WOW, where do I start. i usually don't leave reviews, but I feel that parents must be aware of the type of environment that their kids will be exposed to at this location. The club is not interested in their competitive program because it does not make money for them. They concentrate on birthday parties and the rec program as these are the money makers. If you are in the competitive program, I urge you to communicate with your child to ensure they are happy and that the coaches are treating them with respect. The coaching at the upper levels is sub par and if you are looking for your child to progress, I urge you to do your homework and explore other clubs to find the coach that will help your child grow. If all you want is a birthday party or to do recreational gym, this may be the place for you, but look elsewhere for anything else. for the sake of your child. The management team is horrible and will avoid contact with their customers at all cost. They do not value their customers at all, even after many years of supporting their club.

Our family has loved the Ajax location for years. We attended this location yesterday to take my nephew to class and was so impressed by this facility as well! My youngest wanted to jump right in from the viewing room. Will definitely try a make-up class here in the future.

I love it here. The staff are so friendly and helpful. My boys have been coming here for years. We go to both the Pickering and Ajax location. The boys class at the Pickering location is so fun for them and my youngest son goes to the ninja class at the Ajax location which he absolutely loves. Thank you Aim for always leaving us with a positive experience.

After bringing our little one there for about two months, this company arbitrarily and unilaterally changed the time of the class with one day’s notice (by email)! Most clients affected did not even get an email. When asked the rude lady at the front, Karen, very smugly said that’s too bad if we don’t like it! She is so rude and unprofessional. Also, the time change meant that our little one now has new instructors. During the new class, they were not watching the kids, playing with their hair (twirling with their fingers) and chatting amongst each other - not one single one of them was watching the kids while they were mounting spring boards. No training at all. Just ignoring the kids. Our child has not even been taught to do a simple cartwheel. They also ended the class super early at 52 min rather than an full hour - which is what we are paying for. They (especially that rude mouthy Karen) are so unprofessional and the parents and children really poorly treated. All the parents observed were upset with AIM and Karen. When the classes were over, Karen saw parents coming to the desk/office and she quickly closed the glass kiosk and scurried away - she saw a long line up of complaining parents and instead coming to deal with us, she ignored us and walked away! She and the others should be reprimanded. Very very dissatisfied and we will be spreading the word on what they did to us and others on social media that has over 4K followers. Ppl in Pickering should now how they treat clients and their kids - and the kids are not safe as the instructors do not watch them at all - they can get hurt! Very very unhappy with them.

There's 10 kids for 1 hour in a class. My daughter only gets 2 turns on the equipments. I'm so disappointed, the young coaches don't really care about their job, it's all for money. No interest in pushing kids further or looking for abilities. Complete waste of my money for 2 years. Paying for piano and swimming is better. Talking from real mom experience!

If I could give 0 stars To this place I would! The director is so unpleasant to talk to, extremely defensive, plays the blame game and doesn’t let customers finish the line. Not at all helpful! I had registered my little one months back and was advised classes were opening up in the summer and got not a single call back updating me about the situation. When I tried to do follow ups I got attitude from the director. I am happy I didn’t let my kid come in here as it would have been a disaster. There was not a single apology

Had our daughter's 4th Birthday Party here. Upon entry, no one greeted us. I thankfully figured out which room was ours. Unfortunately, the front table cloth was crooked and ripped; clearly done in a rush without care. I was initially pleased to see the beautifully written "Happy Birthday" on the large chalkboard, however, my daughter's name was written so messy with days of chalk dust brushed behind it, instead of actually being cleaned and nicely written. Later my mother and husband had to find someone to ask for chalk, then they washed the board and rewrote her name themselves. Party Room 1 is in obvious need of REPAIR and regular maintenance. The zipper closet cover is falling apart; the tables are all terribly vandalized, and the overall space is messy and cluttered with materials crammed and stacked everywhere. Once somebody had realized we were there, the woman who was periodically in the office, approached me with a stack of cups for our guests and a t-shirt for our birthday girl. The actual gym portion was great overall. The young man leading was engaging, but the other young lady didn't seem too thrilled to be there. Parents were held back literally confined to standing the doorway to the gym which is obviously not ideal with 3/4 year olds. With another party and classes occurring at the same time, the very small viewing room is too small and too far for parents to actually see and enjoy their children participating during the party. Parents of parties should be able to freely follow along the circuit with the group; especially since they are NEEDED in some cases, as one of our guests FELL off the tall beam WITHOUT any support. During our party room time, when I ran out of the plates that I thankfully brought myself (along with cutlery and napkins), I had to quickly go ask the office woman for plates. When I told her I ran out of my own, she looked PUZZLED and said, "You shouldn't have brought your own" and gestured for me to follow her. We walked to the other party room where the two gym instructors were and UNprofessionally in front of me, she asked them something like, "Did you guys not put plates and napkins in the other party room?" Frantically, the young man came looking in our party room and scrambled to find a SMALL amount of (surprisingly styrofoam) plates and some nice white napkins. As in the contract, AIM indicates the following: "We provide (plain) cups, plates, napkins, and cutlery for party guests and parents" - clearly this did NOT happen. While we were cleaning up, I realized that our birthday girl did not receive her personalized certificate as indicated and advertised. Again, I went looking for the office woman, who I found sitting in the viewing area and asked about it; she looked annoyed and told me to ask our host. I replied "I don't even know who our host is" (since NO ONE introduced themselves, welcomed us, thanked us, or took care of us)! She pointed to the young man in the gym; whom I had to approached WHILE he was instructing another group and asked him. I said, apparently you're our host, I don't even know your name. He apologized said that the certificate should have been given to me with the t-shirt. Again, the poor guy went frantically looking in the other party room and office. I assured I would email to get it and he should get back to his class. Sadly, our overall experience with AIM Gymnastics was very DISAPPOINTING. They are clearly understaffed and/or lack CARING staff and are charging customers way too much money to essentially be FORGOTTEN about. With a rushed time frame of only 45 minutes in the party room and NO TIME before or after to actually SET UP - it is obvious that AIM simply wants to take peoples' money and not actually provide a QUALITY SERVICE. Also, as previously brought to their attention, a neighbouring gym charges $25 LESS for 15 minutes MORE and five MORE children; and their party room facility is far superior. Having said that, I will NOT be booking a future party at AIM, nor, will I recommend it to anyone.

Well trained coaches of all levels! Office staff are super helpful, had the pleasure of dealing with Nicole on numerous occasions. She always made sure to find a solution to my inquiries. Referred AIM to all my family and friends. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for recreational or competitive gymnastics programs. You won’t be disappointed!

Was surprised to find out that we were never registered or enrolled in classes, despite communicating with staff that we did want to confirm registration. which is hilarious bc we’ve been attending 2-3 classes already 🤣 had I not spoken with the receptionist we would have continued attending classes and I don’t think anyone would have even noticed! There seems to be quite a bit of disorganization and a lot of miscommunication. Would recommend parents clarify and double check with the office that you are indeed registered. Unfortunately, we are now forced to be enrolled in another earlier class which could have been entirely avoided with better organization on the part of the company. Would also recommend staff/owner/manager receive customer service training. I was honestly not upset in the beginning as mistakes happen, but her defensive attitude and inability to let me finish my sentence without trying to play the blame game was incredibly irritating and unnecessarily escalated the situation. Hoping for a smoother transaction moving forward. The classes we have attended so far (which seems like no one knew we were even attending 🤣) have been great. We are now hopefully properly enrolled in the toddler classes. These classes are run by teenagers and they are doing a great job and keeping a positive attitude despite a lot of cranky toddlers crying at times!

Based on the owners reply below I want to restate that she reached out finally a few days ago after months and I mean months of asking for a report for my child. She is straight up LYING .I would give this place a zero if I could. I had my daughter in this program since October. We never got progress reports, Unless you count the empty one we got with no feedback at all. I sent numerous emails with no action taken to get us these reports. After numerous attempts we were lied to by Nicole saying the coaches had sent us the reports. Avoid this place at all costs. Look at their average score. Its like that for a reason. When Nicole responds to this do not believe anything. Yes she called me trying to respond to the issue but after months and months of being ignored we pulled her out and we are going to try somewhere else I will make sure to not recommend this place to any of my friends or family. Poor customer service but have no problem taking payments from parents those are always done on time.

What a great experience I had today with the front office staff. I had to go into the facility for the first in a very long time and as per usual I was greeted with a helpful, respectful person. I was worried I wouldn't find any one due to civid restrictions, but what a joy to have someone who wanted to help me and I left with a smile, knowing my young children are in such a positive environment!

The Pickering Athletic Centre is a fabulous gym. The children love the gymnastics, the coaches and the friends they make, be it in camp, classes, special events... Safety is priority, followed closely by fun and learning! The coaches truly care about each of their athletes and are knowledgeable about the sport. Every child is taken care of and allowed to progress safely at their own rate.

We had our son's 4th birthday party there this past Saturday. Booking it with the office was a breeze. The coaches that ran the party were amazing! The kids had so much fun! We'll be back again next year. Great job PAC!

AIM is amazing! My two girls have been going here for 8 years now and I have nothing but excellent things to say about this gym. The coaches are patient and attentive. They have great positive energy and teach with encouragement and enthusiasm. I have seen my girls grow in confidence and strength, both inner strength and physical strength. They are unafraid to try new things because they know they are safe and supported. It’s not always perfect, we’ve hit some bumps along the way but management and staff are always fair, respectful and try their best to find solutions. There may be many options out there for gymnastics, but we’ve stayed with AIM for 8yrs because they really are the best!
