My experience at this restaurant was so lovely. I ate here for the first time and it surpassed my expectations.Everything I ordered was really delicious and fresh. Especially the breads were really good. Highly recommend- Reshami kadhai paneer and cheese naan💯

THE BEST place to enjoy authentic Indian cuisines. Chicken mix grill, mutton rara, daal makhni, methi matar malai are some of their preparations that you must NOT MISS! I haven't had a really good tandoori chicken since the time I came to Canada, but this is definitely the place to be. And oh! Paan kulfi is something to die for😍 Thank you for satiating our taste buds with such amazing food. Loved it. Totally worth it and highly recommended!

Horrible experience when I try in person visit with this place. We used to order & pickup multiple times from this location we had very great experience with food, So last week we though let's visit and get more exposure but we got something else. Not sure if any clashes going on between server/runner and chef. but it was resultant with customers The other person who sits next to us also told us that "WHAT IS GOING ON" even that server behaving rudely with them too I hope this feedback makes sense to make the right way to improve in-person customer service. Food was good but loss marks in customer service

We had really good quality food today at Daal roti with exceptional service. Everything we ordered was tasty, fresh and hot. We had ordered Paav bhaji - which I can say was good except the paav were not of my liking but it's personal taste. Apart from it we had Mom chicken curry - really good, enough portion. I specially care about breads while eating out and all breads we had were really good. Tandoori roti fresh and crunchy, lachcha parantha was superb and same thing goes for Garlic naan - really good. All COVID protocols were followed - certificate and not too crowded. My husband was really impressed by the cleanliness of the place. Our server was really good too. I am definitely coming back for many times in future here. Thank you for tasty food and service. Highly recommended.

We’re in the process of eating at all of the restaurants in this area and stopped here a couple days ago for lunch. We really enjoyed it. The buffet looked good with lots of options but we decided to just order from the menu. We got Navratna korma and Chicken Korma plus a side of rice and naan. Everything was so flavourful. I also like when attention is paid to details: everything from the silverware, plates and bowls to the furniture and simple decorations was quite nice. Definitely recommend!

This place is exactly like the Mississauga location both quality and freshness of the food. The staff are incredible and polite. was very busy when we went and was told that there would be a wait. they always kept us in the loop. order food based off the recommendation of the server and it was spot on. have definitly found our new place to go. thanks again Daal Roti team

Great place to have Indian food. Was coming in to try their buffet. But unfortunately it's only for lunch . Quality and taste of food was good . The price is up there .. I would definitely come back ànd try their buffet. Staff was very friendly and very attentive.

I rarely give 5 star rating for a place but this place worth it. It serves a buffet that one can enjoy to the fullest - not too many items to confuse you but each and every item shows that it’s prepared with care with optimal spice levels. The best Indian buffet I have tried so far in the GTA. The place has awesome host who is very polite and takes good care be it serving the tables or refills. Only one thing that could be made better is the variety of rise dishes. The buffet we had only had jeera rice. A biriyani could be nice to have.

The ambiance was good. Outside the place may look old, inside pretty descent. All gravy and starters were good. The only problem is roti and Naan, which doesn't match the name of the restaurant itself. A lot to be improved please bring a separate roti chef. Otherwise, the inside of the restaurant was clean, but the buffet price is OK for the options given. Needs improvement.

Visited here last night with a couple of friends and the food was amazing. We ordered about 8 dishes and there is nothing bad to say, fresh and cooked to perfection. Would definitely visit again

Food was excellent! My only grievance was although the restaurant was empty (around 830 p.m.), they didn't let us take the big table, but then they moved us around between different tables because they thought we ordered too much food! Hilarious and a little annoying!

Tried their chicken 65 ,chicken biryani.The chicken 65 was ok but the quantity was very low.It tasted ok but for 16.99,the quantity could have been better.The chicken biryani tasted bad.The quantity was good but the chicken tasted old and it didn’t taste like biryani.The Service,atmosphere and ambience was nice.The lime soda and sizzling hot brownie tasted better than the food.

It was a great experience visiting the daal roti tadka house. I really loved their chicken mix grill and their masala naan was delicious. Their chole curry with naan was excellent. The best part is that they are HALAL. The ambience was beautiful and their mango lassi was refreshing. They have a buffet style service. So you can pick and choose what you like.

Probably one of the best chicken biryani dish I've tried. The food tastes so fresh and full of flavor. The gentleman at the counter was very kind. Though I did takeout, it was very clean and peaceful inside for dining. Can't wait to try some other options.

Awesome food and great staffs makes this place what it is. I was here with my family, we had a large crowd and i was expecting the bill to be very high, but to my surprise the rates here are very affordable and the food is delicious. Please do visit for gaining the wonderful experience!

We ordered the mixed platter from the appetizer section. It was $22 something. I was worried about the position but Oh my! The position was enough for atleast 3 people. The nans ware freshly baked. The daal Tarka was above average. Busy place!

5 of my retired colleagues and I met at the Daal Roti Indian Tadka House (PICKERING ONTARIO LOCATION) for a holiday celebration. I felt very safe there as they were careful to check our ID & proof of vaccination. We were treated like family/royalty. Their food is freshly made and so very tasty! Until now, my two favourite Indian restaurants were in Toronto & Glasgow. This restaurant now ranks up there in my top 3 favourites. I really loved their Tandoori Chicken appetizer, Samosas and Garlic Naan. Come to think about it, everything that we ordered was so delicious. We had the Adraki Aloo Gobi, Daal Tadka, Chicken Tikka Masala & Green Peas Pulav. We definitely plan to go back to this delightful place! Thanks ever so much to the wonderful staff! Take care, Judy.

We’ve tried Daal and Roti in Pickering many times and have never been disappointed. My go to place when I’m craving authentic Indian food and amazing customer service. Definitely a must try!

The food was served hot and was very flavourful! All the curries had a good amount of spice. I particularly enjoyed the tandoori chicken and the naan. I would recommend this place to anyone that loves Indian food.

I had tried their Non-Vegetarian options and the taste was good, so I expected that they will deliver the good taste with their Vegetarian options too. Oops!! I was wrong, the food did not deliver the taste as per expectations. Neither Appetizers(momos, pani poori, tandoori mushroom) nor main course (daal tadka, paneer butter masala, garlic naan, tandoori roti) worked, in spite of ordering items marked as Chef Specials.

My experience here was extremely bad. I never experienced such discrimination that I had today at this place. Head lady server asked us to sit on table that was on side. We requested her to let us sit on other coroner where other people were sitting. She clearly refused to let us sit there. We felt like we are from any other planet. Other people were keep coming and she was letting them sit at special place. We were family of three people I was embarrassed. Why I choose the place for meal. Never going back. International students are not welcomed here.

Brutally honest review here! I would give a 3.5 star, but Google doesn’t allow that, therefore the 4 stars. Let’s start with background! I was hosting a housewarming party for 20 adults(in-laws family) at my brand new home, I came across Daal roti as a google search, I had the pleasure of speaking with Amit who is one of the owners, he made some great suggestions and worked well with my budget. We ordered the Chili Fish (10/10❤️) Chicken Lababdar (100/10- SUPERB!⭐️), daal makhni (11/10)- so creamy and perfect amount of Tadka) the mutton curry (7/10) and it included a side of Jeera Rice, and Naans. All the curries were amazing, decent portions. However, rice was a small tray and insufficient (as you can see in the picture there are more curries than rice provided) resulting in guests eating conservatively and myself having to cook more rice while my guests were waiting to eat and try other curries. The naan they provided as a secondary option was left over because guests had a tough time chewing/tearing, i tried reheating a couple pieces and they got even more hard so unfortunately I had to cook more rice which defeats the point of catering and enjoying the ease of hosting my guests which was a bummer. I would’ve given a 5 star rating if we had properly portioned rice(i would suggest two trays of the same size for 20 guests as that was more for 10 ppl) or softer naan to enjoy these delicious curries with. Next time I’ll probably order rice and naan from elsewhere and get the chilli fish, Chicken lababdar and daal makhni from these guys which I highly recommend! Overall good food.

Since couple of months taste are horrible here. I think chef got change. Took longer than usual time to serve dine in. It used to be one of my favorite Indian authentic taste restaurant but not anymore. Hope they try to improve again. Thank you

Ambiance is good. Quality is great. But they need to work a little bit more on their taste. Overall a good place to experience authentic Indian food.

This is best restaurant in the town. We are in love with their food from the first restaurant they stared in Mississauga which was like a small cafeteria in 2012 or 2013. Then we visited so many times for small get together or parties or casual dinner in their both restaurants in west though we live in Scarborough. The owner lady is so friendly she comes and talks to us personally about how is the food and service etc. We were always in love with food and service. But now we visit this Pickering location so often. We love the taste and the service. We order takeout so often. Love this place.

Excellent restaurant to find amazing and authentic Indian food. The food was mouth watering and have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. The customer service was amazing, making us feel comfortable and making sure we were getting taken care of. The staff was great from beginning to end. Amazing food and customer service which is why I highly recommend this to others.

A great place to enjoy Indian food. The place was nice, great interiors, remarkable staff and service and the speed was also pretty decent. The place has ample parking and is easily accessible. The only thing that I feel could be better was quality and taste of a few veg curries, one of the curry we ordered was extra liquid and a little bit tasteless. But all the other food was awesome.
