2 stars because Usually I get decent haircuts here, the turnover has been huge so the quality has gone down. I walked out with an unusually smaller beard and lots of cuts. The Barber seemed to be in a hurry to finish the job.

I've been coming the the Barbershop Pickering for a few years now. My go to person is Rose. She is very nice and consistently does a great job. Rose is helpful and if you have a request about your haircut she listens and can get it done. Whenever I come out of the barbershop I look like a different person, almost like an Adonis 😁💯. The owner Domenic is great too and very nice guy. I'm always happy to visit this place and will continue to in the future.

I decided to change barbers, and visited this location at the Pickering Town Center. There is an older gray haired West Indian lady who runs the place. Not sure what her name is. She butchered my hair so badly and never apologized for it. All she kept saying to herself was "I'm in trouble, I'm in trouble " . Very poor customer service from her. I would never recommend this location to anyone. I don't think I will ever get my money back. A heartfelt apology would have gone a long way. DO NOT GO HERE! Spend your hard earned money someplace else.

I went in for a cut that was done very quickly. I told the barber I wasn't sure how short I could get it cut (as I had to get in contact with my agent) so not to do a full fade but just a scissor cut which he did. At the end he did not show me the back of my head which granted I did not think to ask for - that's on me. About 10 minutes after I got my girlfriend to take a picture of the back of my head for me to see, and it was extremely poorly done. I went back and told them I wanted it fixed but because they were closing they told me to call back to schedule it the next day. When I called I told them I had contacted my agent and they approved the fade and that when I came in that's what I would get where they said okay. At this point they could have told me for this service they would charge me a full haircut and not just a fix but they did not. Once I got there the new barber asked what I wanted and I showed the picture of a previous fade I had where she could have again told me it would be extra money but did not. The cut was a little shorter on top then I wanted but that's fine it will grow in a few weeks. When I went to check out they informed me I would have to pay full price. I explained to them why it should not be so - as it was still a fix from the day before where I was unhappy with the cut, it was under 24 hours later, and they could have informed me at any point before the actual cut that it would be extra money - yet they insisted I pay full price. I argued for a little while but I didn't want to spend all day. I did not ask for my money or my tip back from the first cut. I did however pay for the second cut but did not tip. I personally do not recommend this location as I do not find that they have a service that cares about their customers. They are unreasonable and dont put in the effort that I've had with other shops.

It’s so disappointed to my son hair cut, my son is very upset with his haircut . Told to the barber what cut he wanted instead the barber keep cutting his hair short. Not coming back to this place.

I went to this barber shop excited about my haircut! I went in there and a man cut my hair. He did a really good job until he was cutting the top of my hair, I asked for 1 quarter of my hair cut, and he cut three quarters. But then they gave a discount so it's ok I guess. But if you go there make sure to really clarify what you want.

Horrible experience! After speaking with hairdresser SAL to leave the top long, he said he understood. We left our 14 year old with him, five minutes late our son calls to say that he is done. SAL buzz cut all of my son’s hair. It took our son four months to grow…gone in under 5 mins. How is this leave the top long! He does not do what the customer asks and unfortunately our 14 year old has no say. Total abuse of power. We wouldn’t take our dog to this hairdresser. When my husband approached him about the mistake he turned his back. Awful do not let this man cut your hair!

Would not recommend. The stylist doesn’t ask you for your preference or needs. You’re already paying $45 for a cut, and then there’s beard package, by time you’re done paying both it’s overpriced for no reason.

I'm truly disappointed with the services we received at this location not on once but twice! I'm not sure why they are still named the barber shop if those who work there can't cut MENS HAIR properly. My partner went in to see ROSE who was suppose to give him a fade and a cut.... She did the bare minimum and told him to come back in 6 WEEKS when it only took one week to grow back. He's been going to them for years when they were actually good. I'm not sure what happened though the years but we will be taking our business elsewhere. If you can't provide the proper service give it to some who can do it properly.

Last minute call and they fit me in at almost closing time on a Sunday. Friendly staff and very efficient.

Dom, Rose and Nela are all awesome barbers. I do see Rose the most and my fades are always clean and perfect for work. Dom is the manager and still cuts just because he loves it but is always booked. Saw Dom today and it was like catching up with an old friend.

I’ve been coming to this barbershop of years now, staff is great. Rose is amazing great at fades and overall customer service. 10/10

I've been coming to this place for almost 2 years now. Everyone is friendly, and I have never had a bad haircut from any of the barbers (Daniel does a really slick job on my skin-fade). I also take my dad here and he has Alzheimer's. They make him feel comfortable and that's another win.

I showed a picture of what I wanted (a picture of myself and how it normally gets cut elsewhere) and I got something completely different. These are armature barbers who only know how to buzz your sides and make you look like a soccer player. It's 30 bucks, so better you pay the extra 10 at a proper barber (you know the kind that shines your shoes with red and white barber stripe pole). I considered walking out and not paying.

Love this place but it’s really gone downhill lately . Got my regular cut, asked for a 0-1 fade and got no fade at all. The barber started with the 1 and then erased the entire fade by going over the whole area with the 0 afterwards. Also the fact that they charge you an extra 20$ now to even touch your beard is wild. No straight razor , just a two minute trim with a comb and a buzzer. So my neck and cheeks were still prickly and I ended up having to shave when I got home. If you go here make sure you wait for one of the barbers who have been there for a few years to be available, because some of their new staff just ain’t cutting it. (Pun intended)

Nella did an amazing job making my difficult hair look great. The other staff were super polite and helpful.

I went in for a haircut and I'm very happy with my experience from the reception to my hairdresser who cut my hair she gave me the cut exactly how I wanted it she also went far and beyond to trim my hair around my ears and my long eye leashes for me and then she washed my hair. Overall I would say my experience was exceptional from both the reception and stylists. If I ever need another haircut I'll definitely go back there.

After searching on Google during the current lockdown related to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was lucky to find this location open for business. Everything went well from beginning to end with a great haircut and excellent beard and moustache trim done by my stylist Ben who was a true professional. Highly recommended location! Because of the restrictions only 10 people are allowed at one time. Walk-ins are not being accepted at this time. Call and make an appointment.

I had the worst experience with the barber Nella. She is very rude and obnoxious. It was so weird for her to start washing my hair in the middle of my haircut. I am never going back to that place.

Rose is amazing!!! We came because of her, she wasn’t available and made a mistake to get a cut from Daniel. We’re not very happy with the cut he gave and his attitude. Will definitely come back, but only for Rose.

All of the other reviews are right, the lady named Rose has absolutely no idea what she is doing and can’t even cut hair correctly when shown a picture of your last cut

first of to begin the barber was extremely rude as i asked one simple guestion and she started calling me tedious. i also asked for a trim and she did a horrible job for a 30 dollar haircut. over all, i recommend staying FAR away from this store as it is horrible

Dom is my go-to at this spot and has been for some time now. The professionalism and quality of cut are exceptional every time I come out and the customer service is amazing. If u go here definitely ask for Dom. The best cut I’ve had in all my years.

I like the place, and people working there are nice. But now if you need a haircut "size 0", or 0-fade, or shave whatever, they will charge you $ 5 more. I find it a bit of a scam, unless you don't tip, which is fair in this case. Today I'm going to get a haircut elsewhere.

If I could select zero stars, I would. The owner HUNG UP THE PHONE on me while I was addressing my concern. Rose cut my sons (6years old) hair, and CUT him in 3 spots. I don’t mean just a little cut from the blade, I mean a full cut that I am not having to treat with Polysporin. She was wiping blood with the towel and when I asked she said “oh not blood” and folded the towel over. I am Disgusted with the treatment towards their customers. This is unacceptable. DO NOT GO HERE. It is the absolute WORST place in the world for haircuts.

Booked appointment for my son today with a Arnel, one of the barber and was turned away when they got to the shop saying they are booked! He refused to see my son saying that he is fully booked. Why book us when you know you are booked. This wasn't the first time my son had a haircut here. Very unprofessional. Will never go back to this place.
