I frequent this pub regularly after my hockey games. The staff is super friendly, the food is always sooo good, the owners are always checking to see how your food is and the place always is clean and inviting. This pub is always my first choice for a place to watch the game especially now during covid because I know I can trust them! Definitely go here for your next night out! You wont regret it.

Nice pub that has a good selection of beer and food at affordable prices. Lots of space both inside and out. Excellent place to meet for drinks or dinner. Right now with covid it can fill up but they do accept reservations up to the day before space permitting.

Don’t order a steak here. I asked for medium rare and it came out well done to medium. When I explained to the bartender (I was sitting at the bar) that this is not cooked properly she took it to the cook and they cut the middle of the steak to show me it’s medium rare. It wasn’t. Regardless a steak should be cooked evenly throughout and I shouldn’t have to work my way through to get to my preferred cooking preference. Quite unprofessional to bring the food back and I feel the cook takes things personally instead of trying to please the customer. Not impressed at all.

The family and I had a great experience at the Royal Oak tonight. We enjoyed our meals and drinks, the food was very well done. Tawnia was a wonderful server as well! I would totally recommend, I can't wait to come back!

When I first discovered this place, I went back 3 times in the month. All times for weekday lunch,so they were not busy. There food is amazing and great portions. Especially there chicken pot pies!!😋 service each time was friendly and fast.

I had recently fallen out of love with this place. The last time I came here the beverages were overpriced, the service was really slow, and the food was pretty lousy. That being said, I had the pleasure of dining at the Oak this evening. The food was amazing and the server (Kate) delivered some of the best customer service I've ever seen in the industry. It renewed my faith in the Royal Oak franchise and I'm excited to dine here again in the future! 5/5 - would definitely recommend. If you have to choose between this and it's competitor State and Main (located on the other side of the plaza), please choose the Royal Oak.

Great place to enjoy a beer and food in the evening. Driving by noticed they have live music in the patio in the afternoon, will try that!

Really disappointing with the service and the drinks. Went there last week and one hour in, and still no appetizers. Service was brutal and their summer cocktails were just terrible for the prices charged. Definitely needs better oversight. We ended up leaving and decided not to wait for the food.

I've been coming here inconsistently for years but have never had a poor experience. Today however, the goddess behind the bar who's name I didn't catch striked me down with her agile and cunning visage, hair shimmering against the reflections of the windows and blinding me with nothing but pure gold curls. I was too rushed in and too rushed out to have the opportunity to give you my name but, I hope one day we meet again. If this gets to you, I had a red hat and a splint on, incomparable to your staggering prowess.

Personally I feel this place don’t treat people fairly. We waited for our food for more than 45min and their excuse was they had a large group to serve. If you can’t handle large group of people then you should mention to your customers the food will be delayed. I hope you are treating people fairly and not depending on their color.

Love this place. My wife and I like to come here every couple months (more often in the summer). We usually get the same waitress/bartender, but I’m blanking on her name. She’s awesome and I’d love to give her a shout out. Been there for at least 7-8yrs. Service is great, food is always spot on. It has that familiar feeling every time I go. It isn’t one thing about this place, it’s everything. If you want a laid back great place to drink beers on the patio. Go here.

The service was great! Even though only one person was taking the order for a large group, she did very well, especially with an individual bill. The food I ordered was disappointing.

Live band Thursday night as I post this. They are singing, “You give love a bad name.” The musicians were hilarious, it made for a wonderful evening Had spicy and garlic wings tonight. Good but it was missing something. Was a bit dry.

I went to the royal oak yesterday evening. Service was incredibly slow. After eating our app (the app was good) we waited a good 35-40 mins for our main and what arrived was inedible (two separate items). We have been to the royal oak before and enjoyed the food. I understand everyone has an "off" night and places are understaffed so I can let go of the service issuebut the level of inedible is something I won't soon forget. I know the typical response from management would be "did you tell the server you were dissatisfied so we could rectify?". The answer is no, like most consumers I will talk with my wallet and simply not return, food quality should be a priority without complaints.

We had a reservation for a work dinner with 60 staff attending. The Staff were amazing, Kate the manger is very helpful. Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I would strongly recommend the Oak for any event you might be hosting. Also great value.

Just discovered this place on Saturday and brought my wife in today to experience it. Love the place. Excellent menu and the portion sizes. Serving staff was attentive and friendly. Can’t wait for patio season so we can enjoy our meals outside. I had the steak and mushroom pub pie. It was amazing. Puff pastry was fresh. The accompanying salad was fresh and plentiful.

Great food and great service. I didn’t get her name but I think she was the bartender that was serving us at our table. She’s a pro. Friendly and efficient with great menu knowledge and suggestions. I had shared about medical reasons why I’m unable to consume alcohol and she suggested Heineken 0.0. So I was still able to have beer and wings! Returning is a must.

Took my family here for dinner on a Friday evening. It was pretty quiet when we arrived and we ordered drinks. The beer selection was disappointing. We we're hoping for some good imports or local brews on tap but it was the usual standards. Our server was absolutely wonderful, very upbeat and pleasant, and took good care of us. We all (2 adults, 2 tweens) ordered burgers and a shared appetizer (deep fried cheese curds). The appetizer arrived and it was tasty, but the pieces were very small, and the quantity was not what we expected for the price ($15.49). Then we waited. And waited. An hour. For four burgers. Our burgers finally arrived (my kids were ravenous) and I'm sorry to say, they were not worth the wait. They were over-sauced but otherwise under-flavoured. We were all so hungry by then it hardly mattered, but it was disappointing nonetheless. We were given a (one) dessert on the house for the long wait, but we won't be hurrying back to this location. Its one redeeming quality was the charming, pleasant server (hence the 3 stars).

Had the chicken pub pie, and the butter chicken. Both were delicious!! Steins for 7.25 and the wine was yummy. Crystal is a great server, friendly and timely.. and the manager was very nice and helpful too. Thanks, will def be back.

I went here for my 1st time celebrating my niece's graduation party. The atmosphere is fantastic, the food was amazing, the manager Kate is unreal, and Mad Dog (Madi) rocked the service! If you haven't been here, you're greatly missing out on a perfect pub night out!!! Superb night!!!

Super disappointed tonight! Our server was pleasant but terrible service. They ran out of food (deep fried dill pickles), the cauliflower bites were terrible and the Moscow mules were awful / didn’t taste at all like the actual drink. Woman at the table next to us ordered fish and she got half a small bowl of coleslaw. It was ridiculous- she gave it back to the server. Our server took forever to bring the bill. We had to ask another server and even then it took a long time. The warm goat cheese salad was good and the wings were good. Our server did offer to take the cauliflower bites off our bill.

Honestly I don’t usually write reviews, much less a negative one but this has to be said. This was some of the worst food I have ever eaten. Had the fish and chips, and the fries were completely burnt, bitter, and rancid. The fish and fries tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed in months. The gravy and coleslaw were also pretty much inedible. Maybe they’re only good for drinks and not food.

Came across this pub for the first time tonight, it has a really nice and big patio with a beautiful water wall! Our server Tawnia made an excellent food recommendation. As well as great service, she had amazing hospitality making our experience that much better. A fresh beer and good food, couldnt have asked for more. Will definitely be coming back here, as well we were told they have live music weekly! Looking forward to our next visit.

We had a Realtor function there today on the patio and the service was amazing. The drinks were cold and the servers were friendly and quick. I would highly recommend! Food was great too. All round great experience. We will definitely be back!

4.5 if it were an option. Ideal place for drinks and sharables with friends or family. The Royal Oak consistently has great drink options. I've had the Royal Cosmo which is a nice and sweet peach martini. Their old fashioned is well made and a great sipping drink. Their margaritas are stellar! The white sangria is also a classic choice. The food is also pretty good with the quesadilla, spin dip and anojitos being my go-tos.

Stopped in for a quick bite at lunch today and loved it. Had some antojitos for lunch and a cold Goose Island IPA. Food was excellent but above all the service was excellent. Crystal is a great server, she exudes warmth and hospitality.

Patio is great! It is big and has lots of space between tables. There are a few Tvs outside to watch the game. Went on Monday, $9 wings!! Friendly staff, and fast service. I will be back.

Ordered takeout for the family. The Kids Mac and cheese was a small bowl of cold kraft dinner for 8.50$.

I had a great time there recently. The staff was beyond friendly and the service was more than I could ask for. The food was also great and the beer was nice and cold! I will be back as often as I can.
