Ordered the Pig out platter. The food was good, the staff on site were communicating very well and were friendly. The fries were absolutely perfect and I'd go back just to order them again. I would not order the platter again if I was to return due to finding another place where I found the meal to be a lot more juicy however the pricing here is far better than the other place. I still recommend having the platter to sample the menu out to help get a feel for what you like though. I definetly would prefer sandwiches and wings here. I also failed to mention the wings are huge and were seasoned nicely.

Our meats were a bit dry. The only one that was juicy was the brisket 👌 so I recommend taking that along with their mac n cheese. Very affordable for the quality and quantity.

We didn’t mind driving out to this location as the ones in Spadina has a very limited seating capacity and boy the drive was so worth it. We ordered the carnivore platter that could feed 3-4 people. The ribs were fall off bones and savoury, the wings are top notch and has very smoky flavour, pulled pork was deliciously sweet and tangy, my preference. However, I think they came short on the brisket as it has only 3 tiny slices and cut along the flesh instead of across. Also, I wish they would serve beers soon. These are the missing link to complete the 5-stars.

We were visiting Pickering for a sporting event… after googling “you gotta eat here, Pickering” Pig Out BBQ came up as a near unanimous choice and for good reason, the staff were super helpful helping and explaining to us the various options… which are plentiful and the portions were bountiful, we selected the Pig Out Plater which was more than enough for three… we ended taking a good size portion home, which then yielded three snack and a bit… I consider that to be super value. The food was great, good taste and bbq’d to perfection. Lots of in house made sides as well potato salad, coleslaw, fries… most of the items are gluten free by nature any, although it is not a gluten free restaurant… the only item missing was Hush Puppies… there is lots of free parking, tv playing news and sports, entering and exiting the plaza lot is a bit tricky, but way worth it. Tooth picks are also provided in the salt and pepper caddy…. Two thumbs up

Always have daily specials , their wings are top notch. Honey garlic sauce is very good either on ribs or on wings . Sometimes you get the dryer pieces on the ribs but it’s still worth it , sandwiches are so filling ! Good place to dine in . Their brisket is very good , I love their brisket sandwich . Staff is helpful.went back for Sunday specials full rack of ribs only $24.95 and rib sandwich with fries $10.95 had the ribs with sweet sauce added the Mac and cheese side . And the rib sandwich was with honey garlic sauce . Both were really juicy and fall off the bone ! They were near perfect. I absolutely enjoyed every bite . We did not leave any meat behind ! The Mac and cheese was so delicious. And fries with great with the malt vinegar. Thanks to the staff the are not only helpful but very courteous and friendly.

Ordered from Pig Out Bbq Pickering on Monday evening. Husband ordered the homemade burger and this is how it arrived. I should mentioned the outside of the bun was absolutely drenched in ketchup as well. Almost like they tried to cover it in ketchup to try and hide the burnt. Can’t believe a restaurant that’s been publicized so much would serve food at this quality. Very disappointed. Tried calling the restaurant with no answer. Have tagged the restaurant in multiple posts on their social media. No response.

Ordered dinner via Uber eats and had to come in the following evening, as my food was delicious. Got the ribs in spicy bbq sauce with a side of Mac and cheese. Very quick and excellent service. The gentleman that served us was polite and displayed great customer service. Special bonus they offered Grape crush🙂

TLDR; Probably the worst bbq experience we've ever had. Long wait time, dry bbq meat, stinky restaurant. We were in the neighborhood and decided to finally try Pig Out. We ordered 3 things, brisket mac, 1 roast chicken leg, and the boneless rib sandwich special with a side of coleslaw. Mains: It was the driest rib pieces I'd ever had to bite through!! Legit choked on a bite because it was so dry going down, couldn't even finish the sandwich. The chicken and the brisket mac were ok, but nothing to write home about. Sides: The coleslaw was tangy, so if that's your thing, go for it, but I kind of like mine a bit sweeter. The fries were indeed cooked well and seasoned nicely, which was the only thing I liked about this meal, and why I'm giving the 2☆ instead of 1☆. Restaurant: It smelled like floor cleaner in there. Not very appetizing to be in there smelling that. Wait time: The wait was ridiculous for what we ordered, 40-45 mins, maybe thats why the ribs were burnt to a coal.

Coming to this place for the first time, i had some expectations as to what i read on the media, it supposedly was good, but when i got my order, the food was poorly seasoned and overcooked i would say, as a person who is also in the food industry. Corn bread was dry and felt like it was sitting outside for hours. The fries were undercooked and the chicken was also poorly seasoned and cooked as well. I wont be promoting this business. Mind you, i had to wait almost 1 hour for my food 😒

After seeing the Pig Out BBQ on you Gotta Eat Here we decided we needed to check this place out. The staff were very friendly. We ordered a Jr. platter for $40.00. This included spicy chicken wings 🌶, ribs and beef brisket. Very delicious flavours. This platter also came with fries, onion rings and coleslaw. We were the only people in there and there were several people doing takeout. The food was not hot. Not sure why but as I said the flavour was really good. The ribs were tough as well which was disappointing. I did not complain because it wasn’t a bad experience it just could have been hotter. My issue with the Pig Out BBQ is that the staff knew this was our first time, we even asked them to pick what type of brisket to have - the problem was that we were charged $47.00 not $40.00 as posted. When we asked why they said the prices increased and they were waiting on a new menu board. They should have told us when we were ordering that there was a price increase. This was not good value and we won’t be returning. Reason for two star review - poor value, food was not hot and they didn’t advise us of $7.00 increase.

Super disappointed in todays experience. My dad and I fell in love with the food when this location first opened up. So we decided for fathers day to treat him to Pig Out. Our order was placed through Skip. We ordered 3 combo meals I almost left without my drinks and 2 sets of fries, I asked the staff if this was everything they said yes. I went to the car and realized no this wasnt everything. Went back in to discuss and "corrected" the order. After waiting an extra 10 minutes for 2 orders of fries, I come home to an improperly made burger missing 2 of the main ingredients which was dry and hard to eat as well as cold fries. My fathers burger was also dry, as well as my mothers brisket. The staff are pleasant to deal with for the most part. The skip app was blamed for the burger being made wrong as it wasnt described on the app on their end. But if this is one of the stores burgers I would be under the impression you know what the toppings are. Sorry to say we will not be returning to this location ever again. Below is the "Canadian Burger" supposed to have cheese curds and peameal bacon.. wish I could have enjoyed it.

Pig Out BBQ has been on our bucketlist for a while, and finally popped in for takeout today! We ordered to share: 🍔 Pulled Pork Sandwich 🍟 Small Fries 🐽 Piglet Platter (with 2 ribs, 4 garlic parm wings, brisket, sweet BBQ sauce, and a small side of Mac & Cheese) 🥬 Small Coleslaw The portions were huge and we had plenty of leftovers after our meal. The meat was juicy and the BBQ sauce was perfectly sweet. We were blown away with how big the “small” sides were (a lot bigger than we expected or have seen from competitors that also offer southern BBQ). Food was also quick (Takeout took about 15 mins for all this food). Will be back in the future!

We know this place very well since they opened and it used to be a regular take out place for my family until we moved a little farther away. Recently we have been taking out from another place and a very good one. However this time we had to wait over an hour to pick up and we couldn’t wait after 3 hours of exercise. We decided to order again from Pig Out again even though its 20 min drive away each way on the 401. However problems began right from the start with placing the order. We ordered the Jr. pig out platter with sweet potato fries and baked beans. Whomever was taking our order kept repeating herself if we are ordering Mac & cheese ???? We kept saying no Mac & cheese repeatedly. My husband went through the side choices one by one to confirm everything which included a COKE! They said coleslaw is complimentary but we knew this anyway from memory. We were excited to enjoy their food again but it was a big disappointment. First they gave us root beer instead of COKE and no one in my family likes it. Size of the complimentary coleslaw was a joke! One bite size for such a big platter and couldn’t share because of the bite size portion. And the meat was burnt and dried out. Especially the wings were hard to chew. Baked beans were crunchy which we never experienced before? When they said jr platter is good for 2-3 people, aren’t they supposed give at least 2 peoples portion size?? They gave not only a tiny size coleslaw but the pickle was so tiny, thinner than a pinky finger! This is because it was actually half a pickle!!! Sooo cheap! We spent over $60 including tax and it was the worst food quality and portion experience I ever had! I’ll never be going back! Memory of the original owner, it was very good quality food and really good portions that they gave out and we really enjoyed their service but when owner changed everything changed to down sizing. I don’t recommend this place to anyone! They provide a lack of quality food and portions. TOO CHEAP! I will stick to the restaurant where we go normally even if I have to waiting more than one hour. Same price but quality is vastly different and portions are much larger. Simply DON’T GO!

Respectfully, order through uber. Ribs were great. Moist and fall off tge bone. Mac and cheese good. Coleslaw good. The fries were horrible. The fries looked and tasted like they were deep fried yesterday morning and sat in a bucket all night. Dry, rubbery and over cooked. Stale. Garbage fries. Not fit to eat..thrown in the garbage.

I really enjoyed this place as I went off hours from rush hour but I clearly got everything made fresh for my order as it was hot and tasted great! I thought the price was a little high at first but I got enough food for 2 meals and that was the smallest platter! I got to try their wings, ribs, brisket, steak bites, cornbread and coleslaw and I loved all of them. I'll be back for sure!

When you first walk in there, it smelled incredible!!! Bottle. It. Up! Ordered the Pig Out Platter: 1. Full rack of ribs - delish and tender 2. 1/2 lb pulled pork - good 3. 1/2 lb of brisket - too dry for my liking ( maybe slice it thicker? More fat?) 4.1 lb of wings (Carolina Spicy)- wings were huge and that sauce? Dang, it was hooooooot 🥵 but sooooo delicious 5. 2 smoked sausages - dried out as the sausages were sliced.. And the onion topping was a little weird for BBQ 6. L sweet potato fries with chipotle dipping sauce - very good 7. L mac and cheese - a little bland but texture was good. Could have used a sharper cheddar or tangier cheese. 8. L fries - very good Overall a great experience that my family really enjoyed.

I loved the food I had here today. I had today's special which was a half rack of baby back ribs with fries for $14.99. The half rack was eight bones. The ribs seemed slightly dried out but they were really meaty with few globs of fat and no gristle. The portion of fries was generous and well seasoned although I prefer my fries a bit more crispy. I finished the meal with a milkshake which was the perfect texture for drinking without plugging up my straw. I'll probably be back as there are other options on the menu which look delicious.

Best bbq soft taco shells. Delicious tasty beef tacos with plenty of toppings and meat. Chicken was just as tasty. Meaty pulled pork sandwich. Both smokey and the sweet BBQ sauce was delicious. Very nice Cole Slaw salad. Was very happy with dinner. Food was very good. Definitely recommend restaurant.

Very clean roomy place we were acknowledged when we came in staff polite professional happy. Places wall decor very suits his style of restaurant that it is definitely not a fast food place so you can expect excellent quality food here. It takes a little longer than a fast food place again you're getting extreme excellent quality food. The menu is amazing you can drool over everything reading it. The particular dishes we had that day were Rey banquet Burger combo with sweet potato fries and and the Pig Out Burger which is amazing to the stop payment do it for us utensils napkins on your table you've got toothpicks you've got salt pepper BBQ sauce ketchup spicy sauce stuff solder are there again you got a TV can watch while you're waiting very roomy you can starring in or take out they also do catering I provided some quick shots of the menu I strongly suggest if you're looking for me T kind of dishes this is definitely the place to go also the staff member gave us some samples of their coleslaw which I like to. Very well price for what you're getting I'd say equivalent to the price of McDonald's to me.

Not even close to being the best BBQ in Durham or the GTA. Pig Out BBQ needs to work on creating authentic BBQ, as opposed to serving the lackluster food, which is prices in the "unreasonable zone," they try to pass of as BBQ. There are much better BBQ option to be had, at better prices, nearby. My advice is give Pig Out BBQ a pass if you are looking for authentic BBQ.

Popped in for a bite to try some BBQ. I tried the piglet platter, which came with 4 wings and 2 ribs, I chose brisket instead of pork and had a side of Mac n cheese. The price was amazing and the food was delicious. The staff was super friendly and polite and helpful with choice selections. Thank you! Had to get to go containers for all the extras.

Visited Pig Out for a friend's gathering and was pleased with their accommodation of our party of 10. The interior exuded an American home BBQ vibe, complete with rustic wood accents. The service was good, with our server guiding us through the menu and assisting with orders. Opted for the Jr. Pig Out, featuring a half rack of ribs, 1 lb of wings, 8oz brisket, and cornbread and fries as sides. Absolutely delicious and savoury, couldn't get enough! Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic American BBQ.

I hate saying something negative about restaurants, especially during the current climate but this was a pretty big disappointment. I called ahead to find out what was gluten free and was told everything was except the Mac and cheese was (the one answering the phone didn't know and asked a line cook). Great! Ordered the brisket meal and my husband ordered the chicken and ribs. I mentioned no half bun a few times when ordering as I can't have gluten. Sat down and waited for food. Table rocked but whatever. Went to the bathroom to wash up before eating and the sink is broken and the handle spins all the way around. Only exceptionally hot water comes out until you wiggle it just right. Food comes out and there is a bun on my order. I mention to the server that I can't have that "I know I know." And puts the plate down and looks at me. Oook can you please replace the food? Credit to them they do make everything fresh (after saying I cant have it if the bun is just picked off). Brisket was somehow both fatty and dry. Fries were pretty hard. Husbands food was decent but enjoys rib fest more and the ribs were burnt, 2 he picked the char off of, 1 rib didn't have the full meat. He's pretty chill so for him to say anything says a bit. The server and 1/2 of the line cooks leave as soon as we get the replacement meal. The 2nd line cook does ask us if we need anything like ketchup for the fries about 5 min after we get the food and says to just ask if we need anything. No one says anything to us for the rest of the meal and we are both slow eaters. We were pretty hungry due to driving for 4.5 hours so we made a good dent in the food but I definitely wouldn't say "you gotta eat here".

Third time I've had food from here, first time going in person. They need to bottle the aroma in the store, it's delicious. So far I haven't been disappointed in the food. The pulled pork is amazing, the portions are large, the fries are perfect! Service was great and fast! Highly recommended!

Not a very good experience. Ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and the 1/4 white chicken, online. The website said the sandwich came with chicken and bacon but it was just the sandwich and chicken. The fries looked old and soggy. Looked like they were prepared way earlier than I ordered. The 1/4 chicken was okay compared to the sandwich and fries but did not have a lot of flavour. NOT GOING BACK AGAIN.

This place has the best beef brisket sandwich ever ! I order. Few times a week until I had to take a break ! But for two months or so I ordered the pulled pork Sammy and the brisket. It's a must try!! They have two locations that I know of. One at Bathurst in Toronto and Pickering on Kingston road.

Probably the worst Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich I’ve had. When you order a Nashville, you expect a standard of quality with the chicken. This was tiny, thin and was not crispy. Texture tasted like a cheap frozen meat. Sauce was mediocre, and way too much mayo which made it very soggy. This was a big disappointment.

  • 4/5 Marcel L. 2 years ago on Google
I ordered the beef brisket dinner. The meat was delicious and cooked perfectly, the fries were decent, might have been better in a poutine. Great food and even better customer service.

Literally the best bbq I’ve ever had. The ribs were so juicy and flavorful. The cornbread was AMAZING. Not dry or gritty. When I asked who made it they said Kiefer makes it and it was amazing. The Mac n cheese was very good as well as the brisket. This is for sure a place you have to eat at.

I would say this has to be the best BBQ spot around! The chicken, beef brisket and Mac and cheese were all amazing! I recommend this restaurant for everyone as they have a variety of items to choose from and they’re all delicious! Definitely going to be a regular here!

We ordered the Pig Out Platter with the 3 trimmings (sides). Not disappointed at all, not even in the slightest. It was our New Years Eve dinner, and we called to place our order but were told they were sold out of Ribs and Wings! Totally understandable given trying to order dinner at 7:30 on NYE! But their manager called us back within 5 minutes to say they have wings and everything except ribs, so we said yes! So happy we did! The Brisket, Pulled Pork, Sausages and BBQ chicken were all delicious! The sides…let me tell you, get these three: fries, potato salad and macaroni salad. Some of the best of those three I’ve ever had at a restaurant! One of the best BBQ spots in Durham and the GTA! As my boy John Catucci said on TV….”YOU’VE GOTTA EAT HERE”
