My most favorite place in the mall, the toy shop of course. The store is well organized and is always stocked with a wide variety of games. What I especially love about Mastermind is the mind bending toys and old style board games. One of the last few places one can find science focused toys. They also have a decent collection of books and some high end electronic gadgets. Overall a very nice store with helpful and friendly staff.

Came in to purchase 2 Paw Patrol Cars for my daughter, was waiting in line for over two minutes. 3 of the store reps/cashiers, what ever they do, were congregated and chit chatting, While waiting in line mind you by the cashier, there was no greeting when entering, no apology as well that was given to us, but an older white woman just came in and was assisted immediately, she said well I believe the two infront have been waiting. Absolutely terrible. After our purchase, my daughter was looking at few of the items and another coloured family was waiting and not being helped at the Cash and also back congregated talking I walked over, and was like Hi, there is another family waiting . Those 3 definitely need to step up whatever customer service skill they possess. Was clearly evident they did not want to assist people of colour. ZERO STARS

Amazing store and great selection! They got everything you will needs for your kids. But they are not the cheapest, be sure to compare the price with other stores. They have train tables for the kids to play in the store. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Newly renovated Thomas Train Table!

Lots of toys for the kids out here. Place is clean and well organized.  Bring the kids and they get lost in minutes Much more pricey compared to Walmart . But if you can find a deal or on sale .it's pretty good

Not the cheapest store, but they have a great selection of fun and educational toys and games and books. If you get there during a sale, you will do well. Staff is friendly and very helpful, too.

Good selection of toys but a bit pricey

Selection is non-existent now. Also, staff approached me to offer help to which I responded with the traditional “no thanks I’m just browsing”. Well he didn’t care and spent the next 3 minutes telling me about all the sales and specials. Completely clueless to the fact that I was facing the other directing and trying to walk away. I left immediately after and won’t return. Guess it’s back to the Amazon jungle.

Went to buy a last minute gift and was happy to find what we needed and in the set budget.

I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service at this location. its probably the best customer service i have ever experienced the associate that helped me was named karen and she went above and beyound to help me pick aa few easter presents for my nephew i gighly reccomend this store and will for sure go back in the future

I do like the variety of toys, games and puzzles. But, I find they're overpriced just for the store. Unfortunately, you can buy a lot of the same things at other stores for cheaper.

Mastermind is a one stop shop. The staff at this particular location are absolutely amazing. Cory is exceptional with his knowledge, very friendly personality and an all round nice guy. Give him a raise!!!

Mastermind is my favorite store to visit at Pickering Town Centre! It's always a favorite destination for me and my family. One side of the store always has a hands-on game for you to try (in the past a train table, recently table hockey). There's always new books and interesting games to see every time we go. Can't think of a more favorite place to be!

Sale items listed behind the counter are advertised as reg price and sale price. When I asked to buy these sale items I was directed to a display elsewhere in the store that showed in small writing that you have to spend $25 first. Straight up false advertising and customer service told me too bad. No one would honour the advertised price.

Store is a decent size, lots of toy selection mostly for children but there's a few things that teenagers and adults may find interest in as well.

Love this store. Super organized. The staff is very helpful and welcoming.

Curbside pickup was such a smooth process! I ordered a few items for my daughter’s birthday and didn’t know they offered free gift wrapping for members. They were closing when I got there and the lady offered to register me as a member and wrapped my items super last minute! This is so highly appreciated! Thank you so much!

Many great toys and divertisments for all ages are available here. My son has a number of favorites from this store. Even the wife and I enjoy some of the puzzle stuff.

Was there today with my sister looking for gifts for my little cousin. I had already went there on Tuesday and was helped, the staff was very friendly. But I was too indecisive then so that's why I came back with my sister. I had a staff member following me throughout the store. It was irritating and made me uncomfortable, especially since Matermind is a large store and she only followed me and my sister, two visibly black women. I got a really lovely book for my cousin. But if I had known of another Mastermind Toy store in another location, I would not have shopped there. I'm going to Montreal tomorrow to give my family the gifts I got them so that's why I had to buy a gift right then and there. But I will never be buying from this location again. I don't know what role that woman plays within the store but she is NOT discreet. Also the other staff weren't as friendly to me as they had been to the customer ahead of me in line. They smiled at her, made small talk with her, and they spoke to her with a tone of voice to indicate they were happy she was shopping there. When I got up to the counter I expected the same kind of happy friendly tone, but instead the cashier dropped their customer service voice, didn't make small talk, and didn't even look me in the eye. I'm not even the type of person who truly cares for small talk anywhere I go, but it was such a contrast to how they treated the customer ahead of me that it made me feel a type of way... like I said, will never be back here again.
