We really enjoyed the food! The mix for 2 came with alot of variety. The beef kababs were very tasty and salads were fresh. Ordering online was also very easy. Would highly recommend this place.

Tried the kabab shoppe for takeout dinner over the weekend. We ordered the platter #3, kabuli pulao and a tandoori chicken poutine. The portion sizes were very generous and there was a ton left over. The kababs were delishious. The lamb shank in the kabuli pulao was decent be not fall off the bone like we have had in other places. There was complimentary salad with the white and red sauce which was also good. The food was definitely fresh.

Crazy good food. Nice environment. High quality and good price. Since I was a part of the MSA, we use to order from this location all the time. The meat quality and Marination is mind blowing. I don't know how they do it, the taste is out of this world. If you like Meat, do yourself a service and come here! I also love the express bowls, which are very affordable and are served up very quickly. The express bowls is an on the rocks dish, however the meat is chicken breast based. I think this is a great option for those that are ordering lunch for work and want a quick bite. Again I love the balance between quality of ingredients and taste at this location!

Great service and amazing portions/serving size. We ordered the Mix Grill for Two and it was more than enough for the both of us. Quality and taste was great too, the chicken was juicy and kebab was well cooked too, maybe a tad bit over? We got an extra “daal” though which wasn’t listed in the menu!

We really like middle eastern cuisine and wanted to try this place. We really enjoyed our butter chicken bowl and shish kabob with rice and naan. The salad was fresh and the naan was warm. This location seems to do a lot of takeout and pick up as we were the only ones dining in for a while. The inside is clean but for some reason no music was playing. Staff was friendly and food presentation and flavours were good. We’ll be back!

Updated: Jan 28, 2023 Inflation indeed has hit everyone so hard that businesses have started coming up with ideas to do value engineering... Ordered our usual tandoori fries with chicken and 2 naan today. Was hoping the naan would be the same as it used to be big oval shape as usual, but to my surprise, it was significantly reduced in size like a quarter of what they used to serve and its $1.49 for each quarter, not worth the money, and a bit disappointing to be honest. The photo is attached. These are the indicators the customers look for alternates. *****Old***** The lentil soup, naan, and Kabuli rice are absolutely delicious! Customer service is also really good. I once bought 4 lentil soups, and they stacked them on top of one another. When I got home, the bottom soups covers had melted. I called the shop to let them know and they gave me 2 free soups and dessert! One thing to keep in mind is that you should probably order in advance as the soup runs out very quickly and at times even their naan!

Over priced unflavored and unseasoned rice, dry chicken and beef kebab. The veal kebab is tough to chew and no flavor. This must be a franchise because the food quality is absolutely terrible stick to your traditional Maiamana restaurant. For the record I spend $31.61 to feed the coyotes.

We took our family here for Ramadan iftar. We went for their promotional iftar platters, and I have to say it was delicious and filling. The prices were very reasonable. We placed a reservation a few days before & they were very accommodating. They had our food ready just in time for breaking our fast & also provided complimentary dates, and constantly checked on us if we needed anything else. Generous portions, generous service. We were able to have an intimate time with our family & will make more visits in the future. Overall excellent customer service & quality. Thank you, guys! 👍

They are very friendly and good food. They have a bogo deal on falooda and shakes buy 1 get 1. I live their samosas they are cute and small. Chicken was cooked well very tender.

I was looking for a Halal Food place in Pickering and happened to stumble upon this gem. The workers are great and the food was amazing. The tandoori chicken was very tasty! Very nicely priced as well. Restaurant ambiance was 5/5

These guys are advertising buy one chicken get one chicken free and expect customers to have a live link by the time they get to the shoppe, despite each code apparently having a unique QR code. The link said to present QR code to the shop, not a live link. What a complete waste of time and disregard for customer service.

The man at counter( likely the manager ) is rude.. his attitude is literally like.. what do you need I have other stuff going on. And if he is on his cell he would ignore you. Also these folks give you very little sauce. The food is literally dry. Not bad at taste but plain dry.the kebabs they have me in a black container with no paper under it. the heat was enough to bring in the taste of plastic.

I'm a regular customer, I went in today for the BOGO deal they're advertising online and outside their store. The guy working there told me he wouldn't honor it even though I had the code. There were 3 separate people ordering and even though we all had unique discount codes he only honored one. Don't advertise things that aren't real or try to upcharge your customers.

Dine in experience was average. Food was good. The venue has a separate dining hall that can accommodate 10 people for private events. Enough sitting space in restaurant. They served dine-in food in take out boxes, paper plates and plastic cutlery. Also, for all different Kebab places in Durham, I felt food is expensive for the venue and ambiance.

Our go to spot for lunch, preordering on the app is easy and makes sure the food is ready when you go to pick up. The tandoori chicken bowl is a great portion size and lots of sauce and flavour. Different options for rice, fries, salad or half and half. Samosas are also very good flavour, small but still a good price for 6 of them with dipping sauce. Garlic cheese naan is good to share. Daily deals are also available. Some of the booths could use some fixing up.

We dined in and opted for this place over Kandahar and Bamiyan which are priced about the same. We were disappointed that the meals were served in plastic take out containers and plastic cutlery. Not only were the portions significantly smaller than we expected, but it was difficult to eat with flimsy plastic forks and knives. Naan came in a foil tray and salads in served in clear, lidded containers. Frustrated with not being able to properly enjoy my meal, we packed most of it to go so we could eat on our own plates at home. We were also not offered water to drink throughout our meal. A jug of water would have been nice. With an ambience like this and prices matching competitors, it’s simply unacceptable to serve food like this. We left underwhelmed and dissatisfied and likely won’t return.

First time visit this restaurant with not much expectations. Restaurant was not busy at all. To my surprise, food was amazing, semi self service. Price on relatively high side. But worth to try

Express chicken breast and rice. Rice or fries or rice and fries topped with mild chicken breast and sauces. Tasty with good quality chicken. Don't get the Naan bread though, not fresh bread. Buy 1 and get 1 1/2 price Tasty. Rating 4 star

I became aware of The Kebab Shoppe thru a foodie friend that sent me a flyer for a special they were running in December ‘23 for their family meal trays, specifically their tandoori family tray or chicken breast family tray. Great flavour and lots of food! I think we ordered like 5 times in December coz everyone loved it!!!

One of the best kabab I had in a long time, the nan bread was hot and super delicious. Meat was spicy but not too hot. They didn't give us an dressing for the salad but was a fresh salad. The rice was great. Very recommended restaurant and will be going back soon. Keep up the good work

Went in last night with my brother and the experience was epic. The service was phenomenal, the place is incredibly clean and the food was fresh and beyond delicious. The portion sizes are generous and you definitely get your money’s worth if you order the mixed grill for 2. It would feed 3 ppl no problem. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

I came in with my sisters late at night and we ordered the Tandoori Chicken Bowl over fries and it was absolutely delicious. We all loved the food and we as well the service. We would like to thank Tomas for his great service.

This place was absolutely incredible! the service was on point the taste was amazing. We got the Mini grill, Lentil soup, cheese naan, fries and salad on the side with grilled tandoori and Sheesh tawook chicken and 2 grilled beef kababs! Every single thing was delicious and fresh! I'm coming back with my family very very soon!

My wife and I grabbed a 2 person meal for the first time and loved it. Service was kind and friendly, The food is delicious and sure to please any palate - even small kids! We did take out but the space is very clean and pleasing too. There is also a separated area for a fairly large group.

I like their Special Kabuli Palau and Tandoori Chicken Fries. They always consistently tasty. I usually order for take out, especially during this pandemic. Just give them a call and pick up in about 15-30 minutes. They usually not too crowded.

This is a very nice spot in Pickering. We got the platter and split it between four people and two kids. There was so much rice and naan left. The meat is very tasty and the interior decoration looks good. The price is actually very affordable and the staff were accommodating. I recommend this place.

Lamb shank and chicken tandoori are so delicious

I have been a customer with this restaurant for very long time, and I used to enjoy the excellent food and service. Few weeks ago, they changed the type of rice they are using in their meals from the tasty long-grain rice to just ordinary white rice. Since everything they make comes with rice, the change made almost all their food not as good as it used to be. I really hope that they change back to the excellent long-grain rice that they used to make before, and I will be happy to change this review to five-star review.
