I am very pleased with the programs at Planet Gymnastics in Pickering. I have 3 kids in 3 different programs, advanced, recreational and kinder gym. All 3 can't wait for their weekly class and most importantly, all 3 are making amazing progress in strength, flexibility and self confidence. The staff are all very knowledgeable, they have a lot of patience with the kids, an even mix of male and female instructors and they all look like they enjoy working there. The facility is very clean, I actually don't mind taking my shoes off and walking in my socks or bare feet. I would highly recommend planet gymnastics!

Both of my daughters have been going for a couple of years now. The instructors are great (especially David & Brittany). I have seen my children's skill levels greatly increase; everyone is so encouraging. It's also nice to be with a gym whose focus is on helping the kids excel, and not pushing kids (and their parents) into a competitive stream.

I was compelled to write this review. My most recent experience here was simply terrible. I can’t help but wonder if she would have treated her Caucasian clients the same way. It’s obvious she lacks self diversity within her staff. Denise took it upon herself to project her problems on me by being dismissive and rude over my small complaint. She lashed out at me publicly in the presence of all the parents and children. I am at lost by what I have experience because I have been a loyal client for 3 years. I have referred friends and family who have turned into long-term paying customers. I have invested a lot of time and money here to ensure my daughter was comfortable in this setting. My hope was to propel her further in competitions and I had mentioned that I intended on seeking private training sessions to further that goal. My daughter is already enrolled in a few private sessions for other sports but I saw great potential for her in gymnastics and was really looking forward to working with Denise to help her reach her full potential. On Sunday, upon returning to this establishment, I was surprised and disappointed to see the changes in coaches but hopeful that the familiarity of the location would provide my daughter with a sense of comfort and security. My daughter is accustom to doing back and front rolls and head stands amongst others; due to the training ability of her former coach, who has left. However, 33 minutes into the lesson, the coach asked the small group of kids to quickly do star jumps then roll around and then play at the jungle gym. I was disappointment with the lack of effort they were putting. I asked one of Denise’s staff and she was so pleasant and professional in her response by suggesting to advise the coach to provide my daughter with more challenges tasks. Unfortunately, the coach she spoke to seem uninterested. Therefore, I thought it was best to approach Denise. I have never complained before and try to always remain respectful especially with people working closely with my daughter. I walked up and in a soft tone spoke to Denise stating that I was disappointed with the lesson. She immediately snapped at me with a tantrum stating that she’s working now, so I can wait, move her to recreational or do whatever I want. In shock, I responded with “Denise we are going to lose the attitude. I have been a client of yours for 3 years. There is no need for the attitude”. I walked out of the gym and sat down in shock. Denise walked out and demanded to speak with me in the party room. She said she did not intend on being rude and that she’s “sorry I feel that she was”. I asked her to acknowledge that how she spoke to me was rude and unprofessional. She responded that she would NOT admit to that. I then asked for a refund, and she agreed and walked out. My business and the happiness of my daughter meant nothing to her even after my continued support during Covid-19. Note - A successful business holds great regard in providing great customer service, even during difficult times.

Nice place for the kids. Have some good activities. Was there for a birthday party. If you are going there, always remember to wear socks (you and your children) as the shoes are not allowed. You have to create a profile for your self and for children and it will be checked when you enter.

Brooke and the rest of her team at Planet Gymnastics in Pickering are truly the best! My two boys had the pleasure of being with Coach Brooke and I found her to be extremely patient, encouraging and enthusiastic to motivate two toddler boys to stay focused in their class. All of the coaches that we have ever had are all genuinely positive and motivating. The program in it of itself is always changing, yet consistent so the students/kids know what to expect. The staff are accommodating if you are unable to make a class, they issue make-up tokens so you don't lose a class. The facilities are very clean and the staff take hygiene very seriously with the encouragement and use of the hand sanitizer. Overall, I would highly recommend Brooke and the rest of the team at Planet Gymnastics for gymnastics whether it be for an extra-curricular activity or for a birthday party.

My two children have been attending Planet Gymnastics for a number of years now, and they LOVE it. They started with parent and tot classes, then kindergym, and now they are both attending the recreational gymnastics classes. Every week has a new theme, and there are different areas that they move through during each class. It is a pleasure watching them acquire new skills and gain confidence, all while having a great time!

We LOVE Planet Gymnastics!! My daughter has been attending Planet since she was 18 MOS old. The staff are amazing with the kids. She loves attending her regular weekly lesson/ as well as Summer Camp. The staff put a great amount of detail into their lesson plans/ and weekly themes with the children. Every week is a different theme/ lesson plan so it doesn't get repetitive. Perfect place for a weekly gymnastics lesson!

Amazing staff. Shawn and Denise are very caring. They go out of their way to keep the kids happy and busy. They are we’re also very helpful when it came to finding the right class. I would highly recommend Planet Gymnastics for your child’s gymnastics program.

My daughter has been going to Planet Gymnastics Pickering location for several years. The staff are great, especially her coach Brittany. (Brittany you are the best) They are so accommodating and understanding of schedules and rescheduling classes. My daughter has also attended summer/March break camp. She always comes home so excited about what she did or learned. Will continue here as long as my daughter wants to.

This is our 3rd season at Planet Gymnastics and we continue to be blessed by the staff and programs here! Both our children have learned useful skills, made friends, exercised in fun ways, and I'm convinced gained a whole lot of confidence through this facility. The classes are very organized and run well - even down to the little details that make kids feel special like getting a fun stamp at the end of each class that changes weekly. Would recommend to anyone :)

We had a birthday party and every thing was great. Lovely staff, clean and large facilities. My son had a blast. One big advantage is you can have 25 kids in the package and so this is best if you host bigger parties. The only downside is about their online waiver. It was hard to remind my guests to fill in prior attending the party and was an extra stress on my sholders. Your guests need to create online account, they need to confirm email and put so many info . Hard in these busy days prior you come to a party. I think it is better they offer some devices to fill in upon arrivals. Still strongly recommended . Thank you for making my son's big day special :)

This is the second season in a row that we’ve brought our daughter here and she loves it. Staff are great and professional and enjoy what they do. I Highly recommend this place!

UPDATE: Planet Gymnastics did reach out to me after this review to apologise about the bad experience and to discuss further. I do commend the team for taking time to address concerns and bad experiences directly. My 4 year old son (who wasn't misbehaving) was grabbed by a staffer who dragged him out towards the door by the arm... We attended for a birthday party and the ONLY reason they got 2 stars is because my 4 year old enjoyed himself. However, after a group photo in the gym we were all rushed out of there. My son thought we could play again so he ran out to a corner of the gym. For context, my son just thought he could play again. He wasn't purposely running away or being naughty when this happened. Before my husband could get to our son, this staffer kid grabs him by the arm to drag him towards the door of the gym. It happened pretty quickly, but my husband and I didn't make a scene because it was a birthday and we didn't want to ruin it. We'll never EVER go back here or ever recommend this place. Appalling!

My 3 year old daughter LOVES going to gymnastics. The staff is so amazing, they are so enocuraging and patient and the atmosphere is awesome. Highly recommend.

My son attended rec gymnastics for almost 10 years and at 15 now, still has great memories and best friends from there. My daughter has been going here for 5+ years and attends advanced rec classes. She thoroughly enjoys Shawn, Brittany and the many friendly staff there. She wants to be a gymnastics coach when she's older thanks to the amazing coaching she has received at planet gymnastics!

My Charlotte has enjoyed the great programming, facilities, and instructors at Planet Gymnastics for several consecutive years - both for recreation and for summer camp. She leaves each session feeling good about herself and about the time spent with her teachers. I highly recommend Pickering Planet Gymnastics to all parents for children of all ages and gender. There is something for everyone there, and when you look beyond the glass as you watch the children, you can tell there is happiness and self-confidence brewing and budding.
