thoroughly, especially meat. This can make people very sick. Will not order food from here again.

My son and I went today and the fajitas... my God are to die for.. I've never had a bad experience here. The food, the server are fantastic. We had Hunter today (same name as my son!) and she was super! Very pleasant and chatty! My only minor complaint is that a restaurant for that size needs more than one washroom! I don't know why there is one women and one men washrooms?? Anyway we will definitely be back!

Our first time here, the host could have done a better job making us to feel more welcome after saying it’s our first time ever dining in any lone star, Bronco was awesome! He was sincere, genuine, consistent, great attitude, attentive, personable, me and my Wife were out for date night, he made the experience positive we appreciate that, I’ve served before and worked in FOH/BOH, I can recognize a fellow hard worker and taking care of things properly, you guys are lucky to have him, give him a raise, it’s hard to find good help, thanks Bronco and keep up the great work! If your not already a supervisor or trainer by now you should be. He embodied the type of service all restaurants should strive for especially after a pandemic and drawing people back out spending. Look forward to be back and ask for you Bronco. Whoever hired you knows how to find an asset. Stay safe!

Ordered through doordash. I got exactly 3.5 pieces of broccoli and few smooshed red peppers at the bottom of the box and that was my "seasonal vegetables" soo disappointed with that... The steak was pretty good. the fries were hard and flavorless. Pics are exactly as they came. Yep look at those seasonal vegetables..

We held a special event with 12 guests, and all had a good time. Our server Diamond was absolutely fantastic, meeting all of our guests dietary concerns and creating delicious specialty drinks. The restaurant was short staffed, but Diamond kept up with the demand and kept checking in with customers. We will definitely dine here again.

Pretty decent local spot for steak and tex-mex. Not a great steak by any stretch of the imagination but it'll do at this price point. Onion ring and mushrooms were on point.

They had a great customer service! Our server was very fast and efficient. Although the food came a bit longer since it was a busy night (Mother’s Day) the food was delicious. My kids liked their chicken fajitas and cheese quesadillas! For myself and my husband we shared the special fajitas that has all the meat (chicken, steak, shrimps, ribs) the best part was their freshly made tortillas! It was warm and soooo soft! I love them! Overall a great experience!

**3.5 STAR RATING** I’ve been in Pickering since I was 9 and I’m 26 now and this was the first time I’ve ever stepped foot here! Atmosphere was great, hostess and waitress were nice. But the food… don’t think it was worth the price. We got the “limited time” nachos which was probably the best thing we ate. My boyfriend got the chicken fingers with curly fries and the fries were the saving grace of that dish. Chicken was slightly over cooked and the seasoning was bland. I got the enchiladas and it was filling for sure… but that’s because the tortillas are super thick and they only put three slices of chicken in it. I was basically eating a fat tortilla wrap with melted cheese, tomatoes, and sour cream on top lol. Also, the rice and beans that came with it were dry. I genuinely believe the rice came out of a microwave as it was DRY, and the beans were also over cooked. Overall, my experience here didn’t meet my expectations. I’d go back… but probably not for a while.

Slow Monday but staff not present. Ordered food and got first and only unlimited nachos, never asked if we wanted more. Food arrived and our soft drinks were empty, not offered refill as they left soo fast. Had to wave them down to get refills, again not offered nachos, and had to go find them to pay bill. Main course was cold - Chicken Chimichangas, and onion rings were over fried and uneatable. I gave it two stars because at least it was nice inside.

Ate here recently with my wife and kids. The food was overpriced and not very good. The bathrooms were clean, at least. Our server was helpful at first but the nowhere to be found when needed, despite there not being hardly anyone else in the restaurant. The only part of my meal I enjoyed was the "free" chips and salsa brought to the table when we sat down. My ribs were overcooked and also didn't taste right. Beans were bland as heck. Fries were soggy. Coleslaw was creamy but somehow bland. Just a bad experience all around.

Food was delicious and service was good! The only complaint is no one was cleaning the tables. Tables of customers who had left were filled with their dirty dishes. From the moment we sat down to when we finished our dinner, not one cup or plate was taken away, so we had multiple cups and plates left on our table while we ate. It was a bit confusing as typically servers would take away extra cups when they bring you a refill or side plates when dinner plates arrive.

On a Tuesday evening they were unable to accept anything but cash. The managers attitude was completely unacceptable and rude about the situation, considering we would had to leave and drive to get cash she could have been much nicer. When we got our fajitas the shells and rice were cold they were terrible. Overall it was not a fun experience, there are much better tasting restaurants with nicer management to go out while in Pickering.

Food was luke warm (but tasty), they canceled our reservation without letting us know, and the wait staff did not seem to want to help. May have been a long shift or long week for them, but still, hospitality is their job. Doubtful I'll try it again, maybe a different location but not here.

Service was good!! Food on the other hand not so much. The tortillas we got had a lot of raw dough, whoever is making them isn’t making sure they are cooked through. We literally had to pick out all the dough parts. We got the Texas family meal and the meat was blend. Not enough for three people as it states on the menu.

Location is horrible, service and food was meh. Nothing special. Seemed to have way to many staff and only a few tables full, so was annoying to have waitresses walking by every minute. Only 1 single stall washroom. I feel like the food is better in other locations as well as the layout. Table was tight... give some more space. The rice was disgusting felt hard... My waitress was nice though but your hostess is awful. Not friendly no smile nothing and when she seated us she put the menu so close to my face I had to literally just breathe so I didn't react to her... Lone Star was on my top 3 restaurants, but I will not return to this location at all, if I ever go back it will won't be in these ends.... sad because I was looking forward to this.

The pomegranate margarita is a must try! It's absolutely delicious!!! And so was the BBQ chicken fingers. Really had a great evening.
