As a new Pickering resident (and someone who has consumed their fair share of butter chicken), I couldn’t recommend Namak Handi more. Their lamb biryani, butter chicken and Bihari kebab are our favourites! If you’re looking for amazing Indian/Pakistani food, try them out - you won’t regret it!

The food here was absolutely delicious! The kebabs were made with perfection! The naan break was also very soft and delicious. The kheer was pretty good too! The customer service was beyond excellent! Overall it was a great experience and can’t wait to try this again.

We tried this place for a casual weekend dinner and ordered a BBQ platter and their signature dish Lamb Namak Handi. I absolutely loved the Namak Handi, but there was nothing special about the BBQ platter. I have had better BBQ platters, so nothing special. But do try their Namak Handi. Service was ok and place offers in store dinning but has only a couple tables. Please like my review if you find it helpful.

I ordered chicken biryani that was not good because there is lot of cinnamon and few pieces of chicken, but the size of the biryani is too much. I suggest focus quantity of chicken and taste not on size.

They are about 1 year old and the service/food definitely shows that they are here to stay. Service - Every now and then, they would check on us to see if we need something. We went as a party of 4 with 2 kids and they went above and beyond. Food - Paneer Tikka Masala, Channa Masala, Butter Naan and Biryani Rice. Everything was 9/10 or 10/10. Kheer and Chai to wash everything down. Again, amazing experience all around. I have the habit of asking for sliced onions and lime... Again something they immediately obliged. I will be going back for their weekend Halwa Poori special. Reasonably priced. Good quantities. Definitely recommend for Indo-Pakistani food in the Durham Region. If uoi have tried Serena Grill, this compares favorably to it.

I always do my review based on three things 1 ) Food taste 2) customer service 3) Atmosphere bonus point for H&S 1 ) food, We order chicken Karahi and Kabab. I must say the Karahi was AMAZING. Chicken was cooked rite. It was very very fresh. She warned us that they cook fresh and it will take 30 mins. The Kabab where really good as well. I was more impressed with the Karahi. Every thing was perfect in it. Bonus point for behind halal. Garnished with some herbs very well done. Keep it going. The restaurant is also Halal 👍 2) customer service, she was ok and she was around. 3) we sat outside. The patio is very nice and sunny. There are also heaters there. It’s very well done. Overall good experience. Food was amazing. I enjoyed my time I will visit again. I recommend this place for sure. One thing they need to improve in is the washrooms. They are not clean actually they are very bad. Also the combo prices to go is a lot cheaper then to dine in. Not a very good thing. Recommendation : Love the Karahi keep it coming !!! It’s very good. I got to try their food at a friend’s party and loved it. The veal biryaani, karahai, naan, Chana masala and kheer were awesome. The star of the night was kheer. The amount of food was really generous.

Ordered 2 Bihari Kabab combos for my friend and I. Service on the back patio. Absolutely the best Kabab and naan I have had in years hands down. Kheer for dessert sent us over the moon. Had to order 2 orders for takeout for the fam and kheer as well. Amazing service 2 boot. 👍👏 Like Ahhnold "I'll Be Back!!!"

Made a take out order. Food tasted amazing, Pricing is very reasonable, and the quantity and quality is worth it. It’s better to order ahead though ,my wait time was well over the 25 mins. Would definitely visit again for a dine in experience.

The food quality is really really awesome. We tried the butter chicken, one of the best in GTA, Goat Karai and Chicken Karai. Way better than some big names. The garlic naan and butter nun was just perfect. The lady who took our order kept saying the order we are puting are not enough, so we increase from ½kg to 1kg, eventually we found that we have ordered more that what we need. They have only one waitress, and she is not one of the best, hence reducing a star. Food quality is still great. Overall, it's highly recommend.

One of the best halwa puri in Toronto. Great service. Very friendly. Definitely try the kheer.

Terrible food and unsanitary practices considering we are still in the midst of a pandemic. The person at the front counter has her mask under nose. She allows customers to walk in without masks. The food was terrible. The nihari beef was the worst I have ever tasted and the curry was more like canned beef gravy. The Dahl was ok and the chicken tikka was dry. There are so many really great places in Ajax Pickering and I am sorry I wasted my time and money on this place.

My wife found this place and she took me, my son and my daughter there. Well I drove because I am my wife chauffeur (lol). We ordered chicken pakoras in appetizer. And ordered mutton Karahi, chicken tikka, chicken tikka both, plain naan and garlic naan for dinner. Everything was superb. Mutton karahi was on top with plain naan. Meat was very tender. We ate food on Patio and felt like having food some were in Pakistan with good food. I recommend this place. Oh one more thing, Jameel (the owner) gave us kheer and didn’t charge for this….

Went there to have Halwa Puri, but they only serve on it on weekends so, got their Murgh Channa and Naan. It was raining so there's no sitting area and we have to eat in our car. The Naan was good my son likes it and Channa was okay.

I’m a big fan of Namak Handi in Pickering (Hwy 2 & Liverpool) because their Haleem is always pretty incredible, spicy & authentic. I have ordered their Chicken Biryani and their Paneer Tikka Masala, as well as their Karachi’s and they’re fantastic as well. We’re definitely regulars!!

First of all : Kudos for preparing food on time. Can’t even count the amount of times I have ordered food from desi restaurants and it’s never ready on the quoted time Ordered Chicken Layered Biryani, Boneless Chicken Karahi and Naan Biryani was good, if a bit dry… but that’s to do with the style. My usual biryani place was closed today so this was a decent alternative. Portion was really generous too. I’d rate it 6/10 Chicken Boneless Karahi was however amazing. Very well made with quality ingredients specially ginger on top added authenticity BUT for me it was a bit too spicy. Ofcourse that’s to do with my tolerance so can’t complain but it will be good if they tone it down a little bit. 8/10 Naan was 10/10 fresh and soft

Taste: Chicken Karahi was Fresh, tender, good texture and makes it even better with garnished spices. Naan: Perfect Naan. Properly done from edges. Price: reasonable Staff/owner: Friendly and humble Overall experience: A Must try spot. Will definitely go back to try more dishes. Ali

First time there with family and definitely will be returning. Food was great, platter was simple and delicious. Service was outstanding, waiter was quite nice and attentive. A little more work on beautification of the patio would make quite a difference. 4.5 outta 5 overall, highly recommend this establishment.

We have ordered from Namak Handi several times, ordering beef kebobs, chicken tikka masala and the biryani. Food is always fresh and always tastes delicious. A little on the spicy side but I’m sure you can ask for less. Price is also reasonable. We recently did a small catering order and they were easy to deal with and food was great! Everyone enjoyed it! Love this place and will continue to be a regular customer because it’s that good!!

Very tasty food and not too spicy. Rued the BBQ platter, nihari and keema roti and they were all delicious. I've called in my orders and they have always been ready on time. Will definitely visit again and try other menu item.

Very good and authentic Pakistani food. There Karahi’s and Bbq are very delicious. I have done couple of times catering from them and everyone loved their food. They chef’s are very good and have a great knowledge of food.

Excellent food and we all loved it. The owner Mr. Jemeel himself served us and took really great care of us. The kheer was offered complimentary which was one of the best kheer I ever had. We had Namkeen chicken Karahi and I must say it was authentic taste of Pakistan. Highly recommended.

I don’t have words to describe how delicious and fresh the food is at this hidden gem in Pickering. I recently drove by this place and thought I should give them a try. I expected average takeout and nothing more. I was blown away by the flavours and the freshness. They really exceeded my expectations. I have ordered takeout from them probably about 4 times now and the day of the week didn’t matter as to how fresh everything was. The flavours are so authentic and good !!! You will not be disappointed with them. Their prices are fairly reasonable and the portions are big. If you’re looking for traditional Pakistani/Indian food, I advise you to give them a chance to satisfy your craving. I was so satisfied with the food I’ve had here that I couldn’t resist using them for my upcoming event. I have my event this Saturday November the 20th and I will be following up with another review (an excellent one I’m sure) to let you all know about my experience with their catering. I cannot wait to experience it with my family and friends!!!

I tried chicken kabab combo, it was amazing 👏. The real taste of Kabab. Rice was good as well. Price reasonable and enough food.

Their food is good but what really annoys me their staff don't wear mask!
